If you could bring one person to AEW who would it be?
Kevin and sami. They're a package deal but I feel like whatever wwe is doing with them it just feels kinda watered down imo, Kevin especially has always suited himself to a more rougher style more bloody and wwe always feels like they're teasing it before they just, shift slightly to the left. And they've been fumbling sami for YEARS. The fucking conspiracy theory sami felt so weird on a re watch. Also thr whole mount Rushmere is in aew apart from Kevin and kenny said once he wants to wrestle generico however seems that Kenny doesn't know that he's raising orphans (because as we know Kenneth omega is a orphan hater) so sami is the next big deal. Also imagine the dream matches

Lutyens Reimagined: A Visit to Common Villa in Wimbledon
In 2024, Sir Edwin Lutyens visited 52 Ridgway, marveling at Gundry + Ducker’s “Common Villa.” This transformation of an early 2000s house into a “country house in miniature” features a new façade, porch, and infill extensions, creating rich, satisfying spaces inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement.
At the nearby Rushmere Public House, Lutyens reminisced about Robert Graves and praised the home’s blend of historical reverence and modern innovation. The brick façade, circular skylights, and elegant staircase seamlessly merge tradition and contemporary design, much like Graves’ storytelling.
Common Villa embodies a dialogue between past and present, an architectural narrative that both Lutyens and Graves would admire.

I’m a fan of graphic designer Tracy Rushmere, founder of the bright Shine Shine fabrics line. Here’s her wonderfully colorful home in Cape Town, S. Africa.
She combines a cheery unconventional mix of vintage, classic, modern and ethnic furniture in each of the rooms. Love the lime green and orange in the kitchen.
The whole house is nothing but exuberant color.
All of the bright fabrics are her own creation.
Her fabrics are nice enough to frame.
The red lounge is a place to punch some frustrations out.
Split picture of the red room and master bedroom.
This headboard is upholstered with her fabric, isn’t it colorful and fun?
Even the bathroom is a fun place. Love this house.

Echoes of Symbolism: Robert Graves OC and the Architectural Mysteries of Wimbledon
Residing in Wimbledon, one cannot ignore the impact of its notable resident, Robert Graves OC (1895-1985), and his creative legacy. I discovered Graves through his book *The White Goddess*, a tapestry of poetic and religious scholarship. In this work, Graves explores the ancient European deity, the White Goddess of Birth, Love, and Death, worshipped under many titles. He uncovers the mysterious power of "pure poetry" and its mythic language. His scholarship, rich in symbolism, has always been at our doorstep in Wimbledon.
Graves is also known for his war poetry. As an architect working in London and Berlin, I stumbled upon intriguing evidence: the Rushmere triangle, an equilateral grassland on Wimbledon Common with a small pond, is equivalent in scale and orientation to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp (1936-1945) in Oranienburg, near Berlin. This serves as a counterpoint to Graves' fusion of folklore, mythology, religion, and poetry—works of unparalleled originality and brilliance.
For an architect, this revelation has profoundly influenced my professional purpose. I approach it lightheartedly, seeking to view Wimbledon through the lens of Art Spiegelman's *MAUS*. I recognize the geometric significance of the equilateral triangle, a divine reference echoed by another Wimbledon resident: the Apostolic Nuncio, the Vatican City's diplomatic representative to Great Britain, residing on Parkside since 1938. This geometry plays a vital role in my drawings, inspiring commentary on perspectives.
Being an Old Carthusian certainly keeps one busy! Explore this intersection of history, art, and architecture with me.

Photographed on the 30th January 1975 as the Thames overflows its banks at Putney, a mounted policeman, PC Rushmer, rides on his horse Redwing through the flood, looking for people caught unawares. An exceptional tide, over 25 feet at London Bridge had been predicted, and was further swollen by heavy rain upstream.
On a personal note. My sister lives in a lovely flat overlooking the Thames at Putney, and on one rainy Saturday afternoon after a few gins and whilst peering through a rain speckled window, i'm sure I saw the Loch Ness Monster swimming majestically up the Thames. My sister pointed out that after a boozy night out, she once saw pigs flying over the houses of parliament...
Oh well, I'll have a top up please.....
