Design notes under the cut!

Firstly, all the poses are directly referencing scenes in the show/movie

Secondly, these designs will be absolutely infused with my headcanons and ideas about the characters, so a lot of these things will be “because I said so” decisions based on the headcanons. My designs are pretty standard as far as RotTMNT human designs tbh.

I gave him vitiligo in places that match up with his canon placement, but also in places where I think his spots would develop over time (we see that he does gain spots in the movie, so…)

The big design is mainly based off his og design (pre-ninpo, basically). The overalls are meant to call back to his sash (?) thing, and the boots his funky spats (???). Also I gave him a slight heart motif because that his role! In the family, he is the heart! So many people don’t pay attention to that!

He has friendship bracelets that match with Donnie, Leo, Raph, Casey, Cass, and Sunita, and one that’s generally for the Mad Dogs. The heart necklace matches with April.

The gloves are kinda calling back to his ninpo gloves, but not really. They are the heart gloves though, because I thought it was cute. I kept debating if they should have little paint splotches on them, but decided against it in the end for simplicity’s sake.

His nails and beads use the same colours because I’m lazy, and his bandanna uses the same orange.

He drew the smiley faces on his knee spots. In the absence of kneepads, this is something he’d 100% do, you can’t fight me on this.

Unleash the flavour shirt because he still idolises Swaggart, but only a teeny bit.

I gave him the Jupiter Jim bumbag, but I forgot what it looks like and was too lazy to look it up, so I fudged it a little. He’d probably have paint markers in it.

He seems like the kinda guy to roll up his sleeves to avoid getting paint or cooking stuff on them.

Some miscellaneous stuff: Little piercings and ear cuffs he would be so happy about. Tooth gap. Fight me on this, I dare you. Dot eyebrows cos he is circle. Grey hair because he aged like dirt in the movie and I thought it would be funny. His colours also match his canon colours (orange, bluey cyan, pink)

lately ive been real unhappy with how i been doing art - the fun art, i mean. specifically with my comics, which i think is why i change up sainwb format so much.

Since Ghost is about to be BODIED by Cass' Apocalypse once more in @tmntaucompetition, I thought I'd draw him with all of the children he's collected. He also got adopted by The Eldest Brother boys, and also by Redline Shen, but I was running out of steam and they both have art of them already sobs

Snapdragon boys by @bluesgras met Ghost behind the scenes and Ghost said "oh my god all of your parents are awful I'm kidnapping you all"

Empathy is Learned boys by @alicat54cwriting also found Ghost between matches and Ghost was like "what's with these sassy lost children" and just took them. No one claimed them, they're his now.

@falling-from-dawn-au turtles met Ghost in the competition first round and Ghost adopted them until they go home.

Totpocalypse by @pastadorable was another case of babies wandering around without parents and Ghost went "oh god oh no" and just started taking care of them.

Ghost in the Shell is my last AU in the competition, so I shall be dumping them back into their world after this round. <3 Thanks for letting Ghost take care of your kids, it distracts him from the fact that he is in fact lost in yet another dimension.

Once again all the poses (and some of the outfits this time) are supposed to call back to scenes in the show/movie. It’s allllll references here.

I noticed a lot of designs make Leo the whitest? I think it’s to make him look more like splinter, but I didn’t really vibe with that tbh. I did still wanna make him look like Splinter in his Lou Jitsu days, just darker and more of a weirdo (/pos).

I think he’s delusional enough to think that if he straightens, bleaches, and dyes his hair, it won’t come to life and strangle him. Honestly, he’s probably right, if I did that to my hair it’s fall off. His roots are starting to show tho, because I think his brothers would start prying him away from the bleach bottle (slowly but surely). His hair naturally has a lot of volume, with or without it being straightened, cos did you see him in the hidden city?? Man had such intense volume with zero effort (tell me your secrets plssssss).

His default fit is the Adam Sandler, but sometimes he actually looks decent! That’s usually when Donnie steps in and helps him. Help aside, Leo can’t bring himself to stop wearing dorky graphic tees with old 80s action stars. Something he shares with all his brothers ig.

Out of all his brothers, he probably wears the mask the least (you see him without it the most during the show), so I only gave him a bandana (headband?) in one drawing.

He’s what you call a port wine stain baby (also, google doesn’t have nearly enough reference images of birthmarks on dark skin), but he also has vitiligo on his arms and legs. This is all to look like his dumb little stripes (/pos).

His gloves and boots are supposed to look like his pre-ninpo design (kinda obvious but yk).

Binder bc you can pry my transmasc Leo headcanon from my cold, dead, hands.

I gave him like… weird long and pointy fingers and I’m only noticing now?? How did I not see this before? He also has rings with that one pose because he seems like the type to subtly accessorise with small matching jewellery, as opposed to Mikey who’s just everything all at once.

If you’re from the previous part and wondering where his friendship bracelet is, he keeps it on the hilt of his katana. Just cos.

He definitely had an emo phase and that’s probably when he got his piercings done.

Oh, DEFINITELY the top of the statue of liberty, especially at sunrise. It's always so quiet and peaceful up there; it's a nice place to collect my thoughts, especially after the... situation.

My room in the lair, obviously— What do you mean it has to be outside the lair? Unenthusiastic groan. Probably that one abandoned metro station. There's great acoustics in there, which make it a nice place to dissociate while listening to music and doing work.

The Sunrise Café! Ever since the invasion, humans have gotten a lot more accepting of mutants like us, so it's safe to go into stores 'n stuff now. I've had a lot of little kids come up to me and ask me what it's like to be a turtle, hehe!~

Honestly, I'm not sure I have one. I love NYC so much and no matter where I go I always feel happy to be there. I have always loved central park, though. Especially at night, when it's quiet.
