Momo: Well, I'm looking for a restaurant to have healthy but tasty lunch, you wouldn't have any recommendations, would you?

Tsumugi: In that case, there are a lot to choose from!

Tsumugi: For reference, can I ask what kind of atmosphere you're looking for?

Momo: Something that girls would like I guess? My sis and I planned to go buy a present for our parents' wedding anniversary, so we've been talking about getting lunch while we're at it!

Momo: She's been conscious of calories since her wedding's coming up and all, so she's looking for a healthy place to eat (; •`～ • ΄ )

Tsumugi: I see! Then, I shall gather a few restaurant recommendations where you won't risk getting recognised and send them to you!

Tsumugi: What gift do you plan to get for your parents?

Momo: Our parents are very close and like using matching things, so a couple outfit would be nice!( 。•_•。)人( 。•_•。) My sis and I have a few options in mind, but we mostly circle back to 'well, they already have that', so it's really difficult.

Tsumugi: Do you often go out with your sister?

Momo: It's been a while since the last time! Our schedules don't really match (;∀;) Though it doesn't feel like it, since we rabbitchat a lot! Yuki often tells me how nice it is that we're so close \(•΄ε`•)ノ

Tsumugi: Do you celebrate your parents' anniversary every year?

Momo: Momo-chan's the type who cherishes anniversaries after all ☆*:.｡.o(≧▽≦)o...:*☆ It'd be hard to get the whole family together without opportunities like these!

Momo: We have to give it our all since it's such an important day (。+•`ω•΄)stern✩

Tsumugi: I hope your parents like the present!

Tsumugi:

Momo: I'm also thinking of writing a letter this year, for the first time in a long while.

Tsumugi: Wow! That's nice!

Tsumugi: I remember that a long time ago, when I gave my father a "Thank you for everything" letter on Father's day, he was also really happy!

Momo: Parents will really treasure anything you give them when you're little, you know?

Momo:

Tsumugi: However, it seems that when he gets drunk at drinking parties, he talks about the letter even to this day, to the point where Banri-san can recite the contents by heart.. ＞＜

Tsumugi: Despite being embarrassing, it's nice knowing that they treasure them so much.

Momo says this in English (ヘルプミー!）which doesn't change much but I just thought it's adorable lol

Momo uses "sasuga"(as expected"). The "our" bit adds extra nuance, but all else sounded too stiff so i decided to go with it and just explain it here

Momo uses キリッ and テル next to the emoticons to describe the way they look/feel.

the part about ruri and momo's relationship that hurts me the most is that they both loved each other so much and yet that love is also what broke them both. it's the way ruri wanted to cheer her little brother on even if she felt sort of inferior to all his achievements. it's the way momo wanted to make his big sister happy. it's the way ruri didn't communicate her honest feelings and how momo was a oblivious and a bit insensitive. it's the way that when he revived re:vale, he really did seem to put himself in every place ruri loved. it's how ruri could have avoided it all if she had been more honest with her feelings. it's when momo told tsumugi that what hurts idols most is an overwhelming love and expectations they can't meet, that it's no one's fault, and how that parallels the way the sunohara siblings hurt each other out of love for something else but also for each other (thinking that his sister would be happy her beloved band was kept alive, staying quiet because she didn't want her little brother to be burdened by her envh) but it was no one's fault. it's -

Part 12 of Universe 1 of my Swap AU. Please read that post before progressing!

Nagi Sunohara - Popular, charming, and talented, it was impossible to guess where Nagi would end up in life aside from being successful. He was good looking, friendly, and talented with languages too, leaving some to speculate that he would be a diplomat or company representative, but all of those who knew him from when he was young also knew that his true talent was as a master of jujutsu, judo, and aikido. Nagi was slated to go to a national tournament for jujutsu at the end of his high school career as a representative of his region when he suffered a broken ankle that forced him to withdraw from the tournament at the last moment. A period of despair fell over Nagi at the loss of such a chance, and during his time in recovery, he mainly found joy in watching a random magical girl anime, Magical Girl Cocona, that one of the kids he met in the hospital recommended to him. Afterwards, however, when he was graduated and recovered and unsure of where to take his life when he'd been told he was good enough to qualify for the Olympics, it was his older sister Ruri that took him to see a show by the band Re:vale, with the handsome Banri and mysterious Yamato, at an underground venue. Just a local group with one really hot lead, Ruri kept telling him, but Nagi only agreed to go because she wouldn't stop bugging him about it. He even gave up two live-aired episodes of Cocona for this.

The venue was dark and crowded, and the band that took the stage was...nothing special. He could understand why Ruri thought Banri was hot, but they didn't really catch his eye in any special way. He'd probably forgone Cocona for nothing and would have to endure blocking his beloved show's tags online until he caught up. But then, the music began to play, and everything started to fall into place.

The performer to the side of Banri, an awkward man with thick glasses and his focus split evenly between the guitar in his hands and the people watching him, was filled with such love and passion that Nagi couldn't keep his eyes off of him. The music he made touched the depths of Nagi's soul—not from how it sounded or how the lyrics were written, but from the clear love put into every note. It was that same love that he experienced for Cocona; his light in the darkness. And, despite their lights being completely different things, Nagi knew that the mysterious man on stage got it. He understood.

Nagi decided to return again. The music was good, Ruri was happy, and he could watch a man living with pure passion at the height of his joy and excitement. Cocona could wait because in watching Yamato, he was reminded of what joy he felt when he had a direction to go in. He wanted to be like Yamato, find his passion in the world and hold onto it so tightly that nothing would break his grip.

More and more, he showed up to performances, and it was only so long before Banri and Yamato approached him directly. It was rare for them to see men in their crowd, they laughed, and Nagi stood out as a particularly handsome one too. Nagi thanked them for living with such honesty and passion, and as they talked more and more, their friendship became stronger too. Nagi liked Banri too, really, but he could tell that Banri's passion for performing was waning while Yamato's was only growing. It was uneven, and even if he tried to be fair, why would he look at a dark sky when the stars were there instead?

All was well, time progressed on, and Nagi found himself just as aimless as ever.

     I don’t want to call it a fight since it was rather one-sided, but rather after the falling out with his sister, Momo hasn’t really been in contact with her since then. Needless to say, he hasn’t quite spoken with his parents much either. The words she’d said to him then had hurt and cut deep, however he doesn’t hold this against her in the slightest. On the contrary, he can’t bring himself to hate or even dislike her. She’s his sister and he loves her even still. It only hurts that he feels he could never make it up to her.

          He never knew she had those issues or that she was struggling in that way. And in a way he feels like he failed as her brother— as her protector.

     Currently he has a lot of thoughts about her that only add to a few of his insecurities. He wonders if she still hates him or holds some kind of grudge against him. If he ruined Re:vale for her so much that she turns a blind eye to the duo now or threw out all her old merch and CDs. Did she get over it to be for him and proud of his achievements ? Or does it pain her to see him doing so well that it makes her grit her teeth and turn up her nose at them ? He feels awful and wishes he could make it up to her, but it doesn’t quite seem possible, and he’s extremely hesitant about getting back in contact with his family. After all, they’d kicked him out ( in a rather sugarcoated way ) and she didn’t so much as want to see him. So to him it’s better to stay in the dark rather than show up in her life again when he caused so much pain to her.

          And he secretly wants her approval the most.
