My Prediction for Episode 6

I made this silly post yesterday about how the end of the series will be Sara driving Wilmon to the airport to spend the summer in New York. After thinking about it for awhile, I have now expanded my headcannon into a prediction of the entire episode. - Hillerska gets shut down. Stella and Fredrika blame Felice and stop being friends with her. Madison and Felice remain friends (of course) - The students have the neon party as a last hurrah before graduation / the school closes. Simon asks Wille if they can forget everything that's happened. Just for tonight.

- After the party, Wilmon swim in the lake and say their final goodbyes before the school closes and they go their separate ways

- Not sure what the final push will be, but Wille will give up his title to August - For once, Kristina steps up as a mom and supports Wille (this hug could be her giving her blessing… or it’s actually Farima lol)

- Wilmon reunite

- And with Wille's new freedom and Simon's new wealth from the settlement, they decide to join Felice and Madison in NYC for the summer (possibly Sara joins them too after reconciling with Simon and Felice)

- As Wille and Simon drive away, they yell and cheer and head off to their hopeful future

- It cuts to August who immediately has all the restrictions and pressures placed on him. The camera closes in on his face, expressing loneliness and regret. August breaks the 4th wall and the series ends.

Not only does Variety predict RWRB will be nominated for Outstanding TV Movie at the Emmys, but it's now ranked as #1 for a nomination AND Variety is predicting it to be the winner of the category. Such amazing news to see RWRB in contention for such an important award. Let's get that Emmy!

They update their rankings each week so keep an eye out, but RWRB has held steadily in their predictions and has since risen to be ranked #1!

Ezran trailer analysis time

Specifically that one vision he has of his parents because it was framed differently than I'd expected, and I think it's all the more interesting for it, so let's talk about it.

Beyond being utterly gut wrenching, I think the framing of this scene says a lot. Losing Katolis isn't just losing his home, but losing his parents all over again. Ezran never got to know Sarai, but he knew they walked the same halls and ate at the same people, knew some of the same people. He's been constantly working towards being the king both he and his father wish Harrow had been, which is simultaneously a more true (Harrow was imperfect) and less true aspiration (Harrow could've been perfect if he'd followed these steps) to grasp, let alone understanding of his father.

Because this is how he pictures his parents, but that's never how they actually were.

Sarai never stood off to the side just holding his father's hand. We never actually see Harrow sit in his throne (unless I'm forgetting something) in any of the flashbacks we're privy to, but just in Callum's dark magic fever dreams. When Sarai and Harrow ruled, they ruled side by side, both with their own throne. But all Ezran can picture is his version of his father with his imagination of his mother; Sarai as a companion and support but not queen to the father forced to rule alone after her death, which was all Harrow had ever known.

It's honestly this scene more than anything that makes me think Callum will indeed stay in Katolis by the end of the season. While there could still be alternatives (leaving for Xadia to study/teach magic, with Soren and/or others stepping further in to help Ezran feel less alone) or characterization reasons (I don't think Callum nor Rayla would want to spend their whole lives at court), this scene coupled with Ezran ruling alone ("It's not fair you have to go through this alone") as well as the emphasis of his and Callum's bond being at odds and then repaired this season + Dreamer's Nightmare ("Think of it as being like a protector, like your mother")... I don't know, something about how Sarai and Harrow are framed, making them the uneven towers of Katolis as is, while also being inaccurate... Callum standing by Ezran's throne in a similar manner maybe wouldn't change the inaccuracy of the flashback / vision (which could be framed like that just for convenience's sake) but it would change the vibe.

- The 2024 Earthshot Prize ceremony is hosted in Africa

- Peter Phillips gets engaged and married

- One of the York girls announces another pregnancy

- There is an Edinburgh PR push

- A monarch dies

- A Norwegian royal death (sorry!)

- Princess Martha Louise's wedding is the highlight of the year

- Princess Ingrid Alexandra takes on her first patronages

- Baby Luxembourg is a girl

- Prince Sebastien of Luxembourg announces an engagement

- Princess Elisabeth of Belgium takes on her first patronages

- Mary and Frederik do something to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary

- There is a Greek/Danish party for Princess Benedikte's 80th birthday

- Princess Madeleine and her family return to Sweden

Alright, 2023 is nearing its end so I'm going to check back in with my predictions.

Leonor will have 3 solo engagements Leonor will begin military training Sofía will attend UWC Atlantic Official portraits of Leonor will be released for her 18th birthday. Sofía will have her first solo engagement The girls will have many sister engagements over the summer Leonor's 18th birthday will not be as extravagant as Ingrid Alexandra's. It'll likely be a small, private event with the only thing being public are portraits. → she had both public and private celebrations so 50% correct, but also I lowkey think Leonor got a more memorable celebration (its up to personal interpretation) Sofía will have her confirmation in late May and only the immediate family will be present

Seeing these float around, so I'm going to share some of my 2023 predictions for Leonor and Sofía!

Leonor will have 3 solo engagements

Leonor will begin military training

Sofía will attend UWC Atlantic

Official portraits of Leonor will be released for her 18th birthday

Sofía will have her first solo engagement

The girls will have many sister engagements over the summer

Leonor's 18th birthday will not be as extravagant as Ingrid Alexandra's. It'll likely be a small, private event with the only thing being public are portraits.

Sofía will have her confirmation in late May and only the immediate family will be present

AND? straight films and straight audiences have had cliché films made time and time again and everyone laps that shit up. FOR ONCE we get that and it's suddenly bad storytelling and bad film making? just admit it's double standards and move on.
