             he wakes up with a pounding head, groaning low as he comes back to consciousness. he feels like shit - he has no idea what happened, and he has a feeling it has something to do with whatever is going on at the back of his head, throbbing echoing around his skull. he sits up slowly, but find he can’t - he’s handcuffed to the biobed he lies on, and his eyes widen. “chekov, what in the hell is-” he stops when he realises something is wrong, his eyes narrowing. “...ensign?”

He was startled at first, jumping from the throes of the dream into wakefulness. The bright light of his quarters was nothing compared to the dark glow of the memory he’d been dreaming of, and the fact that he could move his hands, move at all, woke him up more than the initial start of being touched. He looked to the young Russian, taking in a deep breath before speaking. “Thank you. I... apologize if I made a ruckus.”
