i finally got around to finishing rookie historian goo hae-ryung and gotta say it's really good but the ending did feel... a little rushed!! still would recommend.

Rookie Historian first two episodes last night, I like it a lot. I can't help but do the Western brain thing of equivocating it with whatever the Western time period was; Joseon fancy dress and cultural mannerisms are so different than like British/French ones. There was a scene in episode 2 where the police comes in and breaks up a book-reading party, and I had to mentally envision a group of French soldiers in redcoats stampeding through a salon to wrap my mind around it.

i’m genuinely enjoying A Good Day to Be a Dog so far, i think it’s very cute but like…. imho cha eunwoo’s best roles have been…. the giggly lovesick prince in Rookie Historian…. the cunty little priest in Island….

and it’s very tragic to me that he keeps playing these stoic tsundere ass men when I Know. he was destined for more.

I just started watching a period k drama on Netflix (Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung) and holy cow, I was not expecting such serious social commentary on book/media censorship on episode 2 of a quirky romcom and I'm loving it.
