WAS NOBODY GOING TO TELL ME there was a 4th season of RWBY Chibi!?!?!
(8-10 episodes, 2 removed for some reason?)
I just learned about it this morning!? Why isn't it on the Youtube playlists or the RT website?
It's on RT's youtube as clips as of last year, and I guess aired on something called "Neon Konbini" from 2021? (Probably why it shows up as a separate entity...) but dang it internet! How dare you not keep me in the loop, especially when I went through and rewatched all of these just the other month! Does the algorithm mean nothing!?

4 NEW CAMP CAMP EPISODES COMING OUT 1st of MARCH, 2024.
youtube
Out of nowhere an hour ago, RT dropped this live-action skit re-enacting the show’s theme song with the text announcement of 4 whole new episodes.
…That’s a tad bit unexpected. And also smaller than I’m used to!
It appears to me that Camp Camp’s return might be in a drastically reduced form — as in, a lot less episodes than last time. Just like RWBY Chibi when they brought it back for single segments in Neon Konbini, or RT’s Sims 2 machinima series The Strangerhood where they made 4 episodes as a indiegogo stretch goal for their movie Lazer Team.
But perhaps new episodes of season 5 will release in batches? Like, 4 more new episodes in July, and then October? Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking? The great Camp Camp drought has really messed me up.

Its truly hilarious seeing some jackass on YT (they've now moved into invading Shorts) with "Why RWBY failed...". Not only doing the usual disgusting shit of trying to use Monty's name to shit on the show post his death, which is disgusting enough (not to mention Neath already telling people they don't have any right to do).
But also RWBY has:
9 volumes/seasons w/ a 10th not canceled just in waiting/hiatus
2 part crossover movie w/ the Justice League
4 books
2 JL crossover comics
DC canon comic run
2 manga runs
Japanese anime adaptation
Official Japanese dub
Millions of viewers/fans
2 games
3-4 showing up in other games
Chibi spinoff that has 4 seasons of its own
Fairytales spinoff
Now a v-tuber series
In what world has RWBY "failed" at all? Like no, not matching some braindead incel jackass's wants doesn't match "failing". Then again its probably the same as the ones that bash Captain Marvel as a failure even though it went over a billion dollars (which for a time was the goal post the shitlords set)

Okay, Penny Polendina propaganda time because I just had a dream about her again and I wanted to rant about why she is probably the most tragic character I know.
Penny Polendina I'm sure you know represents Pinocchio in RWBY Lore. Penny Polendina's character contrasts with that of about every other character in that she is blissfully unaware of everything that goes wrong. Despite this, she is rather important due to her position as a private weapon claimed by Ironwood's military. Despite this, she was never developed as a weapon, but a daughter for her father, Pietro, whom sees her as his one and only real daughter.
He's very protective of Penny, and for a good reason. Penny's character arc not only revolves around her finding freedom and self-autonomy through Ruby, the protagonist, becoming her literal ONLY FRIEND, but choosing her one friend over the entire world that's used her.
Naturally, the response wasn't as good.
Penny ultimately ends up becoming the centerpiece for the Vytal Festival Tragedy where she is accidentally ripped to pieces by Pyrrha Nikos, who was set up to fight against her because her power is magnetism and Penny's a robot. This throws everything into disarray, and an all-out siege occurs in Beacon because the Grimm (the main monsters/antagonists) are drawn by negative emotion. Combined with the White Fang and Cinder's party being involved, Penny's death not only affected those who saw her on stage, but also those who saw her as important or not, as a friend.
Ruby was one of them. And it can be said that Penny's death was the catalyst for the turning point of the series where everything goes to shit. Yes, that includes Pyrrha's death, meaning Pyrrha's death wasn't the catalyst. I'm sorry Pyrrha stans.
Anyways, skip forward a couple of seasons. No, I'm not kidding, she doesn't get mentioned for 4 whole seasons after this. Albeit, not to a significant extent. Ultimately it becomes a story about the main characters fighting to survive in this world where everything is under siege. It's as if her character was forgotten entirely. As if Penny's fans meant nothing for 4 whole seasons.
I was one of those fans. And knowing how little the creators of RWBY cared about Penny's character hurt me. Furthermore, when they reintroduced Penny into the spinoff, RWBY Chibi, it added more salt to the wound, albeit I was glad Penny would be in a world she could finally be safe.
Though, not like it matters. Even in RWBY Chibi I wasn't free of feelings.
See, RWBY Chibi is a skit-based miniseries starring the cast of RWBY. It's not meant to be taken seriously. Hell, even with several jokes going off the fourth wall and Penny being one of the most ignorant yet aware characters in the whole series, this position was reserved for Nora. Penny felt like a bench warmer, reintroduced to make RWBY Chibi relevant again. And lo and behold, the Fireflies scene.
OOOHHHH THE FIREFLIES SCENE. Unironically awakened me to how romantic and sweet Penny could be, and revitalized hoe much I loved her character.
For those who don't know, the Fireflies scene is a scene where Penny and Ruby are in the woods at night checking out fireflies. Ruby points out how they're like little lights, and calls Penny a firefly. Penny returns the comment, albeit literally. But ultimately, after spending some time together bonding over the fireflies, Penny and Ruby ultimately realize they're calling each other 'their light.' Whether I'm remembering this right or not, not only was it FANTASTIC ship material, it showcased how Penny is happier with Ruby in her life in a world where nothing is asked of her.
Anyways, 4 seasons after Penny dies, she is rebuilt with her memories intact thanks to her father recovering it from the wreckage of the arena after the storm settled. There's a heartfelt reunion after Penny's redesigned self is unveiled, but now she reveals that she been employed as the protector of ALL OF ATLAS, she sadly reveals that there's not much time for reunion. To make matters worse, yet ANOTHER plot is under way with Penny as the center. Penny and Ruby, before then, find time to make up for lost time, albeit not under better circumstances. However, despite all that, Penny still proudly calls Ruby her first friend, and that she couldnt have pushed this far without her. Ruby feels the same, and vows to protect her.
It's this series of moments that really cemented for me my main thesis for this next part, leading into volumes 8 and 9 - that Ruby and Penny are quite literally Romeo and Juliet, star-crossed lovers never meant to be, the TITULAR romantic tragedy. I'll get to that, however.
Anyways, the plot unfolds and Penny is framed for the murder of a ROOM full of executives, and Ruby and friends are labelled fugitives. Ironwood ultimately turns of Penny, and Penny struggles with the burden of having to protect Atlas despite her doing everything right. What happens next? Oh, I dunno, PENNY IS MOUNTED WITH INFINITELY MORE RESPONSIBILITY BY BECOMING THE WINTER MAIDEN.
I literally had a dream about that happening years ago after Penny died. I should've said something 💀.
Anyways, not only is she the protector of Atlas, Winter Maiden, AND framed for murder, but now she's INFECTED WITH A VIRUS THAT WILL KILL HER.
In a final bout, Team RWBY agrees to use the artifact they're protecting to use a loophole that will remove Penny's soul from her body, turning her into a real girl (completing the Pinocchio allusion), and Penny in what she doesn't know are her final moments hugs Ruby. She utters the words, "do hugs always make you feel this warm?" And ultimately is sent off with Team RWBY to stop Cinder's plan to destroy both Atlas and Mantle.
Penny becomes the main target due to being Winter Maiden, but since her human body is untrained and significantly weaker, she ends up fatally wounded. To make sure Cinder doesn't get Penny's Maiden Powers, she for the first time ever gets to make an order. She begs Jaune to kill her. And regretfully, he must.
Enter Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet are from two families set apart and destined never to make peace. However, despite that, Romeo and Juliet fall in love. Believing they will make it out and escape free, they fake their deaths of their own accord to fool their families and change their names. Penny is like Romeo, and Ruby as Juliet. Romeo was the second to choose death, believing Juliet had died by poisoning herself. Penny only chose death because she thought Ruby died. In circumstances that forbid her from being happy with Ruby, which is shown to be possible by Chibi, Penny chose death, losing her one chance to be happy. Ruby is unaware of Penny's Death, but the narrative leading into Volume 9 shows "death isn't the end," as evidenced by Little becoming Somewhat after dying. This is vital to the revival part of Romeo and Juliet.
In Volume 9, Ruby is overwhelmed by grief of the whole situation. During the Mad Teaparty where supposedly everyone who's died comes back to haunt Team RWBY, Ruby chooses death as well. She drinks the tea that kills her, believing it's her fault that Penny died.
How did Romeo (Penny) die? Well, after finding out Juliet supposedly killed herself (she didn’t, she would come back to life because the poison was temporary), Romeo ACTUALLY poisoned himself, dying for real. But what happened after that? Juliet, seeing Romeo dead for real, decides also to actually poison herself. They would die lovers, together in death. Ruby believed she would see Penny again for real, only to be given a second chance and ultimately overcome the Mad Teaparty.
The storyboards for the epilogue showcase that everyone knows Penny is dead, and Winter believes she's "never coming back." Since Ruby has overcome the story of Romeo and Juliet, it should be fair that life would somehow give Penny another chance like Little.
But what happened? Volume 10 isn't greenlit, meaning in the most meta way possible, Penny's chance (and yes. A SLIM chance) at life again is denied by REALITY ITSELF. All the cards point to it. Everyone knows it. Everyone wants it. But we can't have it.
And now Penny's story will go down as a tragedy, as Romeo and Juliet, forbidden to be. Is that how you want it to end? Ruby only loving Penny as a memory, when reality shows they can be happy, like in Chibi?
Do you want to see Penny have a chance? Vote for her. Penny did nothing wrong. Give Penny a chance.
Thank you for following my vague, incoherent interpretation of Penny's story.

nightbringer initial thoughts
i know no one gives a SHIT about hashtag girlucifer's thoughts or anything also this blog has been mostly dead at least from my own original content for a while. my life majorly sucks at the moment but also i'm super cool about everything. ANYWAY so here's my updated mc in the new game
Tumblr media
*of note, i lost some weight hehe i'm growing out my hair and i'm utilizing this like... coconut butter thing which brings out like these natural funky waves which is really cute on me with my longer hair! and also i've been vibing with this black turtleneck so there's that. okay to my thoughts now
DISCLAIMER: i'm only up to lesson 4 so leave me alone if my ideas show up later in the season, i'll get to lesson 10 hopefully by tomorrow but we will see
i really think solmare needs to hire me ASAP. as if i don't have enough stuff going on. anyway so the way the story is going, i am fearful of a repeat of the original obey me! app where it's basically regaining our pacts with the brothers + maybe some lore sprinkled in to keep us from ditching the app entirely. yes, while it's great to see some scenes where mammon admits he feels worthless and just goes along for the ride (eg, the great celestial war) because he's afraid of being alone, or satan's rage, or even the quirky stuff like leviathan's origin story with ruri-chan + "snake" - like it's cute and fun but i really honestly came to nightbringer hoping for the ANGST. these brothers are POST-CELESTIAL-WAR. like not even post. like it happened like A FEW HOURS into lesson 1. i need you to understand that the great celestial war wasn't just something that happened. it wasn't just a thing lucifer & his brothers decided to do in the spur of the moment. that shit was PREMEDIATED. it took a number of catalysts, last one being lilith in love with a human, to ignite the war. they fell from celestial status to DEMONS. the very thing they were born, taught, fueled to hate. IT CANNOT BE THAT SIMPLE for them to just be like ok wig let's move past it. maybe i'm projecting. but i want them to GRIEVE. i want them to be ANGRY. to be fair, we did get the mammon + leviathan fight scene, which was AWESOME. that's what i want to see! we get to see satan TRULY ANGRY. which is also good! versus y'know, nerd bitch catboy. asmodeus beelzebub and belphegor unfortunately are not very well-rounded and seem the same. instead, the writers really should've taken asmodeus weird tendencies to become flirtatious, like it should be jarring to him. he should be terrified as to why he's all of a sudden so enamored with the demons around him. why he feels drawn towards physical affection, something deemed sinful and naughty in the celestial realm. beelzebub should've been ... well idk. belphegor had a lot of potential because he was the one so intent on destroying humans after he lost his SISTER that lucifer and belphegor should've had their falling out right then and there for MC to truly see how broken their family was right after their fall.
i think we all came to the consensus that the 3D models are wack. i really wish they used the anime style or chibi 2D style or something. i love that kind of shit, the 3D looks like just some rwby weird shit going on. but i'm a hater. so idk. i hate tiktok and whatnot so i'm kind of like ummm
the battles take so much longer and i'm so sad i have to start from essentially nothing again for cards. i worked for nearly over a year to get the strongest cards for each color, both for demon and memory. so to do it all again... not fun and i probably will give up just because i'm soooo tired.
i think lucifer is a bitch dude i need him to stop being such a fucking bitchhhh i'm already on the edgeeee i need love and romance and whatnot
i wish . i could see baby luke... and i really hope when simeon shows up, he's going to be like bitchhh fuck lifeeee like i need him to curse and scream and be a menace and evil and stuff. i think it would be fun. especially since we lost out on fallen simeon. fuck my baka life
i will always hate how the devs don't give a shit about basic common sense in regards to the timeline. if the great celestial war happened like, at least SOMEWHAT according to the motherfucking BIBLE . then humans were like not a thing when they fall. or if you want to be lenient, it would've bene ancient times for the humans. aka no phones, no manga or anime, no "otaku" phrase since NO JAPAN. well i'm not that great with ancient society, maybe there was japan. but yeah, basically with the DDD and diavolo's society being so advanced, it makes it that the only logical answer to convince myself from blowing up is that a demon is responsible for human's developments in society. but that's lame as fuck :sob: i want humans to be like. resilient and the ones who taught the demons because i'm a bitch and love humanity and wish to see the inherent good in everyone please oh god please
anyway yeah i'm a bitch and insane and like i honestly have been going through it guys i am not going to lie i had a fun little whirlwind romance and it's over now and i'm trying to convince myself it was fun while it lasted but i miss him so much so like, with nightbringer i'm like wow can this really distract me from the unrelenting sadness his face brings lol anyway yeah enjoy my ramblings but i know my blog is dead but maybe it'll be revived with this app <- says this but will disappear for another 6 months

[hair]
physical features ** accepting @lacrimcrum and @eiiskonigin asked: [hair] because they know my weaknesses and enable me like the sweetest enablers, and what do u mean Winter helped him preen.
first things first, if you read nothing else, know this:
qrow identifies as human, but he is also a shapeshifter, and a long-term by-product of this magic is that functionally he has become a faunus. in his mid-twenties he developed a uropygial (preening) gland at the base of his skull, and the hair on his head started acting like feathers.
he still has human strands of hair. if you touch it, it feels the same, parts the same way to comb through it, sheds the same way, is going gray the same way, but it behaves like feathers. it lies on his head in feathered pieces and parts and layers and patterns, and the strands of those parts move together like feathers. they shift over each other, they bounce, they slide back into place if you try to pull them apart or style them differently, and yes,
Tumblr media
they floof up if he gets startled or excited.
Tumblr media
the way his 'feathers' shift in the wind (or, don't, as above) also lets it 'talk to him.' bird instincts might kick in about happenings within a certain radius or weather changes.
the oil gland means he has to preen or he will be miserable. his scalp and hair will be extra oily in some places and extra dry in others, acne, dandruff, the works. especially during molt seasons. if he does keep up with it, and you can catch it in the right light, you might notice a deep burgundy, opalescent sheen.
Bartholomew Oobleck, as a hummingbird faunus with similar traits, first recognized this and taught him how to take care of it.
it also means water/rain will bead off of it, giving him some weather resistance. it takes extra time and some friction in the shower to get it to saturate before it finally falls out of style and he can wash it like normal hair.
this is the part he often worries people will catch on to, if he's out in the rain or sharing a shower with someone. strangely enough, people don't really notice things they don't expect. or they rationalize it away. qrow's character designer said that they didn't want him to look like he gives too much of a damn. rwby chibi Tai said, mocking qrow, 'look at my messy hair that i spend an hour every day styling.' i trust the designer more. qrow's hair does that on its own and Tai doesn't have a clue, because he doesn't realize there's been a change from the messy mane qrow he first met.
Tumblr media
how else do you spend an entire day out in the rain and still have perfect hair? products could never.
(did anything like this happen to Raven? he doesn't know, these things started showing up after she left. but the bird-like movements she has in vol 4 seem to suggest so.)
(the only time he thinks about his faunus-ness is when he sees a sign prohibiting entry of them, and can mentally, well, flip it the bird, since he's human on paper and passes enough to get away with going wherever he wants.)
okay, onto the full story:
qrow grew up with the typical unruly black Branwen mane, though more manageable since he kept it short. it was shaggier and unstyled when he started at Beacon, curling both around and away from his neck and ears with lots of cowlicks.
he cut it shorter, a more 'polished' look, once he returned to beacon for second year, following his first summer back with the Branwen tribe. this was a private and personal shift, a symbol of not wanting to do that back and forth ever again, a cutting of ties from the tribe and desire to fit in with more 'sophisticated' and 'professional' society.
it slowly grew into its current style after receiving his magic. it used to be a cottony kind of soft, but became more slippery and silky. it fluffed out, found it's pieces, and formed into that point on the back of his head, around the gland. he couldn't change it anymore, no matter how much he tried. it wouldn't grow any longer. it wouldn't hold a different style. he could cut it, but it would return rather quickly to what it was before, or change right back as soon as he shifted in and out of his real feathers.
at least preening became the only maintenance he had to worry about.
he never really had the genes for a full thickness beard, though he could have tried before his magic. but he kept clean-shaven until then. ever since, his facial hair isn't feathers, but similarly became resistant to change, even when he got away from a lot of self-care. he has his jawline beard and that's all he can grow. it's sparse, but the hairs are long enough to be soft, stringy things, most of the time. he does have to keep up around the inner edges and his upper lip or he will get some scratchy stubble. he will use literally anything that's around for this. modern razor, safety razor, cutthroat razor, dagger, clean edge utility knife, y'know. bandit life taught him to use all manner of blades. chronic babyface. old man nose and ear hair hasn't noticeably caught up to him yet, but in the future who knows.
Tumblr media
his body hair follows this same pattern, stringy, soft, present, but not in bushes. he has chest hair, thickest in the middle of his chest and thinning out over his pectorals, and down to a line which connects to his lower belly and a happy trail which again is thick in the center and spreads and thins out across the front of his abdomen. every day, average arrangement of armpit and pubic hair. all black, all beginning to gray in current timeline.

Okay this was from my fourth time watching with discord chat, on the RT server.
WOOOOOO here we go! Gonna be another intro i never skip
Damm that rise "chef's kiss"
Wiess pose yaaaas I love Wiess poses this season
Surprised Blake is the one to come up with it. This major spoil is interesting and the morals being "metaded" makes me interested as to possible Twists perhaps the season isn't as close book as we think?
OMG the fan service finally, seems like RT is actually letting this volume be what a vast majority of fans (shippers) want, i really think v7 should have had what we seen now, but in Wiess's own words it's about time and I'm happy it's happening anyhow, from what Kerry said during the roundtable this seems like a bit of maintenance to the show and it's 100+ ep story and I'm all for it. Clearly that's not all and in looking forward to the Ever after.
¡FAT BIRD!
Yang in full yang mode i see, really thought we figured out the anger issues. Blake being the knowledge keeper this season isn't what i expected but hopefully (get it) we stop it soon. And thus the king arc is setup, will be interesting to see. Holy crap that got serious quick, hope, hope in a jar what is this story? The emotion rain strikes again, seems like this is normal according to the guards reaction. Wiess pouts Blake is logical for once, and i guess her reading all the time and knowing the plots makes sense as to why she's the exposition dump. Penny is still the MVP, heh, but no that was a heartfelt summary of her character certainly came for a dark ass place in ruby's heart.
Love the art and split frames, love Wiess's poses and the concept art was awesome also alliteration is the name of the show apparently, loving these ep names.
My main take aways are questions 1. Why are we getting the story now and what Twists will be introduced?
2. Will we meet Alex? Is it possible that she never left and has become the queen? Everything seems to have aged, so perhaps she fell through and became traped and so the world continues to age instead of being in it's fairytale state of never aging?
3. Is Jaune with the king, perhaps prisoner? Or has he become the white knight already?
4. This is more a prediction, i assume the king has crescent rose. In the game of chess or whatever that seems to involve tiny chibi team RWBY is she fighting for crescent rose or something else disguised as it, or something else entirely?

So I just want to start by pointing out that this kind of vitriolic response to an offhand comment in the tags is completely uncalled for. If you don't like someone's take on your favorite show, you're free to respond, but there's really no need to dive straight to abusive language like this. You come off as very childish and rude, and most of the time this would just get you ignored or blocked. But you just so happened to catch me on a day when I feel like diving into the reasons I fell out of love with RWBY. So here we go!
For a very long time, I was a die hard fan of RWBY. I first started watching the show around when Volume 3 had come out, and at the time, I was in a pretty bad place. RWBY helped me not think about shit for a while, and I think that's part of why it became so cemented in my heart. Even to this day, I keep my RWBY chibi figures up on my desk, I listen to the soundtracks, and I've kept up with the show. I'm not longer the die hard fan I was, but I don't hate RWBY by any means.
My love for the show was still going strong all the way through Volume 6. In fact, Volume 6 is my favorite season of the show. We finally got to see Bumblebee going somewhere, with real character development for both Yang and Blake, not to mention putting Adam's arc to a satisfying end. We got a massive, fascinating lore dump, the gang all reunites, just all around it's a good time.
Then we hit Volume 7.
We start getting weird forced drama between Ren and Nora that comes out of nowhere. Volume 6 they're fine and happy and everything's okay. Volume 7, Ren starts bickering with Nora because he's suddenly scared to be in a relationship, even though I had pretty much assumed they were together since Volume 4.
There's this whole idea of the Ruby gang training together and going on missions with the Atlas crew, and them all growing closer and bonding, except we only see like 10 minutes of that. I honestly to this day am not sure how much time actually passes during Volume 7. It feels like just a week or so, but the show acts like it's been months. But they don't show us that at all. Which means later on when the Atlas crew "betrays" the Ruby gang, it doesn't have any real impact. We the viewers have known them for a couple hours, of course they're completely loyal to Ironwood. The show tells us it's a terrible betrayal, but it doesn't feel like one.
And then there's Clover and Qrow. You are probably aware of the shitstorm that whole fiasco created, and I will be the first to admit that I reacted very badly to it myself. I will no longer cry foul about queerbaiting or bury your gays here, but I will maintain that Clover's death doesn't make one damn bit of sense. In what world would Qrow ever side with a known serial killer (who specifically targeted Qrow's niece!) over the guy he's been friends with for [insert length of Volume 7 here]? There are so many out of character things leading up to that moment, and it's clear the writers of the show were forcing their chosen plot through regardless of what made sense for the characters.
I stopped watching the show for a while after that. But eventually I dragged myself back to watch Volume 8. Lemme go ahead and preface this by saying Penny was (and remains) my favorite character in the entire show. So you can probably guess how I feel about this season.
This was my first season watching the show with my rose-tinted glasses gone. And I really started to see the problems. Characters being moved around like chess pieces to make the plot work. Fights between characters that come out of nowhere, just for the sake of splitting the party because they needed the party split for plot reasons. And ooh boy the numerous character deaths. The very second the plot is done with a character, ice 'em. Penny's entire purpose this season was to transfer the maiden's powers to Winter. I don't have a lot to say about this season because there really wasn't much to like, for me. Oh also that one grimm is just straight up a hydralisk and how did Blizz not go feral over that?
After that, I took another break from the show. I wasn't happy with the way the writing was treating the characters, and Penny getting killed off again so soon after being brought back just felt like spite and shock value. But eventually curiosity got the better of me, and I tried out Volume 9.
And was pleasantly surprised! It was much better than the previous two seasons. I certainly have my complaints, not least of which being the complete and total waste of Neo as a character. They could have done so much more with her, but instead, much like Penny, she fulfilled her plot purpose and promptly died.
So you may wonder why I still say RWBY's writing is terrible now. I liked Volume 9, I said it was much better than 7 and 8. Clearly they're improving, right? Except Volume 9 is very much a filler arc. Nothing major happens in it. Sure, we see Yang and Blake finally confirm they're in a relationship, and they do actually kiss on screen, but...they were already confirmed in a relationship by the end of Volume 8. So the only actual character progression there was the kiss. And considering how hard they were emphasizing "They're together now!" with characters on three separate occasions saying "Finally!" in response to them doing something romantic, it felt like the writers went into this season with "Yang and Blake kiss" as the only notes for their entire character arcs.
I'm getting sidetracked here. My point is, I shouldn't be enjoying a filler arc more than the main story. It's the same complaint I had after the Skypiea arc in One Piece: the writing for the subsequent filler arc* was much smoother and more natural than for the main plot. And for RWBY, the reason is pretty easy to see: what I hated most about the writing in Volumes 7 and 8 was the way characters were being forced towards plot points. In a filler arc, they didn't need to do that. This was a short, self-contained story with no far reaching consequences, so it was much easier to write around the characters instead of over them.
At this point, I just cannot say that the writing is good. Maybe it will change in Volume 10, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I do recommend watching hbomberguy's video on RWBY: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81fdKWOHrdE. He's much more eloquent than I am, and goes over way more stuff. But you have to promise that if you disagree with him, you won't leave hate in his comment section. You're welcome to turn off the video and move on with your life.
*I should clarify I am specifically referring to the Marine Base arc, NOT the Foxy arc. God I hate the Foxy arc.

…So…about RWBY Chibi Season 4…
So...is it true? It is really true?
I just want someone to confirm to me if this is true? This is news that I heard through the grapevine so I need this to be confirmed for sure. Is it true? Are we really getting the Chibi-verse back?
I’m asking because, if RWBY Chibi is returning then that could mean one thing---there’s a chance for us Pineheads to FINALLY get Chibi Oscar!
Tumblr media
Please someone confirm if this is true because it all sounds too good to be. I’ve been hoping for Chibi to come back since it’s strange disappearance years ago.
