RWBY Volume 5 Chapter 13 My Thoughts/Analysis

Spoilers for Chapter 13 under the cut!!!

Ruby: "Whatever it takes to shut you up." You tell him girl!

Was not even 3 minutes into it and my heart was already hurt by: Nora: "Aren't you worried about running out?" Jaune: "Pyrrha once told me I have a lot of it. I still believe her." MY FUCKIN HEART JUST DIED

Okay though, Ren being electrocuted like that and him screaming was terrifying.

Jaune: "You need to stay with me while the others fight." Weiss: "That's...annoying..." Jaune: "Heh, good to have you back, Weiss."

So Jaune stated that he wasn't healing her, but his aura was amplifying her aura to heal herself. So it's actually an aura boost!! YESSS Okay but what if this helped Weiss in the long run? I mean, her aura has been kinda shitty since the start. It didn't take much for her aura to break and leave her defenseless in previous fights. Maybe Jaune unknowingly pulled a Pyrrha and unlocked more of her aura? Weiss did say she felt much better after Jaune amplified her aura. Just a thought. Nora: "I don't need him to hurt. I just need 'em to GO DOWN." Nora beast mode activated! Yaass girl, you go! No body hurts Ren and gets away with it unscathed

Qrow's gonna need a chiropractor or something. No amount of aura, not even with Jaune's help, is gonna fix that rib damage.

Adam looks to Hazel: "What do we do?" Hazel: "This is your business, not mine. Fix it." Translation (not that it needs one): "Fuck you Adam this is your problem you started, you're on your own." Blake's voice when she speaks to Adam is gentle and soft. I think she was trying to keep him calm and not get him pissed off. Not that it worked but she tried.

Was anyone else expecting Adam's mask to come off, break, or in the very least crack?

Blake and Yang reunion disrupted by Ruby realizing, "Hey this makes a great distraction! Yang go stop your mom!" or could have been "don't you two start fighting, we don't have time for that shit. yang go somewhere else"

Yang keeping a level head and instead of fighting Merc she just pops her arm off like, "bye fuk boi take this" Also what did he do with it?? Did he just toss it off somewhere? I looked and couldn't find it on the screen anywhere.

Jaune looking so happy that Weiss is back up and fighting. Still makes me really sad that he doesn't think of himself as important. His mindset is "If they're alive that's all that matters." Maybe since he finally found his semblance, he'll see that he is important and that he matters. That he can help and save people. this could also regress him if he starts to think about if he had this before he might have been able to help Pyrrha or save her...just my personal headcanon that he'd become more depressed if he thought about it

 AN ACTUAL MAIDEN FIGHT. FINALLY.

okay but I don't think Cinder's dead dead. I just get the feeling she's gonna be back. But if she is dead, where'd the fall maiden powers go?! Who did they go to?! Did Raven get them?

 And damn the cliffhanger with Yang confronting Raven.

Headcanon for RWBY Relics

5x13 Spoilers alert

By the latest chapter, we finally saw what’s the relic looks like, and the place where relic was put, it was looked like no where good but possibly pretty dangerous .

And I’ve heard someone’s speculation about the next chapter, we saw the upcoming confrontation between Raven and Yang, and the speculation was when Raven tried to reach the relic, they would encounter some dangers and Raven would have no choice but gave up the relic to save her daughter and herself. And that gave me some thoughts.

What if the relics were actually nothing to do with good. Looking back to v4, Qrow said that whoever got all the relics, they could change the world. And Qrow was most positivily heard from Ozpin, the man who was infamous for half truth and lies. Maybe by the meaning of “change the world ”, was basically the destruction of the whole Remnent. The relics were some sort of ultimate powerful weapons or more possibly the supports of the very world, without them in places, the world would collapse and turn into a void. For more evidences, just look who wanted all the relics, Salem, who had been told that her main goal was to wipe out whole humanity (assuming that this is truly her intention ). If the relics meant the destruction of the world, what would be the perfect method for Salem to reach her goal besides getting all the relics?

So upon Raven retrieving the relic, a part of dimension’s starting to shatter, and Raven would get the picture of the relic, she couldn’t possess it, otherwise it would kill everyone around this place, including herself and her daughter. She put the relic back and portaled to her daughter, who was struggling with the extremely unsustainable surrounding, getting theirselves out of the danger. Raven would get further pissed by another Ozpin’s lie/half truth, and this would prove to Yang that her mom was right in the first place, burying a deep suspicion towards Ozpin down in her mind, or worse, destroying her remained faith for him. If RT did go this route, then the question is, would Yang stay, or she would choose her mom. Because in this plot line, the doubt in Yang’s mind would only have grown stronger, and Raven did offer a chance to Yang to stay with her, not to mention that Raven literally said her side/the tribe was where Yang belonged, so I can definitely see it coming if Yang choose her mom at the end, it would be just the matter of time. (I’m picturing this like Sasuke went to Orochimaru side, lol. )

That being said, I am rarely in the right guess when it comes to RWBY plots. Clearly, CRWBY have very different way of thinking from me, lol. However I’m still having a lot of fun to have headcanons for RWBY whatsoever .

I’ve heard that in 5x13 episode, the piano version of “Wings” was playing in the background at their reunion. I gave it a better listen and I must say, it pretty sounds like it. It would be amazing, because I believe the first time this song was used, it was from Yang’s perspective and now it may be from Blake’s.
