Ein paar Impressionen von gestrigen Wanderung. Gestartet sich wir am Hotel in #Oberbeuren und das Ziel war die #BergwangAlpe in #Ruderatshofen. Je Strecke waren es rund 7.5Km mit diversen Steigungen und Gefällen und wechselnden Untergründen. 27th August, 2019: Travelling Home

Early porridge after reasonable night’s sleep. Walk around village and then into KB for train. Late arriving but connection delayed so we arrived almost on schedule. However security scare has caused lots cancellations and we sit on tarmac waiting for plane to be given green light. Despite Pete not coming we had lovely holiday in Regensburg and Ruderatshofen in perfect weather. The amazing 3T result icing on cake. We’ve also managed to restrict food intake to a good degree.

Ever since our mother died in 1991, her three children have met up in her memory. After Liz’s husband Martin died recently Pete and I, this time with Carolyn added, travelled out to see her in her home near Munich.

C and I arrived in Birmingham last night to discover she had booked the airport hotel for the night before, (to be fair, the first time ever she has made such a mistake) requiring us to thrash around nervously until we found an alternative (and as it turned out much cheaper) hotel.

We managed about four hours sleep in the Holiday Inn before making it to the airport for our 7.30am flight to Munich. Still half asleep we met up with Pete and took possession of a magnificent Mercedes for him to drive and C to navigate  the 90 odd minutes to Ruderatshofen in Bavaria where we were welcomed by Liz and her ancient Labrador, Lucy. Weather record breaking hot in Blighty when we left: slightly cooler and greener in Germany when we arrived.
