Trapdoor is indeed so interesting. It’s all about Ruby’s isolation and her wanting to let it go, but can’t help but hold on(to freeze). Also apologizing if I get some of these lyrics wrong. It’s kinda hard to hear them.
The pain keeps invading

Ruby is feeling as we saw like she wasn’t enough, but that she couldn’t show the weight she felt to her friends because she feared their reaction.
Watch it all unfold as I cascade below
That might be alluding to her running away at the end of the episode and then drinking the tea, which lead her to cascading below swallowed by the tree.

No disrespect to Jeff Williams, but I really love the shift from (still very awesome) Power Ballad Butt Rock, to emotionally devastating Electronica Prog Metal brought on by Casey taking over the reins. If Volume 10 onward have soundtracks even half as good as Volume 9's, it would still be in the upper echelon of the show's music.

I find the v9 rwby soundtrack pretty okay overall, but Guide My Way (Red Like Roses Part 3) is so good it single-handedly pushes it up to a 10/10
