the entire 15 years later scenes was such a dream that was taken away too fast. when you finally calm down thinking all the issues are sorted and they're finally freaking together only for it to be snatched like that. ep 8, you're a wonder, you gave everything and took it all away

thinking about how when college student sunjae (the third timeline) decided to join eclipse onstage on their closing night at that one bar, it was to debut sudden shower/sonaki

the song he wrote

about sol

the song that crossed time and space and brought them together- getting him to start thinking she might not actually be 2009 sol

plus he clearly realised how important that song was to her, for whatever reason- singing it quietly to herself while drunk (singing his own words back to him!!!) as if it was her own comfort song

and the fact that he now gets to sing it to her, directly to her, instead of quietly writing down his feelings in the darkness of his own bedroom- while she stares back at him frozen with tears in her eyes (mirroring his own lol)

like he is actually singing the words “you are a gift from the sky. when you’re all alone in this world, i’ll protect you” knowing all the crap she’s been through to keep him safe- being alone in a world she wasn’t meant to be in (time travelling etc etc) while constantly risking her own life to make sure he ever gets involved with taxi man etc

idk man. it’s just the conscious decision he made to sing this very emotional and personal song. about the girl he loves. to the girl he loves. at that specific moment in time. (while also helping a friend and his band out lol)

(and also making sure sol doesn’t feel bad that he was no longer on his way to becoming a musician- cause he’ll still have this moment where he gets to perform their song onstage while she is in the crowd, cheering him on) !!!!!!!

it was yet another declaration of love on top of the “i’m okay if i die saving you”

it was yet another reassurance - we’ll be okay, it’s okay
