me: yeah… yknow it’s kinda funny that they built up this narrative that logan wears the suit to remember his friends and fellow x-men that got killed only for the top half to explode during the ending lol

brain: but what if it’s symbolic of logan finally forgiving himself for his past and being able to move on and find another purpose with wade and his timeline (especially since while seeing his life flash before his eyes it’s only scenes where he’s with wade) while still being able to remember his fallen friends as he still has the bottom half of the suit?

My BIGGEST GRIPE is their character assassination of Daemon. I didn’t think it was intentional at first, I just thought they didnt understand the morally grey/wild card aspects that make up his personality thus were writing him poorly. But after reading an interview from ryan, he essentially admitted theyre choosing to completely ruin Daemon’s character just because ryan doesn’t like Daemon….GRRM’s favourite character….

Crazy how canonically Aegon and Sunfyre have the strongest bond out of all the other dragon riders in HoTD but somehow the writers don’t think we deserve to see it…

honestly, i’d love to see a scene where aemond is alone (maybe after aegon congratulates him after storm’s end or after he gets the news of jaehaerys’ death) and finally acknowledges the consequences of his own actions and completely breaks down now that he is out of the public eye. it would feel so raw and human and show that vulnerable side of him even more

or maybe some scene in the coming season where he interacts with helaena or maybe even alicent and realizes, like you said, he has truly lost the trust of the people he believed he could count on and is now completely and utterly alone (and maybe that’s the reason why he gets involved with alys in the first place? because he feels more alone than ever and finds solace in her?)

I've thought about this!! I would have loved if season 2 began immediately after Storm's End right. Aemond arrives back in King's Landing, still in shock from what he's done, and has to put on this facade as he tells Alicent, Otto and Aegon that he's killed Luke. Alicent is horrified, Otto is furious, and Aegon is determined to turn it into a victory. Then he goes back to his rooms and is finally left alone, having let his family down for the first time in his life. AND MAYBE Helaena lingers in the doorway, reluctant to comfort him because she knows what he's done??

I've thought that it would be quite interesting to watch Aemond's downfall and descent into the character we know from Fire and Blood. In season 1 he seems like the only child Alicent can really rely on, he's proud and confident in his abilities, he thinks he's in control but rage gets the better of him at Storm's End and he lashes out, which has violent consequences he didn't intend for, Luke then Jaehaerys. He has this title of "kinslayer" attached to him and worst of all he's isolated from Alicent and Helaena. Which could push him to be more ruthless? Killing Rhaenys at Rook's Rest, going to Harrenhal, killing the members of House Strong, burning the Riverlands... and seeking comfort in Alys Rivers, fascinated by her visions?

I genuinely hope that when they do the Conquerors show they will just straight up ignore everything that Condal did with no explanation at all so like:

the conquerors have purple eyes (!!!) as well as silver-white eyebrows and eyelashes

the dragons are intensely colored and look like dangerous but beautiful creatures not some weird ass dinosaurs

Aegon’s crown actually has rubies in it and his armour is incredibly ornate and in general looks expensive and befit of a king not this cheap ugly thing we got in hotd

just scrap the Dragonstone design and give us the volcanic, dragon looking magical seat of the Targaryen house we deserve

And the thing is that all the changes in later generations could be really easily explained with Targaryens wanting to become and look more “western” and to fit into Westeros when they become rulers (except maybe Dragonstone but I’m willing to overlook that)

Something that pisses me off about seasons 4 & 5 of glee is that everyone always seems more offended at the actions of Ryder and Jake in regards to the love triangle with Marley than they do when people are invalidating Ryder’s childhood sa. Like Sam and Artie literally say that it’s not a big deal and that it would have been a dream come true and Schue mildly scolds them. BUT when Ryder sings Innocent Man in the Billy Joel episode to Marley he looks SO scandalized.
