Almost a year ago, I ran a tournament here to find the best Brony song. After many rounds and thousands of votes, The Living Tombstone's Remix of Discord was declared the winner

Now, I'm holding another Brony Music tournament, it will include all the songs that lost in Round 1 of the last tournament, as well as Brony songs submitted by you!

Submit as many brony songs as you want. Note that there is no reason to submit songs that were in the first tournament, because they're either already going to be in the new bracket (if they lost Round 1) or they're disqualified (if they won Round 1). It's fine if you unknowingly submit one of them again, but try to avoid it if you can

Hello !

I really look forward to seing all the crackships in the (huge!) poll you organise. But as the brackets go on I find myself more and more anxious and wondering if you recieved my submissions. Without telling any specifics, do you have many ships involving Donquixote Rosinante left ?

So. Many. He's probably the most submitted character over all ships. (or at least one of the most submitted)

Now that we're talking about it anyway: about half of you are probably getting a little anxious because you haven't seen your ships yet. Because about half of them still haven't been in a poll yet. While round 1 only has 2 sides left, a third of the ships automatically got into round 2. These are ships that either recieved more than 1 submission, or just happened to be at the beginning of the (alphabetical) spread sheet. That said, several Rosinante ships had more than 1 submission (at least 2 had quite a few, from the top of my head, but probably more), so they will not show up in round 1 yet.

Each and every one of the ships you've seen in the polls so far had only 1 submission. There were 31 ships that recieved more than 1 submission.

Beep beep beep be-

Danny slammed his hand over his alarm clock and groaned. 7am already?! It felt like he had just fallen asleep, having stayed up late into the night trying to get Johnny and Kitty back into the zone.

He sighs as he gets up to get ready to go to school.

Going into the bathroom, he brushed his teeth and quickly got dressed,barely giving himself a glance in the mirror to fix his hair. He knew he was gonna look like shit anyway so he didn't need to see it.

He ran down stairs grabbing his back pack and a slice of toast on the way out.

He ran out going twords the school hoping he'd get there in time before the first bell.

He munched on his toast noticing that some people were looking at him in shock and surprise. Some even taking out their phones to take pictures.

'What's gotten into them?' He wondered as he burst through the school doors just as the bell finished ringing.

He ran down the hallway hoping Lancer hadn't started his lesson yet.

Mr. Lancer took a seat as his desk as the students began to get their stuff out for class.

"Alright everyone, settle down now" he says as he moves to write something on the board.

"Please open your books to pa-"

The door of the class room flew open as Danny walked in panting and outta breath.

"Sorry Mr. Lancer, my um parents had an um incident in the lab again" He lied as he hurried over to his seat in the back.

The room was deadly quiet. Danny sat down and looked up only to see that everyone was staring at him wide eyed in shock, as if they had seen a ghost.

Danny looked at them confused.

"Wha-what's going on here?! Why is everyone looking at me?" He asked looking around a bit nervous.

He looked over at Sam,who had her hand over her mouth in shock, and then at Tucker, who just shook his head and looked away in disbelief.

All was silent till at last, Wes jumped up and pointed at him.

"HAH!!! See?! I told you all that Fenton was Phantom! I told you!!! I was right! Take that suckers!!" He yelled and then proceeded to dab in the middle of the class room.

Danny blinked confused until Sam managed to pass him a mirror.

He looked at himself and gasped.

He had been so tired from his fight that he hadn't noticed he'd gotten ready for school while still in his ghost form.

He looked at his classmates sheepishly

"I um...can explain?"

SET-UP AND ROUND 1 BRACKET

Alright, so I had to do a fair bit of math to get this to work, bear with me!

We had a total number of 24 submissions! This means that we needed 8 "bye rounds", meaning 8 competitors that don't have to participate in the first round. After discussing this with a friend, we agreed that the fairest way was to let the competitors with the most submissions move on directly to round 2!

We had five competitors that got to move on automatically. To select the remaining three we'll need, we decided to let all the losers of the first round compete against each other in a revival round. The three that get the most votes get to move on to round 2. After that, everything runs on as usual.

So without further ado, this is the bracket for round 1!

As you can see, three rounds will have three competitors.

Hopefully this makes sense! Unless I get lots of negative feedback on this method and lineup, the voting will begin in a few days!

I also split up the two general submissions I got from the character-specific submissions, partly to make the math a little simpler and partly because the vibes of them felt a bit too different to combine into one.

I don't have many outfits and I don't have legendary gear to change around my alts' gear for new holiday digs, so I decided to just fit my norn elementalist, Vogden the Hammer-chin, whom I've had for around 5 years and never do anything with, into a pseudo-seasonal theme and play him throughout Wintersday instead.
