anywho some silly goofy info about the song :>

when i was brainstorming what music i associate with each of the rise boys, i immediately looked at mikey and went 'hyperpop.'

now i know the rise creators have said smth different for the boys' types of music, but that was long after i started making this so whoopsie.

when i think about mikey's character, at surface level, i see him as very happy go lucky, but eventually you see that 'oh hes a little messed up' which then progresses to 'oH he's rEALLY MESSED UP'

hes just a funky little freak i love him.

so i wanted to somehow convey how i viewed mikey through the song, which is why it starts as a silly upbeat lil groove and then the beat drops and hes going sicko mode.

now, i fully acknowledge that i do not have the skill set to fully do this concept justice (hence my calling it a 'right piece of SHIT'). so yeah it's not very good but hopefully it's good enough.

and as i said, if enough of you goobies like it ill put it out in more places for you to listen.

Hello! So I'm in this rottmnt season three project and I analyzed the music of mystic mayhem as to understand how to compose for this future project. I will admit, it's a little embarrassing since you can easily see the patterns of what I've been listening to for the past year or two. I swear I listen to more than just videogame OSTs, these songs just jive well with the story and I often find lyrics distracting when brainstorming scenes. Regardless, the music I listen to is such an important part of my creative process and some of these songs really defined the scenes I now have locked in my head. So I figured it was only fair to give them the credit they're due.

I will continue to add to this playlist, and will note in comic updates when one of these songs is applicable!
