- practiced dance! (we have new dances we need to learn lolol)

- memorized a few rxns

- public health quiz

- i did nothing for genetics 🤡🤡

good news this week:

- my telehealth policy proposal was accepted!! i’m presenting it at a conference in april hehe :D

- got in contact w a ceo of a company im interested in!! we’re scheduled to get coffee together in march

- got a callback for an internship i applied to for the summer :D

Also, not to be churlish, but the “just leave a <3!!!” advice does not always have the desired effect.

Specifically, if a multi chaptered fic, or you read multiple fics quickly, commenting only the exact same emoji (❤️❤️❤️, anyone?) on every single one can backfire. I mean, thank you for being here, but did the filler chapter with them on a bus and the climactic cliffhanger chapter REALLY have the same effect on you? Were they and your rxns to them interchangeable? If so… they weren’t supposed to. now I am sad

I don’t want comments given out of obligation or to prove that you were here. I want to know not that you read it, but how it made you feel. One meaningful comment (and, like, long comments are bliss, sure, but I mean even “oh no!” or “bruce ❤️❤️” or anything that indicates that you had a response to what I wrote)—one meaningful comment is worth a ficfull of ❤️❤️❤️

BTW i see these posts all the time like "ohhh i dont know what to comment on fics.." and every response is "keysmashes! or hearts!! anything works :3" and thats GREAT!! thats helpful!!

but: consider. if u genuinely like analyzing writing.. do u know ur just allowed to go through and quote your favorite parts and ramble abt what they mean to u and the author will LOSE IT WITH HYPE?

genuinely. i felt SO WEIRD the first time i did it.. but like. holy shit authors love it. its crack for authors. the first time i did it, it was on a fic that hadnt updated in half a year, give or take, and the author made 3 updates that month BECAUSE OF MY COMMENT.

LIKE. as an author every comment is INCREDIBLE!!! but also, dont feel like your comment has to be short or otherwise ur invasive or smth!! authors ADORE long comments more than ANYTHING.
