Dislikes - Ticking, Night-time, Suffering of innocent souls, feeling weak, Lateness.

Curse obtain story:

One day Rono was visiting a regular AU for a soul collection duty.

However, the AU was under a massive attack. The Star Sanses fought desperately against Nycto and his crew. But after fighting for so long they began to weaken, they did their all to save that AU.

Nycto cast the curse onto the AU when the Stars were distracted. Rono became one of the victims of the curses cruelty. At first ignoring the signs, until they became more severe and later on developed into his fear

Time

Curses effect:

Some of the issues with Rono's curse effects is how his body responds to Negative Emotions or his Fear.

Usually the darker gradient parts of his body such as arms & legs in normal state just stay stable.

However when the curse is in action, the affected black parts of his hands wither and become black sand similar to the one in his hourglass.

It makes his fingers or his entire arm perish if it goes out of control. The black gradient will also move upwards.

This can be mostly prevented with reassuring Rono, calming him down and making the limbs go back to their original form.

The ticking of the clock haunts him everywhere he goes...An unnecessary reminder of how quick the time passes by..

A lot of the time being like a mosquito whenever the other tries to get some sleep.

Why most of the time he stays up drinking coffee.

Some other issues with Rono's phobias are visions of people he is interacting with dying or withering away in front of him, which can cause panic for the other.

The hourglass on his face is slightly cracked, you may notice at times the black sand falling out of the broken bits of glass.

Thinking about how Youngblood's affection for Noise will only ever draw him towards the bard college, towards suffering and cruelty and everything he was running from, and his affection for Roman draws him away from the bard college, into freedom and joy. Thinking about Noise being so grateful to Roman, for being the freedom they could never offer Youngblood

Meet 𝘼𝙡𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙨! ⛈

She may be a hardened warrior at first glance, but if you get to know her, she is actually very soft.

She was thrust into a position that she feels very conflicted in. After her home was destroyed, she made a deal in an effort to save what little remained, but instead lost everything, leaving her as her cultures fabled Godslayer from the most ancient of scripts.

She's from my webcomic, Moon of Ronos! and I have been developing her and the culture/people she comes from for a few years now.

I do a TON of research on real world cultures because that's where I find the most beauty in real life!

If Altoros were to exist IRL, she would be Afro-Melanesian! And thus I took some inspiration from actual Melanesian and African cultures for the in-world culture that Altoros is from!

For where her heritage would come from in Africa, I picture her being from the Horn of Africa (the region in Africa with countries like Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya, and Eritrea! And as for her specific Melanesian culture roots, I'm still working it out!)

I can't say much about the in-world culture that she is from- because it might be massive spoilers. But stay tuned if you're interested in learning about it!

Sometimes I forget that this isn't common knowledge but did you guys know that the digsite federation runs youtube livestreams for the broadcast channels of all their digsites?

The livestreams don't really get a lot of views since they tend to be a bit boring, given there's no visual (they just have a blue background with the DSF logo), but sometimes when a rescue or something happens, they upload the highlights as videos on their channels.

Not too long before the Carrington Event, a skyscraper collapsed in New York Main and Rono Kipkibor's Cassandra 2 team were buried.

They were dug out by tag leader Jarra from Asgard 6.

Give it a listen, it's pretty fascinating.

Oh, I saw how friendly she was with Cassandra 2 during the zulu dig but I always thought it was just because her lecturer was friends with them! I didn't realize she'd helped save their lives!

It's so cool hearing how different she was during this event than she is as Commander Tell Morrath. Like, she sounds a little nervous throughout the whole thing?

But you can also tell she really knows what she's doing. I don't know a lot about archaeology, but if Earth 19 let her keep tagleading when they arrived, that must mean she was doing a good job, right?

on the note of different ocs! it's been part of ronos' history for years that he spent some time in a tevinter lab on seheron, doing some vague research on blood magic, but making aurania nevarran has solidified the specifics for me - he was researching if blood magic and necromancy could be combined to use qunari corpses for espionage! and that was the environment he took mihriel into to hide the fact that his potential heir's mother was an elven slave

i think he deserved getting skewered by a ben-hassrath agent actually. i should put astaarit on this blog at some point.
