Another angsty what if time!

Considering the events of the movie occurred due to a failed mission to stop the theft of an artefact, what if, one of the turtles first missions after the events of the movie also ended in failure. But hey its not the end of the world. (This time.)

And Leo knows this, he really does except the last time they (he) failed, it ended nearly ended the world and he can’t stop thinking about it. And that is how his brothers find out he really isn’t ok, in the midst of a panic attack. One that he can’t pull himself out of no matter how he practices the deep breathing exercises he has become so familiar with or much he reasons that it is NOT the same. It won’t stop. It keeps getting worse...

First, speculation. I think if Rouge and or Amy are in the film, it wasn’t shown in the trailer because we already got the epic surprise that GERALD IS ALIVE!!! I remember many months ago story boards were leaked that included Rouge and Amy, but if those were real, I do not remember, so I still have a smidge of hope. If they were cut or just not in the movie at all, I hope that’s because they delved into Shadow’s character more. I believe that if Rouge and Amy aren’t here, then they’ll be in the 4th, which I think could be like a Heroes plot line. Idk I don’t claim to have the facts, I’m just rambling. But that’ll also mean Neo Metal, so maybe that theory is biased.

Now my personal thoughts. I see people getting mad that it’s not the exact same plot line as SA2, but in my opinion, I think it’s better this way. Of course I also want a cinematic version of SA2 1:1 recreation with better graphics, but that doesn’t follow what the Sonic Cinematic Universe has done so far. I like that it’s loosely following that plot line, since it also looks like they’ll be merging it with Shadow the Hedgehog somewhat. This literally just means better story. NOT SAYING BETTER THAN SA2, but better for what they can do. That’s why I don’t see a problem with Gerald being alive, and Shadow already having amnesia.

It’s also because I’ve always liked that not everything in Sonic is cannon. (Or at least was until Sega ruined it). It leaves more room for creativity. And with the legal restrictions already set on writing Sonic and his friends as characters, this easily balanced it out. Like I get wanting to have a canon to refer back to, but why be mad if the idea is still good? Like, it’s just different. The whole reason ROTTMMT flopped, and people realized too late. That’s my opinion at least, as someone with a strong passion for creativity. The whole non canon thing is what I like about the Transformers franchise actually! (Fun fact I’m also a bit of a Transformers nerd, but I obv love Sonic way more)

I drew this partially because I remembered he was my favorite Rottmnt character and also because it's canon he likes ballet. Soo... I thought the concept was cool
