It’s wild how if you had’ve told me a few years ago that all I have been consuming for the last however long I’ve been at this was COD characters x reader, I would’ve told you you were mad.

Like the COD thing alone would’ve had me buying you a one way ticket to the funny farm but I used to hate x reader fics. Now they’re all I consume and I’m not ashamed one bit.

Also shows the state of decay in my previous snobbery towards x reader fics. I can’t believe I missed out on years of x reader in my “prime” fanfic years because I thought they were cringe. Now I just want to open up the hatch in my mind and pour them all in by the bucket load

gonna rant in here bc i saw something that pissed me off a lot

someone on tumblr was talking about how May's reunification with her birth mum should have been the goal all along, and the show just expects us to root for the turners because it assumes we like them???

and then i saw smth on twitter that wasn't ctm related but it said "if you want to adopt because you can't have kids, you're doing it for the wrong reasons, parenthood isn't a right"

parenthood isn't a right!! i agree!! but that applies to bio parents as well. may's mother has consistently proven that she's not able to care for her!!! may was born addicted to heroin because her mum used during her pregnancy, was constantly abandoned at the orphanage, and all types of bs.

and now the kid is about 9.

she doesn't speak chinese, she doesn't even REMEMBER her birth mother, and the turners have given her a good home where she feels safe and loved.

parenthood is a responsibility, and it seems like patrick + shelagh are the only ones truly willing and able to fulfil that responsibility for may. so that's where she's safest.

Rest of the show was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 AMAZING!!! But the ending was too abrupt. Not enough FEELING. After everything they went through then just- WHAT!?
