The Imaginarium is a particularly special venue. A symbol of the re-emerging underground scene post covid 🌱 These intimate settings (Wharf Chambers, Outlaws Yacht Club, The Imaginarium to name only a few) are beloved places for the music, art and cultures we love. Carrying the torch at a time of need and acting as spaces of community and belonging for all that need it. Aside from this Roya is a super talented DJ in her own right. She’s played Holistic Missile and Beatherder as well as the legendary Golden Lion in Todmorden. Locally Roya has played all over, but you can catch her regularly on @narr.radio . One of the greatest things about 2019 for us was bringing Annie Hall into the @naturalselectionlondon1 family. After booking her as a guest at our 2nd @fold.ldn event in May 2019, alongside Scan 7, Developer, The Exaltics and our residents Kodah and Voicedrone, we knew we had to form this special unification immediately. Annie has played at every Natural Selection event since, often playing back to back and thus forming a reputable musical bond with our co-founder @kodahmusic , and she has shown overwhelming passion and commitment to what we do. . . . Born and bred in Madrid, now based in Barcelona, Annie also spent a long period living close to Detroit which allowed her to forge close ties with the music community there. She has been at the forefront of underground Electronic Music for over a decade and her being signed to mammoth labels such as @cpurecords and @detroitunderground is fully testament to that. With a longterm passion for music and a love of experimenting with new sounds, Annie isn’t constrained by boundaries, which is one of the reasons why she has slotted in perfectly with our musical ethos. She has also released on other heavyweight labels such as Flash Recordings and Semantica and her latest work entitled 'Fum', released in March 2020, again came courtesy of Sheffield giants Central Processing Unit. In recent years Annie has also played at Sonar Festival, Detroit Movement Festival and Dommunie in Tokyo. . . . The newest arrival in our mix series comes from none other than Ida Engelhardt. Based in Copenhagen, she is involved with BunkerBauer, one of the cities’ most exciting fast trance collectives. Her contribution to our mix series serves up a kaleidoscope of high paced and uplifting trance, leaving absolutely no corner of the genre unexplored.

Whether its modern edits of pop classics, mind melting psytrance, old skool euphoria, or the hard trance that Engelhardt and her fellow Copenhagen contemporaries have become so adored for — there’s a slice of trance for everyone.

Ida tells us “compared to some of my other mixes, I’m taking a more laid back approach in this one. I was feeling a bit down, so I was in the mood for something more light, fun and trancey, with an unpretentious vibe. But still bangers ofc ;-) I ended up having a lot of fun while recording it.
