Tommy and these relationships are what made the show one of the best shows there is, that you even repeat over and over again, from the beginning to the end, and you watch it with the same emotion.

Grace, Polly, Arthur, John and Ada are the people who made Tommy one of the most interesting and deep characters there is. Because his relationship with them is what makes him Tommy, being Tommy and what gives depth and development to his character.

And of course also Cillian fucking Murphy, his performance and his truth in playing Tommy is what makes him one of the best characters that exists, in film and television.

Also the relationship he has with his children, but sadly the show was not interested in showing his relationship with them, he barely spent time with them. It would have been nice if they had developed Tommy's relationship with his children.
