a/n ; Paloma's sister makes an appearance! She can never be what she is in her original iteration in these games. In BG3, I made her a half-drow, and she had to be an elf in DA:TV. When I play her in DnD/Pathfinder, she's a changeling.

Elf. Antivan Crows. Rogue with a Duelist specialization. Romancing Emmrich Volkarin.

• She's an orphan, like Paloma, but she has no idea what happened to her parents. She was taken in by the Crows.

• She grew up with Paloma and they consider each other sisters. Lamia is younger and therefore the "baby," and she acts the part. Paloma still cleans up after her.

• In her original story, she was in prison for 10 years. I want to figure out what that would mean for DA:TV!Lamia. One way or another, she's been imprisoned somehow for 10 years. She missed most of her nieces and nephew's lives.

• Lamia is a con artist, a thief, and an assassin. She mostly targets the wealthy with her schemes. She loves money, what can I say?

• She considers herself as more intelligent than most people. She’s smug and her ego is often her downfall. She likes to be perceived as tough as nails and cocky, but she’s a lot more sensitive than she lets on. It doesn’t take much to hurt her feelings.

• She can be callous toward strangers and acquaintances. She assumes people are cruel until proven otherwise, so why go out of your way to help anyone? Don't worry, she's growing as a person due to the friendships she makes along the way.

• She's in her mid-30s, on the verge of being in her late 30s.

• Being captive for 10 years did a number on her, even if she doesn't want to admit it. She's on the eccentric side. She acts pretty reckless, excited to be free for the first time in years.

• The age gap between her and Emmrich doesn't bother her at all. She is gonna fuck that old man.

There isn't anything he doesn't know about you, but he still asks some questions just for the sake of it.

Rook is Rook, he won't treat you differently at all.

He already had his doubts, but he's nonetheless fascinated

Elgar'nan was in such a good position to be what both the Dalish, and the City Elves needed him to be, in order to turn them against everyone else.

Me & Lamia ( winterfromtevinter) have been tossing things around and it really stirred the feelings. he's a God returned to shepherd the lost and the faithful, a Saviour who will deliver them from their oppressors steel, unlocking their shackles and telling them to rise like the Sun. The ruins of their civilisation vultured upon, their history lost to time and desperately held onto in song and passed down tradition. In the cities they starve, they're enslaved, they live by surviving. He might never walk amongst them ( the god figure that he is ), but he says all the right things, he bathes them in his resplendent aura and they reciprocate with devotion, with blood. I already said that it was overlooked, the Elves being another valuable tool and ploy for the Gods to capitalise on. They don't have the firepower and raw strength of the Antaam, nor the magical power and gold of the Ventatori. But when you unlock that fury and grief of a people slaughtered, oppressed and driven into the dirt. You get wildfire. Unquenchable and unpredictable. How can you withstand against the forces at your door, when there's wolves stealing your people in the streets? Burning your barricades, assaulting your provisional roads. Harrying your troops from one point to the next? making the most simple, complicated. and this is such a stressor to Rhen, and he can't afford to ignore it ( in the game it doesn't happen, but you know ). Both as a figurehead of an operation set on stopping the Gods by whatever means necessary, and also as an elf himself. Who has felt the stinging bite of being called a knife ear, who has experienced the cramped and squalid conditions of an alienage, whose work does at times — require him to prey upon the fancies of those who sneer derisively at him. he knows it. he gets it. it doesn't matter that Elgar'nan's words and godly devotion are conditional and exacting. he brings wonders and a promise of change, and it's not empty politics, or placating commentary. for a people who pray to their gods on one hand, and cry for vengeance in the other. It wouldn't take much at all. Bellara, Davrin and Rook sat around the dining table late at night, when the rest of them have all retired from the evening, sharing uneasy looks. talking in quiet, hushed tones about what could happen. what it could mean. elves descending from spirits is utterly irrelevant, when the threat beyond the eluvian threatens to set all their people on fire.

Teaser for Chapter Seven of Bloodhound- A flashback!

Hiya, lovelies!

I'm so grateful for your patience in waiting for the next chapter of Bloodhound. We're almost there, so hang on!

Here's a little flashback that will come up in the next chapter. To set the scene, this flashback is of you, a certain Arcadian Son, and a game of chess. Sorry if there are any grammar mishaps, I haven't quite finished proofreading!

Can you guess which CoD villain this Arcadian Son is?

He looked at you, eyes reflecting the dim lights of flickering ceiling lamps. Bathed in cool colours, akin to silver moonlight, you felt a shiver run through as he placed his rook in front of your pawn; an imminent threat that you would now have to think about, should he choose to have the little castle march onward on his next turn and add your soldier to the growing pile of bodies on his side of the board.

You swallowed hard and thought. His king remained stoic next to his queen, unphased by your nearing army, seeing as his knights, pawns, and bishops were destroying your forces. Such was the price you had to pay for every blunder you made.

"Oh, pup," the man across from you chuckled, "had I known this was your first game, I wouldn't have made this so hard for you."

You grumbled, brow furrowing.

He looked down at the board and then back at you. There was a glint in his eye, as if he was trying to tell you something. His gaze directed you to a lonely pawn he had, which was ripe for your bishop's taking.

Reluctantly, accepting his aid, you moved to take it, your resentment growing as he took your hand and guided you to the pawn, practically handing it to you.

"There you go," he encouraged, "A kill to your name."

He sighed as you looked down, face tinted with the signature shadow of melancholy. Though he bore a mask, an elaborate, almost medieval-looking one at that, you could tell he was frowning.

"What's wrong, little one?"

You pulled your lips into a thin line, unsure if you should-

"Speak."

His voice echoed throughout the empty lounge, the rumble of his inner beast shaking your chest. You sat bolt upright, eyes wide and alert, deserting their heavy-lidded sadness, realising your emotions were dampening his mood.

"I'm sorry, sir. I-"

"What? Please, don't tell me you're crying over a game of chess."

He rolled his eyes.

"No!"

He looked back at you.

"I mean..." You cleared your throat. "I mean, no, sir. It's not about chess."

"Then, what, pup? What's making you so sad? It's not pleasant to see you like this."

The way he spoke had a terrible knack for cutting into you, like a well-sharpened knife through flesh. His Russian accent was strong, and sometimes you found it had rubbed a little off on you, which you supposed was inevitable, seeing as he was the one who had brought you up since the Foundation had first found you.

"I don't know. I guess I'm just a little... erm..."

You had to choose your words carefully. The last thing you wanted to do was offend him.

"... I hadn't seen you like that before."

"Ah."

He was quick to realise what you were talking about. Your first mission with him had gone a bit haywire, and he had to resort to some more... unsavoury methods to get what he wanted.

"Most of my lamias do tend to be surprised. I make for a fearsome Arcadian Son. But I didn't attack you, did I?"

"No, sir."

"So why is it affecting you so much?"

You shrugged.

"I guess I was just scared."

He laughed. It was quiet, contained but aggravatingly condescending.

"You only need to be scared if you're my enemy. Are you my enemy?"

"No."

"Exactly. You're my lamia. I raised you as my own. You have nothing to fear should you remain at my side."

"Has a lamia ever betrayed you?"

He scoffed.

"Has a lamia ever betrayed me?! I am well into my hundreds now, pup, think about how many lamias I've raised in the time I've been with the Foundation. There are always defects."

"I see."

"And most of those defects found their end here."

He pointed to the lower half of his masked face, where its metal lips were.

"In my teeth."

She has her lobes and right eyebrow pierced. She's good with what she has for the time being. She might change her mind later.

She's a light sleeper. She generally has to get up early in the morning because her kids get up early. Sleeping in is a luxury for her.

She can swim and she loves it! She doesn't get to go swimming often though.

She knows Common, Elvish, Undercommon, and Sylvan. I have toyed with the idea that one of her children may be deaf, which would mean she knows Common Sign Language.

She loves being outdoors whenever she can. The only time she prefers being indoors is when it's cold out.

Lamia

I actually forgot to give her piercings in-game. No idea how I overlooked that.

But if I could give her any piercings I wanted, she'd have several. She has piercings in her lobes, upper earlobe, and helix. She also has an industrial piercing in her left ear. Her tongue and belly button are pierced as well.

She's planning to get more in her forward helix, rook, and tragus.

She's a heavy sleeper and she's a night owl. She doesn't sleep for very long, but she does prefer to sleep in. She doesn't like getting up in the morning.

She can swim. She does actually enjoy it a lot. She particularly loves going to the beach.

Along with Common, she speaks Draconic, Elvish, Thieves’ Cant, and Undercommon. If one of her niblings is deaf (still deciding), she'd also know Common Sign Language.

She generally prefers being indoors, but she doesn't mind being outside. She prefers warm, sunny days.

She has two lobe piercings and two piercings in her helix (if that's what it is on a gith ear). She doesn't have any plans for more.

She's a light sleeper. She doesn't sleep long and she prefers to get up early. A lot of that comes from her training and needing to be ready at a moment's notice.

Learning to swim was part of her training. Gith must be prepared for anything. She's not a big fan of swimming. She does like sitting by the water though.

Her native language is Gith, but she also speaks Common. Once she settles down with Gale, they both start to study various languages together. First, she teaches Gale how to speak Gith and read tir'su.

She doesn't really feel strongly about either, but she does need to go outside a little bit during the day. It de-regulates her otherwise.

Both ear lobes and helixes are pierced. He also has eyebrow piercings in both eyebrows. He'll probably get more, but he doesn't have any plans about what he'll get.

He's a light sleeper and he struggles to sleep at night. He goes to bed late and rises early, only getting a few hours of sleep.
