Explanation

Ruki

Canon: Yuriko loves Ruki, but their relationship is still budding and unbalanced. They both need to grow and heal so that they can truly lean on one another.

RP: Yuriko loves Ruki deeply. The couple is married and expecting their firstborn. They have had their ups and downs, but they have also found a rather good balance. (@ruki-mukami-dl)

Kou

Canon: Yuriko sees Kou as family, but she is a little afraid of him. She tries to keep him in a good mood.

RP: Yuriko sees Kou as family and has learned to deal with him a bit better. She knows that she can tell Ruki if Kou gives her too much hard time. (Rukiko RP.)

Yuma

Canon: Yuriko sees Yuma as family. She is a bit worried about him since she believes that Eve broke his heart. She trusts Yuma, but sometimes, his loud voice and rough speech scare her.

Canon: Yuriko knows that Shu is also in the third grade and that Eve has chosen him to be her Adam. She thinks Shu is lazy and isn't too fond of him but doesn't hate him either.

RP: Yuriko knows Shu is with Eve and has previous connection to Yuriko’s sister-in-law. She dislikes him slightly because he has been acting rudely. But at the same time, she wishes to get along with him and Eve. (Rukiko RP, @nalia-tsukino)

Reiji

Canon: Yuriko knows that Reiji is in the third grade, too.

RP: Yuriko knows Reiji from school and thinks he is a good student. But she also wants to keep her distance since Reiji bit her once at school. (@ask--reiji--sakamaki)

Ayato

Canon: Yuriko doesn't know much about Ayato, but she finds him a bit annoying.

RP: Ayato has attacked Yuriko once, scaring her badly. She didn’t know it back then, but when this happened, she was already pregnant with Ruki’s child. Because of the pregnancy, her fire didn’t work, and she couldn’t defence herself properly. The whole situation left her scared, and she doesn't want anything to do with Ayato anymore. (Rukiko RP.)

Laito

Canon: Laito has harassed Yuriko several times and finally even bit her. She fears and dislikes him highly and doesn't want anything to do with him.

RP: Laito dates Yuriko’s friend. Yuriko is a bit uncomfortable with him, but she manages. And she is happy that her friend has found someone to love. (The extended Mukami family RP, @mermaid--bride)

Kanato

Canon & RP: Yuriko knows that Kanato attends the same school as she. She finds him creepy.

Subaru

Canon: Yuriko knows that Subaru attends the same school as she. She thinks he is okay.

Shin

Canon: Yuriko sees Shin as her friend but doesn't know all about the Kitsune's complex relationship with the Founders. Also, Yuriko's best friend has a crush on Shin, and Yuriko believes that her friend has good taste. So, Shin is more than okay in her eyes, even though Ruki is uncomfortable with him.

Rukiko Anniversary, April 23rd

Rukiko is a DL RP ship that started in 2022 and is mostly based on private interactions with @ruki-mukami-dl (my dear bae, I love you so much). However, every now and then we post something on Tumblr too, and in 2023 Rukiko had their wedding. To celebrate Rukiko's anniversary we decided to make something special and held a magazine interview for our dear couple. Ruki and Yuriko answered them separately. Kaminashi Couples Interview

Our monthly peek into the city's love life reveals the secrets of the couples. This month, we interviewed the brother of top idol Mukami Kou and his wife. Enjoy this peek into the life of Mukami Ruki and Yuriko.

Mukami Ruki is a fresh face in the publishing industry, recently starting as the CEO of Kaminashi Modern Classics. Literature fans all over the city are excited to see how this change will affect the local publishing policies. But we here at the Hot Takes want to see behind the scenes. So, how is the love life of this peculiar man behind the bookshelves?

Facts

Name: Mukami Ruki Age: 20 Hot gossip: He used to be a student in Kaminashi University's literature department. Yet, even before the first year of his studies had ended, he had secured his position at the very top of a small but established and prized local publishing house.

The couple is living on the edge of the city. They renovated an old servant house that is said to be located near the household of our beloved idol.

Fangirls to be warned, the area is rumored to be heavily guarded, and we aren't encouraging anyone to try to find the exact location.

Name: Mukami Yuriko Age: 21 Hot gossip: She's Ruki's high school sweetheart and used to be a literature student as well. However, she is currently expecting the couple's firstborn who will be born in the next month.

As always, we made the couple answer the questions separately. Now, let's see if they agree or disagree.

Who was the one to propose?

Ruki: I made the marriage proposal on New Year's Eve. On that day, I felt nervous for the first time in my life. I really struggled to keep my composure and keep the surprise a secret until the very end. But Yuriko's reaction, her smile, and her shining eyes were worth the whirlpool of emotions.

Yuriko: Ruki did! I didn’t expect it at all. I was thinking that we were about to spend a regular New Year’s Eve but after dinner, Ruki brought me into the living room, which was decorated with beautiful lights, and lifted me on his lap. He… he said such meaningful things and then… then he asked me to marry him after we graduated from high school. Of course, I said yes, and last spring we had our wedding. Today is our wedding anniversary.

Who stressed more over wedding planning?

Ruki: That was me. Without a doubt. I just wanted this day to be perfect. I wanted nothing to get in the way and everything to run smoothly. I have to admit that a few unreliable people really got on my nerves a few times. It would have been best if I had just done everything myself…

Yuriko: I… umh… I think I should have stressed more over it. But I think Ruki actually did… He made sure we chose just the right dishes and that outfits matched after I had chosen mine. He did so much. I’m a bit ashamed for being so scattered about everything…

Who decorated the house?

Ruki: The two of us. When Yuriko moved into the Mukami manor, it was already completely decorated. Of course, I tried to take her wishes into account in our bedroom and later in the renovated library. However, that was not enough for me. So it was very important to me that we decorated the new house together. Our home should represent both of us and make us feel at homely.

Yuriko: Oh! I actually did… or more like, Ruki allowed me to pick most of the colors and so on. But… but… he and his brothers did the heavy lifting. I simply arranged some lighter things in our new house. But maybe I can do more later?

Who does the cooking?

Ruki: Usually me. But if I do not have time to cook because I am too busy with other things, Yuriko does it. Other than that, we often cook together. It is a nice way to spend time as a couple.

Yuriko: Ruki… He is much better at it than I am. But we do a lot of cooking together too. Sometimes I cook, especially if Ruki isn’t at home.

Who is more organized?

Ruki: Without a doubt me. Yuriko completes her tasks without much planning. And often, she spaces out. Then she completely forgets to do important things. I, on the other hand, have almost every minute of the day planned out and stay focused. I think Yuriko knows how important this is to me and she tries her best to keep up with my schedule and tasks. I appreciate this.

Yuriko: Umh… I’m not organized at all… but Ruki is very organized. That helps a lot!

Who initiates bedroom fun?

Ruki: We both initiate. That is all I want to say about that.

Yuriko: Ehhh?! What… what kind of question is this?! I… I… think… both of us…

Who suggested kids first?

Ruki: None of us did. It happened unplanned. But one thing is clear, we are planning the next child together.

Yuriko: Ahem… umh… well… Neither? I mean… I just forgot to take my contraception… umhhh…

Who’s more dominant?

Ruki: Me, of course. I am not only Yuriko's husband but also her master.

Yuriko: I think Ruki is.

Who’s the cuddler?

Ruki: I would say we both do. Physical proximity is very important to us. It is a way for us to show our love for each other. And I really enjoy her warmth…

Yuriko: Oh? Both of us, definitely. I just love to cuddle with Ruki while we are reading. And of course, at other times too.

What’s your favorite non-sexual activity?

Ruki: Reading. It does not matter whether we read a book together or each have our own. We really enjoy this way of spending time.

Yuriko: Reading! But I think Ruki enjoys cooking too. I mean… I’m not that eager to cook but I love spending time with Ruki, so making dinner together is pleasant. Still, reading together is my favorite.

Who comes home drunk at 3 am?

Ruki: Good grief... None of us, of course. Just what kind of question is that?

Yuriko: Umh… do some people do that? I can’t imagine either of us even being drunk…

Who kills the spiders?

Ruki: We do not kill spiders or bugs. But I am the one who catches them and takes them outside.

Yuriko: Huh? Spiders aren’t supposed to be killed. You should just simply pick them up with something and carry them out.

Who falls asleep first?

Ruki: Yuriko. She is a little sleepyhead. A cute one, of course. It is really unbelievable, but she is able to take a nap in very strange places. About sleeping at night... Generally, I am a bad sleeper. It takes me a while to fall asleep. Also… I like watching Yuriko sleep. That is why I try to stay awake longer than her.

Yuriko: Mostly me. But if I stroke Ruki’s hair gently, sometimes he might be the first to doze off.

The Kitsune Lore & Facts

This post was written together with @nalia-tsukino and @ruki-mukami-dl (vampire parts). It is a mix of actual kitsune legends, Diabolik Lovers' lore, and things we have come up with on our own. It is used as a base for Yuriko's canon story and both Rukiko and YuuNa RP stories. It is also the backstory both Nalia's admin and I use for our RPs on Tumblr. About Yuriko

Yuriko is a kitsune from her mother's side. Her parents sealed her kitsune side with blood magic combined with Vibora venom, and she didn’t know about her heritage until Mukami Ruki broke the seal by taking her blood regularly. But even before that, she dreamed about a mysterious forest and a white fox who was revealed to be her big brother, Yuuto.

The History of the Kitsune

The kitsune are divided into two races: Zenko (善狐) and Yako (野狐)

Both are of the same origin. The very first kitsune were created by the goddess Inari. They used to live in the Kitsune Realm, a parallel world alongside the Human World and the Demon World. With the increasing population, they divided into different paths, and the clans of the Zenko and Yako were born. After a civil war over land, the Zenko made a deal with Inari, promising to serve as her messengers, while the Yako allied with the Founders of the Demon World.

In the end, Zenko stayed in the Kitsune Realm, now called the Zenko Realm and the Yako ended up moving into the Demon World because they were promised land there.

However, kitsune blood turned out to be very delicious and even addictive for certain demons, which led later to conflict between the Yako and other demons. At this point, the Yako were so tangled up with demon politics and society that returning to the Human World didn't seem an option. They stayed and formed their own set rules they live by these days, too.

Being sometimes hunted by other demon races, the number of the Yako has grown smaller, stirring up deep hate, especially against the Vampires and the Vibora.

To make their situation better, Yako elders decided to grow the numbers by kidnapping Zenko maidens as brides for their males (the Yako have fewer females than males because females were hunted more). Some of the maidens were taken after they reached adulthood (18 years old) so that they could be married instantly and produce much-needed Yako offspring.

To avoid another war, the Zenko looked for a peaceful solution to protect their females. All portals connecting the Zenko Realm with the Human World got protection tied to Zenko's blood. Now, the Yako, humans, or other beings could no longer find the portals and enter the Zenko Realm. Only kitsune or half kitsune with Zenko blood were able to use the portals. However, Yako, humans, or other beings could pass the portal accompanied by a Zenko.

The Yako didn't give up and approached the Zenko females in the human cities and villages and kept kidnapping them.

Of course, the Zenko reacted to this and formed a kind of police. Their task was to monitor the portals connecting the Human World with the Demon World and follow the entering Yako. Since then, the kidnapping had stopped.

Every now and then young adult Yako sneaks into the Human World to have some fun, but this is tolerated by the Zenko.

The Kitsune Facts

The kitsune are intelligent beings with a long lifespan. If they live long enough, they can grow up to nine tails. A healthy kitsune can live for about 1000 years. Half kitsune don't get that old. They have a lifespan of about 600 years. Only with the attainment of the third tail they are recognized as adults by the elders.

Family relationships are important and above everything else. The family will decide the fate of its members and can heavily punish anyone who doesn't obey.

For the Yako, females are rarer than males. So, the Yako don't accept marriage between kitsune female and male from another species. Though there have been cases of human males unknowingly marrying a Yako female, who can be a devoted wife. If the human eventually discovers the kitsune's true nature, the Yako wife is usually forced to leave him. It is possible that the kitsune relatives come for the Yako wife and children. The Zenko, on the other hand, allow these types of marriages.

Due to the deal with goddess Inari, the Zenko take care of her shrines. The males serve as priests there. Each shrine has its own portal through which the priest can reach his house in the Zenko Realm where he lives either alone or with his family.

Most Zenko live in the Zenko Realm, but some live and work in the human world.

Houses in the Zenko realm aren't that big, sometimes even tiny, and built and furnished according to traditional Japanese style.

The kitsune's human form can vary but most of them have yellow eyes.

Humans and the kitsune can have children which are half kitsune. Most of them have yellow eyes but sometimes they can have their human parent's eye color too.

It is possible to seal the half kitsune's fox side with blood magic combined with Vibora's venom.

The Kitsune Fur Colors

Typical Zenko coloring is white and red (white being usually the main color), though sometimes other colors appear too.

Typical Yako coloring is yellowish or brownish, but orange-red isn't uncommon, even white appears every now and then but it's rare.

A white and blue combination is very rare for both.

Skills

High sense of smell — Kitsune's sense of smell is good and they can sometimes even smell the mood shifts of the other person. Most of them don't like using perfumes and such because those can be too strong for their sensitive noses.

High sense of hearing — Kitsune's sense of hearing is good, especially when they are in their fox form.

Faster healing — Kitsune blood allows them to heal faster than humans.

Higher pain tolerance — Kitsune can take more pain than humans.

Shapeshifting — Due to their human-like lifestyle the kitsune spend most of the time of their lives in their human form. All kitsune can change to their fox form after learning by will. It's also possible to bring out only individual body parts like fox ears or tails.

Kitsunebi, the foxfire — Young kitsune's fire doesn't burn. They love to play tricks with it. Older kitsune can turn their fire into burning form and are able to defend themselves with it if they are threatened. They can attack too, but the kitsune avoid fighting and they tend to use their fire to trick the opponent and search for an opportunity to escape. Each kitsune has a different fire color. The very first kitsune were able to change the color of their fire. Over centuries and due to the circulation, this feature was lost more and more. Only the heirs of the very first kitsune's bloodline own it. However, not every one of them who carries it is able to use it. Strong feelings and emotions are necessary triggers. With the altered flames, a kitsune is even able to kill vampires.

Dream walking — Some kitsune can walk into the dreams of others and if they meet another kitsune they can talk there. They can't talk with humans in their dreams but they can show up themselves. However, in a few rare cases, a kitsune can talk to another one or a human in their dream. For this, a very strong emotional bond between them is needed.

The In-between — Kitsune who are able to walk into dreams can create their own dream-like space. They can pull in relatives or other kitsune with which they have a strong bond. How the space looks depends on the said kitsune.

Illusions — After obtaining the third tail, kitsune can learn the skill to create illusions.

Note: Usually, half kitsune has weaker skills than full kitsune but even half kitsune's skills can grow stronger eventually.

Kitsune's Star Pearls (Hoshi no tama)

Glowing pearl which is believed to contain foxfire (kitsunebi) and part of the kitsune's soul.

Usually, the pearl stays within the kitsune and isn't in physical form but the older kitsune are able to separate the pearl from their bodies and carry it with them in their mouth or on their tail.

The pearl can be used to possess other creatures if the kitsune is able to fool them to swallow the pearl. In this case, kitsune's own body falls asleep while they operate through the possessed body.

In the past, there have been more cases of kitsune possessing humans or other supernatural beings but that gave them a bad reputation, and these days it's considered highly rude behavior, and there are kitsune who want even to make possessing others illegal.

Using the pearl has its risks too. If the other person doesn't swallow it but keeps it as their property, the kitsune is tied to that person until they get their pearl back or are able to trick the person to swallow it.

The Kitsune and Sexual Energy

Sometimes kitsune can be seen as a seductress/seducer and in a way, their characteristics remind vampires or succubi/incubi.

They gain energy through sexual contact but they can't live by just that and that way they are different from vampires who can survive with mere blood or succubi/incubi who feed themselves only by sexual energy.

Snatching energy from the sexual partner causes tingling, an enjoyable feeling that fills kitsune's body and mind, heightening the pleasure they get through intercourse or other sexual actions with the partner. It's mentally and spiritually refreshing but also causes growing stamina.

After a sexual encounter, the kitsune might feel more awake than usual and be unable to sleep hence the energy coursing in them.

This sensation can be intoxicating, making the kitsune yearn for more. Similar to alcohol, energy snatching can lead to addiction. However, this happens rather rarely, because the kitsune know the danger and are usually cautious.

The rougher the sex, the more energy is snatched because the intense friction and the stronger mental reaction of the partner cause more energy flow.

Kitsune might also form a romantic relationship and be highly devoted to their partner, wanting only the said partner's energy through sex. Being in love with someone ties them to that partner's energy much more intensively than casual sex with someone.

A sexual encounter with a kitsune isn't dangerous to the other party but can be more tiring than regular sex.

When having regular sexual encounters with a kitsune, a human needs to sleep a lot and eat healthily to regain the lost energy.

Kitsune don't gain energy from each other this way which is why they might be intrigued to seduce humans or other beings.

However, sexual encounters with vampires are different. While a kitsune snatches energy, the vampire gets it back by sucking blood. Both experiences heightened enjoyment but the energy balance stays the same as it was before.

In a sexual encounter of half kitsune, the energy balance remains unchanged. What one partner takes, the other gets back. In this case, both can enjoy their heightened pleasure but are exhausted afterward.

The Kitsune Mating Season

In general, Kitsune have a high sex drive.

Twice a year this is additionally increased. In spring from mid-April to mid-May and in summer around July is mating season due to their inner fox nature.

Due to mating season and fox features the chance to get pregnant is much higher in mid-April to mid-May and July than the rest of the year. Human origin is responsible for normal human chances of getting pregnant over the rest of the year.

During this time, it is difficult for a kitsune to concentrate on other things. Their thoughts are all about sexual encounters. Especially teenagers suffer because of a special season.

However, adults are better able to control their needs and instincts.

As humanity has evolved, so have the Kitsune. Nowadays, similar to humans, they use protection to avoid excessive offspring and unwanted pregnancies.

How to Reveal a Kitsune Who Is in a Human Form

Drunken kitsune can't necessarily keep their human form and might change into their fox form accidentally.

Other supernatural beings (like vampires) can smell kitsune's natural scent. This doesn't obviously force kitsune to change into their fox form but reveals their true nature nevertheless.

Some kitsune hate dogs and become even aggressive if there is a dog nearby, some can stand dogs better but are still a bit anxious. The kitsune might leave quickly when encountering a dog.

Trivia

Kitsune's skills are tied to their blood.

The blood is rich and thick if the kitsune is healthy.

If the kitsune is sick their blood quality lowers and it's hard for them to use their skills.

Kitsune blood tastes sweet for vampires and can be addictive and/or intoxicating.

If a vampire enjoys kitsune blood regularly their tolerance will grow and the blood doesn't have as strong an intoxicating effect as at first, though it still tastes sweet.

Founders find kitsune blood sweet too but, because they are stronger than vampires, the blood isn't addictive or intoxicating for them.

Vibora's venom can null kitsune's skills for a while. While the venom doesn't kill kitsune it makes them vulnerable because they are magical beings and not much of physical fighters.

The goddess Inari is able to create new kitsune by turning humans into either full kitsune or half kitsune. These belong to Zenko due to the deal.

HIS VERY OWN

Ruki was very happy that his new prey turned out to be the new classmate. This fact made the game easier for him, giving him more control over it.

Curious as to what the reasons were for Yuriko's change of school, he snuck into the secretary's office after class and searched for her school record. When he read that she was repeating the third year, an idea came to his mind. Immediately he made his way to the teacher and involved her in chitchat. Sneakily, he planted his idea in the teacher's mind and made it seem like it was her idea.

The next day, the teacher talked to Yuriko and made her understand that tutoring would help her catch up faster in class. Without knowing who her tutor would be, Yuriko accepted the teacher's suggestion.

Happy with the successful move on his chessboard, Ruki waited in the hallway for Yuriko to tell her that he would be her tutor. But as the young woman approached something unexpected happened. Suddenly Ruki's throat tightened he had to fight against his vampiric desire. Thanks to his excellent self-control, he did not fall upon her like a wild animal.

Grinning, Ruki told Yuriko that he would be her tutor. Yuriko did not like this at all, but she tried not to let it show. Without paying much attention to the young woman, the vampire ordered her to come to the library after class for tutoring.

It did not help and Yuriko decided to make the best out of the situation and hoped for a new start. Shaky and with a pounding heart, the young woman headed to the school library after classes. Politely, she apologized again for yesterday's incident and thanked him for his willingness to help her. Pointing out Yuriko's stammering, Ruki ignored her words and sat down. Patiently, he waited until she was ready and focused on the tutoring for now.

Yuriko's admin (@yuriko-mukami) and I (@ruki-mukami-dl) have been writing Yuriko's and Ruki's story since January 2022. Due to the roleplay writing style and the enormous length/word count, we decided to keep the original writing private. However, we wanted to give you an insight into Rukiko's world and will now gradually post summaries of His Very Own. We are still continuing the story and hope that we can do this for a long time. Rukiko Changes — Before and After

This post is written together with @yuriko-tsukino-rp's admin.

We got inspired by @mukami-kuron-mrsadisticcat's and @mukami-kou-dazzlingpinkidol's post.

Ruki

Stubbornness

Ruki is damn stubborn when it comes to his ideals and judgments about certain things, especially when it concerns his human life before the turning and his benefactor Karlheinz. However, Yuriko is able to break through his stubbornness and makes him reconsider his views.

Cold-hearted

Cold-hearted and merciless, Ruki shows no empathy for humans. He sees them merely as livestock, a source of food for survival and an occupation to kill some boredom. Yuriko slowly melted that iceberg and drove away some of that coldness. She alone gets to feel his warmth. Towards others, he is still acting cold-hearted.

Composure

Ruki is a calm and collected man. He keeps his composure in almost every situation. His expression seems cold and he doesn't raise his voice. Something heavy has to happen before he gets out of his shell. But when it comes to Yuriko his coolness can disappear very quickly. Jealousy, bloodthirst and also lust are triggers that make him go berserk. He can lose control and shows a completely different side of himself. Of course, he would never hurt or even kill Yuriko. But in the face of potential threats like other men he doesn't hold back. Out of jealousy Ruki is ready to murder for Yuriko.

Punishments

His whole life, Ruki punished people who, in his opinion, had done something wrong. Already in his childhood, he was excessively strict with his servants. As a vampire, however, his punishments reached a new level. Brutal and merciless he let his prey suffer. Yuriko also got to feel this. But Ruki soon realized that he wasn't teaching Yuriko with his punishments, but scared her and driving her away from him. Afraid that one day he would go too far and lose Yuriko, he stopped his sadistic actions towards her. Nowadays, Yuriko has to do more household chores when Ruki thinks punishment is in order.

Jealousy

In the beginning of the relationship, Ruki was overcome with jealousy. So much that he even killed someone once. He punished Yuriko for just looking at pictures of other men. Little by little Ruki learned to live with his jealousy and to deal with it. By now he is able to think before he acts.

Killing

In the past, Ruki wasn't afraid to torture and kill. But with Yuriko's appearance this changed. However, not because his conviction changed in this regard, but because Yuriko asked him not to kill anyone anymore. Afraid of losing Yuriko because of the murders, he stopped and spared the lives of his enemies.

Scars

Ruki doesn't want anyone to touch his scars, neither is he willing to talk about them. But since Yuriko stated she would like to hear the story and wanted to caress his backside too, Ruki reluctantly agreed to this. The moment was both uncomfortable and soothing for him at the same time. He still prefers Yuriko to touch him in other ways but she is the only one who is now allowed to run her fingers over his scars too.

Leaving comfort zone

Ruki is usually reluctant to try out something new, unless it's a potentially tasty recipe. But with Yuriko, he has found himself doing things he never imagined of doing. As allowing Yuriko to touch his scars shows, Ruki has slowly started to be more willing to leave his comfort zone for her every now and then. He doesn't do that without reasoning though.

Trust

Abandoned by his father and mother, betrayed by people and treated badly, Ruki lost his trust in humanity, especially in women. Initially, Ruki saw Yuriko acting as a kind of threat and sometimes reacted very indignantly. But Yuriko didn't give up and continued to fight. Slowly, piece by piece, she gained Ruki's trust. She stayed by his side no matter what he said or did. Ruki appreciated this fact very much, opened up to her and became much calmer about betrayal. Meanwhile, Yuriko has become the person Ruki trusts the most and he returns the same to her without hesitation.

Nightmares

Before Ruki shared the bed with Yuriko, his sleep was regularly plagued by bad nightmares. But since her warm body lies next to him, the nightmares have almost completely disappeared. Very rarely now, his nightly rest is disturbed by these bad dreams. At first, Ruki was very uncomfortable when Yuriko realized he was having a nightmare. He didn't want her to see him so weak. Without saying another word, he retreated to the bathroom and tried to calm down there again. However, Yuriko wanted to be there for him and decided to follow him one day. Of course he reacted rudely, scolding her and threatening punishment. Yuriko ignored his behavior and comforted him anyway. Her soothing words helped him to calm down. Gradually, Ruki understood better and better that there was no reason to hide from her because of his nightmares. Nowadays, he even wakes her up and asks for her comfort.

Softness

Ruki is a sadistic, dominant vampire who shows no mercy. To achieve his goal he plays dirty. Hard punishments are ruthlessly carried out. But when he met Yuriko, this changed. So much that his brothers even tease him about how soft he has become. Yuriko literally pulled out his fangs in their eyes. Yet, jealousy can make his softness disappear in no time.

Spoiled

Ruki is used to do everything alone. He is the big brother who looks after everyone and handles everything. So he now also takes care of Yuriko. What he didn't expect was that Yuriko would take care of him in the same way. This fact was new to him and gave him tense times every now and then. But in the meantime he has gotten used to it and even lets Yuriko spoil him.

Wishes

Ruki always tried to please everyone. He fulfilled the wishes of his benefactor, those of his brothers and now Yuriko's as well. Over it he forgot completely his own needs. He sacrificed himself for others without paying attention to himself. Yuriko tried to change this slowly and asked for Ruki's wishes. But she got the same answer every time. "Just stay by my side. I don't need anything else. I only need you." Yuriko explained to him over and over again that it was okay for him to express what he wanted. Gradually, Ruki understood the meaning of her words and now tries to express his wishes to her.

Making Friends

Ruki is very possessive. Yuriko belongs to him and him alone. It bothered him a lot when she tried to make new friends. He just couldn't understand why she did that. Often the two argued and Ruki told Yuriko that she didn't need anyone else but him. It took some time for Ruki to realize that Yuriko felt lonely and that friends aren't a threat. Today Yuriko has friends that Ruki accepts. Every now and then, however, some jealousy arises. But together with Yuriko he works on it.

Yuriko

Shyness

Yuriko used to be really shy and insecure before she met Ruki. While she still has these traits she also has become more bold and outspoken. Not just with Ruki but other people as well, especially the Mukami family.

Fighting Back

Yuriko didn't have the guts to stand up for herself and she simply took everything, hiding her feelings the best she could. Even though she still does this at times, she has grown the courage to disagree with Ruki and even talking back and fighting with him if needed.

Trust

Because of her experience of people leaving her, Yuriko had trust issues. These aren't completely gone but she has learned to trust more and more. She doesn't fear (that much) of Ruki leaving her anymore and she says she trusts him with all her heart.

Spoiled

When Yuriko was living with her father she was used to not getting anything for herself. The little money she had she saved to buy second hand books and sometimes other nice things. Now, she can have the clothes she likes and eat someone else's (Ruki's) cooking. Aside from that Ruki takes very good care of her, making sure she has everything she needs and yearns.

Wishes

Since Yuriko was used to not getting anything for herself she wasn't comfortable voicing out her wishes. Ruki asking them confused her but since Ruki kept going, she has learned that her wishes matter. And not only that, she now knows that telling Ruki she wishes something makes him consider his actions and might even change the course of the conversation. She sometimes uses this to her advantage.

Making Friends

Slowly Yuriko has been making friends. While Ruki would love to keep her all for him, she is happy to do things with her friends and this little freedom has only made her love Ruki even more.

Horniness and Sex Drive

Ruki was a master of self-control. Whether sucking blood or craving sex, he kept his composure and restrained himself. Only every now and then he had a need for blood and sex. With Yuriko, however, this changed very quickly. For some unknown reason, Ruki is horny for Yuriko 24/7. One touch of her is enough and he is literally on fire. Since the two are together, he sees no reason to hold back and lives out his sexual urges to the fullest.

Dominance

A dominant master who always has everything under control. Being on top is Ruki's preference. He enjoys submissiveness and begging. However, together with Yuriko, he discovered something new that he liked. Yuriko on his lap, riding him. In this intimate moment he is ready to give up some control and lets her do what she wants. However, in order not to give the wrong impression, he is very careful to make it clear that he is the master here as well. Whether words or a teasing jacking up, Ruki shows Yuriko the limits.

This is based on the Rukiko RP story His Very Own and @ruki-mukami-dl's portrayal of Ruki in it.

💙 Yuriko is more trusting, but Ruki has grown a lot during their relationship and starting to trust a bit more than he used to.

💙 They are both highly jealous but show it in different ways. Ruki is more open about his feelings and doesn't hesitate to face the potential threat and claim Yuriko again. Yuriko's signs are more subtle, but she her soft ways to claim Ruki as her own and show him that she's the one he should have eyes. Though, in fact, they don't really give each other true reasons to be jealous... but due to their trauma, they still see threats around them sometimes.

💙 Both are horny and have a high sex drive, but Yuriko's kitsune nature grows her yearnings even more, especially when it's time for kitsune mating season.

💙 They are clingy and spend most of their time together.

💙 Neither of them wanted to fall for the other, yet it happened before they knew it. For Ruki, probably even faster, though, he was slower to realize it. Yuriko had a vague clue about her feelings, but she kept denying them.

💙 Ruki is tidier and does most of the cooking, but Yuriko helps around the kitchen and in the manor. But often, she doesn't fold her clothes and simply pushes them into the closet. This irks Ruki a bit, and Yuriko tries to do better, but she easily forgets. Many times, Ruki makes sure her clothes are folded again.

💙 Ruki is a planner and tries to think everything through reason while Yuriko leans on her heart more. Yet, deep down, Ruki has a big heart, and that guides him a lot more than he is willing to admit. Then again, Yuriko can be surprisingly good at reasoning if she puts her mind to it.

This ask was answered together with @ruki-mukami-dl

Ruki has noticed how much Yuriko has changed during their relationship. He loves the fact that she is able to tell her wishes now and also show her fiery side.

Unfortunately, this can cause trouble too. One time, Yuriko was ready to burn Karlheinz for what he had done to Ruki. She didn’t think about her own safety at all and put herself in terrible danger.

Now, Ruki knows that Yuriko can react like that if someone treathens or offends her loved ones, and he is highly displeased of that. He doesn't want to lose Yuriko no matter what.

Yuriko doesn't like how stubborn Ruki is at times. It's difficult to make him change his mind if he has decided something and sometimes he tries to solve everything on his own, not always using the best methods either (for example, dealing with the flirty waiter turned out rather bloody).

However, Yuriko uses soft ways to affect Ruki... and she can be very determined with that now as she has gained more self-confidence in their relationship. Still, she fears that there is always a chance that something pushes Ruki to use his old methods dealing with problems.

Are you sure Ruki is ISTJ ? Because I thought he is INTJ .

First, I assume you are referring to this ask about the Rukiko ship I have for Yuriko with @ruki-mukami-dl.

Secondly, we are talking about a fictional character created by Rejet. As far as I know, Rejet hasn't revealed canon personality types for Diaboys or Yui, so there is no "canon truth" about this matter. There are only fan interpretations based on facts we know from the canon.

So, you can interpret that Ruki is INTJ if you feel that sounds more correct, based on the things we know about him. Many people in this fandom seem to come to this conclusion (or they just checked which type people have voted for him in the Personality Database).

But I'm sure the Ruki Yuriko is engaged with is an ISTJ. That Ruki is @ruki-mukami-dl and his admin took several personality tests, answering them based on canon facts. ISTJ was always the result, so both of us go by this. For us, Ruki is ISTJ, and I used this for the ask answer too.

As I said, you can interpret otherwise or take a test for Ruki yourself. As long as there isn't a canon fact for the matter, everyone is free to make their own assumptions.

Rukiko Timeline

First Year

💙 Ruki took a fast interest in Yuriko's blood and bit her only after a few days she had transferred to the Ryoutei Academy.

💙 Ruki also made sure that they had to do schoolwork together to keep Yuriko close.

💙 Other than blood, the two were drawn together by their shared interest in literature.

💙 Ruki asked Yuriko to a book meeting during the weekend to spend more time with her. That ended with a disaster caused by his jealousy over a flirty waiter's behavior. In his unsteady state of mind, he took a bit too much of Yuriko's blood.

💙 Ruki's lust for Yuriko's blood caused them a lot of trouble and the other Mukamis weren't pleased with Ruki's sudden and reckless behavior.

💙 Kou was probably the first to realize that it was more than just intoxicating blood that made Ruki act uncommonly mindless. Still, he had to give hints to Ruki more than once before the reality hit the eldest Mukami.

💙 After realizing his feelings and hearing the mutual love confession from Yuriko, Ruki didn't waste time to make her officially his. She expressed rather clearly she hoped that to happen too.

💙 Since Ruki had taken Yuriko's blood regularly the seal in her blood had been growing weaker and weaker. Soon, her Kitsune traits started to surface.

💙 After that, it didn’t take long for Yuriko to move into the manor and she has been living with the Mukamis ever since.

💙 After Yuriko had moved in, Ruki took her to another cafe date. Yet that led to jealousy as a waiter flirted with her. His jealousy caused a tragic accident. However, Yuriko decided to stay with Ruki.

💙 Yuriko's father didn't simply accept his daughter's decision and arranged for vampire hunters to come after Ruki. This was the final thing that made Yuriko cut off the man from her life completely.

💙 After that, Ruki and the other Mukamis helped Yuriko to save her brother from the Demon World where he had been held captive for years.

💙 Later, the couple learned new things about Yuriko's Kitsune background and discovered her relatives who became part of their lives too.

💙 At the end of the year, Ruki proposed to Yuriko, promising to marry her after they had graduated from high school.

Second Year

💙 They graduated in the spring of 2023 and started their university studies at Kaminashi University. Both are studying literature.

💙 The couple married on their anniversary on April 23rd, 2023. Both families, relatives, and friends attended the wedding but Yuriko's father wasn't invited.

💙 They continued their university studies in the autumn. Everything went mostly well, but they had a minor jealousy incident during the semester. However, this time they were able to settle it a bit more peacefully.

💙 In late autumn, Sakamaki Ayato attacked Yuriko when Ruki was visiting Eden. Ruki's familiars contacted Ruki who arrived at the scene in time.

💙 After the incident with Ayato, Yuriko became even more scattered than usual. A bit later, the couple found out she had become pregnant with Ruki's child.

💙 During Christmas break from the university, Ruki and Yuriko traveled to Romania and visited a local Christmas market because Yuriko wanted to see European traditions. They spend a few days there, enjoying their alone time.

How about... 🤔 The two were invited by Karlheinz to a ball and are getting ready for it together. Yuriko helps Ruki to tie his tie. And then they practice a few dance steps in their room as the moonlight shines on them. 🥺🙏🏻))

Here is the dress. I’m ashamed to admit that I used a good amount of this day only to choose it… 🙈 I do hope that Ruki is satisfied with the choice.

Getting Ready Together

Moonlight painted the front yard of the Mukami manor with silvery tones as Yuriko squeezed the window frame slightly, her heart bouncing toward her throat as the fact started to sink in. Was she truly ready for this?

The invitation arrived a couple of weeks ago. Seeing a bat familiar carrying a letter wasn’t anything big these days, more like it always reminded Yuriko of the first letter Ruki had sent her. That too had made her heart skip a beat but for a very different reason. Back then she had been flustered; now her body was made of tingling nerves.

This was Karlheinz. The vampire king who Yuriko had met once before. A beautiful yet intimidating man; there was something scary in his aura and scent. He made the alarm bells in Yuriko’s mind ring loudly. Yet she knew that this man was a very important person for Ruki, and Yuriko was grateful to him too. Without Karlheinz, she couldn’t have met the love of her life. No matter how afraid of the man she was, she respected him at least for that fact.

And that meant Yuriko shouldn’t fail tonight. She had to be on her best, stand on Ruki’s side, and…show that she was worth being there.

“Umh… of course… I’m nervous. I… I want everything to go smoothly…”

I don’t want to ruin this for you. I want Karlheinz-sama to see that I’m suitable to be with you…

But those words never left Yuriko’s mouth. She felt cold fingers on her bare shoulders. They sent shivers through her and covered her with goosebumps for a moment before she turned around and met a concerned steel-blue gaze that measured her from head to toe.

Suddenly Yuriko was painfully aware that she hadn’t worn this kind of dress before. It felt so official. The wide and light hem was tickling her ankles, almost touching her toes, making her wonder if she truly could dance in it without stumbling on her own feet. Or Ruki’s. That would be so embarrassing!

Ruki took his time fixing the straps of the dress carefully, his fingers passing over the slightly faded bite marks on Yuriko’s shoulders. The mere thought that everyone could see those made her cheeks burn but maybe the eyes wouldn’t be fixated on her skin when she was wearing something this beautiful. The light blue color of the dress went perfectly together with the sky-blue tips of her hair and the leaf ornament of the top part made her think about a dream forest.

“Umh… beautiful...? Really?”

Ruki’s compliment only made Yuriko’s cheeks flare even more. She shifted a little, pondering how she could pull through tonight.

Okay, focus… focus… It’s not that difficult. You don’t need to talk much. Just stay with Ruki and keep your distance from other vampires. Smile a lot and let him lead while dancing. That’s it.

Glancing at Ruki, Yuriko couldn’t hide her smile. He looked good, as usual, but seeing him in a suit still caused a tiny jolt in her. When he leaned in for pecking her lips, her fingertips ached to grab the collar of his blazer and press herself closer for a deeper kiss, the kind that would swipe feed under them both… but Yuriko knew that this was not a time for such a kiss, so she simply sighed and sniffed slightly, bathing for a moment in the pleasant musky scent that surrounded her.

“You are… umh… still missing your tie,” Yuriko noticed, tugging the collar of Ruki’s shirt hastily. She hoped it wasn’t too obvious that she waited for the moment they could get back home more than the ball itself. “Yes… yes, Master. I can help you with it.”

Fingers quivering, Yuriko took the black tie. She stepped closer to Ruki again. Lifting his collar a little, she placed the tie and measured it carefully before starting to tie it. The musky scent if Ruki's was a bit stronger in her nose, luring her in but she did her best to resist its calling. Now wasn’t the time to get distracted. Focusing as well as she could, her small fingers worked, fastening the tie for Ruki. When she was ready, he put his hand on hers, and slowly they pushed the knot a bit further up together.

Somehow the way he uses his school uniform’s tie intrigues me more… but this looks good too. So formal…

“I… I… fear that I misstep or something like that. I know we practiced dancing but it still isn’t my strong suit… and there are so many people there and I’m nothing —”

A finger sealed shivering lips. Ruki leaned in, his mouth brushing Yuriko’s earlobe as he whispered directly into her ear, the tone of his voice making her tremble inside. Tiny waves sailed through her body as the words embraced her.

“You… you would review the steps with me…?”

As soon as the sentence left Yuriko’s lips, Ruki enveloped his arm around her waist, taking her left hand into his right one in the dim bedroom. Swallowing, Yuriko lifted her right arm, placing her hand on Ruki’s shoulder.

The steel-blue eyes caught the teal ones, hand holding another ever-so-gently as Ruki took the first step. Yuriko gasped but her feet followed instinctively. The swaying movement took over; it was surprisingly easy simply to let Ruki lead, surrender to the rhythm, and drown in his eyes while doing so as if there wasn’t anything else in the world than they and this moment.

Ruki guided them near the window, slightly bending Yuriko backward. The moonlight brushed her face as he swayed her back up into his embrace. Bluish silver washed over everything when cold hands suddenly cupped her cheeks and tender lips conquered hers.

“Umh… yes, I think I’m ready…” Yuriko whispered against Ruki’s mouth. But I’ll look forward to the moment you bring me back to this room and I can have you all for myself…

(( I hope you liked this... I really don't know how well I was able to write it... but now my only regret is that I don't have a drawing of them dancing in the moonlight. They would look so good!

(( Amazing people around me. I have made very good friends through this RPC and I met my bae. The fact makes me happy every day.

But I could add that there are very many happy moments. The fact that I made a blog for Yuriko is making me very happy because of that I became part of this community and have met many nice people. My heart feels full when I think about this ❤️

(( I'm sorry but I'm not comfortable answering this question. That moment left so deep wounds that I only talk about it with my closest people.

🎁 — what have you accomplished in the rpc that you’re proud of?

(( Hmm... probably Rukiko RP story with @ask-ruki-mukami. The main story is far from finished but it's currently ~60 000 words and then we have all the side stories on Tumblr and Discord... probably 10 000 more words at least. It's going to be huge.

🫂 — how many friends are in your irl friend group(s)?

(( Hmm... I think that varies depending on the group. I would say I know many people because of my work and many of them could be seen as friends. But I have very few close ones... 3-4 pretty close and only one very close at the moment.

(( Hang around, drink tea or coffee and talk about gaming and writing. Well, about books and our daily lives too. Sometimes we go book shopping or to anime-related events.

(( Reading, gaming and writing... Yes, I'm a boring person 😅
