A Chatham, Ont. mother is spearheading a class action lawsuit alleging a company that collected $14 million in investments from members of her community was actually a Ponzi scheme that fed nearly a third of its funds to Ontario’s self-described ‘crypto king’ Aiden Pleterski.
“It’s definitely been overwhelming,” Emily Hime, the 31-year-old mother, told CTV News Toronto in an interview earlier this month. “The financial stress of it all, it’s impacted my family life quite significantly.”
The class action, filed at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in May, is representing 125 people who invested with Banknote Capital Inc. after a whistleblower from the company filed a complaint to the Ontario Securities Commission in early 2023 alleging the owner pocketed investments. The lawsuit is ultimately aiming to trace and preserve assets with the goal of redistributing money to investors.

Finding Your Place, pt. 4
Early Wednesday evening in the WVBA Academy Gym was a time for classes and training. Most of the WVBA roster preferred the morning or afternoon if they trained on campus, but the majority of hopefuls worked first shift jobs in Atlanta and then trained in the evening. Of course, that didn’t mean the gym wasn’t devoid of WVBA fighters.
“Oi, Frenchie!” Aran Ryan shouted from one end of the row of treadmills to the other where Glass Joe was moving at a leisurely pace. “Ya plan to break a sweat or not? Ya movin’ slower than my sainted nan, an’ she’s been dead for 7 years! Hahahaha!”
Joe just shook his head, “You silly brute. Have you never heard of a warm-up?” Aran’s trash talk continued as Joe continued his calm jog, now putting a pair of wireless earbuds in to drown out the rude Irishman.
Elsewhere, the Hondo siblings were sparring in one of the rings under the watchful eye of their coach Piston Hurricane. Cutie was uncharacteristically slow in her movements, but a careful eye could see that she was mimicking King Hippo’s rather ironclad defense, one that her brother was having trouble penetrating.
“Patience, mi hijo,” Hurricane’s voice was firm and calm. “Pop the jab into her guard, but eyes open, claro? Hippo’s guard is strong, not impenetrable.”
“Hai, Hurricane-sensei.” Piston Hondo’s upper body movement was solid as he studied Cutie’s defenses. A sharp jab found a gap and Cutie’s cheek, snapping her head back.
Cutie smiled as she tightened her guard and started with some subtle head movements, “Way to go, onii-san! Keep it up… not that I’m going to make it easy.”
On the mats in a corner of the gym, near the doors, was a circle of local senior citizens, all gloved up with faces flush and smiles wide. Disco Kid, himself drenched in sweat, clapped his gloves together. “Alright, Senior Sluggers, good job! Let’s stretch it out and cool it down. Don’t want those muscles getting tight.”
The seniors followed along, laughter and chit chat bubbling amongst them as they stretched. Disco loved this. Watching others sharing in joy and fun, it fueled him. Especially through rough times. He’d lost a heartbreaker of a match against Piston Hondo last Saturday for a shot at the Minor Circuit Title. Now, he’d have to watch and hope he’d be able to fight the loser of that match sooner rather than later. But, Disco was able to lose himself in his Senior Sluggers class. He loved these guys and gals.
“Now, remember our motto and say it with me,” Disco held his gloved fists up in the air like he’d just won a hard fought bout and the seniors followed along. Then, together in one voice…
“Age is just a number when you’re livin’ in the groove!”
Yeah, I love this. Disco said bye to his various students as the class dispersed, filled with renewed energy. They got arthritis, sciatica, you name it, and none of that stops them from turning out every week. Man, I got no excuses. Just gotta…
“DAMN! STUPID! ANALOG! PIECE OF…”
The sudden shouts turned every head in the gym toward the speed bag stations. There, Allison Treape, Allie to her friends, was struggling with one of the bags. She stopped the bag with her hands and held it, her dropping to a whisper, “Do you not know who I am? My fiance is the World Champion. I’ve built machines that can rip off a man’s arm. If you think I’m going to let a silly shaped bag of air get the better of me, so help me…”
“How’s it hanging, Allie?” Disco’s voice startled Allie. She was so focused on her new nemesis that she didn’t notice Disco’s approach. His tone was light and there was an easy smile on his face, “Looks like the ol’ speed bag ain’t dancin’ to your beat today.”
In frustration, Allie slammed her wrapped fist into the bag, “You could say that.”
“I gotcha, girl,” Disco stepped to the side and folded his arms. “Show me whatcha’ doin’.”
“Okay.” Allie took a deep breath, stepped back, wiped her brow with the back of her hand, then went to work on the bag. She was hitting it hard, keeping a steady rhythm early. Then, the bag would wobble and, finally, spin erratically, completely ruining Allie’s flow and making her stop. With a low growl of frustration, she looked at Disco and motioned to the bag, “See?! This thing’s got it in for me.”
As the bag swayed, seemingly just to mock Allie, Disco chuckled a little, “Speed bags are tricky as all hell. It’s all about the sweet spot. The bag’s and yours. Watch. I’ll show you.”
Disco had pulled his gloves off and steadied the bag. Allie watched attentively as he started tapping the bag with steady, easy rhythm and energy. “Find the beat and keep the punches light. It’s a dance, not a fight. You want your fists kissing the bag, not trying to flatten it.”
“Equal and opposite reaction,” Allie nodded. “Why didn’t I realize that? Hit it too hard, it moves too fast. The less control I have, the less control it has.”
“Exactly, nerd,” Disco laughed lightly and Allie punched his arm with a grin. “Aight, little sis, what’s wrong?” Disco stopped the bag and Allie tossed him a towel. “You ain’t usually like this.”
Allie took a deep breath and leaned against the cool cinder block wall of the gym. “Mac and Doc left for England this morning and I’m just… I didn’t think I’d miss Mac like this so fast.”
“England?” Disco looked puzzled for a minute. “Why’d Mac and Doc go to England? And why couldn’t you go?”
“According to Mac, they are on a scouting trip with Gabby Jay.” Allie pushed herself off the wall and moved over to the speed bag, taking hold of it in her hands, “Don’t know why, but they said it was WVBA business and they wouldn’t have much down time.”
Slowly, Allie started tapping the bag as Disco watched, “That’s it, girl. Light and easy. Now, you know my boy ain’t stupid enough to mess around.”
“Oh God, no!” Allie laughed, nearly messing up her rhythm with the bag. She recovered quickly and started moving around the bag as her fists flew, “Paulie MacKenzie is a lot of things, but a ladies man isn’t one of them. No, I just… Since we got engaged, we’ve been inseparable, you know? I’ve traveled with him for every training camp, every fight. This is the longest we’ll be apart since he proposed.”
The bag now moved with ease and a steady beat. Allie duplicated Disco’s rapid flourish from the end of his little demonstration and slammed her right into the bag, a satisfied look on her face. “That’s my girl!” Disco smiled, hugging Allie’s shoulder tightly. “And I get it. But, you know Mac wouldn’t have gone without you if there was another choice.”
“I know,” Allie smiled and returned Disco’s hug. “Thanks, Luke.”
“I got you, sis,” Disco smiled.
Suddenly, the doors to the gym burst open. All eyes darted to see two large men from Facilities wheel in a massive wooden crate on a dolly. Letters stenciled on the side of the crate read “R.E.S.E. Mk. IV”.
“Looks like they got some new equipment for the gym.” Disco watched as the men struggled but, eventually, moved the crate to the floor. Movement caught Disco’s attention out of the corner of his eye. Allie was practically vibrating with giddy energy as the facilities crew went to work with a crowbar.
“I… I don’t believe it…” Allie’s voice was barely a whisper. “That can’t be…”
“Whatta we gawkin’ at?” Disco jumped at Aran’s voice suddenly to his other side. “Think they finally sprung for that stupid BowFlex machine ol’ Frenchie’s been whinin’ ‘bout.”
Joe had joined them to Allie’s other side, “Pardon, brute. I’ve never asked the WVBA to furnish any equipment for my personal use. Much less a Bow Flex.”
“Do you see that marking?” Allie ignored the others, pointing out a logo on the crate to Disco. “That crate’s from Robox.”
“Roblox?” Aran raised an eyebrow.
“RoBOX,” Allie corrected. “Robotic Boxing Incorporated. They make cutting edge training equipment and gear for combat sports. Boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, you name it.”
“Mademoiselle Treape,” Joe looked puzzled. “What is R.E.S.E.?”
Aran nudged Disco, “I got 20 says it’s a huge peanut butter cup.”
Allie looked to Joe like Aran wasn’t even there, “It’s pronounced reese…”
“Told ya’,” Aran whispered to Disco.
“... and it means Robox Electronic Sparring Equipment,” Allie continued. “The R.E.S.E. line are sparring machines, meant to allow fighters to go all out in sparring without the risk of hurting a human sparring partner. But, the last I heard, the Mark IV was still in lab tests.”
Disco, struggling to ignore Aran, leaned toward Allie as the facilities crew started prying loose the last few nails from the crate. “So, this is like, what? A boxing robot we run drills with?”
Allie’s eyes were locked on the crate, “Not at all! If the Mark IV can do everything I’ve heard, it should be completely autonomous and have adaptive AI. Can you believe it?! It can mimic any boxing style and adjust to its sparring partner’s needs in real time! It learns your every movement, your every punch. It’s unreal! Imagine the training you could get in.”
“Bloody hell!” Aran shook his head, “They’ve brought in the bloody Terminator and gave it boxing gloves have they?”
Even Disco was starting to look apprehensive, “I hate to say, girl, but I’m with the psycho on this one. I mean, I’ve seen those movies. Skynet. Hal. Megan. Venjix. That thing comes saying ‘would you like to play a game’ and I’m hitting it with a barbell.”
A loud creaking sound came from the crate and front of the large box fell away. Inside was an odd, blocky looking robot, just shy of six feet tall and vaguely humanoid. On its “chest” was a large padded area that looked like the same canvas used on many heavy bags. Most amusingly was its “head”. It looked all the world like a speed bag with lights for eyes and a mouth.
Boisterous laughter broke Allie from her awe and startled all but its source. “Oi! It looks like shite!” Aran doubled over in laughter. “Okay, okay, that’s the Terminator if it was a Simon Pegg movie. Bloody hell, high tech, my arse!”
Aran’s laughter continued as he went toward the locker room. Meanwhile, Allie rushed over to the Facilities crew. “It’s beautiful. Really clean work. Do you know if the programming is loaded? Has it already been field-tested? What’s its power source? Is it already charged…”
“Whoa, missy,” one of the Facilities men stepped forward. “You’re Allison, Mac’s girl, right?”
Allie smiled, “I like to think he’s ‘Allie’s guy’, but yes.”
They shared a laugh as Joe and Disco cautiously looked over the machine in the crate. “Well, miss,” the man continued, “we’re just the delivery men. Truthfully, you probably know more about this sort of thing than us. Wanna give it a go?”
The man offered a sleek black control pad to Allie. The pad’s design was a stark contrast to R.E.S.E. itself… and it was powered on. The readout showed “RESE-4 Standby Mode”.
Allie took the pad and looked to Disco and Joe with a mischievous grin, “Guys, come on. We’ve gotta try this out, right? Let’s put RESE-4 through its paces and see what it can do. C’mon, guys. Please?”
Disco and Joe looked at one another for a moment. “Disco, mon ami?”
“Yeah, Joe.” Disco’s voice was uncertain.
“I do believe we are to play a game, non?”
With an excited squeal, Allie powered on RESE-4 guided him toward the ring.

I keep forgetting Ryan was born in 2 0 0 2, and when it comes back to me I go through all 99 stages of grief for a minute
2 3 . 1 2 . 2 0 0 2, so barely even that! He could have been born in 2003!
Hbd I guess but *head in hands*

I was reading through your old reblogs and sage to say the tags you put on the Oilers shower post are amazing and I would love to read something like that!!
Copying and pasting the tags here (the blue text is the part I was talking about but I left the preceding tags for context if that makes sense?):
#there's another shower right next to the sitting shower 9 is it in the front corner of the picture? is that little glass alcove the entrance #to get in? like there's also horny potential for somebody in the big empty open space & somebody waiting to come in hesitating but you can #see their shadow & their silhouette in the glass the one outside the door knowing that the other is inside all alone showering but still not #coming in because they're giving them privacy etc being the last ones out & this doesn't feel like a connor/leon thing so maybe it's going #in the vague yamo pile but whoever's in the big shower room all alone jerking off & narrating & god knows sound would carry inside that #space & it could be that whoever's outside the door forgot something in there (left soap etc etc) & just happened to walk in on it (and/or #on whatever is going on in the shower stall) & can hear but can't see them but they can see them & can tell that they're watching/listening #through the frosted glass anyway ALSO what i was trying to get to with nuge/yamo (Imao i don't even think i said nuge at first) was like. #omega yamo who goes into heat/is playing through it & yamo gets ejected from the game with the narrative of nuge five for fighting for #defending him (maybe it's the end of the third maybe it's the second & nuge gets a 10 minute major & yamo gets pulled for a concussion check #because of the hit & then the doctors are like Imao stupid no you can't go back out you're in heat [yamo saw nuge fight for him 00] so the #two of them end up in there alone i like the middle of the second bc then nobody's there & wont be for a minute actually) but it's yamo in #the big open space & nuge outside the door checking to make sure he's okay & thinking that he'll be fine he can control it yamo won't smell #because he's in the showers nuge'll just bury his face in soap nuge waiting politely outside the door & yamo is being a MENACE. ohhhhh we're #gonna have to do research but what was the injury that yamo was out for be the original gifset that started this... this is the inciting event #yamo has been bullying nuge for AGES & by god he's gonna get what he wants even if it takes jerking off in the oilers home showers to bait #nuge into doing it. nuge like 'you ok?' has a conversation with yamo etc nuge: 'you gonna be ok to make it home' & yamo says yeah but not
If you were referring to the time Nuge fought Holl, it was a because Yamo took a bodycheck up high and he had to be taken back for concussion protocol just to be safe

Jealous!Eddie? Possessive!Eddie? Oh, you're definitely speaking my language. As much as I love Eddie being possessive after he and Reader get together, there's something about Eddie being a total jealousy monster while they're still just pining for one another that butters my biscuit.
Words: 2.9k
Warnings: age gap, Eddie is technically married to someone else but if you know this series you know what that's all about
[As You Wish masterlist]

The stoplight turns green, and you put pressure on the gas pedal of your gold Elantra. The car rumbles down the road as you bop your head and sing along to the radio. Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) by The Backstreet Boys is a great song, you don’t care what boy band haters say.
It’s part of the usual routine for you to be early when arriving at Hawkins Elementary School to pick up Ryan and Luke, but since your literature class let out twenty minutes before it was supposed to, you’re extra early. You turn your car into the school’s parking lot and find a visitor spot that will allow you to easily swing into the pick-up line when the time comes.
Car in park, you turn the volume on the radio up and tuck one leg underneath you. You’re so engrossed in the music that you have to do a double take when you see an attractive man walk past a few cars, headed toward the school.
It’s Eddie. Something is in his hand but he’s moving so briskly that it’s hard to tell what it is. Lead fills your stomach. Why is he here? What happened? Did something happen with the boys? Are they okay?
You yank the key out of the ignition mid-song and throw open the driver’s side door.
“Hey, Eddie!” you call as you jog to catch up with him—his long legs striding further in one step than either of his sons can go in three.
Eddie turns his head as he reaches for the handle of the door. He’s just reached the entrance, and he stops with his hand on top of the silver bar. You could almost swear his tense face eases into a smile when he sees you coming up behind him. But perhaps that’s just wishful thinking. Of course it is. What else would it be?
“What’s going on?” you ask. “Is everything okay?”
He sighs and pulls open the front door of the school, gesturing for you to step inside first. You do, and he follows in behind you. He lifts his other hand which is holding a pair of small pants.
“The school called me at work and said Luke spilled glue all over his pants, so I grabbed a pair from home for him to change into,” he explains. “I tried calling you when I got to the house, but I guess you were already on your way.”
It should probably surprise you more than it does that Luke got into such a sticky situation, but you’ve known him for long enough that this just seems par for the course.
“Oh, Luke,” you sigh as you and Eddie stride side by side down the hallway.
“He keeps life interesting,” Eddie says. He checks his watch and sees there’s less than half an hour left in the school day. He gestures toward a classroom door covered in student’s artwork. “Might as well grab Ryan from his class since it’s right here.”
You wait out in the hall as Eddie slips inside to get his oldest son.
“He did what?” you hear Ryan asking as Eddie opens the door on his way out. The little boy looks as if he’s going to say something else, but he sees you standing in the hall and immediately steps forward and wraps his arms around your waist. “Hi!”
“Hey, Ry.” You chuckle at his eagerness and ruffle his honey brown hair. “How was school?”
“Pretty good,” he says as he takes your hand. Both Munsons head down the hall, you tagging along since you don’t know the right direction to go in. “I played kickball in gym. I ran the bases so fast!”
“Nice!” You hold your free hand up for a high five, which he gladly returns.
Eddie stops in front of another classroom door and nods towards it.
“Okay, I’ll be right back.”
He slips inside and Ryan swings your joined hands between the two of you for a few moments until the door opens again and Luke waddles out in a bow-legged stance, feet slowly shuffling him along.
“What did you do?” Ryan asks with a sigh. It’s in the same exasperated tone that Luke brings out of a lot of people.
“Nothing!” his little brother defends. “The bottle was clogged so I took the lid off. Then it slipped out of my hands!”
Eddie lets out a silent chuckle as he closes the classroom door behind them.
“I think they’re stuck to me!” Luke says.
“Okay,” Eddie says, gently taking Luke by the shoulders and leading him towards a bathroom a few doors down. “I can help get them off.”
“Can Ryan?” Luke asks, reaching for the door handle.
“Ry?” Eddie looks at his oldest son.
“Yeah, let me help.”
Ryan holds the door open and Luke crab walks his way into the single bathroom. The door clicks closed behind them and Eddie gives you an amused look. You can’t help but giggle as the two of you wait out in the hall.
Sounds of movement come from the other side of the door, along with the murmur of Luke’s voice as he speaks to his brother. A few minutes pass before the door opens a crack and Ryan sticks his head out.
“Daddy?” he asks. “Can you get a Band-Aid from the classroom?”
“He’s bleeding?” Eddie asks, slight alarm creeping into his voice.
Ryan sighs. “Glue pulled off a scab on his knee.”
“Alright, I’ll be right back,” Eddie says. He looks at you as Ryan pulls his head back inside, and you nod, letting Eddie know you’ll be here with the boys.
Parents begin to trickle into the hallway. It’s the kindergarten wing so it’s not unusual for guardians to be waiting right outside the classroom to pick up their kids. Luke was more capable than that, he assured when he said that he could walk to the pick-up lane outside all on his own—or sometimes with Ryan.
“Everything okay?” a voice asks from behind you.
“Oh!” You’re slightly startled as you spin around to see a man standing near you.
A smile quirks up on one side of his mouth when he sees he surprised you. His smile is nice, you notice. In fact, all of his face is nice. He’s around Eddie’s age and height, with short black hair and piercing green eyes. Very attractive.
“Sorry,” he says. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“No, no, it’s okay,” you say with a wave of your hand. “Um, yeah, everything is okay. Just a glue incident.”
“Been there,” the man says with a gruff laugh. “Nail polish remover.”
“I’m sorry?” you ask.
“Nail polish remover will get the glue off of clothes,” he clarifies. “Just in case you or your husband didn’t know that.”
His words fluster you. Had he seen Eddie and just assumed he was your husband? Or was he just assuming in general? Either way, it takes a moment for you to compose yourself.
Part of you doesn’t want to correct him. But it’s possible the boys can hear this conversation through the wood of the door. Also, what if the man says something similar after Eddie comes back? Eddie would obviously refute, and you’d be mortified all the way around.
“Oh, uh, he’s um, he’s not my husband. He’s their dad. I’m the babysitter.”
“Ah, my mistake. Sorry.” He doesn’t look the least bit sorry though. “I should’ve guessed. You’re far too young to be their mom.”
He must’ve seen Eddie and at least Ryan, then.
Again, you’re flustered. He’s clearly flirting with you, so why does part of you want Eddie to hurry up and come back? This man is handsome and charming and neither of you are doing anything wrong by having this conversation with one another. There’s not a ring on his finger either, you notice.
You still haven’t responded though.
“You have a beautiful smile,” he says.
You hadn’t even realized you were smiling.
“Thank you,” you say, your smile turning shy.
The man takes a step closer to you and tilts his head to the side.
“Do you come by here every day? Or is it just my lucky day?”
Behind you, Eddie comes back with a Band-Aid in his hand. He hears the man’s question and immediately his hackles go up. His back straightens and his jaw sets as he purposely squeaks one of his black boots against the tile floor.
The sound has the intended effect, and you spin around in his direction. Why do you feel as though you’ve been caught doing something wrong? An image of Brittany’s beautiful, cold face flashes in your mind and the trace of guilt disappears.
“You got it?” you ask Eddie.
“Yep,” he states curtly.
He brandished the Band-Aid, realizing he had crumpled it in his fist in his irritation. He knocks on the bathroom door. “It’s me. Here’s the Band-Aid.”
Ryan opens it a crack and sticks his hand out. Eddie lays it in his palm as you hear a footstep right behind you.
Spinning back, you see that the handsome man is closer to you now. Eddie is not happy. But neither you nor the man notice.
“I feel like I would’ve noticed you here before,” the man says to you.
“I’m usually in the carpool,” you explain.
“See, I knew I would have recognized you,” he says with a bright smile. “You’re very pretty.”
Your face immediately fills with heat. So does Eddie’s, but for another reason entirely.
“Thank you,” you say.
A fist banging on the door behind you startles you, and you spin around to see Eddie pounding on the wood.
“How’s it going?” Eddie asks loudly.
“Good!” Luke calls back. “I’m almost all the way unstuck!”
Eddie takes a breath and turns towards you.
“Sweetheart, you don’t have to stay here through this.”
Though he didn’t consciously intend it, there’s possessiveness in the pet name. It’s not uncommon for him to call you “sweetheart,” but this time there’s a harshness in his tone that whispers he’s staking his claim on you.
This may be the only time Eddie has ever wanted you to go away from him. And it’s not because of him, but because of the flirtatious father that is not him. The father who can’t leave with you because he’s still waiting for his kid.
“Oh no, I’m fine,” you assure Eddie. “I can take the boys back home and you can go back to work.”
Eddie waves a hand dismissively.
“Nah, I already took the rest of the day off.”
The stranger behind you opens his mouth to speak, so Eddie makes sure to beat him to it.
“What do you say we go get some food once Situation Sticky Pants is solved?” Eddie asks. “The gremlins are always hungry.”
“If I had a nickel for every time Luke climbed into my car and immediately brought up food, I’d be able to buy this school,” you say with a fond smile.
Eddie’s responding chuckle makes your heart leap into your throat. You’re so ensnared by the man you’re so infatuated with that you almost miss his eldest son calling your name through the bathroom door.
Quickly, you shake it off and press your ear up against the smooth wood.
“Yeah, Ry?”
While your focus is on the boy talking to you from inside the bathroom, Eddie looks at the man behind you, steel in his deep brown eyes. The man doesn’t react or respond one way or the other. It irritates Eddie even further.
“What was the name of that movie we watched yesterday?” Ryan asks you.
“Flubber?”
“That’s it!” you hear Luke say.
“Okay, thank you!” Ryan adds.
You pull away from the door with a soft chuckle.
“I really hope whatever conversation they’re having about that movie has nothing to do with getting Luke’s pants unstuck,” Eddie says.
You lean back against the cool, white brick wall next to the bathroom door and the man sidles up closer to you. Eddie doesn’t have the chance to intervene before he speaks this time.
“I know it’s a shot in the dark,” the man says to you, “but would you want to get dinner sometime?”
You’re stunned speechless. Sure, he had been flirting with you, but you assumed that’s all it was. Just some innocent, fun flirting. A date could also be some innocent fun, you tell yourself. And this man has been nothing but kind and respectful towards you. But…it doesn’t feel right. It’s hard to parse out if it feels wrong accepting another man’s advances in front of Eddie because of how you feel for your boss, or you just don’t want to go out with the guy, as nice as he seems. Just because he’s nice doesn’t mean you owe him anything. Regardless, you feel a sense of relief when you decide to decline his offer.
What you don’t know is that Eddie is ready to combust behind you. Waiting for you to answer the question is pure agony for him. He’s pretty sure he’ll burst into flames if you keep him in suspense any longer.
“Oh, that’s very sweet of you,” you say.
Eddie’s heart seizes in his chest. He leans his shoulder against the wall, hoping it will help keep him propped up.
“But…” you continue, and Eddie’s heart starts beating again, even if it’s at an erratic rhythm.
“I actually have a boyfriend though,” you finish.
Eddie feels sick. He half thinks he’ll have to barge in on the boys in the bathroom and empty his stomach into the toilet.
The man gives you a sad smile and nods his head.
“He’s a lucky guy.”
You offer him a small smile just as the bathroom door bangs open and the boys step out—Luke clad in his glue-free jeans.
“How we doing?” you ask them.
“Good!” Luke grins and gives you two thumbs up. His previous pair of jeans are slung over his shoulder. Eddie slips them off and rolls them up into a ball.
“We ready to go?” Eddie asks.
Luke nods his head enthusiastically and slips his smaller hand into yours. He begins to pull you in the direction of the school’s exit. You turn your head as you’re pulled away and give the man a small smile.
“Have a nice day,” you wish him.
“You as well,” he replies.
Once your gang makes it into the parking lot, the boys start bickering about whose car they want to ride in. They come up with Rock, Paper, Scissors as a way to decide.
While they play that, Eddie turns to you.
“Boyfriend, huh?” he asks. It takes a Herculean amount of effort to keep bitterness from coating those words.
Eddie knows he has no right to ask you about this and it’s completely inappropriate. Yet, he can’t stop himself from asking.
“Hmm?” you question. As soon as his question registers in your brain, adrenaline pumps through your body, eager to let Eddie know that you’re very available—even if it doesn’t make a difference one way or the other. “Oh! No, no, I don’t have a boyfriend. My best friend taught me to use that excuse when I don’t want to accept. It’s a no, but the guy won’t get all bent out of shape or start harassing me because it doesn’t really hurt his pride.”
“Wow,” Eddie says, blowing out a breath. He’s immensely relieved that you’re single, but also annoyed that you’ve had to employ this trick for your safety. ‘I am so sorry that you have to do that. A ‘no’ should be enough.”
“Should be.” You agree with a shrug. “But it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
“Scissors!” Luke exclaims before he turns in your direction. “We’re riding with you!”
“Want to meet at the diner on Essex?” Eddie asks.
“Sure!”
Eddie ushers the boys into the back of your car and makes sure they’re buckled in before walking across the parking lot to his own truck. As he slips into the driver’s seat and turns the key in the ignition, Eddie replays the last fifteen minutes in his head.
“She said no to that guy,” Eddie muses out loud to himself as he navigates through the traffic that’s collected in front of the school. “She said no to that guy because she has a boyfriend. But she doesn’t have a boyfriend.”
A large sigh of relief spills from his lips. The mere thought of you having a boyfriend created a multitude of knots in Eddie’s stomach. He can’t even bear to think about how much of a hypocrite it all makes him.
“But…” Eddie continues to himself, a new sickening thought taking root. “Oh, fuck. What if she didn’t want to date that douche because he’s older than her. My fucking age.”
The thought disheartens him even more than the idea of you having a boyfriend does. He reaches up and rubs his calloused hands over his face as he rolls up to a red light.
“Jesus Christ, Munson,” he groans. “You’re sitting here, talking to yourself about whether or not she has a boyfriend, or if there’s a possibility she could be into someone older. You’re fucking married, douchebag. It shouldn’t matter one way or the other if she's with someone or not. Or who she might want to date or not.”
The light turns green, and Eddie lets his foot rest heavy against the gas.
Maybe none of this should matter to Eddie. But it sure as hell does.

Trying to have a romantic night at home with Hugh but the kids and then Ryan who rings him keep runing the mood
😉
Romance and Unicorn Plushies
Hugh Jackman x f!reader
A/N: Thank you for this idea, and I hope y'all like it! xx
Warnings: fluff
Enjoy!
---------------------------------------------------
Tonight was supposed to be our night. Hugh had finally finished his work, the kids were tucked in, and we were going to have that long-overdue, romantic evening we'd been craving for weeks.
I could already picture it - just the two of us, no interruptions, candlelight, soft music, and then maybe... well, more.
He was in the kitchen finishing up Dinner, and I couldn't take my eyes off him. The way he moved, so effortlessly casual, like he wasn't even aware of how ridiculously attractive he was.
His forearms flexed as he stirred the sauce, and I found my mind drifting to much less innocent thoughts.
"Careful." Hugh teased without even turning around, his voice a low mumble.
"If you keep looking at me ike that, dinner's going to end up burned."
I leaned back against the counter, niting my lip as I gave him a slow once-over.
"Maybe I like my food with a bit of heat."
He turned then, giving me thas boyish grin that always made my heart race.
"Is that so?" He walked over, eyes never leaving mine as he placed his hands on either side of me, caging me in against the counter.
"I can think of a few ways to turn up the heat."
His breath was warm against my neck, sending a shiver down my spine as he leaned in, just close enough for his lips to brush against my ear. The nearness of him, the smell of him, was making it hard to focus on anything other than how padly I wanted him to close the small gap between us.
"Like what?" I asked, my voice teasing as I tilted my head, giving him more access.
"Mmm.." he murmured, his lips grazing my skin in the softest, most frustrating way.
"I could show you.. but it's much more fun if I make you beg for it."
I let out a soft laugh, running a hand up his arm, feeling the muscles flex beneath my touch.
"Hugh Michael Jackman.. do you really think I'm going to beg?"
He smirked, that slow, dangerous smile that set my pulse racing.
"Oh, love, I know you will."
Before I could come up with a witty response, his lips captured mine, slow and deliberate, as if he had all the time in the world to drive me insane. His hands slid around my waist, pulling me closer until our bodies were pressed flush against each other. The heat between us was immediate, electric, and I was suddenly not hungry for anything other than him.
He pulled back just slightly, his lips still hovering over mine, teasing me with every breath.
"Pasta's almost ready.."
I groaned, tugging him back toward me.
"I don't care about pasta!"
His laughter rumbled through his chest as he kissed me again, deeper this time, his hands slipping beneath my shirt to trace lazy patterns on my skin. I could feel every inch of him, the tension building between us like a coiled spring ready to snap.
"Are you sure?" he murmured against my lips. "I've been slaving over a hot stove for you."
I couldn't help the laugh that escaped me as I pulled him even closer, our bodies flush.
"If you think pasta's more important than this right now, I'm gonna start questioning your priorities!"
"Fair point." he whispered with a grin and his hands wandering lower.
"But you haven't even tried it yet."
His lips trailed down my neck, and tilted my head back, completely giving in to the sensations he was pulling out of me. He knew exactly what he was doing, exactly how to get me to the point where I couldn't think about anything but him. And he was enjoying every second of it.
Just as his hands slipped a little lower, the sound of giggling echoed from upstairs.
We both froze.
"You've gotta be kidding me!" Hugh groaned, dropping his head to my shoulder.
"They swore they were going to sleep." I said, exasperated.
But the laughter continued, and there was no use pretending they'd settle down on their own.
Hugh reluctantly let go of me and straightening up.
"I'Il go check on them."
"I'll come with you." I said with a sigh, and we both headed upstairs.
Sure enough, Ava and Oscar were wide awake, tangled up in sheets and pillows, whispering about something and clearly not planning to sleep anytime soon.
"Guys, come on.." Hugh said, rubbing is forehead.
"You promised you'd be asleep by now."
"Sorry, Dad.." Ava said, looking guilty but still too amused to be fully remorseful.
Oscar just grinned, as if this was all part of his master plan.
"We couldn't sleep."
I couldn't help but smile despite myself.
They were adorable, but right now, I wanted nothing more than to be back downstairs with Hugh, picking up where we'd left off.
"Alright.." Hugh sighed, trying to keep the frustration out of his voice.
"But seriously, you need to go to bed. It's late."
"Can we have one more story? Pleeeease!" Ava asked, pulling out the big, puppy-dog eyes and Hugh, of course, melted immediately.
"One more." he agreed smiling. "But that's it! Then you sleep!"
I gave him a look, raising an eyebrow. He just shrugged sheepishly.
He managed to get them settled after one more short story, and by he time we made it back downstairs, I was ready to pick up exactly where we'd left off. Hugh, as if reading my mind, grabbed my hand, pulling me back into his arm: with that same fiery look in his eyes.
"Where were we?" he asked, his voice a low, seductive murmur. His iands slipped down my back, and I shivered under his touch.
I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him in closer.
"I think you were about to make me forget my own name."
He chuckled softly, his breath warm against my neck.
"You make it very hard to keep track of time."
His lips brushed mine, and this time the kiss was deeper, more urgent. His hands slid under my shirt, fingertips grazing the skin of my waist, sending shivers through me. I pressed against him, feeling the solid warmth of his body, every muscle taut with restrained desire.
"Bedroom?" I breathed between kisses.
"Good idea." he muttered, lifting me slightly as we stumbled toward the stairs again without our lips parting.
Just as we reached the foot of the stairs, the doorbell rang.
We both stopped, frozen in place.
Hugh groaned loudly, resting his forehead against mine.
"This is some sort of cosmic joke!"
I couldn't help but laugh, even though I was equally annoyed.
"You should probably get that."
He ran a hand through his hair, clearly frustrated, but headed to the door. I leaned against the banister, trying to catch my breath and calm the frustration that was building as well.
We were so close.
Hugh opened the door, and there, standing in the doorway, was none other than Ryan.
"Ryan?" Hugh asked, exasperation clear in his voice. "It's almost ten o'clock at night!"
"Hey, mate!" Ryan grinned, strolling into the house like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"I just remembered my daughter left her unicorn plushy at your place."
Hugh blinked, still confused. "And you remembered that now?"
Ryan nodded solemnly.
"Yeah, she can't sleep without it, so I couldn't wait till morning."
Suddenly he leaned in, whispering just loud enough for us to hear.
"She has superhuman ears for the sound of her teddy bear being touched by anyone but her!"
I couldn't help the laugh that escaped me, and when Hugh glanced back at me with amusement, I shrugged.
"Unicorn plushies are serious business!"
"Yeah, see! She gets it!" Ryan said, smiling brightly. "You're the real MVP here!"
Hugh stepped aside, letting Ryan in with a sigh. "It should be somewhere in the living room. Try to be quiet. The kids just went to sleep."
As Ryan tiptoed through the house with exaggerated care, I couldn't stop giggling.
Hugh's frustration was palpable, but there was something so absurd about the situation, it was impossible to stay mad. Ryan, of course, found the plushy within minutes, triumphantly holding it up as though he had found some priceless artifact.
"I found it!" he whispered, glancing around dramatically, as if afraid the sound of his voice alone might wake the kids.
"Great. Now, out." Hugh said, trying to hide a grin, but failing miserably. He leaned against the doorframe crossing his arms in a way that would've looked intimidating to anyone who wasn't Ryan Reynolds.
"Leaving, leaving!" Ryan said, mock-saluting. "Sorry for the intrusion. Looks like you two were busy."
Hugh groaned playfully as Ryan winked at me before strolling out the door, whistling to himself like nothing out of the ordinary had happened.
Hugh closed the door behind him and turned to me, his face a mix of exhaustion and amusement.
"Why do I put up with him?"
"Because he's your best friend!" I teased, still laughing.
Hugh sighed, running a hand through his hair before walking back over to me, pulling me back into his arms.
"Now, if there are no more interruptions.
Where were we?" I asked, letting my hands wander across his chest feeling the tension still simmering between us.
"I think I was about to make you beg." he murmured, his voice low and teasing, lips brushing against mine.
"And what makes you think I'm going to beg?" I challenged, wrapping my arms around his neck.
His smile widened, a wicked glint in his eyes.
"Oh, love, I'll have you begging before the night's over."

𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐄𝐓 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 | 𝐑𝐘𝐀𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐃
Tumblr media
summary: after not being able to see ryan for a while, you finally get a moment of quiet with him.
warnings: just simple fluff!
word count: 0.96k
notes: i love writing cute and innocent fluff
As you knocked on Ryan’s door, the crisp scent of fall leaves mixed with the faint warmth of the setting sun hit you, relaxing slightly. The cool breeze rustled through your hair, making your shoulders ease just a bit as you exhaled. It had been a gruelling couple of weeks, school dragging you down with assignments. Every time you tried to carve out time with Ryan, life found a way to throw in another roadblock. But not today. Today was for you two, and nothing was going to take that away.
Ryan opened the door, his face lighting up with a smile that made your stomach flutter every single time. “Hey, stranger,” he said softly, pulling you in for a hug. His strong arms wrapped around you, the embrace so steady and solid that the exhaustion you had been carrying seemed to melt away as you sank into him.
“Ryan, I am so tired,” you mumbled into his chest, your voice muffled but full of relief. You inhaled the mixed scent of his deodorant and cologne, a scent that you’d grown to miss. “I’ve missed you.”
Ryan’s hand began to rub gentle circles on your back, his lips pressing a quick kiss to the top of your head. “I’ve missed you, too,” he murmured, his voice low and soothing. “Hockey’s been kicking my ass. I’m glad you’re here.” The sincerity in his voice was like a balm to your frayed nerves.
Ryan kept you in his grasp momentarily, only pulling back briefly to press a lazy kiss to your lips, another thing you missed dearly in your time away. The scruff of his stubble scratched your chin gently, sending a wave of shivers down your torso. Eventually, you broke apart, Ryan stepping back slightly with his arm still secure around your waist as he guided you inside.
The living room was exactly what you needed—cozy, and inviting, the couch laden with fluffy blankets just begging for you to collapse into. The Corpse Bride was queued up on the TV, a movie you both had promised to watch together as Halloween crept closer. You kicked off your shoes and dropped onto the couch with an exaggerated groan, the weight of the past few weeks finally slipping off your shoulders.
“I don’t even care what we watch,” you said, stretching out your legs and grabbing one of the blankets to pull over you. “I just want to be here with you and not think about anything for a little while.”
Ryan chuckled, sinking down beside you, pulling your feet into his lap like it was second nature. “You and me both,” he said, his voice like a soft rumble. His fingers found their way to your ankle, absentmindedly drawing lazy patterns as the movie’s opening credits rolled. But the familiar comfort of Ryan’s presence, combined with the warmth of the blankets and the hum of the TV, began to pull you under. You tried to fight it, wanting to watch one of your favourite halloween movies. However, your eyelids grew heavier, and before long, you drifted off, the stress of the weeks before getting the best of you.
It was only a few minutes into the film when you mumbled something incoherent and shifted, your head resting on the arm of the couch. Ryan glanced over and smiled to himself as he paused the movie. He didn’t mind, not one bit. In fact there was something endearing about seeing you so peaceful after all the chaos you’d both been through. He watched for a moment, the gentle rise and fall of your chest, the way your brow had finally relaxed, your features soft with sleep.
Careful not to wake you, Ryan continued tracing slow circles on your ankle, the quiet of the room filling with the warmth of your shared silence. At that moment, everything else fell away—the pressures of school, the endless hours of practice. Right now, it was just you and him, tucked away from the rest of the world, and that was enough.
You stirred after a while, blinking groggily before realizing you’d fallen asleep. You shot up, rubbing your eyes. “Ryan, I’m so sorry,” you mumbled, sounding guilty. “We were supposed to be hanging out and I just… passed out on you.”
Ryan only chuckled, his thumb brushing gently over your knee, his eyes soft with affection. “Don’t apologize,” he said, his voice a low hum of reassurance. “You needed it. And honestly? I’m just happy you’re here. That’s all I wanted.” His words settled over you like a comforting blanket, wrapping around your heart in the best way.
You leaned into him, resting your head on his shoulder. “You’re too good to me, you know that?”
Ryan laughed quietly, his arm tightening around you, pulling you just a bit closer. “Maybe. Or maybe we both just needed this—a break from everything.”
After a pause, he added, with a small smirk, “How about we just…take a nap together?”
You looked up at him, your heart swelling at the simplicity of his offer. It wasn’t about plans or expectations. It was just about being together, and that was all you needed. “That sounds perfect,” you agreed, snuggling back into the couch.
You rearranged the blankets, settling in together on the couch. You nestled yourself into Ryan’s side, your head resting on his chest, his heartbeat a steady and soothing rhythm beneath your ear. He pulled the blanket up over you guys, his arm draped around you protectively as if to shield you from the world outside.
For the first time in a long time, everything felt calm for the two of you. Just you and Ryan, tangled together, resting in the quiet peace you’d both been craving.

Idk if you saw that interview where Hugh was like "I don't have a safe word I want to keep going" but something where it's actually giggly sex 😭
A/N: i hope you like this cuz idk if it turned out the way you wanted but here you go <3 ill add details later cuz its 4 am rn and im tired
The day had been buzzing with excitement as you prepared for the big interview. Hugh and Ryan, ever the dynamic duo, were scheduled to promote their latest film, and you knew it was going to be a mix of sharp wit and hilarious banter. As you stood behind the camera, you watched the two of them take their places, standing side by side. Hugh wore a mint-green polo shirt, his posture relaxed and his face lit up with a broad smile. Ryan, in contrast, had a more deadpan expression, dressed casually in a dark, patterned shirt.
The interview started off smoothly, with the host asking the usual questions about the movie. But then, as expected, the conversation took a playful turn. Ryan, ever the joker, looked straight into the camera, his expression serious as he quipped, "My safe word is ‘please stop, that hurts.’"
The crew burst into laughter, and you couldn’t help but chuckle from your spot behind the scenes.
Hugh, standing beside him, grinned widely, the mischievous glint in his eyes unmistakable. "I don’t have a safe word," he declared, his voice deep and smooth. "I want to keep going."
The room erupted in laughter again, the chemistry between the two actors on full display. In that moment, Hugh’s eyes flicked over to where you were standing, and he caught your eye. He flashed you a smile—half playful, half something deeper—and it sent a warm shiver down your spine. It was a fleeting moment, but it felt like a private joke shared just between the two of you.
The rest of the interview continued in the same vein, filled with jokes and teasing, but that brief exchange lingered in your mind, making your heart race.
Later that evening, you arrived home, the day’s events still dancing through your mind like a slow, sweet melody. The house was wrapped in a soft, peaceful silence, but as soon as you stepped inside, you noticed Hugh. He was already there, leaning casually against the kitchen counter, a drink cradled in his hand, his gaze lifting to meet yours the moment you entered. His smile—slow, teasing, and so familiar, curved at the corner of his lips, the kind that always made your heart skip a beat.
"You seemed to be enjoying yourself today," he said, his voice rich with warmth and playful insinuation, the sound of it wrapping around you like a slow caress.
You couldn't help but grin, your steps carrying you closer to him, the space between you shrinking with each beat of your heart. "You and Ryan," you said, shaking your head slightly, your smile widening, "were having way too much fun. That safe word comment really got to you, didn’t it?"
Hugh chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound that vibrated through the air, settling in your chest. He set his drink aside, his arms slipping around your waist in one fluid motion, pulling you against him. The warmth of his body seeped into yours, making you melt into his embrace. "Maybe," he murmured, his lips hovering near your ear, his breath warm and tantalizing against your skin, sending a delicious shiver down your spine. "But it was your laugh that I couldn’t stop thinking about."
Before you had a chance to respond, his mouth was on yours, soft and slow at first, tasting, teasing, exploring. The kiss was sweet, but laced with the same playful energy that had lingered between you all day. His lips pressed harder, more insistent now, as if he wanted to consume every thought, every breath, every inch of you. His hands roamed over your back, pulling you closer still, until there was no space left between your bodies, only heat and the promise of something more.
You laughed softly against his lips, your breath catching as his kiss deepened, his tongue teasing yours, playful yet full of intent. "So," you murmured, your voice breathless as you broke the kiss, just for a moment, "no safe word, huh?"
His grin widened, wicked and full of mischief, as his hands slipped under your shirt, his fingers brushing against the bare skin of your waist. He nuzzled into your neck, his lips trailing feather-light kisses along your pulse. "Only if you say, 'please stop, that hurts,'" he teased, his voice low and rough with desire.
A laugh bubbled up from your chest, but it quickly dissolved into a soft moan as Hugh’s kisses turned into playful nips, his teeth grazing your skin in a way that made your entire body hum with anticipation. The banter, the teasing, it all faded into the background as his hands moved over you, exploring, claiming, until all that remained was the heat between you, the shared breath, the undeniable pull of desire.
Hugh's lips continued their tantalizing path, leaving a trail of warmth and tingling sensation wherever they touched. And your laughter melted into moans, soft whispers exchanged between kisses, the playful energy from the day morphing into something deeper, more intimate, as you both surrendered to the moment.
He scooped you up effortlessly, a surprised squeak escaping your lips as he lifted you into his arms. The feeling of his strength, the way his arms cradled you securely against his chest, made your heart race. With every step toward the bedroom, the anticipation grew, a heady mix of excitement and desire swirling in the air between you.
He set you down on the bed with a gentleness that contrasted with the fiery intensity in his eyes. His gaze never left yours as he slowly undressed you, his hands moving with deliberate care, as if savoring the moment of revealing each part of you.
Hugh paused for a moment, taking in the sight of you laid out before him, a look of awe and affection on his face. The room was quiet except for the sound of your mingled breaths, heavy with expectation. He leaned down, his lips finding yours in a kiss that started soft and sweet but quickly deepened, growing hungrier, more demanding. You melted into it, your hands reaching to pull him closer, to feel his warmth against you.
In the soft, warm glow of the room, your bodies were tangled up in the sweetest way, the gentle rise and fall of your breaths matching as you snuggled close. Hugh’s eyes twinkled as they met yours, a mix of love and a playful glint that made your heart skip. His forehead rested against yours, both of you grinning, caught up in the cozy, silly intimacy of the moment.
"I love you sooo much," he whispered with a giggle, his breath warm and soft against your lips. You barely had a chance to respond before he kissed you, quick, teasing kisses that made you both laugh, your smiles breaking between every kiss. His hand slid down your side, fingers tracing your skin like it was the softest thing he’d ever touched. He paused, looking up at you with an exaggerated, playful grin. "Ticklish?" he teased, giving your side a tiny, playful squeeze, and you burst into giggles, squirming beneath him.
As he gently touched you, it wasn’t rushed or intense; it was slow, sweet, and filled with those giggly, breathless moments where you couldn’t help but smile at each other. Every touch was tender, like he was trying to make you laugh as much as he was trying to make you feel good. When his fingers reached your core, you gasped with surprise, but it turned into a light, joyful laugh as your body arched instinctively towards him, the tension mixed with pure delight.
He smiled too, his breathy laughter joining yours. "Oh, you like that?" he teased, his voice soft and playful. You nodded, biting your lip, trying to keep the laughter at bay as his fingers moved with a gentle rhythm that made you feel safe, loved, and totally adored.
The pleasure was real, but so was the lightness between you two. "Oh my gosh," you murmured through another giggle as he hit just the right spot, and Hugh grinned like he was so proud of himself. His thumb circled in a way that had you gasping one moment and laughing the next, the closeness making everything feel warm and perfect, like the two of you were sharing something so beautiful.
"Let go for me," he whispered with a smile, leaning down to kiss your nose, his voice filled with love and mischief all at once. You clung to him as he coaxed you higher and higher, your body trembling, but your heart so full of joy that you couldn’t help but keep smiling.
When the release came, it was like the sweetest kind of relief—your body tensing and then melting into pure, soft bliss. You smiled through it, your hands gripping his arms as the waves of pleasure washed over you, feeling like your whole body was filled with light. "Oh, wow," you gasped between soft, breathless chuckles, and Hugh was right there with you, pressing kisses all over your face like he couldn’t get enough.
"You’re so cute," he murmured, his voice filled with affection as his hands stayed on you, grounding you, keeping the moment tender and safe. You caught your breath, the two of you still tangled up together, all smiles and sweetness.
After a moment, Hugh gave you a playful look, his eyes gleaming with that teasing light. "Round two?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows as he tugged at his waistband, making you excited all over again. You nodded, grinning, feeling giddy with love and anticipation.
He moved slowly, undressing like he was putting on a show just for you, every move exaggerated in the silliest, most endearing way. When he finally joined you again, his body warm and familiar, he hovered above you, his eyes searching yours one more time, but this time with pure playfulness.
With a slow, gentle movement, he entered you, both of you gasping, but then immediately relaxing. His movements were slow, steady, but filled with love, each thrust bringing you closer, but in the sweetest, most joyful way. You wrapped your arms around him, pulling him close, the two of you so connected that it felt like the world melted away.
“Look at me,” he whispered through a grin, his voice full of love. You opened your eyes, meeting his gaze, and the pure adoration there made your heart swell. He smiled down at you, his eyes twinkling like you were the only person in the world, and you felt like you were floating.
The pleasure built, slowly, softly, until it was almost too much—almost. "Are you sure you don't need a safe word" Hugh said trough the moans as he looked down at you. "No hugh, u can fuck me as hard and as many times as you want" you maneged to get out. And then, with one last, sweet thrust, you were falling over the edge together, the release gentle but overwhelming, your bodies trembling with it. Tears were forming at your eyes, as the last waves of pleasure rolled through you. Hugh held you close, smiling again, his face pressed against your neck as you both caught your breath, wrapped up in each other.
“You’re perfect,” he whispered, kissing your forehead, his voice soft and filled with so much love. You smiled, feeling like the luckiest person in the world as you lay there together, the room quiet, your hearts full. And as you snuggled into him, feeling the steady beat of his heart against yours, you knew this was love real, wrapped up in a moment you’d never forget.
"Today was fun," you murmured, resting your head against his chest.
Hugh hummed in agreement, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "It was. We should definitely do it again sometime. Maybe with a few new safe words."
You both laughed again, the sound carrying you into a peaceful, contented sleep, still wrapped up in each other’s arms.

As you pull into the driveway of your home, you give two quick honks before shifting the car into park. Anticipation bubbles inside you as you look forward to taking Ryan to his baseball practice. Undoing your seat belt, you glance at your watch to check the time, only to realize you're running late. A sigh escapes your lips, accompanied by a roll of your eyes at your oversight. Just as you're about to step out of the car, the front door swings open, drawing your attention away from your tardiness.
Ryan bounds down the steps, his red and white Raptors uniform proudly displaying his school's name. His baseball bag hangs heavily from his back as he rushes towards you. With a burst of energy, he throws himself into your arms, squeezing your midsection tightly and burying his head against your belly.
"Hi Mommy, I'm so excited you're here," he mumbles into you, his voice muffled by your shirt.
"Hi, baby, I'm thrilled to be here too," You reply, wrapping your arms around him and ruffling the curls on his head. "You need a haircut," you tease gently as you glance down at his tousled hair.
"Never," he declares with a shake of his head, a playful glint in his eyes.
“There’s no convincing him, I’ve tried,” Natasha says as she steps onto the front porch, her voice carrying a hint of amusement. You look up to acknowledge her, only to do a double take. Natasha looks incredible. She's sporting a fitted white tee that accentuates her toned figure, paired with denim shorts that hug her curves perfectly. Sunglasses perch on top of her head, and a pair of Converse shoes complete the effortlessly chic ensemble. It's not just about the outfit itself, but how she wears it with confidence.
“Is that what you wear to Little League?” you ask, tilting your head as you take in her casual yet stylish attire.
Natasha chuckles softly, a playful glint dancing in her eyes. “Well, I figured I’d give the other parents something to talk about,” she replies with a smirk.
“Interesting,” You smile back.
“Mommy, do you like my outfit?” Emma asks proudly as she stands beside Natasha. She's wearing a tart orange top paired with biker shorts, and her feet are adorned with the sparkliest shoes you've ever seen.
You glance over at Emma, a smile spreading across your face at her vibrant ensemble. "Wow, Emma, you look amazing!" you exclaim, genuinely impressed by her bold fashion choice. "Those shoes are dazzling."
Natasha beams with pride at Emma's excitement. "You look fantastic, sweetheart," she adds, reaching out to tousle Emma's hair affectionately.
Emma happily bounces down the steps one by one, her infectious giggles filling the air. Natasha's heart skips a beat as she watches her, a mini heart attack looming with each skipped step, especially when Emma forgoes holding onto the railing altogether.
You, still holding onto Ryan, quickly adjust, freeing one of your arms to reach out and steady Emma as she descends. With a reassuring smile, you wrap your arm around her, providing the support she needs to navigate the steps safely. Natasha breathes a sigh of relief as she sees you taking care of Emma, her worry dissipating as she watches the scene unfold.
“Okay, let’s all make it to the practice in one piece,” You remind Emma as she smiles up at you. “Do you have everything?” You ask Ryan and he nods.
“Yep, all set,” He pats his backpack.
“Mommy, are we going to get pizza after this game?” Emma questions eagerly. “My tummy has been rumbling for like an hour now. I think we have to get food.”
You chuckle at Emma's enthusiasm, nodding in agreement. "Pizza sounds like a great idea, sweetheart," you reply, glancing over at Natasha for confirmation.
Natasha smiles warmly, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Pizza it is," she confirms. "But first, let's cheer on Ryan at his practice and game, okay?"
Emma nods eagerly, her excitement evident as she bounces on the balls of her feet. "Okay, Mommy! Go, Ryan!" she cheers, already looking forward to the post-game pizza feast.
“Race to the car?” Ryan suggests, and Emma takes off before she even agrees to it.
You watch the two of them run towards your car, their laughter filling the air as they argue over who gets the front seat before you let out a soft sigh.
“Does the bickering ever stop?” you mumble more to yourself than anyone else.
“I don’t think it does,” Natasha laughs, joining you by your side. She wraps her arms around your body, pulling you close. Despite the recent tension with Yelena, you had hoped things wouldn’t change between the two of you."Hey you," She greets, her voice filled with warmth and affection as she looks into your eyes.
You turn to face Natasha, a small smile playing on your lips as you meet her gaze. Despite the lingering worries, being in her embrace brings a sense of comfort and reassurance.
"Hey back," you reply softly, leaning into her touch. "I'm glad you're here." You lean in for a quick kiss, savoring the taste of cherry lip gloss on her lips. “Ready to go?”
“I am,” Natasha nods. “Though earlier Ryan told me that he wished it was just the two of you going.”
“He did?” You glance over to the kids who are now both seated in the backseat.
“Mhmm,” Natasha hums. “It might be for the better.”
You ponder her words for a moment, considering Ryan's perspective. "Maybe he just wants some one-on-one time," you muse, glancing back at the kids with a thoughtful expression. "We can make that happen sometime soon." The idea of spending quality time with Ryan fills you with warmth, knowing that nurturing your bond with him is just as important as maintaining your relationship with Natasha.
"Come on, Mommy, I'm going to be late!" Ryan calls out, rolling down his window to get your attention.
You smile at his urgency, realizing that you've been caught up in the moment. "I'm coming, Ryan!" you call back, giving Natasha a quick squeeze before making your way to the driver's seat. As you start the car, you can't help but feel grateful for these little moments with your family, cherishing the bonds that hold you all together. You’re so glad you get to experience this again.
*****************
You stand along the fence, the sweltering heat causing you to fan yourself off as you watch the game unfold in front of you. Somewhere behind you, Natasha sits with Emma, sharing popcorn and a few cold water bottles between them. Despite the discomfort of the heat, your eyes remain fixed on the field, eagerly awaiting Ryan's turn to bat. Each pitch and play holds your attention, anticipation building with each moment as you wait for the perfect opportunity to cheer on your son.
“Did we miss anything?” Kerry Cook asks as she settles into her spot next to Natasha. Her husband, Doug, follows behind, carrying their eight-month-old in a carrier on his body.
“No, not yet. It’s been slow,” Natasha replies, briefly tearing her gaze away from the field to acknowledge Kerry and Doug. Despite the conversation, her attention remains fixed on the game, her anticipation growing as she realizes Ryan will be up to bat soon.
“Good, Miles had a case of anxiety that we had to get together,” Kerry informs her, settling into her seat beside Natasha. “Is that y/n?” Kerry spots you only a few feet away.
“In the flesh,” Natasha nods, her attention still partly focused on the game.
“Wow, it’s been a while,” Kerry continues, observing you. “She looks toned.”
“Really? I hadn’t noticed,” Natasha replies nonchalantly, though her tone suggests otherwise.
“I’m sure,” Kerry responds, not sounding entirely convinced by Natasha's casual response. “It’s nice seeing her here. Well, even seeing you two in the same place is a miracle.”
Natasha offers a small smile, sensing Kerry's curiosity lingering beneath the surface. "Yeah, we've been trying some things out," she says casually, subtly hinting at the efforts she and you have been making to reconcile and mend your relationship. Despite her attempt to keep it low-key, there's a hint of pride in her voice, a quiet acknowledgment of the progress you two have been making together.
"Congratulations," Kerry almost beams with pride, her genuine happiness for you shining through. If there was one person on your team rooting for you, it was her.
Natasha enjoys Kerry and Doug’s company as they continue to watch the game. Occasionally, Emma will reach into the popcorn container to pop a few kernels into her mouth, and Natasha leans over for easier access. She could see you out of the corner of her eye, so engrossed in Ryan and his plays on the field. She'd missed this more than she could convey.
But as Ryan makes a good play that has them all cheering, Natasha's attention snaps back to the game. Ryan steps up to the plate, his determination is evident in the set of his shoulders, the pitcher winds up and delivers the ball with all his might. Ryan swings, the crack of the bat echoing across the field as the ball sails through the air.
It's not a perfect hit, but it's a solid one. The ball bounces just beyond the infield, rolling towards the outfield as Ryan takes off running. The fielders scramble to retrieve it, but Ryan's speed is impressive for his age. He rounds first base with determination, his eyes fixed on second as he picks up speed.
The outfielder scoops up the ball and throws it toward second base, but Ryan is already there, sliding into the base with a burst of energy. The umpire's call is clear: safe!
Cheers erupt from the sidelines as Ryan jumps to his feet, a triumphant grin on his face. His eyes scan the bleachers to find you standing directly in front of him. You offer a thumbs up to which he reciprocates. Gosh, you love that kid.
“Which one is yours?” A soft voice interrupts your focus on the game, drawing your attention to the woman beside you. She exudes a soccer mom vibe, with a warm smile and an air of familiarity that instantly puts you at ease. Her features resemble those of Gina Davis—sharp cheekbones framing a heart-shaped face, with expressive hazel eyes that seem to shimmer with genuine interest. Her hair is styled in a casual yet chic bob, framing her face in loose waves that bounce with every movement.
Despite her friendly demeanor, there's something about her proximity to you that sets off a faint alarm in your mind. She stands a little too close for comfort, her body language subtly leaning towards you in a way that feels almost intrusive. It's enough to make Natasha, who's been watching discreetly from a distance, take notice.
You gesture towards Ryan. “The kid with the reddish curly hair who's currently goofing off with Miles”
"Oh, yeah, Ryan, he's pretty good," the woman compliments, her gaze shifting towards him with a nod of approval. “He’s cute. Clearly takes after you.”
“I don’t know about that,” You blush slightly. When she turns her attention back to you, you inquire about her own child. "You?"
"Oh, my son is Teddy over there with the buzz cut," she replies, pointing towards a boy on the field.
“He’s solid,” You nod.
"I'd like to think so," she shrugs casually. "I'm Vera. What's your name?"
"Y/n," you reply, shaking her hand.
"Oh, you're the ex," Vera whistles, her tone carrying a hint of surprise.
“That would be me,” You tip your hat and offer a smile. “Has there been a lot of talk?”
Vera chuckles lightly, a knowing glint in her eye. "Oh, you know how it is," she replies vaguely, her tone suggesting that she's privy to some of the gossip but doesn't feel the need to delve into details.
"Unfortunately I do," you say with a rueful smile, acknowledging the sometimes intrusive nature of parents nearby.
Vera, ever the conversationalist, leans in a bit closer, a curious glint in her eyes. "So, how have you been holding up?" she asks, her tone filled with genuine interest as she tries to strike up a conversation. “Divorce can’t be easy. Trust me I’d know.”
You offer a small, appreciative nod, grateful for Vera's attempt to connect. "It's been... challenging," you admit, your voice softening with a hint of vulnerability. "But I'm taking it one day at a time." Despite the difficulties, you find solace in the genuine concern of those around you, including Vera's compassionate gesture.
“Well, if you ever need a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen,” Vera offers, extending a comforting gesture.
“She won’t,” Natasha interrupts, her voice firm and protective, asserting her presence in the conversation.
Vera's expression falters momentarily at Natasha's interruption, her offer of support met with an unexpected rebuttal. She glances between you and Natasha, sensing an underlying tension in the exchange.
Undeterred, Vera quickly recovers with a gentle smile. "Of course," she replies diplomatically. “Well, nice meeting you.” Vera excuses herself to go sit on the other side of the bleachers.
“You sure scared her,” You chuckled, breaking the tension with a light-hearted comment.
“Wasn’t my intention,” Natasha smirks, her expression softening as she meets your gaze. “He’s so happy you’re here,” she adds, tilting her chin towards Ryan, who keeps glancing over to you, almost as if to check that you’re still here. There's a fondness in Natasha's voice as she observes Ryan's behavior, a silent acknowledgment of the bond between mother and child.
“I’m happy to be here,” You wrap your arm around her waist to pull her closer to you. “We can throw some balls before bed and talk. How’s he been doing? With his anger and everything?”
Natasha leans into your embrace, appreciating the comfort of your touch. "He's been better," she admits. "We've been working on it, but it's been a struggle. He's still adjusting, I think."
There's a hint of vulnerability in her tone as she opens up about the challenges of parenting. Ryan especially in the past months has regressed and resorted to anger in the form of violence, mostly toward Natasha. She had reluctantly admitted this after you caught the tail end of her scolding when he’d thrown a video game remote at her head. You offer her a reassuring squeeze, silently conveying your support.
“I feel guilty,” You admit. “I know this isn’t the place for us to get into it but… I do.” You take a deep breath. “I’ve left you all in the dark about everything. It hasn’t been fair to them.”
Natasha listens quietly, her expression softening as she hears your admission. She reaches out to gently cup your cheek, offering a reassuring touch. "I understand," she says softly, her voice laced with empathy. "It's been tough for all of us." She doesn't excuse your actions, but she also doesn't want to make you feel guiltier.
It’s Ryan’s turn again. Time to pay attention.
*******************
Chuck E Cheese’s was a great place to go after a baseball game, especially for kids like Ryan and Emma who were bursting with energy after spending hours on the field. As you walked through the doors, the lively sounds of arcade games and children's laughter filled the air, causing you to instantly become overstimulated.
Ryan's eyes widened with excitement as he caught sight of the colorful carousel and the flashing lights of the arcade games. Emma's face lit up as she spotted the towering play structure, complete with slides, tunnels, and ball pits.
You led the way to a table, the scent of freshly baked pizza wafting through the air and making your stomach growl in anticipation. The kids eagerly clamored around the table, their chatter filling the space as they debated which games to play first and which prizes to aim for.
As the kids dashed off to explore the arcade, you and Natasha settled into a booth, enjoying a moment of relative calm amidst the bustling atmosphere of Chuck E Cheese’s. You'd paid for 100 coins each, not much all things considered, but worth it for a fun time on a school night.
Sitting across from Natasha, you appreciated the chance to have a conversation without interruptions, even if it was just for a little while. The occasional shriek or burst of laughter from the arcade area served as background noise, a reminder of the chaos surrounding you.
“So, have you given any thought to the couple’s assignment thing?” You asked, breaking the brief lull in conversation. “Something for us to do together that doesn’t involve a bedroom.”
Natasha leaned back against the booth, her gaze thoughtful as she considered your question. "I have," she replied, a faint smile playing at the corners of her lips. "I was thinking maybe we could try cooking together. We used to enjoy trying out new recipes, remember?"
The memory brought warmth to your heart, a reminder of simpler times when it was just the two of you, experimenting in the kitchen and sharing meals. "That sounds perfect," you agree, returning her smile. "It'll be nice to spend some quality time together."
It was a date.
"I remember those times in the kitchen," You began, your voice soft with emotion. "They were some of the best moments we shared."
“That kitchen has seen a lot,” Natasha nods, grabbing a slice of pizza to bite into.
“It has certainly seen better days,” You agree. “I’m really glad you didn’t sell the house.”
Natasha's expression softens at your words. "Me too," she murmurs, setting down her slice of pizza to give you her full attention. "It wouldn't have felt right, you know? Selling the house felt like giving up on everything we built together."
You nod in agreement, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "Yeah, I know what you mean. Despite all the challenges we've faced, this place still feels like home."
"It always will," Natasha replies, her voice filled with conviction. “There’s something else on the assignment list that would be cool. Do you want to discuss it now?”
“Here?” You look around.
“Sure, why not,” Natasha shrugs. “It’s a simple question. What is something you’re glad you’ll never have to do again?”
“Hmm, probably childbirth,” You answer honestly. You wipe your mouth with the corner of a napkin before setting it aside.
Natasha's brows furrow slightly in confusion at your response. "Childbirth? Really?" she asks, her tone laced with curiosity. "I mean, I know it's not a walk in the park, but I thought you handled it like a champ. You never really talked about it being that bad."
You hesitate for a moment, your gaze drifting away from Natasha's as you search for the right words. "Yeah, well, I guess I just... tried to focus on the positive aspects," you reply vaguely, a faint hint of discomfort creeping into your voice. "But, um, the aftermath wasn't exactly a walk in the park either."
Natasha's expression softens with concern as she picks up on your hesitation. "What do you mean?" she prompts gently, reaching across the table to place her hand over yours. "Is everything okay?"
You take a deep breath, feeling a weight lift off your shoulders as you prepare to share something you've kept buried for far too long. "I... I think I had postpartum depression," you admit your voice barely above a whisper. "It's just... something I never really talked about."
Natasha's eyes widen slightly in surprise, her hand squeezing yours reassuringly. "I had no idea," she murmurs, her voice filled with empathy.
“Yeah, I hid it well I guess,” You frown. “You were away on a mission when it got really bad. I had to take Ryan to the compound. I left him there for a few days. He just wouldn’t stop crying and I just needed time and…”
Natasha's expression softens further as she listens, her heart breaking at the thought of you struggling alone with Ryan. "I'm so sorry," she says, her voice filled with genuine remorse. "I wish I had been there for you."
You shake your head, offering her a small, reassuring smile. "It's not your fault," you reply, your voice tinged with sadness. "I didn't want to burden you with it, especially when you were away on a mission. I thought I could handle it on my own."
"You never have to handle things alone, y/n," she says softly, her eyes locked on yours.
“Somehow I keep forgetting that,” You shrug.
Natasha doesn’t want to ask the next question. She’s almost afraid of the answer you’re going to give. “So what were the positives for you? In therapy, you mentioned that things got rougher when we had kids. I understand PPD can exacerbate that.”
You pause, contemplating Natasha's question for a moment before answering. "Honestly," you begin, your voice low and hesitant, "for a long time, I couldn't see any positives. It felt like everything was just... too much. The sleepless nights, the constant crying, the feeling of being overwhelmed... I couldn't see past it."
Natasha's hand finds yours across the table, offering silent support as you continue. "But... therapy helped," you admit, a flicker of hope in your eyes. "Talking about it, understanding it... It helped me realize that there were moments of joy.  Like... the first time Ryan smiled, or when Emma said her first word. Little things that reminded me why I wanted to be a parent in the first place."
You glance up at Natasha, searching her eyes for understanding. "It's still hard," you confess, your voice raw with emotion. "But I'm learning to find the positives, even on the toughest days."
“Thank you for telling me this,” Natasha says.
“I would have preferred us to talk about it over dinner but I guess Chuck E. Cheese’s was as good as any,” You try to lighten the mood. “Honestly, I didn’t think you would take this information so lightly. I know you have this view of pregnancy and everything and back then I didn’t want to change that for you.”
Natasha listens intently, her expression softening as you speak. "I'm sorry," she says sincerely."I never realized you were going through all of that alone. I wish you had felt comfortable talking to me about it."
You give her a small smile, appreciating her understanding. "It's okay," you reassure her. "I didn't even fully understand it myself at the time. But I'm glad we're talking about it now."
Natasha nods, her eyes reflecting a mixture of regret and gratitude. "Me too," she agrees softly.
“But you never answered the question yourself,” You pointed out. Natasha raises a brow. “What’s something you’re glad you never have to do again?”
Natasha's expression turns thoughtful as she considers your question. After a moment of contemplation, she speaks, her voice tinged with a hint of vulnerability. "I think," she begins slowly, "I'm glad we never have to go back to feeling distant from each other. Those times when we were both struggling individually and couldn't find our way back to each other... I'm glad that's behind us now. I never want to feel that kind of disconnection again."
You nod in understanding, feeling a sense of relief at her honesty. "Me neither," you admit. "I think we've both learned a lot from those moments, and we're stronger because of it."
Natasha smiles softly, her eyes meeting yours with warmth. "Absolutely," she agrees.
This time you truly believed it.

As you wake up, you find yourself in the comfortable embrace of Hugh's muscular arms. He holds you close, his touch a mix of possessive warmth and tender affection. "Good morning," he murmurs into your ear, his voice gruff and slightly raspy from sleep. He nuzzles his face into the crook of your neck, planting a soft kiss near your pulse point.
“You think we could be a little late?”
Hugh, sensing the tension in your tone, chuckles softly, his voice filled with a hint of playfulness. "Late, huh?" He muses, his arms still wrapped around you, his chest vibrating against your back. He plants a playful kiss on your shoulder before speaking again, his words tinged with a hint of wickedness. "Thinking about delaying the inevitable, are we?"
You melt into him, “I’m just saying, you’re warm, and I’m so fucking horny.” A satisfied hum vibrated through Hugh's chest as you melted into his embrace, his arms holding you even tighter. He relished the feeling of your body against his, his words laced with a mixture of satisfaction and affection. "I do have that effect on you, don't I?" he teased, his voice a deep rumble against your skin.
You leaned into Hugh with a sultry whisper, your lips gently brushing against his. "You deeply have that effect on me, Hugh," you confessed, your voice soft and velvety. The brush of your lips against his ignited a spark of desire, the electricity between you crackling with anticipation.
Hugh's eyes darkened with a flicker of hunger as he felt the slight brush of your lips against his. A low growl rumbled at the back of his throat, his grip on you tightening ever so slightly. The atmosphere was charged with a sensual tension, the unspoken promises of pleasure hanging heavy in the air.
Ryan's voice, loud and boisterous, pierced through the intimate moment, shattering the bubble of desire that had enveloped you. His words were clear and unmistakable, his mockery and admonishment reaching through the thin walls. "I'm not coming in! But just let you know, these walls are thin! You animals better get ready!" His laughter echoed through the hallway as his footsteps faded.
Hugh chuckled lowly, his chest rumbling with the shared frustration of the interrupted moment. You buried your face into the solid plane of his chest, groaning into the warm, bare flesh. His fingers traced small, soothing circles on your back, a silent comfort in the face of the inevitable interruption.
Hugh, his voice rich and deep, shouted back to Ryan, his words booming through the house. "We're coming, mate!" His tone was laced with a mixture of resignation and the hint of a challenge. He turned his attention back to you for a moment, his lips curving into a small, reassuring smile.
Ryan's voice, filled with playful banter, cut through the air, his words carrying a hint of jest. "Oh God, not now! Save that for later!" He chuckled at his own remark, unable to resist the opportunity to add a touch of humor to the situation.
You shook your head in amused disbelief, muttering under your breath, "And he's the older one." You couldn't help but roll your eyes at your brother's childish antics. Despite the years between you both, his behavior often left you wondering if age truly meant maturity in his case.
Hugh stood behind you, his gaze lingering on your reflection in the mirror. His eyes roamed over your body appreciatively, taking in the simple yet elegant outfit you were wearing. With a soft, reverent whisper, he murmured into your ear, "So beautiful." The warmth of his breath against your skin sent a shiver down your spine, and his lips grazed your neck as he continued to admire you. "Truly a representation of the word itself," he mused, his voice thick with sincere admiration.
There was something about Hugh's words and the way he looked at you that made you feel seen and appreciated on a deeper level. As he stood behind you, admiring your reflection in the mirror, the sincerity in his voice and the raw tenderness in his eyes left no doubt in your mind that he truly found you beautiful. It wasn’t just his words that spoke of your beauty, but the way he touched you, the way he held you, and the way he treated you that reinforced the sentiment time and time again.
Ryan, ever the instigator, couldn't resist cracking another joke as you all got into the car. With a teasing smirk, he looked at Hugh and then at you before quipping, "So the rumors are true. It's bigger on a full moon." His comment was meant to poke fun at Hugh, but there was also a mischievous twinkle in his eye, as if he enjoyed stirring the pot.
You couldn't help but roll your eyes and playfully smack Ryan's shoulder in response to his cheeky comment. "Shut up, Ryan," you muttered through gritted teeth, your cheeks flushing slightly with embarrassment. Despite your stern tone, you knew Ryan was just trying to get a rise out of you and Hugh.
You couldn't contain your excitement as you were mic'd up for the upcoming interview. As the realization sank in that it was the highly anticipated Buzzfeed Puppy interview, a surge of enthusiasm coursed through you. You were practically bouncing on the spot, your anticipation reaching a fever pitch.
Hugh chuckled, his eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. He raised an eyebrow at your warning, the corner of his mouth curling into a smirk. "Well, I wouldn't be surprised if you bring one home," he said, his voice thick with a mixture of affection and playful banter. "Those adorable little pups have a way of stealing your heart, don't they?"
You turned to Hugh, a sassy smirk playing on your lips. Looking him directly in the eye, you declared, "I've got a thing for dogs." A flirty wink followed your statement, a playful glint in your eyes. Hugh chuckled huskily and leaned into your ear, his warm breath sending a shiver down your spine. His voice was a low, seductive growl as he murmured, "I'll show you what a real animal can do." The innuendo in his words was clear, his cocky smirk revealing his confidence and desire for you. The promise in his tone was undeniable, hinting at the raw passion that lay beneath the surface.
Ryan’s exasperated voice rang out, interrupting the intimate moment between you and Hugh. His words were a mix of disbelief and impatience. “Oh my god, again?” He rolled his eyes exaggeratedly, his frustration clear. “We’re ready,” he continued, his voice hinting at the urgency to start the interview. “Come on already!”
You find yourself sitting on the floor, Hugh and Ryan on either side of you. The large puppy backdrop, filled with a variety of adorable pups, looms behind the camera. You’re nestled between your handsome boyfriend and older brother, creating a picturesque yet somewhat chaotic scene. The anticipation and excitement in the air are palpable, as you all prepare to embark on this unique and positively entertaining interview.
The cameras begin to roll, and Ryan kicks off the interview with a casual greeting. "Hello," he begins, but his words are followed by a slight confusion in your expression. You exchange a glance with him, silently expressing your surprise. "No one's prepared us for this intro," you respond, your voice filled with uncertainty. The realization that the interview is underway takes a moment to sink in, but you quickly steel yourself for the unexpected questions to come.
You pause, your voice trailing off as you try to make sense of the situation. "Do we just..." you ask, leaving the sentence hanging in the air. It's clear that you're unsure how to proceed, caught off guard by the lack of preparation. The cameras continue recording, capturing your momentary confusion and the uncertain glances exchanged between you and Ryan.
Hugh, realizing your slight unease, chuckles softly and soothingly grips your shoulders. His voice is calm and reassuring as he reassures you, "Settle down. The puppies are coming soon." The subtle reminder puts you more at ease, and you catch a glimpse of the mischievous sparkle in his eyes.
You can't help but laugh in response to Hugh's words, the tension easing from your shoulders. You lean into him, resting your weight against his sturdy frame. A soft smile forms on your face as you soak in the comfort of his presence, the puppies momentarily forgotten.
The interview begins with Ryan introducing himself and Hugh, creating a lighthearted and informal atmosphere. "Hello, I'm Hugh Jackman," Hugh says, his charismatic charm on full display. Ryan follows suit, adding his own introduction. "He is, Hugh Jackman," he says, before continuing, "and I'm Ryan Reynolds." The banter between the two actors is relaxed, setting the stage for a fun and engaging conversation.
The camera captures your radiant smile as you introduce yourself, a hint of playful rivalry in your voice. "And I’m (y/n) Reynolds," you say, your words punctuated with a cheeky grin. "The better of the two," you add, your words spoken with a mix of confidence and humor. Your declaration draws laughs from Hugh and Ryan, adding a touch of sibling banter to the interview.
Hugh grins at your praise, his eyes sparkling with a mixture of pride and affection. "I’m also known as a dog whisperer," he confirms, his voice thick with confidence. "A very talented one too," you chime in, your smile widening as you cast an admiring glance in his direction.
Ryan picks up the thread of the conversation, his voice tinged with playfulness. "And this is Buzzfeed," he states, with a hint of mock formality. "The premier destination for puppies." He glances at you and Hugh, his smirk growing. His use of the word "premiere" implies a sense of exaggerated importance, but his genuine affection for puppies is clear beneath the banter.
“And we are here to “ Ryan cuts you off in with his humorous suggestion. "Harvest," he suggests, his voice filled with a hint of faux malevolence. You shake your head in response, unable to hold back a chuckle at his absurdity. "No, what?" you ask, your tone a mix of bemusement and surprise.
The room fills with laughter as you clarify the purpose of your visit. "No! We’re here to play with puppies!" you correct, the joyous excitement in your voice mirroring the enthusiasm you feel about the canine guests.
A wave of fluffy, adorable energy engulfs the room as the Buzzfeed crew releases ten wriggling puppies onto the stage. Their tiny paws patter against the floor, and their tails wagging excitedly as they spot you, Hugh, and Ryan, their new playmates. The puppies come bounding towards you, their tiny bodies filled with the unmistakable joy and exuberance of young canines.
A squeal of delight escapes your lips as you scoop up one of the puppies, cuddling it close to your chest. "Oh my gosh!!" you exclaim, your voice filled with the sheer overwhelming cuteness of the little creature in your arms. The puppy nuzzles into your embrace, its soft fur tickling your skin. "They’re so cute!" you continue, unable to contain the joy that the puppies bring. Your eyes are wide and sparkling with enchantment as you relish in the sheer adorableness of the moment.
The room falls quiet as the questions begin, the interviewer's voice cutting through the air. "What's your favorite Easter egg in Deadpool and Wolverine?" There's a hint of playful expectation in the question, as it seeks to delve into the intricacies and hidden gems within the upcoming film.
Hugh begins to speak, his voice slightly amused as he acknowledges the abundance of Easter Eggs in the film. "There's so many, I don’t understand half of them," he admits with a chuckle. You can't help but let out a soft chuckle of your own, reaching out to pat his chest affectionately. "Aw, my old man," you quip, your voice filled with a mixture of affection and playful teasing.
Hugh responds with a mock indignation, "Hey!" playfully feigning offense at your comment.
Ryan chimes in with an eager response, his knowledge of the film on display. "Oh! But one is in the car when we’re fighting, Espresso can be heard playing for a couple of seconds."
You nod in agreement with Ryan, echoing his words with a touch of humor. "Yeah baby, promotion, promotion, promotion," you repeat, your tone laced with playful excitement.
The interviewer's question prompts a moment of reflection as you all consider your favorite behind-the-scenes memories. Ryan, ever the jokester, is the first to speak up. "My favorite behind-the-scenes memory with Hugh Jackman was him in the yellow suit for the first time on set. He has the greatest ass."
Hugh laughs at Ryan's response, shaking his head slightly. He then glances at you, his expression turning more serious. "My favorite behind-the-scenes memory with you is every time you come to set."
As Hugh's comment settles in the air, a faint blush appears on your cheeks, a mix of surprise and pleasure at his candid declaration. Before you can respond, a puppy suddenly leaps up and kisses your face instead of Hugh's cheek, causing you to lose your balance and fall over.
You burst into giggles, the sudden interruption courtesy of the exuberant pup adding a touch of unexpected humor to the moment.
You chime in once you regain your composure, sharing your favorite behind-the-scenes memory. "I have to say my favorite behind-the-scenes moment was getting to learn how to fight on screen," you begin, your voice tinged with excitement. "I dance all the time, it was nice to kick something for a change."
As you speak, a hint of determination and satisfaction glimmers in your eyes, reflecting the thrill you derived from the experience.
“Have you ever caught someone on a plane watching one of your projects?”
Hugh and Ryan both exchange a look, their expressions suggesting they’ve been there before. Hugh speaks first, “Oh, absolutely.”
Ryan chimes in, a smirk on his face as he chimes in with an anecdote about Hugh's past antics. "Yeah, I've seen Hugh go up and down the aisle and demand people watch them," Ryan says, his tone filled with amusement.
Hugh chuckles, his expression a mix of mild embarrassment and good-natured humility. "Hey, I have a reputation to maintain," he jokingly defends himself.
You chuckle softly, reflecting on your own experience as an actress. "I mean, this is my only other acting role," you say, a hint of modesty in your tone, "but it's kinda along the same line as when I hear someone listening to my album, and I just move along and hope it's not an old one."
Your words touch on the shared experience of artists, both in films and music, who often feel a mix of curiosity and vulnerability when encountering a fan engaging with their work, particularly during more intimate moments.
“Hugh, what’s it like playing Wolverine again after 2017’s Logan film?”
The question is directed towards Hugh Jackman, who takes a moment to reflect before responding. "I have to say I’ve had more fun playing Wolverine in this film than I ever have.” Hugh gestured to Ryan, “playing alongside this guy, making me laugh everyday.” Hugh rubs your arm, “and being around her everyday was a blessing. on and off screen.”
Hugh responds to the question with a warm smile. "I have to say I had more fun playing Wolverine in this film than I ever have," he begins, his voice filled with genuine enthusiasm.
Hugh gestures towards Ryan, "Playing alongside this guy," he says, a hint of humor in his tone, "making me laugh everyday." Hugh gives your arm a affectionate affectionate rub. "And being around her everyday," he adds, his gaze shifting to you, "was a blessing. On and off screen."
“Talking about on screen, what’s your favorite on screen moment?”
Hugh's eyes light up with enthusiasm as he thinks about his favorite on-screen moments. "My favorite on-screen moment? There are so many," he admits with a grin. "But I'd have to say it's when Deadpool and Wolverine have their first fight in the film. It's just non-stop action and comedy, and it sets the stage for the rest of the movie."
“I personally like the little moments Sabrina and Logan have.“ Hugh smiles, clearly fond of those intimate moments. "Oh, those little moments between Sabrina and Logan," he says, his tone warmer. "They're some of my favorites too. It's all about the chemistry, you know? The subtle glances, the underlying understanding... it adds so much depth to the characters and where they could go."
Ryan chimes in, his smirk widening. "Wolverines love story coming to theaters near you," he jokes, his tone full of humor and mischief. The cameras capture his playful comment, adding a lighthearted moment to the interview.
The interview comes to a close, the puppies having added an extra dose of adorableness to the conversation. Finishing the interview, you turn to the camera with a smile. “Deadpool and Wolverine is in theaters now, so go see it,” you announce with excitement, encouraging viewers to experience the movie firsthand.
After wrapping up the interview, you take a few moments to shower the puppies with one final dose of love and affection before reluctantly saying your farewells. With the joy and energy of the pups still swirling within you, you make your way back to your room, your mind still buzzing with excitement from the delightful encounter.
As you stepped into the dimly lit hotel room, the scent of fresh linen and the soft glow of the evening sun welcomed you.
You knew Hugh had been longing for you all day, his desire evident in the way his eyes followed your every move. And now, finally, you were alone together, ready to indulge in the passion that had been simmering between you.
You turned to face him, your eyes locking with his intense gaze. Hugh's face lit up with a mixture of hunger and adoration. He took a step towards you, his tall, broad frame filling the space around you, making you feel delicate yet desired.
"I've been waiting for this moment all day," he whispered, his deep voice sending shivers down your spine. His hands gently cupped your face, his thumbs brushing against your cheeks, leaving a trail of electricity on your skin. "I need you, more than you know."
His words sent a rush of warmth between your thighs, and you could feel your pulse quicken. You wanted him too, craved the touch of his experienced hands on your body. Without saying a word, you leaned in, your lips brushing against his in a soft, tentative kiss. Hugh responded eagerly, his lips parting to deepen the kiss, his tongue seeking entry into your mouth. The taste of him was intoxicating, and you moaned softly as he explored your mouth with a desperate hunger.
Breaking the kiss, Hugh trailed his lips down your jawline, leaving a path of wet kisses that made you squirm with anticipation. His hands roamed over your body, mapping every curve as if he was claiming you as his own. He unbuttoned your blouse slowly, his fingers deftly working the fabric, revealing your lace-covered breasts.
With a gentle tug, he freed your sensitive nipples from their confines, causing you to gasp at the sudden exposure. "You're beautiful," he murmured against your skin, his warm breath causing your nipples to pebble. His lips closed around one taut peak, sucking gently, while his skilled fingers teased the other, rolling and pinching it lightly.
The sensations were overwhelming, sending waves of pleasure through your body. You arched into his touch, encouraging him to take more, to claim every inch of you.
Hugh's hands traveled lower, unzipping your skirt with practiced ease. The garment fell to the floor, pooling at your feet, leaving you clad only in your lingerie. His eyes darkened with desire as he took in the sight of your naked curves. He pushed you gently onto the nearby couch, following you down, his body covering yours possessively.
"I want to taste you," he growled, his voice hoarse with need. His hands slid beneath your lace panties, his fingers delving into your wetness. He stroked you slowly, his touch firm yet gentle, eliciting moans of pleasure from your lips. "So wet for me already."
You were indeed soaked, your arousal pooling between your thighs, a testament to the effect he had on you. As he teased your clit with his thumb, you bucked against his hand, seeking more friction, desperate for release. Hugh's skilled fingers worked their magic, bringing you closer and closer to the edge.
"Please, Hugh," you pleaded, your voice breathless. "I need more." He obliged, sliding down your body, his breath hot against your sensitive skin. With a gentle nudge, he pushed your thighs apart, revealing your glistening pussy to his hungry gaze. He wasted no time, lowering his head and replacing his fingers with his tongue. The first swipe of his tongue against your clit sent sparks of pleasure through your body.
Hugh was a master with his tongue, licking and sucking with just the right amount of pressure. He explored every fold and crevice, his tongue delving deep into your wetness, tasting your essence. You threaded your fingers through his hair, holding him close, encouraging him to continue his sweet torture.
"Oh, yes, right there," you moaned, as he found that sweet spot that sent bolts of pleasure straight to your core. He hummed in response, the vibrations sending you spiraling towards ecstasy. Your hips bucked uncontrollably as he continued to lap at your sensitive flesh, his hands holding your thighs apart, ensuring he had full access to your quivering pussy.
Just when you thought you couldn't take any more, Hugh inserted a finger into your tight hole, curling it upwards to find that hidden spot that would send you over the edge. You cried out, your body convulsing as the orgasm ripped through you. Wave after wave of pleasure washed over you, leaving you trembling and sated.
Hugh slowly withdrew his finger and brought it to his lips, sucking your essence off with a satisfied smile. He kissed his way up your body, pausing to pay homage to your breasts once more before claiming your lips in a passionate kiss.
"I've only just begun to show you how much I need you," he whispered against your mouth. His erection, straining against his pants, pressed against your thigh, a tangible proof of his desire.
You reached down, your hand wrapping around his hard length through the fabric. "I want you, Hugh," you whispered back, your voice thick with want. "I want to feel you inside me."
With a growl, he stood, quickly shedding his clothes, revealing his muscular body and the impressive erection that had been straining for release. He returned to the couch, positioning himself between your thighs, his cock nudging at your entrance.
"Tell me you want this," he said, his voice thick with need. "I want you, Hugh," you repeated, your hands reaching up to pull him down for a kiss. "I want all of you."
He thrust forward, filling you in one smooth motion. You gasped at the sensation of being stretched around his thick shaft. Hugh's hands gripped your hips, holding you steady as he began to move, his thrusts slow and deliberate. Each withdrawal and penetration sent sparks of pleasure through your sensitive body, still humming from your previous orgasm.
"You feel so good," he groaned, his eyes rolling back slightly as he savored the sensation. "So tight around me."
You matched his rhythm, meeting his thrusts with your own, your hands running down his back, feeling the ridges of his muscles as he moved. The couch creaked beneath you, adding a rhythmic accompaniment to the primal sounds of flesh slapping against flesh.
Hugh's pace quickened, his breath coming in short gasps as he neared his peak. He leaned down, capturing a nipple between his lips, biting gently as he thrust harder, faster, driving you both towards the brink.
"Cum with me," he grunted, his voice strained. "Cum on my cock, baby." His words were all it took to send you over the edge once more. Your pussy clenched around him, milking his shaft as you rode the waves of pleasure. Hugh followed suit, his body tensing as he emptied himself deep within you, his throaty cries filling the room.
As your heart rates slowed and your breathing returned to normal, Hugh collapsed onto the couch beside you, pulling you close, his arms a welcome haven. You snuggled into his embrace, feeling the warmth of his body against yours, and the wetness between your thighs, a reminder of the passionate lovemaking.

The sun had not yet begun to rise, casting a soft, dusky light over the rugged mountain peaks, but Carter was already awake and preparing for the day ahead. The scent of coffee mingled with the aroma of sizzling bacon wafted through the air as the bunkhouse came to life. The morning air was filled with a quiet anticipation, and conversations were just starting to bubble up among the occupants. Carter moved through the small, cluttered space, collecting his thoughts and his breakfast. He glanced at his bunkmates with a hint of amusement. Teeter was playfully flirting with Colby, herthick accent ringing out like a bright chime, while Colby, his cheeks flushed with joy, grinned from ear to ear, clearly enjoying the attention. In another corner, Lloyd and Ryan were engaged in their usual banter, teasing Jake mercilessly as they sipped their steaming cups of coffee. Carter couldn’t help but chuckle at their antics, feeling a warmth in his chest as camaraderie filled the room.
The atmosphere shifted slightly as Rip made his entrance, his presence commanding immediate attention. A hush fell over the bunkhouse as everyone turned to see what was planned for the day. He moved purposefully, and when he reached Carter, he offered a reassuring pat on the shoulder. It was a simple gesture, yet it spoke volumes about their relationship. Carter met Rip’s gaze with a grateful smile, in many ways, Rip had become more of a father to Carter than his biological dad ever was. With every shared moment and every word, Rip had given Carter a sense of belonging and support that he had longed for. As the day began to unfold, Carter felt a deep sense of gratitude for this second chance ata life.
“Alright, well be having people coming in today I need bout, four stalls cleaned and set up,” he spoke up his gaze shifting to Carter as he said the last part. “We have family coming in needles to say, some of y'all know 'em and some of ya will just be meeting them. They're guest of Mr. Dutton treat them with respect.” he finished off the team nodding.
Carter cast a wary glance around, trying to gauge who was approaching. Rip had just wrapped up giving orders, and one by one, the others began to disperse, their footsteps echoing against the ground. With a sense of purpose, Carter moved to the stable, quickly getting to work on saddling the horses. As he tightened the girth and adjusted the stirrups, the distant rumble of a truck engine broke the stillness, its sound growing louder as it drew nearer. Finally seeing the truck it wasn't just one but two, two GMCs pulling horse trailers, one black, the other white. He let out a low whistle at the nice trucks. His eyes wandered curiously his gaze being shaped away hearing Rip yell at him.
“Boy! I need them stalled cleaned, get on it!” Rip hollered getting off his horse.
Without a moment's hesitation, Carter made his way directly to the stalls. The air was thick with the earthy scent of hay and the faint sound of rustling hooves. He rolled up his sleeves, he began to clear away the old bedding, gathering clumps of straw and manure into a wheelbarrow. The warmth of the sunlight filtering through the open barn door cast a golden hue on the wooden beams as he meticulously cleaned each stall, ensuring that everything was fresh and tidy for the animals that would stay in them. He heard the unfamiliar voices of people talking, the sound of hoves entering the barn getting louder before he stepped out of the stall. He Came face to face with a teenage boy his age, an older guy and Rip, bringing in three horses.
“This is Carter, he's mine,” Rip spoke half introducing him.
“Hello.” Carter smiled at the two.
“Hey! I'm Micheal, you can call me Mikey.” the younger boy introduced himself shaking Carter's hand. Mikey was pretty tall bout six feet like himself, he was black, his hair short clean fade on the sides but a hat backward on his head covering the small pit of hair he had on top. He seemed to be pretty strong a tone build not too skinny but a bit smaller than Carter. He wore a black tee shirt with a logo that Said ‘Maverick ranches’ inside a star, and some washed-out wranglers and boots.
“I am Elijah Maverick, his father. Thank you for cleaning up for us we got two other horses to bring in.” he smiled shaking the boy's hand. Now that was a big Man. He easily made Carter nervous though he was nothing but kind and even smiled at him, He was taller than his son and Rip maybe bout six-three, a dad-built with huge shoulders and arms he was muscular, to say the least. The Tan button-up shirt his sleeves rolled up with a different logo that Said Maverick Ranch kind of reminded him of the top gun logo but kinda different, but it was black showing the tattoo sleeves on his arms.
“Its a pleasure to meet you guys, do you need help with the other horses.” Carter asked wanting to be helpful.
Elijah let out a small chuckle at his eggness “No its alright, My daughter and her friend are out on them helping your cowboys for fun.” he spoke shaking his head.
He had a daughter? He thought meeting Mikeys eyes he asked “She older?”
Mikey scoffed “ She’ll tell you she is but only by like— seven minutes.” he rolled his eyes.
“Shes your twin? Wow that's cool.” Carter grinned.
“You could say” Mikey smiled, “you ride man?”
Carter nodded “Nice maybe you could show us around a bit haven't been here since we were kids.” Mikey explained.
“Sure id love too, but I don't get off till later this evening.” Carter shrugged.
“Hey no worries! We got some work to do, my sister in ropeing this summer so we got errans to run.”
She Ropes! The phrase hinted that she might rodeo a bit. The conversation between the three faded, and they stepped outside, with Carter trailing closely behind. He strolled toward the fence, where he could see them skillfully herding the cattle. His attention was immediately captured by an impressive all-black gelding, which glided smoothly across the landscape. Sitting atop the horse was a dark toned girl whose long, mixed-color braids of different browns and blonds were woven into a single, thick braid thatmoved as she maneuvered with practiced ease. She commanded the horse effortlessly, guiding the cattle with precision. She wore of a snug pink t-shirt with a Maverick Ranch logothe shirt highlighted her curved frame, paired with light-washed boot-cut True Religion jeans that hugged her legs comfortably. A pair of boots on her feet, complementing the rugged ensemble. Cinched around her waist was a stylish belt, adorned with a gleaming buckle—perhaps a trophy from a recent victory.
As Carter's gaze shifted to her face, he couldn’t help but notice how striking she was. A wide, radiant smile lit up her features, radiating confidence as she worked the herd. Her youthful appearance was enhanced by several piercings; both nostrils and ears displayed shimmering gold jewelry that suggested a sense of maturity. On her head was a light tan felt hat, which she adjusted with a quick flick of her hand as she turned to listen for her name being called in the distance.
“Well shit miss. Mav you can cowboy better than Jake here!” Lloyd complimented the young girl.
Her laughter bubbled up, bright and infectious, and it brought a small, genuine smile to Carter's face.
“Crystal, mere!” he heard a deep voice say next to him.
She quickly made her way over the fence, “Hi daddy!”
“Hi baby, wanna intriduce you to Carter, take it you met some of Rips new boys.”
She hummed nodding her head “But this is Carter, he Beth and Rips kid.” he spoke.
Carter watch as she raided a brow “They took me in.” he spoke up clearing her confusion.
“Ohhh- that makes a bit more since, Nice to meet you Carter! I'm Crystal, how old are you?” she asked quickly.
“Im 16 turn 17 in july.” he said.
“Nice! Bit older than Tate.” she spoke.
Her head looked over her shoulder again “Sorry I started helping them wanna finish up before I come out! But again it's nice to meet you good to know there are kids our age here so I wo t be stuck with those old farts.” she giggled motioning towards Lloyd and Jake.
He nodded “No worries I get it I gotta get back to work myself, nice to meet you Ma'am.”
She flashed him a radiant smile one final time before returning to her work, a gesture so warm and genuine that it felt contagious. Carter couldn’t help but feel the corners of his mouth tug upwards into a grin. The brightness of her expression seemed to light up the room, and perhaps it was a tad too apparent, as he caught Lloyd’s gaze across the space. Lloyd was watching him with a knowing chuckle, the corners of his lips twitching in amusement at Carter's unintentional display of infatuation.
“Don't let that sweet smile fool you, kid; she's quite the handful,” Elijah chuckled, a glimmer of mischief dancing in his eyes as he warned the young boy. His heart swelled with love for his daughter, a whirlwind of energy who had a delightful knack for turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. With her vibrant personality, she commanded attention wherever she went—her laughter rang out like a cheerful melody, and her outgoing nature was unmistakable.
Though her smile was disarmingly charming, Elijah knew that beneath that veneer lay a fierce spirit capable of surprising even the hardiest of souls. Her words often spilled forth without hesitation, and it was her fearless confidence that sometimes left adults taken aback. She could rope and ride with an expertise that rivaled seasoned cowboys, effortlessly outshining those who had spent years honing their craft. Every time she mounted her horse, it was as if the wild spirit of the West surged through her veins, and Elijah couldn’t help but beam with pride at the audacity and joy with which she embraced life.
“Common miss. Mav shows em whatcha got.” Walker spoke.
Carter's mind drifted as he pondered the unusual nickname, "Miss Mav." The curious title echoed in his thoughts, leaving him with a sense of intrigue. He couldn't help but wonder about its origin and what it revealed about her character. Yet, he decided to put that question aside for now, focusing instead on the moment at hand.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow across the landscape, the day began to draw to a close. The Mavericks had ventured out for a while, promising to return later, leaving behind a lively atmosphere in the bunkhouse. Inside, the boys gathered, their laughter echoing off the wooden walls as they shared stories and teased one another. Teeter, seemed particularly taken with Crystal, affectionately referring to her as “my girl.” The friendly ribbing continued as they playfully jabbed at Jake, tasing that the young girl had outdone him in their cowboy activities that day.
Carter still curios he was still a bit out of the loop regarding the Mavericks. When he inquired about them, Lloyd took the opportunity to share tales of their impressive ranch located up in Oregon, not quite as expansive as Yellowstone, but substantial nonetheless. He painted a vivid picture of the Tillamook area, where the Mavericks cultivated a diverse array of animals—goats, chickens, and horses. This conversation reignited the question that had been lingering in Carte's mind,.
“Why do you guys call her ‘Miss. Mav’?” he asked.
Lloyed chuckled “Just respect really, a nickname that has been with her for years. She was a bossy thing when she was younger and hung around here. Shit I mean she still is. They call her that in the rodeo to just kinda stuck Mr. Dutton started it really.” he finished.
Carter nodded, his gaze drifting away from Lloyd, his thoughts lingering on their recent interaction. He recalled the moment when she was putting her horse away, a vivid picture in his mind. Her spirited chatter had flowed effortlessly, yet he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being scrutinized, as if he were in the hot seat. The way she tilted her head, a delicate movement that drew attention to the soft curves of her features, captivated him. Her eyes, bright and intent, locked onto his with a piercing focus, making him acutely aware of every word he uttered. An unsettling mix of nerves and intrigue bubbled within him, leaving him both breathless and contemplative.
He watched her as she bikers with her horse as one would with a person made him laugh, “Why do argue with him like he can understand you.” Carter asked laughing a bit and closing the stall as she stepped out.
“Hes like a giant dog who has no manners.” she scoffed glaring at her horse.
He chuckled a bit watching the horse wander around the unfamiliar stall before sticking his head out and going for her hat. Crystal quickly grabbing her hat from him, “Can you not! Can't you see in having a conversation!”
Her horse shook his head almost in a mocking manner “Take it he's a handful when y'all aren't actually showing?”
“Handful is an understatement Theo is a Boy dog with leg extensions.” she laughed a bit.
Their eyes met, “so whatcha doing tonight Carter?” she asked putting her hand behind her back.
Carter scracthed his neck nervously as she stepped a bit closer to him, “Well.. Uh nothin much, just plan on turning in for the night having dinner with my family tonight.”
She hummed “ Ouu sounds fun so ill see you at dinner then! Maybe after-”
“Cryst! Let's go!” Mikey yelled into the barn, his voice stopped quickly seeing them close.
“Hey! You leave that poor boy alone!” Mikey yelled.
Her head shaped over to her brother scoffing “Shut up Michael! Can't I have friends!” she finish shoot ping her hands up in a shrug expression.
“Carter run while you can!” he spoke, a small playful scream leaving him as he quickly ran back as he saw his sister start to move towards him.
She looked back quickly waving at Carter and smiling at him “Bye Carter I’ll see you at dinner!” she spoke quickly before turning back and running out of the barn.
Coming back out of though he laughed a bit to himself his eyes looking up meeting Ryans. He sat up quickly looking around “ What?” he asked.
“Oh nothing, just watching you smile to yourself over there like a lil weirdo.” Ryan spoke shrugging his shoulders.
“What no! Am I really?” he asked quickly.
“Ye’ yet are” Teeter grinned, “Thinkin’ bout’ lil miss Mav huh?” Teeter spoke to the boy.
Carter shook he head standing up “No its not like that, just not used to talking to kids my age and having some around is nice..”
Lloyd hummed mockingly “mmhmm, Thats why you waited a hole hour after just to unsaddle her horse.”
“I was being nice.”
The bunkhouse erupted into a chorus of laughter, the sound echoing off the wooden walls. A playful teasing filled the air as the boy, his cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and delight, exchanged glances with his obvious crush. It was to early to say he had any actual feelings toward her but he'd be lying if he said he didn't grin when thinking about her.
The bunkhouse fell to a hush as Beth entered the house, “Baby lets go we have guest tonight.” she spoke motioning to him.
Carter looked back at everyone “Not a word..” he mouthed, the cowboys only laughing lowly as he left.
Getting in Beths car she looked over at him. “I need you to take a shower when we get up to the house okay? Gotta be a bit presentable.” grabbing his head kissing the side of it, “You smell like horse shit.” she smiled before starting the car heading up to the house.
This was bound to be an interesting dinner.

Her body shivered as she heard him admit his actions without remorse. This scary man’s name is Lance. He’s dangerous and sadistic, with no moral compass.
Lance’s presence was intimidating. He was a hulking figure with a sinister smile that never quite reached his cold, calculating eyes. His hands, large and scarred, rested on the table with a casual menace. His voice was a deep, gravelly rumble that carried an unspoken threat, making it clear that he was a man who thrived on fear and chaos.
He will do anything to get what he wants. She had heard from some people that Lance had a plan to kidnap a billionaire’s kid and demand a ransom.
Genevieve didn’t want to participate and felt lucky that she had escaped that circle of hell. But right now, she was walking back into hell to stop the humiliation her family received from you.
Lance put out his cigar and leaned back, his eyes glinting with malevolence. “You’re not here for a cup of tea, right?”
Genevieve took a seat beside him, trying to steady her trembling hands. “I need your advice. I’ll give you money.”
He let out a low chuckle, sending chills down her spine. “Now we’re speaking the same language.”

Bucky went to visit the new manufacturing company. He felt a wave of fear when he stepped into the factory. As he was receiving the tour, he passed by some workers. One particular worker, with a larger build than the others, wore a big hat that covered his upper face. Bucky shivered. It was the same feeling he had when he was kidnapped. His trauma was triggered again.
He turned to take a good look at the man again, catching only a side view. But that smirk—he knew it. He had seen it a million times in his nightmares. That man was his kidnapper.
Bucky's heart started beating fast, and he couldn't keep standing. He struggled to breathe and then collapsed. Everyone around him panicked.
"Boss!!!" His assistant and secretary quickly rushed to help Bucky, but their touch only made his symptoms more severe.
"Call an ambulance!" the assistant yelled, and others frantically tried to assist.
Except for Lance. He looked on from afar and smirked. This was exactly what Genevieve had asked Lance to do: trigger Bucky's trauma and trap him in his own nightmare.
You received a call from Juliana informing you that Bucky had been taken to the hospital. When you arrived, you found out that Bucky had lost consciousness. You felt an overwhelming sense of guilt for not being able to help him.
Juliana looked at you with concern, her eyes filled with worry. You clenched your fists, your heart aching for Bucky. "I should have been there for him."
Juliana put a comforting hand on your shoulder. "There's no way you could have known. All we can do now is be here for him when he wakes up."
You nodded, determined. "I will. I won't let him face this alone."
💍💍💍💍
While Genevieve felt great that her plan was working, she didn’t know that Jonathan had another idea: to arrange an engagement between Victoria and another successful family.
Victoria pointed at the photo of a man she knew from her social circle. "Him?" It was Ryan Henken, a rich daddy's boy.
Jonathan nodded. "You both already know each other. It will be easy to fast-track the engagement."
Victoria's face twisted in disbelief. "He’s not the right person to marry. His mind is messed up." It was true; she hung out with Ryan and others, but he was the type of man suited for parties, not family life. She knew how Ryan treated his former girlfriends. The man was crazy.
Even after listening to his daughter, he remained firm. "His parents have already agreed to this."
"You didn't even discuss this with me! Are you going to let me have a miserable marriage?" Victoria's voice was filled with desperation.
"You still live under my roof. My rule," Jonathan said coldly, leaving the room. His decision was final, and no one could change it.
Victoria clenched her fists in frustration. Her peaceful life had started crumbling after you ruined her engagement with Bucky. This was all because of you.
Upset, Victoria drove around the city aimlessly. She eventually stopped at a park and began walking, trying to clear her mind.
“Pretty lady, you dropped your keys,” she heard an elderly voice say.
Turning around, she widened her eyes. She knew this older woman—it was your grandmother, Cassandra.
Victoria clenched her fists as she approached. "Thank you," she said, leaning down to pick up the keys. She leaned closer and whispered to Cassandra, "The woman who stays with you is not Ophelia, but your granddaughter. Your daughter is dead, killed by her husband. And the granddaughter who stays with you shares the same blood as the man who killed Ophelia."
Cassandra's breath shortened, and she pulled at her hair in distress. "Ophelia… No… My baby!"
“Hey! What did you do to her?” Cassandra's caretaker pushed Victoria away from the elderly woman.
Seeing Cassandra devastated made Victoria feel a twisted sense of fulfillment. "I'm just telling the truth," she said, then left, acting as if she had nothing to do with Cassandra's agony.
Cassandra's mind was in turmoil, unable to accept that her daughter was dead.
❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
You rushed home immediately when you heard your grandma had fainted from a panic attack. What was happening? First Bucky, now your grandma?
As you entered her room, the first thing Cassandra said when she saw you made your heart ache. Her weak hands trembled as she tried to reach for you. "Ophelia, you're here." You went into her arms, only for her to push you away, leaving you flabbergasted.
Her frantic eyes bore into you. "No. You died!" Cassandra's voice broke with grief. "It's my fault." She kept mumbling, "I'm sorry… I'm sorry." The caretaker had to calm her down with medication.
Slowly, you walked out of her bedroom, not realizing tears had started slipping from your eyes. You were the type of person who found it difficult to cry.
The first time you fully remembered crying was when your mother got sick. The second time was at Ophelia's funeral. The third time was when Genevieve tore down the glass house your mother had built. The fourth time was when Cassandra began forgetting you because of her dementia.
You leaned your back against the wall and slowly slid down, sitting on the floor as you cried.
Suddenly, you heard footsteps and someone calling your name. You lifted your head and saw Patrick standing there.
Patrick saw you crying for the first time, and his heart ached for you. He knelt down and hugged you tightly. "It's alright, you can get through this," he whispered.
As he held you, you felt a sense of security you had longed for. It would be a lie to say you never craved affection from your father. But with Patrick, you could sense his genuine desire to protect you.
Patrick's embrace was strong and warm, his hand gently rubbing your back. "I wish I could have been here for you sooner," he said softly, his voice tinged with regret. "But I'm here now, and I won't let you go through this alone."
You clung to him, your tears soaking his shirt. For the first time in a long while, you felt the kind of support and love you had missed so desperately. It was a bittersweet comfort, knowing that Patrick was there for you while feeling the weight of your losses even more keenly.
Patrick gently wiped away your tears, his eyes filled with determination. "We'll get through this together," he promised, his voice steady and reassuring. "I won't let anything else happen to you or your grandma."
🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊
At the charity event, where many guests and influential people were gathered in the ballroom, the spokesperson said, “We’re grateful for the generous donation from our biggest benefactor, Jonathan Sinclair,” gesturing for Jonathan to stand up so the guests could see him and give him an ovation.
Jonathan stood up and smiled, but suddenly, Patrick appeared and punched him hard. Jonathan fell to the ground, and the crowd gasped in shock, some screaming.
This was Patrick’s purpose. He wanted to ruin Jonathan's good name since he had cultivated an image of a quiet yet charitable man, along with Genevieve and Victoria.
Patrick, now on top of Jonathan, continued to punch him. "This man left his wife dying for his mistress," he shouted, loud enough for everyone to hear. "After his wife was buried, he brought in his mistress and daughter. A daughter he had while still married."
Patrick paused, his fist hovering in the air, his eyes red and glassy with anger and tears. "I shouldn't have left Ophelia with you. You have a good daughter and a kind mother-in-law. You don’t deserve them!"
He landed another punch so hard at Jonathan's face that someone swore they saw a tooth fly out.
“Stop! You’re going to kill him!” Genevieve screamed, running toward them as if she had arrived late.
The security finally intervened, restraining Patrick, who spat, “I should’ve done that a long time ago.”
Genevieve carefully touched Jonathan’s bloody face and glared at Patrick. “You won’t get away with this.”
Patrick smirked. “I’ll be waiting.” He walked away, satisfied after doing something he felt should have been done long ago.
Jonathan lay on the ground, coughing up blood. If he could open his eyes, he would see the judgment in everyone’s eyes as they realized he wasn’t so great after all.

Okayokayokay so I was thinking smth like you're a friend of bams who gets dragged along with most of his adventures which leads to you meeting ville and he just. Instantly is like 'that ones mine, when do you want to move to Helsinki with me' kinda similar to yr bam x model!reader fic iykwim?
Love You To Death
Having Bam Margera as a friend also means you get dragged along on whatever project he’s working on, most recently leading you to Finland, where you would get caught up in something you couldn’t even imagine.
Ville Valo X Fem!Reader (slight Bam Margera X Ville Valo if you squint?)
(Angst, fluff)
3.2k Words
Warnings: Highly suggestive content, alcohol, smoking, manipulation, power imbalance, fighting, toxic relationships
An: Thank you so much for your request! I always love writing for kind of messed up relationships such as this one and would be happy to do a sequel! This is my first time writing a Ville centric fic so lmk what you think! Thank you for the request and please keep sending them!
Being a part of Bam’s crew and following him around everywhere only served to reinforce one fact: you were nobody special. He always claimed that your little group was a package deal, but who was the one always always getting followed by cameras and reporters? Certainly not you, or Ryan, or god forbid Novak. Bam was getting all the product deals, all the interviews, all the chicks. It was no wonder that after years of watching from the sidelines, you were a little jealous. But while you were filming together, you usually tried to push that aside.
“He’s, like- the Elvis of Finland, Y/N!” You were flying out to Europe to film this music video, and Bam had been excitedly gushing about something or other the whole time- this rock star he wanted to introduce you to, but you were pretty clearly not paying much attention. “Chicks pass out when he walks down the street! They’re, like- my favorite band.” Yeah, because if Bam’s a fan of something, that means it’s good. You nodded, sitting back in your economy class seats while you tuned him out.
It was the dead of winter, so Helsinki-Vantaa was completely decked out in Christmas decorations as you touched down, making the whole airport glow amber in the dark blue night- what a sight to wake up to.
☆彡
Half asleep, you were still blinking awake as you arrived at a dim, seedy looking rock club in the center of the city- some place called Tavastia. The bouncers outside took one look at Bam and quickly ushered you guys over to this side entrance, giving him his usual celebrity treatment. Following him to where the band was hanging out backstage, you had to do a double take when you saw that tall stranger sprawled out on the couch, idly smoking his cigarette with half lidded eyes. His eyes flicked up to meet yours first before darting towards Bam, who was standing with a hand held out to pull him to his feet, “Hey, man! What’s up?” There were traces of pink lipstick left on his cigarette as this beauty of a man took a drawl, shrugging, “Nothing much.” His eyes fell on you again as he looked you up and down as he talked with Bam in that low, totally chill register, “Who’s this?”
He introduced you to each other: Y/N, this is Ville. Ville, this is Y/N. Honestly, you misconstrued his subtle flirting as him just being nice- you chalked up how he said it was a pleasure to meet you and the way he kept looking back to you while Bam was excitedly going on about the new video as Scandinavian hospitality, if that’s a thing. You were so oblivious. The roar of the excited crowd was a mere rumble from where you were, and as the band got their cue to head out onstage, Ville shot you a wink as he slipped out the door.
You know that phonemenon where someone goes to a concert and they swear back and fourth the singer was making eye contact with them the entire time? Well, you were pretty sure Ville’s eyes didn’t leave yours for the entire set. He was gazing at you as if you were the only person in the entire world. However, you were pretty oblivious to this- all you were really paying attention to was the music. In fact, Bam noticed this even before you did, though at first he did think he was staring at him before that great, looking from one person to the other realization moment.
☆彡
He didn’t bring it up until you were stepping outside and getting into the waiting taxi, “How are you this oblivious?” Pulling your coat shut as you shook the snow out of your hair, you stepped down into the cab, “Huh?” Bam reached into his pocket, shoving a handful of twenty euro notes at the driver before turning to you, “Dude! He was givin’ you the eyes all night! Did you seriously not know he was into you?” The edge in Bam’s voice struck you as odd, but you were certainly listening now. “If I was in your shoes, Y/N- I’d be all over that shit in a heartbeat.” You still didn’t believe what he was saying. Why would a man like Ville- a man as famous as him (and as adored by women as him) want anything to do with you? You are barely a B list star in America. You weren’t a model or a pop star or anything- you got famous for hanging out with a guy who was fameous, which was nothing. Turning to look out the window as the snow flurried by in the pitch black night, you shrugged as the car sped off.
Bam received a phone call that night- from Ville, of course, grilling him for everything he knew about you. “From the moment I saw her, we had this…connection.” He mused, speaking in that flowery way he did when he was very passionate about something, “I have to have her. I’m sure you know what I mean, right?” Hushing the shock in his voice so he wouldn’t wake you, he leaned in close to the receiver, “Hold your horses, man- you just met her!” Oh, it’s not as if he would understand how he felt about you. Compared to him, Bam was a teen boy when it came to romance. But Ville’s fame usually got him what he wanted and, not wanting to appear lame in front of a man he respected so much, it only took a little priding to get your friend to eventually spill all the information he needed.
It was only a surprise to you when you discovered what was waiting in front of your hotel room door the next morning. A bouquet of flowers- your favorite flowers, which definitely weren't in season that time of year- bundled together with a black, silk ribbon. You examined them curiously, turning over the attached card and gasping when you saw who it was from. Maybe Bam was right about that.
★彡
Bam was in director mode the entire time you tagged along with him to the shoot, which is a nice way to say he was being a meticulous jerk. There was this whole production setup, with all these big cameras and mics and wires strewn about the floor- real professional looking, nothing like the run and gun camcorder stuff you were used to. It was dazzling enough to walk through this huge, baroque manor in the middle of the Czechian countryside, but to film in it?
Now, you didn’t catch the beginning of this argument, but while you were drooling over the fancy equipment, you heard something about the European model chick they were intending to have in the video running late. Despite this, Ville seemed surprisingly nonchalant about the situation as he reasoned with Bam, “Why don't we just use her?” Bam huffed out some response about how expensive it was to get this lady and Ville’s eyes wandered over to you, “I mean,” Ignoring him, he looked you up and down, speaking barely loud enough you could hear him, “she’s already very beautiful- She wouldn’t need very much hair and makeup.” Bam gave up his protest and went over to begrudgingly drag you to the makeup tables, mumbling something about this only being a practice run. All of this was leaving you confused and far more flustered than you could care to admit.
You weren’t sure what to make of everything that was happenings, and Bam’s very barebones direction of ‘be sexy’ right before the camera started rolling wasn’t helping much. It also didn’t help that you had this absolutely angelic man in front of you, serenading you completely shirtless. This is the kind of thing middle aged women read paperbacks to expereince, and there you were. While you tried your damndest to act all minxy (and frankly failing at it), Vile was so effortlessly confident. This incubus was bewitching you, and you were falling for his spell.
☆彡
That night, after the shoot, the three of you met up at the pub down the road. Ville greeted you with one of those cute European double cheek kisses, your skin being warmed by the yellow streetlamp you were standing underneath. Bam, who was standing right next to you, turned his face in anticipation, but the only thing he received from Ville was a friendly pat on the back (which was more of a shove) towards the door, “The bar’s that way! Go get yourself a drink.” It sent him stumbling ahead of you two and he looked back with bewilderment as you felt an arm slip around your shoulders. Despite the fact that you looked an awful lot like a couple, you didn’t mind being seen with this eye candy. Walking with Ville by your side was like walking through a dream. These beautiful women and beautiful men that lined the dark, wood paneled halls of the old pub all greeted him with admiration as you made your way to the bar. Some of the bolder women even reached out to touch him with fond, feather light caresses as he passed by, which he didn’t seem to mind in the slightest.
“You were wonderful today, Y/N.” Ville took the seat next to yours at the bar, leaning against the counter as he spoke in that mesmerizing way he did whenever he was talking to you, “Honestly, we’re thinking of using that take in the final video- you were much better than that model.” Your eyes went wide, and so did Bam’s as he leaned around you, “What’re you talking about? She was great!” This whole music video business was drawing a wedge between the two of them, and you were caught in the middle of it. Bam waved his hands to dismiss the notion. “Whatever- you know what?I think it went really well today.” It was odd- if it was anyone else but Ville he was taking to, you knew he would’ve stood his ground a little more. Even the way he talked around him was different. Bam shrugged, taking a swig of his beer to look nonchalant, “I just got some editing to do tomorrow and I should have somethin’ by the end of the day.” Your attention was drawn away as, leaning in towards you to be heard over the chatter of the bar, Ville murmured close to your ear, “Maybe while Bam’s busy doing that, I could show you around Helsinki tomorrow. Hmm?”
Well, how could you say no to that?
★彡
The next morning, Ville picked you up in front of your hotel and took you around to these beautiful, romantic spots. One among the many you visited was this gigantic church: Helsinki Cathedral, he told you it was called. Up the marble steps, you wandered about the stark, white columns near the entrance as Ville went on about the history of this building, “If I recall, it was built in tribute to Nicolas the first- back when this land was under Russian rule in the 1840s.” Though you would never say this aloud, you were really surprised at his knowledge of history. Ville was nothing like the grimey skater dudes that you usually hung around. He had this intelligent, charming air about him, and it helped that he didn’t smell like you sprayed a whole can of Axe body spray into a bag of Jack Links.
You didn’t even notice that he was looking at you as he mused aloud, “If I were to ever get married, Y/N, It would certainly be here.” From the second you walked in the room back at the club, Ville had his sights set on you. If it were a socially acceptable thing to do, Ville would’ve asked you to move in with him right then and there, but unfortunately he had some awareness of social graces. And as he stood on the steps with you, Ville just knew you would look like a princess dressed in white- an angel. He let his thoughts run wild a bit from there. Your lips were moving but the only thing he could hear was church bells.
Maybe not that fast- you were a sensible woman after all, Ville thought, and you didn’t seem the type to jump to get hitched to a man only because he was famous and interested. But that didn’t stop him from trying to subtly plant that thought in your head, conveniently taking a detour on the way back to your hotel to show you that wooden bridge in town that lovers and newlyweds place locks on to proclaim their affections for one another.
☆彡
You and Bam shared this look of confusion when the front desk lady told you there was something wrong with your reservation. A call was placed earlier and you had already checked out, she said, but despite Bam’s frustrated explanation that you already paid for that night, she wouldn’t hear him out- no refunds, hotel policy. Staring out the front window at the snow that was blustering by in the less than negative temperatures that were typical of a Helsinki winter, you racked your mind for options. Bam beat you to it, closing his flip phone with a click, “I just got off the phone with Ville-'” That knowing grin spread further across his face as he continued in a tone that indicated he was very proud of himself, “and he said we could crash at his flat for the night. He’s sending a car right now!”
A few moments later, the concierge let Bam know that he had a phone call for him. Reaching over the counter, he grabbed the receiver and pressed it to his ear, not noticing that you had slipped out the door even after you turned and called to him as you left, “Hey, I’ll wait out front!” It was really well choreographed- Ville called him just as that hot, black car pulled up in front of the hotel. Rolling down the window, he took in the sight of you there, standing under the yellow glow of that street lamp, waiting for him in the cold like some abandoned puppy on the side of the road. It was cute. You were walking around to the other side of the car as he lifted up the phone he was conveniently hiding below the window and pressed it to his ear, mumbling an “I'll call you back,” to Bam before flipping it shut. Sliding onto the warm, leather seat next to Ville was a welcome respite from the cold as you sighed, closing the door. He smiled at you and gently took your hand, placing a sweet kiss on your knuckle- this prince charming move that made you wonder if this was also a common gesture in Finland as you blushed and stammered, “Thanks for the, uh- thanks for the ride. How’s Bam gonna, like- get to your place…?” He shrugged nonchalantly, sitting back and looking back out the window as you sped off. “Oh, I just talked to him. We’re sending another car later to pick him up- he’ll be fine.” Once again, Ville’s fame got him what he wanted. The only thing he needed to do was make a phone call.
After you were done kissing your hellos, he talked with you on the drive to his place, but not the way Bam usually did- he wasn’t talking at you. Instead, Ville asked you how you were liking Finland or if you’d ever thought of moving here- he’d be happy to get you a place to stay and help you with the language if you were interested. Honestly, he made the whole concept of leaving your life in America behind sound pretty damn promising.
☆彡
“Wow…your place is really nice.” You looked arround with awe as you walked in the door, and even through the dimness you could tell it was a pretty upscale apartment. “I don’t spend a lot of time here- really. Just a place to crash between tours.” The only light in the room came from Ville’s fridge as he opened it, leaning inside. “Something to drink?” Sitting on his couch timidly, you gave him an, “mmhm,” and he came back with two beers, placing on on the glass coffee table and opening the other himself. Blue light cascaded onto his delicate features from the window that sat behind you, the only way you saw him in the darkness.
You couldn’t place your finger on what was so bewitching about Ville, but you had this whole image of him in your head already. He probably paints and writes poetry in this apartment, you thought. He probably spends his evenings on this very sofa, idly sipping wine for hours before throwing on his coat to solemnly wander about misty graveyards and lament the fleetingness of life and love while placing roses on headstones. He just seemed like the type.
The whole time the two of you were chatting over drinks and discussing how well the video went, Ville kept getting calls that he would quickly hit the ignore button on without any explanation. This would’ve set off red flags in any sane person, but at this point you couldn’t exactly consider yourself sane with the way you were drawn to him. What you didn’t know was who was calling him- Bam, who’d been waiting for that car to show up for the past two hours. That was until he called you and you quietly excused yourself to take it. “Dude! Okay, okay, okay-” He rambled on, “so basically- all the hotel shit’s sorted out! There was an issue with some system- i know- and they gave us all this complementary free shit!” From the way Bam was slurring his words, you could tell he was already making a dent in the mini bar. Still, you were relieved that everything got sorted out, however suspicious the circumstances.
But despite how happy Ville seemed to hear the news, you could tell there was something else happening in his head. Standing up, you were making your way toward the door when you felt something stop you. It was a hand- pale, long fingers firmly grasping your arm, and there was something possessive about the way it held onto you, like someone holding onto something for dear life. “Ville…?” Turning to him, the only way you could make out his presence was from the way the light flooding in the window silhouetted him. There was this aching, earnestness in his voice. “Don’t go. Don’t leave Finland.” There was something in his pleading words that made you think that he wouldn’t know what tomorrow would bring if he woke up and you weren’t there. “What? You- you want me to stay?” Answering your silent question of ‘how long?’, Ville continued, all but encouraged by the sympathy bubbling up in the corners of your eyes. “I don't know: a day, a month- a year? Forever? Just, please- don’t leave. I need you.”
“My heart, my body- my soul needs you. Just…stay.”
