💉 for a medical-themed headcanon

He's gotten proficient in medicae out of necessity. Leto doesn't like seeing random medical officers because of his mutations as the result of being Voidborn — most of them he's able to hide on a daily basis — so he learned how to treat his own (minor) wounds wherever possible. Even as Rogue Trader, he would rather trust Abelard to tend to his wounds instead of a random medicae officer unless it's severe enough.

Leto enjoys dancing. His family had enough status that the van Mynaards were present at high society functions and the like and much to Leto's surprise he actually enjoyed it. He was fairly popular with the young high society crowd (particularly after the Apex of Brilliance triumph) and his duelist training translated extremely well into dancing, so it often meant his dance card was full.

He doesn't do it as much as Rogue Trader anymore, but he always saves one away from the prying eyes of Dargonus' aristocracy for Cassia, if she wants it.

18: how they sleep

Before becoming Rogue Trader, Cas was used to sleeping lightly and in cramped quarters. Years into her tenure as Rogue Trader and she still prefers to sleep on her side, facing the nearest door in case of sudden trouble. Sleeping through the "night" especially on her ship, is a challenge. She tends to wake up every few hours to check her surroundings for any non-Marazhai dangers lurking in the dark. The exception to this is after a Feast. Maybe it's due to the exertion, maybe it's whatever weird Aeldari emotional high that happens in the heat of it, but every time Cas sleeps like the dead afterwards.

19: their reaction to betrayal

Cas is considered to have an unusually narrow definition of "betrayal" for an Imperial Noble. In general, she tends to care about things like "why" and "the scale of impact" when factoring in punishments. If she feels like the cards were stacked against the person and they show enough remorse, she usually shows mercy. Yrliet is a famous case of this—Casimira can't imagine not doing the same thing in her shoes, and had Theodora still been Rogue Trader instead, Cas might've advocated Yrliet do worse. Commorragh was ordeal enough, she prefers to see what Yrliet does going forward.

23: how they act when they’re sick

Illness is rare for her, as Cas puts a lot of effort into her physical health. So much of herself is projecting authority and confidence, but it's hard to do that when she's nauseous or sneezing or coughing up a lung between giving orders. Cas can't stand to be even a little bit sick in public, and won't leave her rooms until her chirurgeon arrives with a full suite of drugs to deal with the problem. Ironically, Cas' intense drive to isolate herself means everyone on the bridge automatically knows when the Lord-Captain is feeling under the weather. Only Abelard and her chirurgeon are trusted enough to interact with her during this time. No exceptions (Marazhai specifically included).

Thanks for the ask @ronqueesha! From Soft OTP Prompts Been staring at this one off and on since last night. I think I'm finally happy with it, and clocked in at ~360 words. 😅

V scowls at her reflection in the full-length mirror. The shirt collar is too tight; the arms are just a shade too long while the pants are too short, and make her look even taller and her hips wider.

“How’s it going in there?” Rosalind’s voice heralds her arrival from the bedroom, and she glances up in the mirror to find her leaning against the door, arms crossed, a smile spreading across her face as she looks V up and down. “You look fantastic. How do you feel?”

“Like I’m being strangled, and haven’t even put on the tie yet.”

Rosalind approaches, sliding her hands around her waist and pulling tight against her, face nestled on V’s shoulder.

“You don’t have to go, you know. It’s just a state dinner.”

“I know,” she says, her eyes dropping to the tie dangling between her fingers.

“Would you like some assistance with that?”

Scoffing, she shakes then nods her head with a small grin. “Yeah, guess so.”

Rosalind spins her around by her hips and turns up her collar. She takes the tie from V and loops it over her head, pulling each side back and forth along the collar until she’s satisfied, then she begins wrapping the fabric over itself, back and forth, building up a knot. While she works, Rosalind describes the entire process but V is too distracted by the beauty of her face to pay attention to her words—the fine cheekbones, the spray of freckles, the perfect cupid’s bow mouth that smirks as she catches V watching.

She blushes as Rosalind arches a perfect eyebrow. “What?”

“Nothin’. Just you’re beautiful.”

One corner of her mouth turns up and she glances up at V again. “You weren’t listening, were you? Never mind. A lesson for another day.” 

She draws the tie close to V’s neck and turns down the collar, then helps her into the jacket and straightens the tie and lapels. She gestures her head at the mirror, and V turns around.

“You’re extremely dashing yourself.” She blushes but Rosalind’s right—the suit and tie do look good on her. “Now, shall we?”

“After you, Madam President.”

they got yelled at by diamond city security once for messing with takahashi - not for trying to fix his language module but they were trying to see if they could extract the noodle recipe from his memory. they didn't get that far

they used to dabble in writing text adventures. there's probably a few hiding out there still on terminals or holotapes

nightmare: What does your OC have nightmares about? How do they deal with their nightmares? Do they tell people, or keep it to themself?

For tav and kanan

Kanan has nightmares about the Colony War. It's actually how I opened Event Horizon, lol, with one of their nightmares. They don't really deal with them. They just try to push it aside and go on with their day, but sometimes that can be hard when they come into their waking hours in the form of flashbacks. Kanan prefers not to tell anyone about it. They've been on their own for quite some time and haven't had the need to do so, but this changes once them and Sarah become closer, as they share war-induced nightmares and PTSD.

As for Immanuel... he gets all sorts of weird nightmares, I'd imagine mostly vague Illithid fever dreams. He also has nightmares about his past (maybe current? idk yet) curse as a werewolf - getting glimpses of memory from his wolf form. Immanuel keeps quiet about these at first. Of course, he opens up about the Illithid nightmares first, as it is important to the party's mission, and someone in camp probably has the ability to calm the nightmares. The other nightmares, though... Immanuel keeps to himself, though he becomes less and less reluctant to share and talk it through with others after he learns that Astarion is a vampire.

we both love starfield so this is my random topic.

i'm tired of people pushing others to do the new game plus. i see this on reddit all the time.

it's a really cool mechanic but also it kinda gets draining doing it over and over. i feel the novelty of it wears off very fast and the whole thing feels repetitive. people should play at their own pace and not feel like they have to see this super special content if they want to truly play the game. there is no right way to play an open world game. that's the whole point.

— arthur has a fine, round orange boy of a cat called chutney. he was originally a skyhold mouser who took a particular shine to him; arthur ended up getting so attached to the little man that he brought him back to ostwick with him after the inquisition was disbanded and has lived the comfortable life as a beloved and pampered family pet ever since (don't worry, chutney is alive and well at the end of veilguard, at the ripe old age of 14.)

— plants might be a special interest of arthur's and he has a green thumb when it comes to flora useful in medicine and alchemy, but he's absolutely useless when it comes to things like flowers, even years after retiring. he ends up leaving those to the family gardeners at aunt lucille's estate.

— arthur really doesn't like opera. it's very overstimulating — too loud, too bright — but he learned to tolerate them for his aunt lucille's sake. the orlesian one he sat through with josephine was 10x worse. he draws the line there.

Immanuel Tavrinth, half-elf, Oath of Devotion Paladin and Folk Hero. What languages is your character fluent in? Immanuel is, of course, fluent in common and elvish, given that he is a half-elf. He is also fluent in common sign language and infernal. I like to think he has a decent grasp on several other languages as well, though not as fluently as the ones I've listed. Over the course of the game I'd imagine he'd learn how to speak various Illithid languages also.

What is your character's alignment? After going through an alignment test, Immanuel is Lawful Good, though I could see him leaning toward Neutral Good also.

What would your Tav be doing if they weren't kidnapped on the Nautiloid? Probably doing what he was doing when he got kidnapped: traveling. Immanuel is a nomadic soul, wandering the lands and helping those he can, while acting in the interest of Tyr, God of Justice.

This isn't fully decided on yet, but a current idea I have is that Immanuel is a former werewolf. Maybe he traveled with a band of Tyrran paladins like himself who were turned. Maybe he got separated from his band and found a cure himself, but got caught kidnapped and taken onto the Nautiloid before he could find his allies. Maybe he'd still be looking for them if he wasn't kidnapped.
