“You know Scotty’s gonna be pissed when he see’s you drinking his alcohol right?” Came Jim’s voice outside the quiet and empty office of his best friend. The young blond was leaning against the open doorframe and smiling. Everything was for once going smoothly tonight in the ship so that meant he could come visit. “Got another glass?” Kirk asked as he pushed himself off the wall and strolled on in. 

McCoy damn near choked on his drink. “My god Jim, are you trying to give me a heart attack!” he spluttered once the coughing subsided, a hand on his chest. He had been too deep in his own thoughts to notice the Captain. Bones leaned back in his chair, looking to Jim with a raised eyebrow. “I only have an extra if you keep this from Scotty,” he answered as he dug into a cupboard by the desk for the glass.

 The younger giggled mischievously at the reaction he was able to pull out from his friend.  He put his hands up in mock surrender, his sly grin only growing in length. “Sorry, sorry. Didn’t mean to scare the shit out of you old man~” Jim teased with a playful wink. “Geeze, you act like you can’t hear me prancing about this place. What do Ii gotta wear a cat collar man? Little bell and all?” He joked before strolling over to sit on Bones desk. 

“Yeah, yeah. He won’t find out.”

 Jim chuckled like the five year old he was before nodding and snuggling close to the ever warm Doctor. “Yes.” He purred. “God damn Bones. You’re like an oven.”

“And you’re a fucking icebox,” he deadpanned before picking up his PADD. He did have some reports to get through after all. Somehow, he had a feeling Jim would try to sabotage his work again, but even if it had to get done in 5 minute increments, Bones was going to get this done.

 “Hey it’s not my fault this ship is colder than Space itself.” Jim huffed sleepily before pouting up to the brunette when he went back to fiddling with his work. He rolled his eyes in annoyance. “Seriously man? Do you have to do that right now?”

"Booones." Jim whined as he huddled up against the brunette who was obviously ignoring his childish antics by reading through his pad still. The blond, wanting his attention continuously bapped the Doctor on the shoulder like a needy kitten. "Boooones, c'moooon! I wand cuddles." The Captain of the Enterprise everyone.

Leonard groaned and tossed his PADD to the side. “For fuck’s sake, James,” he said exasperated. He sighed deeply before pulling Jim close. “Better?”

 “Oh shut up and eat your damn good eggs or I will for you hot stuff.” Jim snorted before taking a happy chuckle out of his own, humming happily as he did and all the while snuggling up close to the man he loved. Spending time besides him was all it took to make him feel happy.

 Jim shrugged. “I learned on the fly years ago how to. Just in case I y’know. Grew a pair of balls and got to actually cook for you one day.” He smiled proudly, glad his efforts didn’t go to waste. “And yeah, yeah. Geeze. Let me get myself a plate big guy.” With some effort, the blond grabbed some of his tasty looking food and came to sit besides his lover, humming at the taste of his creation. 

 “Don’t wanna toot my own horn or anything but damn I’m good at making shit~” He teased.

 Leonard snorted at Jim’s words but nonetheless tucked into the food right away. A near sexual moan escaped his lips as the bacon taste met his tastebuds. It had been so long since he had real, genuine food and damn did Jim know how to cook. “I had no idea you could cook like this, what the hell Jim, you’ve been holding back on me all these years.” The words, however; were said with a smile on his face. 

“Now c’mon I couldn’t possibly eat all of this on my own. You need to eat too, come join me.”

 Jim chuckled softly and kissed his lover back before setting the plate before the Doctor and sitting back on the couch nearest the bed with a sleepy yawn. “Yeah I bet. I don’t pull out the good shit unless for something special. Or someone~” The blond teased. 

“And you my love is the specialist.” He mused with a wink. “Eat up babe. All of it is yours.”

The two would stay that way the rest of the night, tangled together and buried close against one anothers warmth. When morning came however the young  Captain had awoken bright and early to fix his beloved a breakfast fir for a king. The young man was an early bird and for once he had a reason to cook instead if replicate. He only wanted the best for his lover. 

 Eggs, bacon and coffee now fully ready, along with a few blueberry muffins, he lent down to press a gentle kiss to Bones cheek, hoping to stir the elder out of his slumber. “G’morning babe. Made you a little somethin’.”

 He laughed breathlessly as Jim peppered his face with kisses. His arms automatically went around Jim’s body pulling him close. The doctor had waited way too long for him to not take advantage of every moment he had to hold Jim. Warmth spread through his entire body as he heard Jim’s whispered confession. Gently he kissed Jim’s hair with a smile on his lips. 

“I love you too Jimmy,” he murmured in reply. Leonard could immediately tell when Jim fell asleep as the younger man’s breathing got slower. He had to suppress the chuckle that was building in his chest as he thought of how quickly Jim fell asleep. For a moment he just laid in the bed contemplating how in the hell he got so lucky and the mystery as to why Jim would ever go for someone like him? 

But those thoughts were pushed away as Bones decided to just enjoy his time with Jim while he had it. Another soft kiss to Jim’s hair and the doctor settled down in the bed and allowed himself to sleep, with Jim in his arms.

 “Me ride the cowboy? S-Sounds fun~” The blond teased, nuzzling against the brunette with a low hum of satisfaction, his sweat dappled body entangling itself with Bones own happily.

   Leonard couldn’t help any of the noises that were escaping his lips, everything was on fire, the warm embrace of lust and satisfaction filling him as he was over come with desire, moaning out one last time before collapsing onto Jim, body covered in slickness, breath hot and heavy. “Fuck – “ 

Jim had come hard soon after, breathing heavily and gasping softly at the bliss that ran down his spine. He groaned weakly, his sweat dappled body pressed against Bones own, too tired to move and too lost in the clouds from his afterglow to think clearly still.

"Apart from being sexy, what do you do for a living?" Leonard leaned on the bar, his head lolling a little bit. Smirking at his friend.

 Jim chuckled softly at the brunettes flirting. Oh he was so adorable. “Is that how you got all the gents and ladies back home?” Kirk teased playfully.

 “We’re about to die and we both can’t just say the damn word...figured.” Jim snickered lightly but he knew already. Damn this world and whatever fate was coming for them...he had just gotten confirmation that Bones loved him and he could die a happy man right now knowing that at least. 

“And just because we’re about to die doesn't give you permission to use my whole goddamn name Leonard.” Jim grumbled.

 “Yeah, sounds like the best idea.” Jim mused, stretching with a yawn. The young Captain followed after his lover like a puppy would his master, flopping on top of  Bones and snuggling against his side with a soft chuckle. Kirk dappled the Doctor’s cheek in gentle kisses, humming in sweet content. He had waited almost a decade just for this...to have Bones as his and he in return belonging to the brunette. It was all he had ever wanted...

 “I love you Leo.” Jim whispered softly, burrowing as close as he could to the warm Georgian, missing his warmth and needing to be close to his heart...to hear it thumbing and know that this was real. That it wasn’t a dream. “I always have.” The blond murmured as his eyelids droops, closing blue orbs with a flutter of dark lashes. 

And with that the young  Captain was sound asleep.

 “You know, sometimes I really wonder how in the hell you certify as a genius.” He was jesting of course because Bones knew how smart Jim actually was especially as he was able to see the kid through his academics during the academy but also his decisions and actions as a Captain, diplomatically at least. 

Glancing over at the chronometer Bones considered Jim’s words. If it really was the hard liquor maybe it would be best if they didn’t. After all, they both had Alpha shift in the morning and it was getting so late that he couldn’t guarantee being hangover free in the morning. Humming in thought he responded his hand moving in a soothing motion up and down Jim’s side. “Hm, well maybe we should hold off for another time.” 

Leonard started towards the bed expecting Jim to follow. “I’m actually pretty tired, why don’t we just head to bed Jim.”
