Ok y'all, imagine a modern AU for RRR. What profession suits our main characters? Idk about ram tbh, I'm not as invested in him as I'm invested in Bheem.

As we'll think at first glance that he'd be doing some Hard and rugged job, considering his body

Cuz look, this guy(in the movie) , makes a cure, for a snake, that was said to be incurable by a member of his OWN tribe and ram? He fine-

Yes, this might seem that ram has some good GOOD healing system, I agree. But it's good doesn't mean that it'll be able to cure some incurable venom????!!!!!

And yes, lacchu might even have been lying about the- "dead within one hour" part, but looking at the sheer expression of shock and dread filling bheem's face says otherwise.

So yes,bheem whips out some good aa leaves and makes a paste, boom 💥 wound is gone

And like- even better if he's like a pediatrician. I'm sure he gives the best hugs and kids will absolutely love and trust him for sure. And + point, he'd be also very good at consoling the family of patients yk, considering he looks like a big big empath

But imagine, ram, a detective or some kinda police officer, gets wounded and taken to the hospital where bheem takes care of him.

It's friendship at first sight y'all unfortunately

Then the usual-

"Bhaiya how the hell do you get wounded so much ಠ⁠︵⁠ಠ" while tenderly caring for them wounds and ram just watched him with a smile on his face he doesn't realise is there.

Then suddenly ram realises what he's doing

Getting wounded on purpose just to meet Bheem

This is not healthy (both ways)

So ya, plot develops and 💥

after ceras' movie stream she went to izumi's room to ask how she did. also izumi might put wasabi in ceras' onigiri for real next time. but she got sidetracked from the real point of this with×meets, to talk about her observations of the club members, as her hobby is observing people

hinoshita kaho-senpai - what she associates with kaho-senpai is her smile. she also has the drive to jump into new places and meet new people without hesitation, so she has the qualities of a leader. izumi thinks she has her own worldview because she assigned the other members fantasy characters, and that she'd suit being a creator

murano sayaka-senpai - izumi thinks she's serious, patient, and has a kind aura. she's like everyone's mom. she can be inflexible or stubborn, but izumi thinks of it as strength to not give up, and that while she could survive on her own, she knows she's stronger with others

oosawa rurino-senpai - she's the senpai that watches over them all the most. being able to pay attention to so much gives her many perspectives. izumi thinks she's not only kind but also clever, and would like to hear her speak english! she has a different kind of brightness to kaho-senpai's sun

momose ginko-san - izumi thinks she's very serious, but in a different way to sayaka-senpai. sayaka-senpai is like a teacher while ginko-san is more approachable like a class representative. that comes through in all the lovely outfits she makes. she's also teased a lot by those around her, perhaps because of her seriousness, and is a great tsukkomi, so izumi thinks she'd be a good comedian. ceras loves (teasing) her

kachimachi kosuzu-san - kosuzu-san is so full of energy, and just seeing her makes you smile. she embodies the power of school idols. izumi thinks the way she keeps challenging herself is inspiring. if "working hard" were a talent, kosuzu-san would have it. she thinks she could do anything, and that her doing her best inspires more people than she realises

anyouji hime-chan - izumi calls her "hime-chan" as she calls her "izumin." she thinks she's the member of the club she can't let her guard down the most around, in a good way, as she's just as good at observing others as izumi is. at the game event the other day, izumi noticed how she can liven up her surroundings and herself with the things she likes. hime-chan is a lovely charming girl in herself too

ceras yanagida lilienfeld - izumi has spent a year with ceras at mizukawa, so she didn't think there was much point in observing her for this. she was going to end without talking about her, but chat convinced her to keep going. plus, what might ceras say to her later? ceras is a cute, hardworking girl. she's always sincere about the things she's interested in, doesn't hesitate to ask others for help to achieve her goals, and loves talking to people. she's good at jumping into bed and tends to be quite clingy. ...maybe izumi's praised her too much. ceras may have words to say after this. one last thing. ceras is a girl you never get tired of watching, so hasunosora no koto sukisuki club no minasan, please keep an eye on her

besides ceras, her impressions of everyone are only from the past month, so she's looking forward to seeing what she thinks in the future. it might be fun to revisit this next year

the AFTER is about izumi's other hobby, moving her body. she likes sprinting, fencing, swimming, tennis, and basketball, because it feels good to sweat and moving her body makes her feel alive. this isnt exclusive to sports of course, its the same for school idol dances

as ceras said she wanted to in her movie stream, they did watch an indian movie in izumi's room. maybe they'll incorporate some of the dances into their own performance. she also found out about a campaign for popcorn with double the caramel (*toho cinemas) and ceras was so happy when she told her about it

Jeff Buckley's only studio album Grace was released 25 year ago this month, on August 23 1994. The following year, Jeff toured Australia for the first time.

He stopped by Triple R on August 31 1995 for a live performance on the Rooftop (in the old Fitzroy building) and a longform interview with Stephen Walker. Jeff shares details of his transient childhood where music was the only constant, developing his sense of himself as a musician (only a couple of years prior, by his reckoning), his spontaneous approach to recording, his ascent ('The world is not about to be conquered by me,' Jeff insists), and much more.

You make a very valid point here. I'm with you on shipping. I would never think that shipping someone as friends is diminishing their relationship. Like, you could easily ship Raps and Cass as friends, since they are well... that in canon. The same with many other f/f ships across media, especially in yuri. Those characters are often in what could be called romantic or intimate friendships. I think now is a really great time in terms of female friendship really blossoming in anime right now, and in some Western animation (like Amphibia, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Elena of Avalor, High Guardian Spice, or Hilda)... in recent years there's been female friendships in...

However, male friendships are pretty common, I think. Just look at the two male protagonists of RRR, which people shipped romantically, but had a close personal connection.

Otherwise, your comment is really making me think how I can show that nuance in the fics I wrote, as I really want to show that more, as someone who is sort of on the aro-ace spectrum I think(?) [I'm still figuring it out to be perfectly honest].

As much as it frustrates me when people believe romantic relationships are somehow more valuable than platonic ones, I also don't understand why someone shipping characters who are close friends together (f/f or m/m) is seen as diminishing their relationship.

like, the characters are still besties. the romance is built off their deep bond, the friendship is why people ship it

I'll see it under edits a lot, comments like, "finally, someone who understands they're JUST FRIENDS" or "why are you ruining their friendship?"

And look, as someone on the aro and ace spectrums, I really understand frustration with other people devaluing platonic bonds, I truly do. However, such statements often devalue friendship within them ("just friends") and assume the people who ship them cannot possibly comprehend the complexities of the relationship simply because they see it as romantic - which is not the case. tbh sometimes I end up shipping a pairing because the only people thinking deeply about their bond and posting about it are the shippers! (that's what happened to me with eremin lol)

uh anyways we know the answer is primarily homophobia, probably mixed in with some genuine frustration about amatonormativity. It sucks that the language aro/ace people have for commenting on this issue is so similar to the rhetoric other people use to poorly conceal their homophobia. There is a genuine discussion to be had about how romantic and sexual relationships are valued over platonic ones and placed on a pedestal, but they get lost in the sea of bad-faith comments.

For instance, I do sometimes see the bond between characters be reduced to their romantic connection, even in well-intentioned analyses. The "would friends look at each other/treat each other like THIS?" style of posts also often rankle me because yes! I do look at my friends with adoration, and we do hug and we do go out of our way to support each other. Yet, those are traits I enjoy in ships, so I can't even get too mad lol. The problem is when that type of affection is thought to be relegated to romance.
