The Imaginarium is a particularly special venue. A symbol of the re-emerging underground scene post covid 🌱 These intimate settings (Wharf Chambers, Outlaws Yacht Club, The Imaginarium to name only a few) are beloved places for the music, art and cultures we love. Carrying the torch at a time of need and acting as spaces of community and belonging for all that need it. Aside from this Roya is a super talented DJ in her own right. She’s played Holistic Missile and Beatherder as well as the legendary Golden Lion in Todmorden. Locally Roya has played all over, but you can catch her regularly on @narr.radio . Thursday February 2nd will see the first @prismatic.leeds event to take place at our @imaginarium_leeds Founded and led by my good pal @josefushaze Prismatic is a spoken word event with visuals and an ambient soundtrack (I believe @philio.w will be the DJ at this one). There’s a performer callout - of you’re interested, contact @prismatic.leeds I am possibly performing at this one myself. I haven’t decided yet if I have the nerve. Even though I’ve done performy stuff all my life, I feel that standing up and speaking (rather than singing) something that you have written yourself is quite a thing.
