Inspiration Saturday. I haven't gotten much progress done on my cross stitch but this is the art for the fic so I figured I post it anyway.

Rosebud started the morning by opening the drapes to the love room.  “Five more minutes!” David groaned by her side.  Stevie rolled towards her best friend. “We’ve got to stop doing this.” she sighed and kissed his head. “Will we though?” David asked sleepily. 

Stevie got up and stretched her naked body. “Unclear.” Stevie made her way to the washroom, and the shower started steaming on its own.  “Thank you, Rosebud.”

Stevie scrubbed her body with soap that smells like jasmine. “You know you could sell this stuff!” She mused. 

“You honestly think people would buy it?” David’s voice was high, and Stevie often wished that there was a way she could soothe his anxiety.  But magic motels don't even work like that.

I'm too nervous to tag anyone since this is technically a rare ship (at this point)

I think it’s very interesting how often the title in this form is used in the Schitt’s Creek fandom. In the first Frozen Over I participated in, I think there were 3 or 4 fics titled Merry Christmas, Patrick Brewer. So I collected all of the fics that used this title and read them all. Sammy begins to walk towards Tulip Town's entrance. Covered with vines of roses, that form an arch. Followed by rows of other flower bsuhes, making the town wonderous with colors.

"Wow.. This place is so- Colorful!" Diane exclaimed with excitement.

Sammy didn't seem to pay attention to what she said.

"You don't seem as excited?"

"Huh? Oh well- All I have to say is, I may like the sights here- I don't really like many of the mons. Most of them are just too-"

"Alright outsiders, hault!"

A scorebunny with a rather food related appearance seemed to block the entrance. Diane jumped back a bit. Sammy remained unphased.

"Pedro, we don't have time for this. Just let us through."

"Well well if it isn't Sammy Koul, now. And what's this? Oh so you got yourself a friend there, huh?" The Scorebunny, Pedro teased. "Ha I'm just messing with ya. But boy, if Rosita finds our your here- She's going to blow your ear off."

"Yeah, thanks for the reminder. That's what I'm trying to avoid here. So if you can just let us through-"

There was a rumble in the ground. Soon enough a large spile pierced through the Earth, right in between Pedro and Sammy. Soon enough, a green dragonair slithered down from the flowered arch. Then up to the tip of the spike that arose from the ground. They open their eyes slightly, before shutting them again and speaking.

"Sammy! Oh, what a suprise!"

"Hello, Rosita..." He said while trying to keep a smile.

"Oh, dear- It has just been ages since you've been around Sammy.. Or should I say- Mewlett.."

Diane was confused.

"Mewlett?"

Sammy sighed.

"It's a Nickname... Rosita here thinks mew is a week pokemon cause it hides instead of doing its duties. So because she thinks I'm a weak mon for not knowing any moves, she calls me that..."

"And oh how it has stuck over the time," mocked Pedro.

"Pedro." Rosita said sternly, "Leave, would you?"

Without hesitation, the scorebunny ran off without a word.

"Now. What is your name, dear?"

"I'm Diane. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"I see... And what are you two doing wandering around like you are?"

Sammy overtook the conversation.

"Were just passing through. We're traveling the region- Nothing more. We were hoping to make it to Rockquake actually before nightfall and-"

"Silence. Now, you two will be doing such thing, you hear? It's already getting to be dusk- and as the one in charge here, I'd just feel awful horrid if something happened to either of you if I ket you go. So stay for the night. Won't you?"

"Seems a little impulsive. And I wouldnt want to intrude- We could make it, Rosita so just-"

"Nonsesnse dears! Oh, it would be no troubke at all. Lumos could lend you two two rooms for the night in the Rosebud motel. Just for the night~"

"Can we, Sammy??"

"Diane, I thought you said-"

"Oh yeah I know I know. But whats the harm for one night?"

Sammy sighed again.

"Fine, one night."

"Oh wonderful! Diane, dear- If you'd like, just go down there a ways and see where that little vined sign is? That's the motel, and tell Lumo that I sent you there. I have to talk to Sammy about something real quick."

"Oh- uh." Diane looked to Sammy.

He nodded, signaling for her to go on. She did, hesitantly. Though soon began to trot further and further away from Sammy and Rosita. To a point where they could finally speak alone.

Rosita and Sammy not dared to look at eachother.

"Meet me in my gym in a bit. Something came in for you just this morning. Make sure to come once she is asleep- Understood?"

"Understood."

Yelp review: Rosebud Motel

The bathroom hot and cold faucets were switched and I burned myself. Some doors had flowers outside but not others which looks weird and I think the motel staff killed someone. They trapped us in the lobby and I saw a coroner wheeling out a body. I thought it was a murder mystery game because a woman wearing a wig made a speech about being a murder suspect but no game happened so I think she killed someone fr. Maybe her wig was a disguise not a costume? Idk why she’d confess?

Some (more than) Seven Sentences Sunday/Fuck it Friday/WIP Wednesday

A couple of weeks ago I started thinking about the conclusion to my Unbroken series, Legacy. It had been awhile, so I am really excited to get back into my little universe, even if not that many people will read it. I've got the rough outline in my head, just need some time to actually write!

Although she did not tell David that day, there was another reason why Ari wanted to stay in Schitt’s Creek for the summer. 

And his name was Steven Schitt. 

Steven was the son of RJ Schitt, grandson of Roland Schitt.

Ari and Steven essentially grew up together. Steven was one year older than Ari. Every time Maddy, Mike, and the kids would come to visit David and Patrick, Steven would be nearby. 

Steven started working at the motel around the same time Ari started helping out at the store. When Stevie decided to cut her workload in half, RJ took her place at the flagship Rosebud, and so Steven essentially grew up at the motel. He was thrilled when Ari told him she would be staying the summer in Schitt's Creek. 

It was four years ago when they discovered they were both named after Stevie. After Roland Senior retired, Stevie kind of took RJ under her wing. There was something about RJ that brought out a different side in Stevie. David used to tease her that she did have a maternal instinct hidden beneath her flannel, to which she would punch him in his arm and tell him to fuck off. 

Whatever it was, RJ loved spending time with her, and learned all he could from her. After he graduated with a business certificate from Elmdale College, it was decided he would manage the Flagship motel. Like his parents, he married his high school sweetheart, and two years later, she gave birth to their son. 

Steven Roland Schitt was named after Stevie and his grandfather. Ari shared how she, too, was named after Stevie and her grandmother. And although Stevie never had children of her own, she became a surrogate grandmother to both Arielle and Steven.  

That summer Ari and Steven had lunch together almost every day. Patrick was the first one to figure out what was happening. He saw them sitting in a booth when he stopped in to get himself and David their afternoon drinks and snacks. 

David was reorganizing the window display when he heard the bell ring. He looked up and saw Patrick smiling his upside down smile.

"Okay - spill it. Why does your face look like that?"

"That's just my face, David. The same face you've seen almost every day for the last-"

"If you really love me, you will not say how long it's been, Patrick!"

"Okay, David. Want your coffee? And would you like to know who I saw at the cafe having lunch with our granddaughter?" 

"Well, if I had to guess I would say the same person who has had many lunches with our granddaughter. Steven, right? So what?"

"They were holding hands, David. I think they are more than just friends."

I had another idea for @schittscreekdrabbleblog word this week

She thought she was content sitting behind the desk, wasting away hours playing solitaire between checking an occasional guest in or out of the motel.

Maybe content wasn’t the right word.

Indifferent. Stagnant.

Nothing ever changed; she had accepted that.

Then the Roses walked into her life. Against all odds, they changed her.

When Aunt Maureen died and left her with the place, Mr. Rose helped her not only with the business but envisioning everything she wanted. Everything she could be.

The Rosebud Motel Group was a success. Stevie finally felt the thrill of victory, of no longer treading water.
