These include having relevant experience, achieving the right qualifications, and passing the appropriate assessments. Different subclasses of the NSW builders licence are available, depending on the type of construction work you plan to do. This includes constructing, repairing, modifying or decorating dwellings and applying a protective treatment to them. Licensing is also mandatory for those who want to contract for specialist building work, such as drainage or asbestos removal.
In addition to obtaining a licence, aspiring builders must also carry out a risk assessment of their projects. This will identify any potential issues that can affect the quality of their work. They must also ensure that they have adequate insurance cover for any potential risks.
To obtain a NSW builders licence, you must have two years of relevant experience and complete all the required prerequisites. You must also pass a business management assessment, a technical assessment, and a site safety assessment. If you have any criminal record, you must disclose it in your application. You should also submit proof of identity, proof of address, and a completed registration form with your application.
If you are a licensee in another Australian state or territory, you can transfer your licence to NSW under mutual recognition. The NSW Department of Fair Trading is responsible for this process, and the details are posted on their website. Applicants must also purchase Home Building Compensation (HBC) insurance for any work they undertake in NSW. This is similar to car insurance in that you must maintain a minimum level of coverage or face fines.

Archive Entry #3 - Protolimbs
Mechanised hydraulic prosthetics are staple tech of the wastes, employed by industry, military and medicinal fields in all different manners.
Protolimbs are most typically found as a form of exoskeleton (EPL) that can be freely removed from the body after disengaging the hydraulics from your blood. The entry points tend to leave scarring in a ring around the connection point of the limb as a result of the hydraulic being connected to the vein system. Slimmer designs are often seen in citizen hands as; means of repairing broken limbs while retaining functionality, self defense utilities as protolimbs can easily have weapon modifications performed, or simply as fashion choices. Bulkier exoskeleton protolimbs are moreso seen in industry, providing construction each man with the strength of three. In mining it gave the ability for a single worker to industrial grade machinery directly attached to their person.
Full replacement protolimbs (RPL) are also fairly common. The process of installing an RPL is painful and requires the limb to be severed nearest to the joint, then the proto limb is stabbed into the joint and screwed into the body. The wound must be fresh in order for the internal mechanics to be pumped full of the recipient's blood. These limbs are more personalized than the EPL and are used more in domestic combat and espionage though typically exerting less strength, bar specialty designs.
Rarely protolimbs are installed into the body as an additional extra limb, also known as APL. This is a dangerous and painful process with varying results.
All proto limbs function on complex hydraulics powered by the users blood pumped through by their heart. EPL uses more conventional hydraulics as it functions as an exterior chassis for an existing limb. RPL and APL use a system of mechanical muscles that through a complex web of layered rudimentary movements, form lifelike movement. The process of making metal muscle is a tightly held secret amongst its craftsmiths.

The Archangels & Hydromancy
I learned this from an Ashikai video, but I noticed that nobody seems to ever talk about this in lore spaces, so I'm summarising her analysis here.
Above is a screenshot of Mona's scryglass from a puzzle we solved in the Unreconciled Stars event. Being that the Teyvat alphabet has long been decoded, we can easily read what it says.
On the outermost ring, in four cardinal directions, are NSEW. On the middle ring, divided into twelve parts, are GBL, URL, MKL, RPL; referencing the archangels of the cardinal directions, Gabriel, Uriel, Mikael, and Raphael.
The order is the same as in the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, which Cyno also uses in the comic.
The inner ring of text says, according to Ashikai, "from the height of the light, in the light of the great God, that he poureth out of the elements in the minds of"
The actual dog latin says:
EX CULMINE LUCIS IN MAGNO ELEMENTORUM LUX SE EFFUNDAT IN MENTES DEI
Which is interesting because the first line matches other texts in the game; the hypostases, and the beastly rifts.
A Redditor points out that all of the hypostases so far have this text except the Dendro hypostasis. The Anemo hypostasis, Beth, the Cryo hypostasis, Daleth, the Dendro hypostasis, Zayin, the Electro hypostasis, Aleph, the Geo hypostasis, Gimel, the Hydro hypostasis, Ge, and the Pyro hypostasis, Ayin. These names derive from the Hebrew Alphabet, and there are more quirks surrounding the Dendro hypostasis; the sixth letter is skipped.
Hydro Abyss mages use the same circle as the hypostasis, and it also appears on the sealed doorway in Mondstadt.
The next place we see this phrase is on the outermost ring of the Beastly Rifts in Elynas, with both lines. In the heptagon, it says "Corax Lympha Miles Leana Messor Phaos Pater", referencing the Mithraic grades of initiation. In the innermost ring is "Sator Arepo Tenet Opera Rotas", the text of the Sator square, a mysterious magical charm used in the Middle Ages to cure dog bites, speculated to be a Mithraic charm, or a tool for working out wind directions.
Then, there's a sort of dark reflection to this phrase in the catalysts of the Violet Lightning Abyss Lectors, which read "Ego sum fatus abyssi ergo mundo. Ex culmine lucis in magno obscuritatis. Lux se effundat in mentes abysso."
What does this mean?
The meaning is unclear. The wiki translates "Ex culmine lucis in magno elementorum" as "From the peak of light, to greatness of the elements." and "Lux se effundat in mentes dei" as "May light pour out, into the minds of the god."
"Ego sum fatus abyssi ergo mundo. Ex culmine lucis in magno obscuritatis. Lux se effundat in mentes abysso.", conversely, is translated "I am an oracle of the abyss, thus I cleanse. From the peak of light, to the greatness of darkness. May light pour out into the minds of the abyss."
More discussion on translation can be found here and here. I find whittaspen's comment most insightful.
As for interpretation, we can easily draw parallels between the four shades and the four archangels.

so i think i found the thing i'm irrationally pretentious about.
as we should all know by now, i am a massive tolkien nerd. i am not pretentious about tolkien as such. i will happily explain elrond's entire family tree in order to get to that one pun at the end of the akallabeth. i am still working my way through the andy serkis lotr and enjoying it greatly (when my auditory processing will allow), movie-cast voices and all.
(in the process, i have decided that -- okay, so i have several covers of the song "loch lomond" on my phone, because part of my family emigrated from there about 275 years ago and i'm like that. they are mostly in Generic Scottish Accent ^TM. one is bafflingly in Generic Irish Accent ^TM and came from a gas station mix cd of otherwise irish (and irish-american) songs. however! the first three chapters of rotk, which i have now reached, are in pippin pov. this means i have been listening to a *lot* of andy serkis's billy boyd impression. which means the concept has finally percolated through my brain that "loch lomond", being about a location very near glasgow, really ought properly to be covered in a glaswegian accent -- every vowel crimped off with pliers and tossed out through the roof of your mouth [affectionate].)
anyway! that is not actually the part i'm pretentious about. but in addition to imprinting on tolkien's love of linguistics in general and his opinions on localization (positive) in particular, ten-year-old jt imprinted very strongly on the fundamental concept of elvish word order that, when there are multiple possible ways to say something, you pick the one that sounds the prettiest, and/or looks the best written down.
in practice, this applies for me mainly to neologisms, because most older words have firmly enough established connotations that there's often a single best one for a specific use case.
so, descending from the general to the particular: i cannot stand the word "queerplatonic". it appears to be the word we have, and i don't actually have a better suggestion, but!
(1) it's not intuitive to people who aren't already familiar with the concept. they have to ask what it's even supposed to mean, and then "how does that differ from friendship", and then they get torn to pieces for not already being informed, and nobody is any the wiser.
(2) it only applies to asexual relationships. i'm, if not allosexual, closer to that than to asexual, and you *cannot* ask me with a straight face to try to wedge the concept of "sexual partner" into a word that explicitly evokes the current english connotations of "platonic". a word that is supposed to be The word for committed nonromantic relationships should cover the ones that are *just* nonromantic. (one could perhaps attempt the addition of "queerromantic" and "queersexual" but please god no *ahem* i mean, i hope the idea of those parallel constructions helps demonstrate why i feel like this is a Bad construction and does not communicate the concept it intends to. "queersexual" especially sounds like it belongs to an entirely different family of concepts, such as being queer in sexual orientation in addition to or rather than queer in gender identity.)
and (3) -- this is the part i feel i am probably being tolkienaically pretentious about -- it's hideous on the tongue. "rpl" is not a phoneme set anybody should have to apply to themselves. "kweerp" is a fine noise by itself, especially if you're a frog or a bird (excellent creatures all), but it feels like it wants to stop there.

sardar azmoun for the character ask
such an interesting one!!! i feel like he was easier to pay attention to whenst he was at Zenit. i guess he was playing more, but also in a less "mature" phase of his life (now that he is a sardad) so had more of the inclination to be flirty and gay on insta.
favorite thing about them: well, he's beautiful for one. i don't really have that much of a "type" physically but i do always have a strong preference for dark hair, and he sure has that! and he used to be a bit chonky in his RPL days, that was a plus. it's funny when iran nt plays a big european NT and tungelr periodically discovers sardar, lol. Also--i love his goofy, jokey, bratty-not-a-twink vibe, his old videos broing out to turkmen music at home with his friends, his pubg mobile gaming videos, and the fact that he is a horse girl and fuckening facetimes his horses. and his "love me for who i am" tattoo. and the fact that his mom in the rostov days loved tyoma so much (i'm assuming you have familiarity with ye olde rpl lore...maybe not?) she'd pray for him to score goals.
least favorite thing about them: tbh...probs isn't quite as gay as i thot he was.
favorite line: um. there was that one long interview when the zenit guy went to his parents' house in iran and interviewed him in english, and he dropped some 'fucks' which was endearing, but also maybe it was that video where he's with deki and deki's son and was asking deki's son if he has a girlfriend. i was like sardar...no one here has had a girlfriend lmao (i mean yeah sardeki both have wags but YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN)
brotp: hmmm...maybe with his national teammate mehdi taremi?
notp: there are some cheating rumors about him, so...blah! that!
otp: RIP sardartem...you were truly one of the finest. in that heyday i had it up there with rakidric and the dejanships. and sardartem linkups on the pitch made that 20-21 season so fire to watch. also i mean. the fake anal in the dressing room. we all remember how they seemed a Little Too Comfortable with that. i kind of want to know what happened to make them stop speaking after sardar transfered suddenly to leverkusen.
random headcanon: i think he's a Switch
unpopular opinion: he probably would have been better off not going to bundesliga? is that unpopular?
song i associate with them: uhh this turkmen song but it's not like i listen to it very often...it's just playing in his fuckboi car during one of my fav videos of him lol
favorite picture of them: ooh, choosing a random one from the archives...

Understanding RPL Certification Costs and Finding the Best RPL Provider in Australia
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a valuable process that allows individuals to gain formal recognition for their skills and knowledge acquired through work experience, informal learning, or life experience. For many professionals in Australia, obtaining an RPL certificate is a strategic move to advance their careers or switch to a new field without undergoing traditional education. However, one of the key considerations in this process is the cost associated with obtaining an RPL certificate. Moreover, choosing the best RPL provider Australia is crucial to ensure a smooth and legitimate certification process.
What is RPL and Why is it Important?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process through which an individual's prior learning, gained outside of formal education systems, is evaluated against the requirements of a qualification. This means that your on-the-job experience, skills, and knowledge can be assessed to see if they meet the criteria for a specific qualification. If they do, you can receive a certificate without needing to complete the conventional courses or training programs.
RPL is particularly valuable for those who have significant work experience but lack formal qualifications. It allows them to validate their competencies, enhancing their employability, job prospects, and earning potential. Furthermore, RPL can be a faster and more cost-effective way to obtain a qualification compared to enrolling in a full-time education program.
Understanding the Cost of an RPL Certificate
The cost of obtaining an RPL certificate in Australia can vary significantly depending on several factors, including the complexity of the qualification, the level of the certification, and the RPL provider. On average, the cost of an RPL certificate can range from AUD 500 to AUD 2,500. Hereâs a breakdown of what influences the RPL certificate cost:
Qualification Level: Higher-level qualifications, such as Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas, generally have higher assessment costs due to the more detailed evaluation required.
Field of Study: Some fields, such as health and safety, engineering, or IT, may have higher assessment costs due to the technical nature of the qualifications and the need for specific evidence of competency.
Assessment Complexity: The amount of evidence required to demonstrate your competency can affect the cost. If the qualification requires a significant amount of evidence or complex assessment processes, this can increase the price.
RPL Provider: Different RPL providers have different pricing structures. Some may offer bundled packages that include additional services such as one-on-one support, coaching, or expedited processing, which can affect the overall cost.
Location and Demand: In areas with high demand for specific qualifications, prices might be higher due to increased competition for assessment services.
How to Choose the Best RPL Provider in Australia
Selecting the right RPL provider is as important as understanding the costs involved. A reputable provider ensures that your experience is correctly assessed and that you receive a legitimate qualification. Here are some factors to consider when choosing the best RPL provider in Australia:
Accreditation and Registration: Ensure the RPL provider is accredited and registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) or the relevant state training authority. This guarantees that the qualification you receive is nationally recognized and meets Australian standards.
Industry Experience: Look for providers who specialize in your industry or field of expertise. Providers with specific industry knowledge can offer more accurate assessments and understand the nuances of the competencies required.
Transparency in Costs: The best RPL providers will be transparent about their fees and wonât hit you with hidden costs. They should provide a clear breakdown of what is included in the cost, such as the assessment, support services, and certification.
Support Services: Consider the level of support offered by the provider. The best providers offer comprehensive support throughout the process, including help with gathering evidence, preparing your portfolio, and understanding the requirements.
Processing Time: Check the estimated time frame for completing the RPL process. Some providers offer expedited services for an additional fee, which can be beneficial if you need your qualification quickly.
Reputation and Reviews: Research the providerâs reputation by reading reviews and testimonials from past clients. Positive feedback and high ratings are indicators of a trustworthy provider.
Sample Assessments: Some providers may offer a free initial assessment or a consultation to help you understand what the process will involve and whether youâre likely to qualify. This can be a useful way to gauge the providerâs approach and professionalism.
Obtaining an RPL certificate is a significant step toward advancing your career or shifting to a new field. While the cost of an RPL certificate in Australia can vary, understanding the factors that influence pricing and carefully selecting the best RPL provider will ensure that you receive a valuable and recognized qualification. Remember to choose a provider that is accredited, offers transparent pricing, and provides robust support throughout the process. By doing so, youâll be investing in a certification that truly reflects your skills and enhances your career prospects.
Whether you're looking to formalize your existing skills or make a career change, the right RPL provider can help you achieve your goals efficiently and effectively.

Who is eligible to RPL in Australia!Â
Recognised Prior Learning is about having your previous work background and skills evaluated so that you can obtain a qualification. You gain the qualification based on the skills you learn on the work site, not in a classroom.
It makes acquiring your qualification quicker and cheaper. It will often be cheaper than finishing off a whole qualification because youâre not paying to learn things you already know.
RPL can be used to evaluate learning that has been attained through any sort of formal, informal and nonâformal means in Australia or overseas. To be qualified for RPL, you must be able to provide proof that you have the knowledge and skills that are identical to those needed for the Nationally Recognised Qualification (NRQ) that you are seeking.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process that permits you to have your prior knowledge and learning outcomes assessed and recognised by a Recognised Training Organisation (RTO). RPL for ACS delivers an opportunity for you to gain formal recognition equivalent to learning outcomes of Australian.
Qualifications about your formerly acquired knowledge and experience, enabling you to track your educational and career progression.Â
THE RPL ASSESSMENT MUST BE:
Affirmed by an Academic Staff of an RTO who has proficiency in specific subject content, knowledge and skills.
Be provided with authentic & adequate prior learning proof to validate and verify their experience.
Able to recognise the knowledge despite of how, when and where it was obtained.
Whoâs Eligible for RPL in Australia?Â
If youâve gone through a qualification in a particular area, worked in a position thatâs enabled you to go through industry-relevant tasks, or simply been trained in-house through a firm youâve previously worked for; you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning through a course youâre interested in taking part in.
If the evidence is pertinent to the course youâre interested in, this information will be considered by the education provider running the course and they will discern whether youâre a suitable applicant. If they find your experience too, you can gain credits towards your chosen course, and essentially, comprehensive it in next to no time.
The Benefits of RPLÂ
There are so multiple reasons to assess undertaking the process and using it for Recognition of Prior Learning. Not only can it enormously decrease your time spent studying a course but it can also allow you to become eligible for courses you may not have the prior formal qualifications required to meet the criteria. As a general rule, if youâve undertaken a formal course, the AQF has created a guide that Registered Training Organisations should deem when discerning the amount of credit your RPL can have towards a course.Â
