THANK YOU FOR ALSO LOVING GREYWAREN that book made me go from slightly obsessed with this whole little universe to being VERY obsessed, and I suspect I'll never stop being a menace about it <3 it did THINGS to my psyche
i know u just said some favorite scenes from greywaren, but as a fellow lover of that book, I just have to know: what are some other things u really love about it?
THANK YOU FOR ASKING. FINALLY. SOMEONE ASKING THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
declan lynch autistic child core. as a child i was exactly like child declan and it warms my heart.
jordan and declan are the best couple and if anyone tries to say they’re not u should shut up. (i love all the couples equally but i love them more).
hennessy is so fucking funny like what an icon. her hatred of pennsylvania is so special to me. i don’t even hate pennsylvania i just admire her commitment to the cause.
the thing with declan’s moth. enough said
also declan and adam bonding and (this is mister impossible but whatever) meeting up to have a Ronan Lynch Support Squad Consultation….yes.
THE MATTHEW-BRYDE DYNAMIC. “YOU ARE THE SADDEST DUDE IVE EVER MET!”
the juxtaposition of niall and ronan in the chapters at the barns. aghhhhhh. and the glimpses into niall’s past like…..i wouldn’t call it a redemption arc but the careful way he is humanized WITHOUT being redeemed. and seeing what ronan saw in him. but also what declan saw
DECLAN LYNCH GANGSTER ERA
on the seventh day the lynch brothers became friends again. BECAME FRIENDS AGAIN
but basically. if trc is a coming-of-age series where you see these kids delighting in and struggling with the magic on the edge of adulthood. the dreamer trilogy is like the loss of childhood innocence. cdth and mi are ROUGH at points. it’s much harsher feeling than trc, more heavy and sad and action-packed and suspenseful. and greywaren is like…the tentative peace you make at the end of the transition to adulthood. ronan’s finding his feet, seeing old friends, proposing. declan is settling down, letting go of his childhood wounds. it’s not an ending really but it’s where things start to be okay. and that’s how it feels. and that’s why (for all the plot holes and rushed pacing blah blah blah) it’s so. fucking. good.
AND CAN I JUST SAY. all the ppl who say that post-TRK pynch became “bad” and “toxic” and “isn’t as good as in trc” and “they shouldn’t be together anymore”……..i hate those ppl w my whole heart bc. i’m sorry, but if you read the scene in greywaren where their, like, celestial soul energies found each other in dreamspace and reconciled and apologized and forgave (in. disembodied dream soul form…whatever) and WERE WANTED THEY WERE WANTED THEY WERE WANTED and decided to love and help and heal one another and you STILL think that???? i just don’t know how to help you!!! sorry u can’t enjoy mature healthy relationships where people have gone through bad periods and so the relationship suffered for a while and then they recalibrated and decided to continue to grow together, but i’m built different :))

adam parrish <3
Ty ziska <3 :)
My first impression This is so hard bc it's been like almost a decade. God. But I first read trc bc my mutuals were posting about it and they were adam fans so I already read it with a good impression of him.
My impression now He's my bestie. My worstie. My fucked up little rabbit <3
Favorite thing about that character I do love how his narrative is centered about autonomy...I think he seems like a stereotype at first but he is very grounded in reality in a way most characters especially from ya series aren't. His alienation from his peers, learning to connect with other people in ways he didn't thought were possible bc it's not the way he imagined it... He loved magic was good at it etc. I love it. Also his resourcefulness and being the magician, connecting things that people can't see and using that to his adventage.
Least favorite thing I didn't finish tdt but the fact that he works for the us goverment is so on point unfortunately he can and will sell his soul to achieve what he percieves as 'being a sucessfull person' and like this post says I do wish this was worked on more... Not necessarily 'fixed' bc it's a good character flaw! But stiefvater is not a very good writer and her politics suck so I can only wonder what a better writer could do with this aspect of him.
Favorite line/scene "maybe this is the future but it's not the end" + taking the magician card for himself
Favorite interaction that character has with another This is silly but I love the bllb chapter where he first meets greenmantle. The trk chapter where he makes ronan smile and gives his watch to opal. And ofc World's ending folks!
A character that I wish that character would interact with more Ohhh this is hard. Probably blue I love their relationship. And persephone!
Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character Mu qing my friend mu qing <3 shiori from rgu as well
A headcanon about that character I once read a hc that he hates country music and you know what I believe it tho I don't think he's a music guy really.
A song that reminds of that characte Fast as you can the dream thieves era is so real to me…
An unpopular opinion about that character I don't know what's unpopular these days but I think sometimes people want to make him softer and better than he actually is as a sign that he 'healed' and it just makes for poor characterization and analysis.
Favorite picture No picture but I do love this fanart

Andrew nodded agreeing that he'd never thought that they'd be doing anything like this. "I don't think I was in the right headspace to have said 'yes' if you had asked." Drew gave her a shrug. "I feel like it probably comes off that I was hiding her from you. Really, it's just a matter of protecting her. When Cara and I lost her parents that was soul crushing and I was on call that night. I was at the crash and those scars you've seen, the really bad ones, those are from me crawling into the car to dry to get Ronan and Essa out because it was taking ages to get any of the hydraulic tools to open get the doors off." Those scars were raised, thick and silky smooth. They'd needed several stitches and significant time to heal; time he was given when put on bereavement by the Chief. "Nora has a mother and a father figure in Cara and I but I wish she could have a normal family dynamic that Ronan and Essa would have given her. Cara's a workaholic and more into women than men."
Pausing his wave of explanation word vomit, he told her he would take it black. "That's really impressive. I had a significantly smaller budget than Cara so my place was a massive fixer upper, too, but I wanted to be close to Cara's and still zoned to the same schools in case something happened." It was no easy feat, the place looked like a squatters shack and for some time Cara had insisted that until specific things were sorted his weeks not be spent there, so the entire fire department had pitched in to make it mildly livable. "Does Kaz live here with you?"

"Coffee it is," Viktoriya answered as she busied herself with making two cups of coffee. "And I know I don't have to feed you but I want to," she turned to smile softly at him before she turned to open her fridge and took out things to make one of her favorite dishes, she had fond memories of it. Having Andrew in her place felt jarring if she was being honest. "I gotta say though, it's a little weird seeing you in my kitchen, not in a bad way, just in a more of never thought it happen way," she confessed softly then nodded as she listened to him. "You want to be able to actually spend time with her, that's understandable. Nora seems like a wonderful little girl," she commented with another smile on her face. "You don't have to apologize, Andrew. My lack of sleep is more to do with me, I promise," he might have been part of the reason but ultimately not the main one. At his question, she hummed while she took out a few pots and pans. "About five years, actually. My brother, Kaz, helped me renovate it and everything. It was a disaster when I bought it but with a lot of elbow grease, and a few accidents, we finally got this together as you see it now. It's my small paradise," she replied with a warm grin, she truly loved her home, didn't think she'd ever have a house that felt like home.
"Now, I hope you like dumplings because that is what I am making, we call them pelmeni back home," she offered as she took out the dough just as their coffee was done. She poured him some into a mug. "Do you take it with cream or sugar?"

things on my greywaren bingo card that came true:
-matthew punching declan in the face
-ronan experiencing some kind of ego death
-ronan being a god
-matthew fake dying
-bryde (sort of??) dying
-carmen/lillianna/hennessy (almost) throuple
-adam being a cunt
-hennessy realizing the lace is just a manifestation of her own self-hate
-jordeclan getting married
things that were NOT on my bingo card that I can’t believe actually happened:
-ronan and adam having soul sex on the astral plane
-declan becoming a mass murderer being the most essential and healing step in his character growth

Let’s talk about upcoming books!
It’s hard to believe the year is nearly over, but it’s equally hard to believe that it’s somehow still 2020  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Either way, the new year means at least one good thing- cool new books!
Click the read more for a little on each and why I’m excited! And have a great new year! 💓🎉
The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey is Gailey’s third full-length novel, and their second Adult novel. It’s an SFF story about a woman whose husband is cheating on her… with a clone of herself… which he made by stealing her research. The layers of betrayal! Obviously her and the clone have to kill him, what other choice do they have? I’m super excited for another one of Gailey’s fun, complex characters and the concept alone sounds so, so cool.
The Valley and the Flood by Rebecca Mahoney I’ve already had the pleasure over reading and I am PUMPED to get other people to read it! This is a magical realism story about grief and baggage mixed with a southern (western?) gothic vibe with the town in the desert full of otherwordly “neighbors”. This is a beautiful story of PTSD and healing and as well as a lushly magic one.
The Mirror Season by Anna-Marie McLemore is another one I’ve already been lucky enough to get an advanced copy of. This is a magical realism story about the trauma of two characters’ unfortunately closely connected sexual assault. This one is heavy, and if you’re sensitive to stories involving rape and/or blackmail you may want to avoid it, but it’s well written and honestly an excellent story of healing and reflection.
Lycanthropy & Other Chronic Illnesses by Kristen O’Neal I…. have also already read! Sorry- I am just a very lucky reader of books! This is a really modern online friendship based story of a girl and her community of people with chronic illnesses, like the one that forced her to come back home from college. But it turns out her best friend’s chronic illness is a little… weird. I love the humor in this book, I love the characters, I love the representation of these illnesses and the online communities they form, and I honestly think that anyone who 1) like werewolves and 2) is still on tumblr will love this book.
Blade of Secrets by Tricia Levenseller combines three of my favorite things- bladesmiths, magical quests, and the author of The Shadows Between Us. A magical bladesmith takes a commission from someone far more dangerous than she knows, and winds up with an uber powerful sword able to steal secrets, on the run, and with some surprising friends. I can’t think of anything I don’t like from that, and I know I already love Levenseller’s characters, so!
Mister Impossible by Maggie Stiefvater has… that title, but is also the sequel to Call Down the Hawk, Stiefvater’s Ronan Lynch centric TRC spin off. CDTH was incredible and ended with a massive cliff hanger, so I’m chompin at the bit for this book. More magical dreams! More disembodied voices! More murder and art theft and Declan Lynch failing at pretending not to be weird af!
May the Best Man Win by ZR Ellor has the potential to make me cry right from the get go. This is a MLM trans lovers-to-enemies-to-friends-to-lovers story and my God I’m vibrating. Basically it’s a battle for prom king between exes who had a messy break up because one of them ended their relationship in order to come out & transition. The cover is so cute and I’m ready for this to be fluffy and fun.
One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston is McQuistion’s sophomore novel after Red, White & Royal Blue, so… obviously? This one is sapphic and involves falling for someone who is literally in the past. I trust McQuiston so much I’d need this book immediately even if the concept didn’t sound amazing, but I’m feeling blessed that it does!
Violet Ghosts by Leah Thomas is about being best friends with (and crushing on) a ghost while also coming out to yourself as trans. As an enby who likes ghost books- may I just say trans rights? This book also involved parental abuse, so beware if you find that distressing or triggering!
Blood Like Magic by Liselle Sambury not only has a stunning cover and a main character who looks like she means serious business, but it’s a dark urabn fantasy about witches. The main character fails her ritual to come into her magic, she’s forced to kill her true love or strip her whole blood line. Ah, I love difficult choices, gray morality, and magic, so I’m already in love with this.
The Box in the Woods by Maureen Johnson I’m astounded and super excited to know is going to exist at all. I loved the Truly, Devious trilogy, and while this isn’t exactly a part of that it is the same main character and it is still a mystery about an unsolved murder! Plus, I love summer camps, so a summer camp murder mystery makes me happy.
Gearbreakers by Zoe Hana Mikuta is a sappic enemies-to-lovers about two girls on opposite sides of a war fought by giant Windups. This is a cyberpunk book of spies and pilots and gay love, and it’s also the first in a series!
Any Way the Wind Blows by Rainbow Rowell is the third and (most likely) final book of the Simon Snow series and it’s gonna be GOOD. My only wish is for it to be about 500 pages longer because I want a full out door stopper of tying up loose ends.
The River Has Teeth by Erica Waters is the second book by the Ghost Wood Song author- which was on my most anticipated list for 2020 last year! That one was creepy and folky and queer, and this one looks to be the same. This one has a sister disappear and some strong magic to find out what happened to her, and if their mother was the one who did it.
Mark of the Wicked by Georgia Bowers is a dark fantasy about a girl who comes into her powers but has some different ideas about how she should be using them. I love morally gray or just plain dark main characters, so I’m ready to jump right on this one. This one also involves memory loss/blacking out and being framed, which always adds a cool mysterious layer!
Among Thieves by M.J. Kuhn involves queer, selfish thieves forced to band together. I have a soft spot for characters who are really flawed and don’t want to work together (especially if it leads into found family!) and this also has a slow burn sapphic relationship and a lot of possible betrayal in it, so I’ll probably go crazy from reading it.
Beyond the Ruby Veil #2 by Mara Fitzgerald doesn’t have a title yet but it does have a great plot to work off of. I loved the first book- which was creepy, had a completely awful, villainous main character, and full (I mean full) of murder- and it ended in a way that point to the sequel being just as good if not better. The first one had the quality of just watching the world burn, and I have a feeling this one’s going to be the same thing with maybe more flames. If you plan on picking up either of them, consider checking out the CWs, though!
Little Thieves by Margaret Owen got added to this immediately because Owen definitely gained my love and trust via The Merciful Crow duology, and I’m certain it’s going to be incredible solely because she’s a wonderful writer and her characters are a lot of fun- and speaking of characters, she’s already shared some drawings and info on them and they’re GREAT I cannot wait to meet them. This is a retelling of The Goose Girl story, from the maid’s POV!
Jade Fire Gold by June C.L. Tan was originally on my 2020 most anticipated but then 2020 happened so… yeah. But it is actually coming out in 2021, as long as the world doesn’t end again (fingers crossed). Inspired by East Asian mythology, this one is about a dangerous cult, a peasant cursed to steal souls, and an exiled prince!
The Heartbreak Bakery by A.R. Capetta is going to be one of those cute, fluffy, feel good reads, which I think we probably all need about now. I love Capetta’s work and their very queer characters, and I love the idea of a magical baker both breaking up and then getting couples back together. Also, the MC is agender- we love to see it.
The Second Coming by André-Naquian Wheeler follows a teen with a traumatic past falling for a boy who might be the second coming of Jesus Christ. Honestly, I’m a little nervous about this one- but also I almost wrote my own queer second coming story, so who am I to talk? I don’t know much more about this book, but I’m excited to see what it turns out like!

Watching *Little Women* (2019)
for probably the fourth or fifth time this year. And it never fails to choke me up. Like. Emotions, what the heck? Get? Lost?
There's just so much about this movie that just hits me right where it hurts. The nostalgia aspect, first of all. But that's only the tip of the iceberg.
First, the fact that it's *good*. Like, I refused to see the movie for a while because I was so concerned that they were going to ruin the book for me, and it has always been so important to me. Jo has always been so important to me. I assume she had something to do with my childhood dream of being a writer (though most of it was also the dream to create something magical like Harry Potter). She's always felt kind of like my kindred spirit (except for when she turned Laurie down--then it kinda felt like my own soul was betraying me but that's neither here nor there at the moment).
The acting is brilliant. The casting is brilliant. The writing is top-notch. I swear I didn't like Saoirse Ronan or Timothee Chalamet until this movie and now I am warming up to them both (I also didn't think he was remotely attractive, and then he had to go and play one of my favourite characters and suddenly it's like "Oh, I'm starting to get it...").
I have also related often to Amy (more in retrospection of my life than in the moment; as a child Amy pissed me off). Her constant whining and attempting to tag along when Jo was spending time with Laurie is exactly how I used to act around my older brothers (yes, I had crushes on some of their friends, but that is neither here nor there). But there were so many moments in this film that I was so proud of her! The discussion with Laurie about marriage as an economic proposition--I loved the way she stood her ground. I have always wished to be that brave, and maybe part of the reason I'm not is because I don't have as firm ideas or enough bravery to say them regardless of how I will be thought of. I was also so, *so* incredibly in awe of her telling Laurie he was being mean when he hinted that he wanted to marry her. Her refusal to be anything but first choice was so *powerful* and her honest confession about having loved him her whole life meant so much to me. Many of the crushes I've had in my life have been long-term. Like, I think the longest crush I've had was for six years. The most recent one was for about four, and is still healing. If that one came to me and so much as hinted, I would find it very hard to say no. Also, I was a little sad that they cut one of my favourite parts of the book--despite desperately wishing Laurie and Jo could be happy together, I always liked how Laurie proposed to Amy. Laurie's line about "We pull quite well together. So much so that I wish we could always pull together. Will you, Amy?" "Yes, Laurie." And that's it. It was so subtle I think I missed it the first time I read it and was hugely confused. xD
Beth is obvious. She's so beautiful and small but with a huge heart. And her quietness and desire to do small and beautiful things to express her love for others is something I have always related to but felt that the world was too big and loud and I was too...at a loss? for that. Her death always makes me weepy; when she dies in the musical, at the end of the song "Some Things are Meant to Be" I just. I straight up can't listen to that song in public because I will bawl.
Meg is a little different. I think I most relate to Meg in wanting pretty things and, as this movie shows her, in being kinda not-great with money and impulse-buying. And caving to peer pressure (I have *always* disliked Sally Gardiner).
There's a lot of parts about this movie that I can't watch. When Meg buys the fabric for her dress, and then when she and John have a discussion about it in the middle of the night. When Jo and Dr. Bhaer argue about her writing (by the way, who decided that he was going to be Italian in the movie and not German? Like, the actor was great and I did enjoy him, but I was a little sad that they changed that for seemingly no reason). Amy burning Jo's book and then her falling through the ice. Meg arguing with Laurie when she's at the debutante ball. Beth's death, to an extent. Jo's writing Laurie a letter (before she knows that he's married Amy) and asking him to marry her (it wasn't in the book and I found it exceedingly awkward). But it's mostly because I already have so many emotions and just freaking CAN'T. Like, how am I supposed to hold it together when Jo says things like, "I care more to be loved" and "I'm *so* lonely!"
Ugh. Anyway. Gonna go cry or whatever. Because how else do you get rid of emotions?

Cora Part 1
TRIGGER WARNING: Religion and illness
Prologue
He was going insane. Sam lay in bed, glaring across the room at the two people who claimed to be on his side. He wished they could understand his pain.
The small stone house was chilly, but Sam was sweating under the piles of blankets they had put on him. His blond hair was plastered against the back of his neck, and he was frustrated by the itch of the woolen tunic; he’d been wearing it for five days straight.  Though his ice-blue eyes blazed with fury, he had no power to do anything.
“He keeps getting worse,” Cora choked, nervously winding and unwinding a strand of blond hair around her finger.
“How much do you think he understands?” Warren questioned, holding his leather-bound Bible to his chest.
All of it, you knobheads! I'm still Sam! he tried to say, but all that came out was: "Uhl! Knohea! Thill than!"
Cora cast a worried glance at the man on the bed. “He’s still Sam,” she said.
I know, but you seem to have forgotten. He wanted to say, but all that came out was mumbled gibberish.
Warren and Cora turned away and spoke in low voices. Sam grunted, annoyed. Look at me! Talk to me! I'm still here! Sam tried to beg.
"I think we should send for a priest," Warren said, running his fingers along the edges of the yellowing paper.
No!
"You know he wouldn't want that," Cora said, brushing her hair behind her.
Thank you!
“God can heal all things,” Warren stated, ignoring Sam.  He gripped his Bible tightly as he spoke.
“Then why did he let Sam get sick in the first place?” she fired back.
Warren recoiled at her harsh tone. “God is love,” he said firmly.
Cora took a calming breath and fidgeted with her hair. “I’m sorry,” she said. “I know your faith means a lot to you.”
Warren straightened and looked down at Cora. “The Bible says God loves everyone.” he lectured. Warren looked at Sam lying helplessly in bed. Why isn’t He answering my prayers? Warren thought, looking at the heavy book in his hands. He bit his lip nervously. What if he dies before he comes to Jesus? The thought of Sam and Cora going to hell made him nauseous.  I have to have faith and keep loving them as God would want.
“I know you care about us,” Cora said, pulling Warren from his thoughts. She put a comforting hand on his arm. “We appreciate everything you have done, but we just don’t believe in God, especially after what happened.”
“Why not?” Warren snapped.
Cora withdrew her hand and clenched her jaw. “Because belief in God is what killed our mothers,” she said, gesturing to Sam. “Lord Holward had our mothers burned alive! He is one of the most ruthless and powerful people we know of, and he says everything he does is for God!"
“But that’s not of God!” Warren insisted. “It says in the Bible to love others because God loves us.”
Cora massaged her temples, blocking out Warren’s voice. “No one believes that. The church says non-believers should be killed and sent to hell. Just ask Lord Holward.”
Stop fighting! Sam tried to say. “Stu ightin!”
They paused and looked at Sam. "Let's go into the other room so he can sleep," Cora said.
Warren nodded in agreement.
What? No! I'm not tired! Talk to me! But as he tried to speak around his uncooperative tongue, his head spun from exhaustion. A tear rolled down his face onto the sweat-soaked pillow. Communicating would not be an option.
His soul strained against the confines of his body, but it was no use. It was making him tired.
Tears sprang to his eyes as he heard the door gently close.
Sam laid there angrily glaring at the ceiling while silent tears rolled onto the pillow.
Chapter One
Cora shivered in the damp cell.
"They're going to be okay," she told herself as tears fell down her face. Talking made the space feel less empty. "Warren took a job on that farm, and Sam is getting better."
But he wasn’t getting better. Cora buried her face in her hands. Sharp pangs stabbed in her chest as she wept. "I'm so stupid!"
Her bony shoulders shook. She brushed her long, honey colored hair from her face and rested her head against the stone wall. "The next time I see the sun will be the last," she uttered. "I hope it's a nice day."
She took out the blue wooden spinning top in her pocket and spun it. The clattering it made against the stone floor comforted her.
She got it from her Sam and Warren for her 19th birthday. Sam had carved it from a block of wood, and Warren had painted it.
She smiled sadly as she remembered the day. They had gone into town and bought some sweets, then went home and spent the day playing ring toss.
She was brought out of her memory as the door opened at the top of the stairs, and a dark silhouette descended the steps. A man approached the bars and placed a torch in the sconce on the wall. He had copper curls to his brow, broad shoulders  and pale skin.
She froze when she saw his eyes. They were blood red, making him look like a demonic spirit in the torchlight. Cora was thankful for the thick metal bars between them.
"What are you?" Cora stammered, getting to her feet.
An amused smile twitched on his lips. "Hello to you too," he said in a husky Irish accent.
"What are you?" she asked again, pressing herself against the back wall.
The man chuckled. "You're the girl who angered Lord Holward," he said, eyeing her.
"It wasn't that hard," she replied.  "Who and what are you?"
“My name’s Ronan. Tell me what happened between you and Lord Holward,” he said smoothly.
She stayed quiet as she tried to form words. Piecing it together in a coherent narrative was difficult given her scattered thoughts. “Our friend,, Warren, and I were taking a trip to town with my brother, Sam,” She began. “He’s been sick. Some weeks he's bedridden, unable to speak, but other days, he can walk and even say a few words. We thought it would be nice to get out a bit. Sometimes Sam gets a little confused, and he bumped into Lord Holward.” She paused to gather her thoughts. “Lord Holward began screaming and raised his hand to hit Sam, so I ran in front and pushed him away.”
Ronan raised his brows, and his eyes widened.“You're tellin' me you put your hands on Lord Holward?” he emphasized.
Cora nodded. “He said I was foolish and that I’m going to die tomorrow," she said as if it were a matter of fact.
Ronan took a moment to wrap his head around what she had said. No one in their right mind touched a Holward like that. And she spoke of her death so casually. Humans weren’t known for going gracefully to their death.
"Ain’t that typical. People like him can get away with doin' terrible things, but when we slightly inconvenience them, our life is on the line!" Ronan ranted.
"It's disgusting," she said bitterly. The tiny bit of cordial conversation put her slightly at ease.
Ronan took a calming breath. "What's your name?" he asked.
"Cora."
"Cora, I've come to offer you a job," he said stiffly.
"A what?" she asked, going tense again.
"Standin' up to a Holward like that is quite impressive," he continued.
"Thanks," she muttered.
"You have two choices. Either come with me, or you can go have your head cut off in the town square tomorrow."
She eyed him suspiciously. Her stomach was in knots, but her curiosity won over her apprehension. "What's the job?" she asked, moving closer to the bars.
Ronan paused as he tried to think of how to word it. "I'm a vampire," he said bluntly, giving her a fanged smile.
A small gasp escaped as her hand flew to her mouth. She took a few quick steps back as her heart thundered in her chest.
He retracted his fangs. "Just listen. I'm not goin’ to hurt you," he said in a gentler tone.
She nervously fidgeted with her hair and nodded.
"The humans and vampires have an alliance. Only a handful of nobles are aware of this. Lord Nightwood allows us to stay at his castle in return for protection. We are at war with the werewolves. We're always lookin' for recruits to help out," Ronan explained.
"Werewolves?" she asked, arching a brow.
He nodded and showed his fangs again.
She went quiet, thinking. This is crazy. But maybe I could make it work in my favor. She confidently strode to the bars. "I'll only go with you if you help Sam," she said firmly.
Ronan smiled, extending his fangs again as he leaned on the bars. "Are you tryin' to negotiate with me?  You're not in a position to do that."
She forced herself to stand her ground and meet his terrifying gaze. "If you want me that bad, you're going to help my brother. If I'm not worth that to you, then I'll gladly die."
Ronan arched his brow, impressed at her boldness. He looked down as he mulled this over. Not only has she stood up to Lord Holward but now she’s giving me an ultimatum.    "Alright. If you come with me, I will do my best for your brother, and in return, you will be turned and fight alongside us."
"Deal," she said quickly before she could chicken out.
Ronan grinned. "You'll be out of here soon," he said, leaving.
***
As Ronan made his way through the maze of hallways, he passed a young woman with long brown hair. She was wearing a plain grey dress and carrying a small boy, who could have been no older than two. He was wrapped in a purple blanket. His head rested on her shoulder, sleeping peacefully.
The woman met Ronan's gaze and held the boy protectively against her. His eyes slowly inched open, and he gave a slight wave to Ronan before fluttering closed again.
"Come on, Quinn," the woman muttered, glancing nervously at Ronan as she hurried away.
"Lucky little shit," Ronan grumbled, looking around the elegant castle.
Quick footsteps echoed down the hall coming towards him. "Ronan!" Lord Nightwood barked, approaching him.
"Yes?”
“Holward has agreed to let us take her. Now let’s go before he sobers up.”
Ronan chuckled. “You got him drunk?”
“Perhaps,” Lord Nightwood said dismissively. “The carriage is waiting for you outside. I’ll start on my way.”
“Alright,” Ronan replied.
He made his way back to the dungeon. A guard with a large metal key was waiting for him.
Ronan paused at the top of the steps, looking at the girl curled up in the corner of the cell. He could clearly see her bones pressing against her skin. When was the last time she ate? He wondered.
There was a loud metal clunk as the guard opened the cell door. She slowly sat up.
Ronan appeared in the cell and offered his hand to help her to her feet. She looked at him apprehensively. He frowned. Her eyes were so pretty, but their minty green color would soon be replaced with bright red.
“Come on then,” he said, helping her up.
Her skin was ice cold. Ronan shrugged off his cloak and draped it over her shoulders. She froze, caught off guard at the kind gesture. "Thank you," she said slowly.
A few tears glistened in her eyes as she shook, terrified.
Ronan kept a firm arm around her as he led her out to a windowless carriage. A servant opened the door. Cora hesitated, but Ronan gently guided her in.
She reached into her pocket, but the top wasn't there. She sighed but didn't say anything. It wouldn't do any good.
"You're goin' to be turned into a vampire, and you are goin' to fight against the werewolves with us," Ronan stated, getting in after her.
"What did the werewolves do?" she asked, nervously fidgeting with the ends of her hair. "Why are you fighting?"
"They're tryin' to take control of the humans and, consequently, our blood supply."
She had to keep asking questions to keep her mind occupied. "Why do they want to control humans?"
"The wolves believe they are the alpha species, and if they are in charge, they will bring about order. They want to make a perfect world."
She laughed and gently ran her hand through her hair, untangling a knot that had begun to form. "I have a difficult time believing that's what they really want," she said, smoothing her hair .
Ronan smiled. She understood. "Greedy, power-hungry bastards."
"They sound like Lord Holward," she remarked with a wry smile.
Ronan sputtered, laughing. "Very true."
"Do vampires have a leader?"
"Not really. We mostly keep each other in line. We all have a common goal, so there's rarely dissent."
"I see," Cora said slowly.
"This also means you will kill people," Ronan added.
Cora paused, letting the words sink in. “You mean werewolves?” she asked.
“Nope. Humans,” he replied. “It’s how you’ll eat.”
“What?” she gasped.
“You will be killing humans to drink their blood,” Ronan repeated slowly.
Every muscle in her body was rigid. It was as if she had been turned to stone. Her mind went numb as she struggled to form thoughts. “Have you killed anyone?" she managed to ask.
Ronan nodded. "It's part of our lifestyle. It does take a bit of gettin' used to."
"Killing innocent people?" she enunciated.
Ronan shrugged. "Humans die one way or another. Doesn't matter much how."
"How can you justify something like that?" She snapped.
Ronan shrugged again. "We don't.  There is no excuse for the things I've done, and there will be no excuse for the things you will do. But we come to accept it."
"Can’t you try to find a better way?" she implored.
Ronan stared at her, confused. "Why would we? It would get us nowhere. Besides, we're no worse than humans."
"I don't think so," Cora snorted.
"Oh?" He laughed. "Humans kill each other all the time over weird things like war, money, sex, and power. This isn't anythin' new."
She went quiet, letting her shoulders sag as she slumped against the seats. He’s not wrong, she realized. She hunched over and buried her head in her hands, trying to breathe deeply.
Ronan waited patiently as she processed this.
"But what would that make us? Monsters?" she asked, looking up.
"Vampires."

Whumptober Day 15
Magical Healing → following on from Day 2
Whumptober Masterlist | 15/31 of RK900 short stories ↳ on Ao3
Tags: Alternate Universe - Fantasy × Alternate Universe - Fae × Hurt/Comfort × Captivity × Recovery × Daniel & Simon are Twins × Witches × Witchcraft × Alternate Universe - Witchcraft × Connor & Upgraded Connor | RK900 are Siblings × Burns
A twig snaps in the distance, and Ronan’s heart leaps in his throat. Surging forward, he wraps his arms around Simon and kicks off the ground, beating his wings forcefully to fly them to safety.
The witch clings on for dear life, but even through his fear he takes care not to touch the ring of raw, burned flesh around Ronan’s neck. He keeps above the cloudline, dipping briefly every now and then to gain his bearings.
“There!” Simon shouts, pointing at a cottage at the foot of the hills. “That’s my home!” Ronan tucks his wings close to his body to begin their descent. He manages as gentle a landing as he can with his injured leg, and hobbles after Simon. The witch ushers him inside and busies himself with lighting a fire and finding his mortar and pestle to make fresh salve. The warmth is instantly soothing, and Ronan lowers himself into a hulking curl by the fire. He makes a soft pleased hum, and hears Simon giggle in reply.
The air fills with the scent of crushed herbs and the crackle of magic as the witch weaves healing spells into the mixture. It’s different from the magic he’s accustomed to, certainly not the Glamours used in Court nor the kind that bargains a soul in exchange for a favour. This is nature’s magic, and witchery.
Having spent the entirety of his life at the Rose Court, Ronan has never met a witch before. Their magic is too different from theirs, too honest, too literal unlike Fae magic which is grounded in trickery and treachery and falsehoods. Theirs is a deadly game with much to gain and more to lose. There’s no trickery, no treachery to be found in Simon, only truths.
When Ronan gets a good look at him, he wonders how he ever mistook that hunter for the witch his brother so reverently described. The witch has none of the malice, none of the cruelty of the hunter written into his skin. Simon bleeds love into his surroundings, something the witch may not even be aware of. The entire cottage is steeped in it, in every brick, every shelf, woven into the very fibres of each cloth. Such a trait would be disastrous at Court, but Ronan is not at Court, he is at the mercy of a witch who wears his heart on his sleeve.
Simon brings the mortar with him as he approaches Ronan. With careful fingers he spreads the paste over the raw skin, mindful to pause whenever he hisses in pain. He can feel the numbing properties in the salve and the tingle of the witch’s magic beginning to knit the burns on his neck together, and close the puncture wounds on his leg. Slowly, he lets out a shaky breath through clenched teeth and the witch gives him an encouraging smile.
“You’re alright, you’re doing so very well.” Simon hushes, setting the bowl aside and patting his hair in a soothing, repetitive gesture. “You’ll feel better in no time.”
When Ronan gets a good look at him, he realises the witch looks exhausted. Slowly reaching out, he slips an arm around Simon’s waist and pulls him onto its lap. The witch blinks up at him, blue eyes without fear. Unfurling his wings carefully, he tucks them around like a set of dark curtains as he cradles Simon close. He feels him shift, feels the witch press his ear to his broad feathered chest and slowly match his breathing. Simon closes his eyes, and Ronan does the same. Finally, he feels safe.

viii. Ash
A thin blade came to rest near the young woman’s throat, so that should she dare move an inch her main artery would be instantly sliced. But when the girl took another step it was as if the skin cracked like paper, and nothing came out. Tyssen didn’t notice this detail and, just as she was about to leap forward and take hold of Arnalt, the blade swiftly tore through her like a bolt of lightning.
Arnalt barely screamed “NO!”, before that entire body crumpled and cracked and suddenly burst into shreds floating all over the room while a flurry of powder sprung from her throat like a fountain, where the blood should’ve been. Arnalt had barely woken up, with no time to rush to Pallax or Tyssen’s side and cover their mouths, himself taking a gulp of the powder and coughing incessantly.
“What—cough—sire!” Pallax shouted.
It was like a hurricane had been unleashed within the tiny room and metal and wood clang and danced, the table with scissors and needles lifting and forcing Arnalt to jump from the bed towards the far stone wall, holding his shoulder with one hand.
All three instinctively closed their eyes. The illusion soon broke, the powder stopped slamming against their throats, and the body standing like a mass of crinkled parchment simply collapsed on the ground.
“This is—!” Arnalt wanted to explain but the quality of the air quickly changed and suddenly they were enveloped in a blue mist.
Tyssen and Pallax looked at each other, with Pallax being the first one to slam a palm to his face in annoyance. He gruffly mumbled. “Gala.”
Tyssen looked pale. Arnalt quickly comforted him. “It’s alright, it’s not your fault, that…” he looked at where the “girl” had been. “That was her best puppet yet.”
“I—“ Tyssen was shaking, feeling both responsible and the most afraid. Arnalt understood. The one most susceptible to Gala’s formidable spell would always be Tyssen, it was the nature of those with the most regrets, the most secrets in their heart, and the most painful pasts to bear. Tyssen had all three in spades. Arnalt never dared ask too much about Tyssen’s upbringing or how he’d lived before he came to train at his palace. But he knew enough by the shadow cast on his face to not pry. And the last time Gala had done this cruelty, Tyssen had been found curled up and shuddering, his arms scratched bloody by his own nails as he wailed in a corner.
“It’s just one of us that has to get through the maze, it’s alright if you stay here Tyssen.” Arnalt controlled his coughs.
“Sire, I should be the one to go this time, you’re injured.” Pallax squeezed Tyssen’s shoulder, which Arnalt found a bit rare, and started heading towards the door which now glowed in a faint purple light, or a deeper blue than the mist in the room. It was hard to tell, Arnalt’s eyes felt itchy and blurry, but he still shook his head resolutely and walked to block Pallax.
“This is just because of me, you two have nothing to do with it. Gala’s angry, you know how she gets.”
Tyssen was still shaking slightly, looking down with his fists clenched.
Pallax continued, “why would she be mad this time? You lost! Ithana won!”
Arnalt chuckled slightly and winced with the pain in his shoulder. “I still hurt her didn’t I?”
It had been subtle, barely there, but when that one hit had connected and Ithana widened her eyes slightly and praised him, her fingers vibrating at the impact before she applied full force and sent him flying to the other side of the arena, Arnalt knew that she’d only acted like it was nothing. To the outside world, it was as if he’d barely gotten one solid, but still useless, hit. In fact, he’d soundly cracked one of her spiritual veins, and the force she’d used to shove him was precisely because she’d freaked out so bad. The whole time, she’d been slightly afraid that he’d managed to do that. With the King present, with her own name on the line, she’d then been so brutal to his arm but at least let him keep it. The injury hurt but it would heal eventually.
And sure, it wasn’t the time to feel cocky, but it’s not like he hadn’t improved and was glad he could finally show it to her, even if it meant that now Gala was enraged.
He opened the door and a hallway, endlessly white beckoned him. “It doesn’t seem to be a nightmare this time, just a mirage or something. I’ll go ahead and as soon as I solve the maze, we’ll return.” He glanced at Tyssen. “Pallax, take care.” … of him, he wanted to finish, but didn’t have to. Pallax nodded and put a single arm around Tyssen, even more concerned than what Arnalt had anticipated. He wanted to ask some questions when he returned.
Arnalt passed through the threshold of that door and was immediately spirited into a familiar mirage. His palace, near the kitchens, next to the training grounds. A long figure stood in the center practicing his form. His lips curled up a bit, and he leaned against the wall to watch.
“Alright Gala, I know you’re angry but think about my arm? Ithana paid me back tenfold, she should be fine after ten days, but what about me?” He spoke absent-mindedly to the air, chuckling slightly at the sight of Marius, again, tripping over a complicated combination and falling on his face. Another thin chuckle erupted to the side and he found a younger version of himself was also leaning against the opposite wall, his face equally rapt with the sight.
He hadn’t seen what his face looked like when he was appraising Marius, but now that he could stare, he found that it was a little bit cold, a little bit wicked, and a tiny bit soft. It was jarring to see himself this way. He knew which memory Gala was plucking this dream from, though he didn’t know why.
Suddenly his face turned sour, and in a minute, he would see that sour expression reflected on his younger self.
Footsteps approached and a few people clad in the most exquisite of attires surrounded Marius. The boy was still trying to get his bearings when a the practice sword he was using got swiped abruptly from his hand and broken clean in two.
“Arnalt, what is the meaning of this?” A deep, velvety voice calmly drifted to his younger self. “Sword arts? Since when do our servants practice sword arts?”
“I gave him permission.” A young Arnalt replied.
“Your permission has no authority when I’m here.” This person, whose voice became deeper and richer the more he lowered it, forcing everyone into an uncomfortable silence just to hear him, was a member of the High Council; the one known as Phoenix Rain, the words on his hilt spelling out clearly “Rebirth”—his Highness the crown prince, Ronan.
“Whatever punishment you might have for him should still fall on me.” That younger self of his walked firmly to stand in front of the even younger Marius, who at that point was wide-eyed and shaking. No wonder. Ronan was a large man, the shadow of a beard always clinging to his wide square chin, a scar on his eye and long refined nose did the bare minimum to give him a human appearance, because the rest were harsh lines like a carved gargoyle. He looked endlessly bored and naturally malicious. His armor was a second skin and though he didn’t wear it now, even the casual robes he wore to take a stroll somehow glinted like metal and chain. Upon closer look, it wasn’t too far off. Ronan wore a chainmail frock, casual, aware, that any moment someone might strike from the inner family and claim the title… just as he had.
“Boy, I could crush your skull.”
“I’m no threat to you brother, I’m not even a top ten contender, so just how satisfying would that be?” Arnalt realized his younger self did indeed look overly presumptuous and cocky.
“You dare call me that.” Ronan wouldn’t humor him by repeating it. In a flash, this dear older “brother” of his struck him so hard with the back of his palm Arnalt coughed blood on the floor and had to choke back his sobs. Marius had immediately rushed forward, like a tiny beast and Ronan simply lifted him by the neck and threw him soundly towards the well. With a bump he bounced off the edge and into the orifice. Arnalt heard the scratches and bangs before he splashed below.
“He looked a little thirsty. Consider that generous.” Ronan wiped his hands. “Arnalt, I know the Opal favors you, and Father looks away because you have that precious face of yours… but I won’t tolerate your breaking the Azurian mandates. Your mercy keeps the Kurian alive, but that doesn’t mean he’ll want to live when I’m through.”
Arnalt, the present one, hadn’t noticed when his fists clenched so ruthlessly his nails broke skin. He felt the blood on his hands. He abhorred this memory.
He’d been powerless to stand and do anything and was only praying that Marius knew how to swim.
It was then that his attention was drawn to the young maid who came over and bowed deeply to the prince. “Magnanimous Lord, Light of the Eastern Aurora, your guest has arrived.”
Ronan shifted his tunic slightly and gave her a sweeping glance, then turned with his retinue and was on his way. All Arnalt remembered after that were some fuzzy noises, some “quickly, quickly!” And the sound of rope, pulling and heaving. But watching the scene unfold and gradually turn grey as his consciousness faded, he realized his mind retained more information than he’d thought. Like the fact that this maid looked awfully familiar…
He saw her call over others but no one dared to come. Saw her lift his young body and carry him to a wooden bench, laying him there carefully, softly placing a wet compress on his head. Saw the “splash” he remembered, as she took a rope and dived into the well. Moments later she brought out a crying Marius. She was soaked to the bone and heaving. He’d thought others had come, but it turns out no one had helped her. And the last thing he remembers, the last thing he heard… “You, come here.” His brother’s voice before he’d passed out.
Her face. It was the same face of that puppet in the medical room that burst like paper and turned to ash.
His soul turned cold. This was definitely a mirage maze.
But this was not done by Gala.

Endgame Timelines
(except I don’t cry at the end)
Disclaimer: I have never read the comics, I am basing everything off of what I've seen in the MCU films and fans online that know more about the stones than I do. Add in my limitless optimism and you get this monstrosity!
What would happen if Tony hadn't been the one to snap away Thanos and his army? Would Peter Parker, the only other avenger with a Stark original nanotech suit, be the one to snap instead?
Let me show you what I think would have happened if Tony survived Endgame and Peter Parker saved the universe.
Below the cut:
what could happen to peter parker
how tony fixes everything
how I think the stones should all be returned after endgame
Peter Parker and the Gauntlet
Of course, something to address immediately would be Peter's probability of survival. We've seen Tom Holland's Peter Parker lift a fallen building's debris from himself and swing away afterwards. Since Peter hasn't been shot, or severely impaled, I don't have much of a reference to go by in terms of healing and regeneration, and he's certainly not on par with Deadpool in that department. BUT, I do have reference of Infinity Snaps from the Hulk, Tony, and Thanos himself. Hulk is strong, sure, and isn't all that fazed by radiation, since that was what created him. However, he was easily beaten by Thanos, and was injured just by wearing a gauntlet that held all six stones. The snap completely destroyed his arm. For Thanos, wielding the full gauntlet only caused a surge in energy but his body was intact. The snap itself left his arm injured but not completely immobile. The arm doesn't reach that point until snapping a second time to destroy the stones. To an average human like Tony, the snap cost his life. But we KNOW all this. What we don't know is how it translates to anyone other than these three.
As a mutant, where does that leave Peter on the spectrum? Does using the stones leave a wound that will never heal, destined to be that way by the rules of the stones? Nothing is for free, right? My theory is that Peter would have a different experience. Do I want to see him in pain? Hell no. While our reality is that Spider-Man must move on in a universe without Tony Stark, I can't help but dream up endings a little more happy. So, what if? What if the one who will recover the easiest from using the stones is our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man?
I would venture that the kid would be in intensive care under Helen Cho's watch. This woman has worked with super soldiers like Steve Rogers, created the cradle from Avengers: Age of Ultron. The avengers trust her with their lives. Tony wouldn't want anyone else to take care of Peter, because she would be the one to keep him alive. Not to mention, Peter heals quickly. The biggest issue may be understanding his metabolism well enough to administer antibiotics, pain killers, and other nutrients that his body would need to support his mutated healing abilities.
Peter is in the hospital and Tony needs something to keep himself occupied while waiting for his kid to wake up.
Tony Stark and the Plan to Return the Stones
Anthony Edward Stark is not going to sit on his ass if there is a problem that needs solving. With everyone back besides Vision and Natasha, he's got a team that can execute the return of the stones perfectly. Even one thing out of place and alternate timelines are created.
Tony gets Dr. Strange to rewind time on the compound. It would be great if that could go back to not being rubble, you know?
Then he gets to work, getting the rundown from everyone.
What state were all the stones in when they were taken from the past?
What was Steve doing in 2012 after he left Loki and the others in the tower?
Where did he get the Pym particles from at the base?
When did Clint wake up with the soul stone in his hand?
Where was Natasha's body after she became the sacrifice?
Where did Rhodey and Nebula leave Quill?
Would it be so bad to leave the power stone on Morag now that Thanos cannot reach it there?
Will Gamora of 2014 want to go back to her own time or stay here?
Will Gamora want to stay if they manage to get her back alive from Vormir? Two Gamora's?
Where was the hammer before Thor summoned it?
What do they have to do to get the Aether back into Jane?
He has a lot of questions, a lot of witnesses and resources, and a need for a distraction.
First thing he needs to do? Get as much information about the stones from Dr. Strange as possible.
any theories involving the actual powers and abilities of the stones are suuuuper yada yada-ed in some places because I have a very basic understanding of biology, atomic composition, time travel, neurological functions, artificial intelligence, etc. - they're flimsy in some places and I'm not sure how to fix that
Can the pocket universe in the Soul stone be accessed? Does it hold only Nat and Gamora's souls? Would they need their bodies to return the souls to? Would it just be easier to collect their bodies from Vormir and turn back time on them, too? Would their souls even be in their bodies anymore, or would they just be husks? Would taking their bodies back to the present create an alternate timeline that prevents their new alternate selves to be able to retrieve Nat or Gamora? Is it important enough to them to screw with another timeline like that? Will they have their bodies restored once they're puled from the stone?
Now, my understanding of the stones stems from the movies and an explanation I came across on Quora while researching the stones.
"To combat [their] weaknesses they all feed into each other and make each other more powerful. Also as a general weakness they will destroy most mortals without the use of a vessel (Infinity gauntlet, Ronan's hammer Etc) The Time stone makes each stone's effects permanent as well as permeate time. The Reality stone makes the others affect the world itself as opposed to just an aspect of the universe. The Power stone's raw power acts as a battery for the rest of them and amplifies their power. The Soul stone gives power over the souls of everyone the user comes across. The Space stone makes the effects of the other stones universe wide. The Mind stone allows the user complete control of the minds of everyone in the universe."
Another tidbit about the Soul stone that I found was this:
"Allows the user to steal, control, manipulate, and alter living and dead souls; as well as animate the motionless. The Soul Gem also acts as a gateway to an idyllic pocket universe. At full potential, when backed by the Power Gem, the Soul Gem grants the user control over all life in the universe."
Can't make an omelet without cracking a few eggs. With the combination of the Power, Time, Space, and Reality stones they get Natasha and Gamora out of the Soul stone. It is a stretch, considering Hulk said he had tried to get Natasha back. I think maybe using the Soul stone puts up a bit of a roadblock. How well can the Soul stone resist the effects of the other stones when it isn't being used, then? Say you use the Space stone to move the women out of the pocket universe? (Maybe it is possible to rebuild or reshape them to how they used to be by using the Space stone, same concept as Thanos changing the Aether to the Reality stone using the Space and Time stones). Using the Reality and Time stones to solidify their existence in that time and space in the universe, they could bend reality to make it so. The Power stone will juice up the other three, surely allowing them to push past boundaries they couldn't on their own. And if it takes a little tinkering with a juiced-up Soul stone to get them both fully restored, then so be it. Whatever it takes to get them back.
Now… vision is an incredibly complicated puzzle to solve. What IS left after the stone is removed? If Shuri had been allowed enough time, what would have changed for Vision? My gut tells me that his best chance lies in the hands of Shuri and Dr. Strange. Vision has just been hooked up to Shuri's tech in Wakanda. Five years later she still has the scans she made, still remembers what she had to do. So Dr. Strange takes them back to right before Thanos' General attacks Shuri and her guard, taking Vision with him. Instead of letting that play through, Strange pauses time, leaving himself and Shuri to find what made Vision tick, remove the stone and see what is left, what they need to substitute in as replacement for the Mind stone. They gather all the information housed in Vision's body. Every piece that came from Jarvis, Stark, Banner, Thor, Ultron, the Mind stone. How can that be recreated to be able to house Vision's memories and consciousness, again? Restoring him to minutes before Thanos took the stone from his head is the end goal. Once Shuri has all the data she needs, they turn back time on Vision, leave him back on the table, and resume time before jumping back to their present. They'll need the cradle again, some more vibranium, some help from Helen Cho and Thor's lightning. Would complete reconstruction and an upload of consciousness work without the stone? Obviously, the flying and the strength and all his other powers from the stone would be gone, but is it really so bad to have a chance at being normal?
They have their lost family back now. But they cannot rest yet. What else do they need the stones for before they can send them back to where they came from?
Can they be used to heal Peter? Have they already weakened themselves from using them so much? Is there anyone else that can wield them and help to restore what was lost after half the population vanished and everything became overwhelming to maintain? The plan for returning them was set, they're left with a lot of time to use the stones for some good. Can Captain Marvel offer more help to others in the universe? Surely, Earth isn't the only place that desperately needed help in the aftermath. I assume she will do what she can, holding more hope than in canon, since losing Tony left most of them… less than motivated to get back into hero-ing.
Danvers did what she needed to with the stones. Time to start their return plan.
All the stones need to be returned to how they looked when they were taken.
Thanos used the Space and Power stones to change the Aether from its weird wiggly form into an actual stone. Great, let's undo that. Should we use the Time stone or the Space and Power stones? Either will work? Dope, done and done, moving on.
The scepter and its case are around the compound somewhere, Vision doesn’t need the stone anymore, let's pack it in there. Same with the weird orb thing Rhodey brought the Power stone back in. Let's get those packed and they'll be ready to go.
Mjolnir: check. Aether: check. Scepter: check. Power Orb: check. Space, Soul, and Time stones: check, check, check. (Dr. Strange will be hanging onto that Time stone until the last mission, though)
Now we know from Avengers: Endgame that each capsule of Pym Particles will give you two jumps. They can go from the present to the past, then the past to the present. After that they have to refuel. With that established, my estimate would be that they would need to use AT LEAST 19 capsules, not accounting for spares in case of an emergency.
So, Hank Pym, mind making those? We need them to fix our time travel mess. Thanks, pal.
Back in Time, Right on Time
Tony doesn't need everyone to make this go smoothly. He can work with a smaller pool of people.
Clint is not going back, not to Vormir, not to anywhere. He will stay in the present with Nat and his family.
His blue meanie, Nebula, is staying with him. He will not subject her to the pain of sharing her network with another Nebula from a different time, not again.
Tony himself will not be leaving. He will be right here, coordinating everything. Some of them will be leaving at the same time. Others have multiple trips they're going to make. No one makes a second jump until they have checked back in with him. They'll restock their suits, get some food and rest, gather the things they need to return, and venture back out.
No Avenger is going to be sent back to a time that will trigger bad memories from their pasts.
Many candidates and teams were dismissed pretty early. They're abilities may have been ideal, but if their personalities did not mix well, Tony could not risk the messes that incompatibility could cause.
For this to work, the best chance of success for the return of every stone and avoiding any offshoot timelines will require these Avengers: Captain Rogers, Thor, Dr. Strange, The Wasp, Mantis, Scarlet Witch, and Ant-Man. Stay tuned because we're going to need one surprise extra along the way, but more on that later.
To know where to go first, Tony first had to figure out who messed up the worst, and needed the most stones to complete the mission.
 Loki's Vanishing Act
Let's start with Loki taking the Tesseract in NYC 2012. It is essentially a surefire way to change pretty much everything we know about the MCU. So how is Tony going to fix that Royal Whoops? Well, it's not going to be easy. To ensure that Loki and the Tesseract are sent back to Asgard with Thor, Tony will send the Wasp and Ant-Man to keep the Tesseract close to a collapsed Tony Stark and Thor, and away from Loki, Endgame Tony and Scott, and the slimy Alexander Pierce. If anyone besides Thor got the Tesseract then, Tony and Steve would never go to the army base even further in the past. Best not to mess with that.
 Really? Hail Hydra?
Now that Loki is once again in custody of the Avengers, we'll follow Captain America taking the Scepter from NYC in 2012.
(Enjoy the layout of this one, because there's so much to it I don't want to make this into more of a story than a presentation. You'll take all my bullet points and you'll like them, damn it.)
Triggers for alternate timelines:
Tricking Hydra into thinking he was their ally
Prematurely informing his 2012 self of Bucky being alive
Removing the Mind stone from the scepter (this one couldn't really be helped, you're okay Steve)
Conclusion: a seamless return without creating any alternate timelines will be enough to give me a migraine. (Tony probably had one, too, after learning everything Steve said to get his way to the scepter and out of the tower)
So, how does he plan to fix it? By sending the Wasp, Scarlet Witch, and Mantis.
Elevator Mess
Upon arriving at Stark Tower in NYC 2012, Hope shrinks the scepter, along with Wanda and Mantis. Their job is to follow Steve Rogers and clean up after him.
One "Hail Hydra" later, Hope carries Wanda to where she can erase the memories of all those in the elevator. Captain America is not with Hydra, he never entered that elevator, and he never took the scepter.
Last step here is to take the scepter they've brought and leave it exactly where Cap took the original from.
America's Ass
The reason Cap even had to fight himself is because Loki escaping disrupted the timeline, pulling 2012 Cap from search and rescue and back to the tower to hunt down Loki.
With Loki secured, Wanda has to manipulate 2012 Cap into still believing that Loki got away. After disabling his communications, they send him on his way.
His "I have eyes on Loki," never reaches anyone, and once they've fallen and Steve has knocked 2012 Cap unconscious, Wanda goes about erasing his memory of learning about Bucky. (Does Wanda get a video of "that's America's ass," to make fun of him with later? It's a mystery, truly, we'll never know)
Search and Rescue
They leave after returning 2012 Cap to the ground floor and waking him up (Thanks Mantis, I love you), sending him to resume search and rescue as if nothing had happened.
 Ghosts of the Past
When Tony brings up Vormir, Steve volunteers. He won't let Clint, Banner, or Quill go. He was close to Natasha, spent the last five years with her. He wanted the chance to rid them of the stone that tried to take her from them. He knew that the other three didn't need the pain that would hit them should they see the place where the women they love had almost been lost to them.
What no one accounted for was Steve knowing who had been guiding people to the stone all this time. Facing Red Skull was not what Steve had expected. If it weren't so terrifying to see him again it would be almost comical. But there was nothing here to fix. He'd watched as Clint's craft took off, returning back to the others with the stone and without Nat. He handed the Soul stone off, tapped the device on his wrist twice, and went home.
 Frigga Knows All
Steve doesn't talk about the last mission, so they move on to the next one. Tony sends Wanda and Steve to Asgard with Mjolnir and the Aether. They can't change that Thor told his mother the truth, but they can stop the Asgardians chasing Rocket and erase their memories of the raccoon. Disruption handled, Wanda goes to return the Aether to where it resided inside Jane. A very unfortunate place for it to be, but she knew she couldn't make any changes. So she returned it and left to find Cap, who had found where Thor pulled the hammer from and put it back. Rocket and Thor had gone back, and now Cap and Wanda could, too.
 The God of Mischief
All of the Avengers were familiar with the Tesseract. Turns out it was just a cosmic cube used to contain the power of the Space stone. Interesting twist, for sure. But Thanos crushed the cube, and without it, they couldn't get the Tesseract back to Howard Stark's labs. At least the Pym Particles were a simple mission.
(Buckle up, I'm bringing back the bullet points)
Triggers to alternate timelines:
SHIELD suddenly having the Space stone rather than the Tesseract
Hank Pym losing important pieces of his research
Army base employee reporting Tony and Steve to bunker security
Conclusion: only the best of the best could twist this situation back to where it needs to be.
Tony's plan went something like this:
Saving a god
Thor and Dr. Strange go to retrieve Loki from the wreckage of the Asgardian ship
They work together to gather all those lost onto a nearby planet.
Once all the Asgardians have been found, Dr. Strange turns back time on the ship and on those gathered, bringing them back.
Using the Time, Space, and Power stones, Dr. Strange opens a portal that takes the Asgardians and their ship to the present in Norway, where the rest of their people reside.
Thor returns to the present, knowing Valkyrie was already in Norway, prepared to receive everyone.
Fooling a King
Dr. Strange keeps Loki with him, being the only one they've known to be able to contain Loki and see through his tricks. Loki doesn't give him any reasons to contain him, though.
An extra quantum realm suit and some Pym Particles given to Loki, and they jump to a time well before Loki had even learned he was the stolen prince of Jotunheim.
Together, they take the Tesseract from Odin's vault and hide it away.
Loki disguises himself as a young Thor and "confesses" to breaking the Tesseract, presenting the Space stone to Odin.
The Space stone is soon contained once again in a cosmic cube, an exact replica of the Tesseract Thanos had crushed, and returned to the vault.
Not wanting to risk anything, they replace the hidden Tesseract, retrieve the repaired cube, and jump back in time once more.
Returning Particles
Dr. Strange opens a portal in the basement of the bunker, watching as Howard Stark and "Howard Potts" leave the room.
The Tesseract is returned to the container Tony took it from and they were quickly through the next portal
Steve Rogers was gone and Hank Pym had yet to return
The capsules of Pym Particles were placed in the empty space left by Cap.
Mission complete, Loki and Dr. Strange returned to the Avengers Compound.
  Can't Really Fix This One
There was one alternate timeline that Tony would never be able to fix, not that he would ever want to. The Thanos from 2014 brought his army and his daughters with him to end the Avengers of the present and take the stones for himself.
But once he and his armies were snapped away, there was no one to return back to 2014. They were gone. Nebula had no idea if Gamora had vanished along with all the others on the ships that brought her to a different time. Well, if they ever run into her, they'll offer her the chance to go back to the time she left, should she wish to return.
All that could really be done was send Wanda and Mantis to put the orb back in the temple, give Quill back his lockpick, toss him in front of the temple and wake him up. Maybe he would run into this Korath guy he mentioned, maybe he won't, considering he was a lackey to Ronan, one of those Thanos used to do his bidding. A Thanos that was no longer there. Either way, Quill wasn't just left for dead. He may never meet Gamora, but he still had other adventures to go on, other people to meet.
 It's Finally Over
The Ancient One was taking down Chitauri before Hulk showed up. Steve would follow her attack patterns and range, because once Hulk showed up to get the stone, she would be distracted, and the Chitauri she would have stopped would continue on into NYC.
After Hulk had left with the Time Stone, Steve immediately approached the Ancient One and handed her the stone. They shared a look of understanding, she turned to rejoin the fight, and Steve left the rooftop to return home for the last time.
and they all lived happily ever after, the end, happy hanukkah, goodnight - Rallow <3

The messenger have arrived for the purpose of sharing what is essential to be seen. Here is Miki-chan, again, bringing you a masterpiece that you’ll gladly like and devour the minute you see it. Well, if you’re taste is just like mine, you will be pleasured to discover this amazing and brilliant movie.
I will describe this movie according to my opinion. How I view it depends on how it captured my soul and my heart. And I’ll be warning you, this recommendation will have spoilers for I, 10000% loved this movie.
As you noticed from my previous recommendations, I have grown a special liking for stories set on early days like 80′s, 90′s and whensoever. But this, it was set on the time of the American Civil war which was very much earlier than what I like. I was so thrilled to see how was life back then. How simple yet so scary. I was saddened by the truth that women really was seen small during the old days. Maybe that is why I really liked the personality of the March sisters, especially Jo.
Josephine March fought hard for her principle. Her eagerness to show the world how women are not just about love, chores and getting married left me astonished. Her dedication to prove what women are capable of made a great impact on me.
There are just two things that I don’t adore about her and those were 1) how her philosophy poisoned her life. Well, it is great to fight for your honor and so, but what’s not good is to ignore something you ought to do and not accept what you ought to have just to prove your point. That is why regrets and what ifs come. 2) how her emotions get the best of her. Emotions were one of the reasons why we regret decisions we made.
Though I do not adore those two things, I really loved how it opened her mind. It knocked the hell out of her that life isn’t just about career and earning money without the help of a husband. Happiness isn’t only attained when you have proved your beliefs to the people and to yourself. And loneliness isn’t only experienced by those who dream of loving and being loved. Even if you never wanted love, even if Jo didn’t wish of love, still, she’ll wait for someone who’ll love her. Every human needs someone who can love and appreciate them for who they are.
Jo’s struggle after her realization made me sad. I was very sad. I never could imagine something like that happening to me. I will never hope of something like that happening to me because God knows how much painful it is for my little heart to take. But yeah, consequences are made to show people that they made a mistake and that they should learn from it. So it was really a nice catch.
The feeling I have felt about Laurie and Amy, I didn’t expect it’ll be positive. I think the reason why I loved it was because they were both yearning for somebody to reciprocate their feelings. The way Amy healed Laurie was so nice to watch. Even if he was sort of a jerk after being brokenhearted, Amy still loved him. Despite of him loving Jo as if there was no tomorrow, Amy still loved him. Of all the fortune in the world, Amy loved him. And it was nice seeing Laurie slowly loving Amy. Slowly but surely.
But hell yeah I am sad for Jo. Jo why would you realize something so effing lateeee argh!! I know for a fact that Laurie marrying Amy instead of her was for the greater good. They’d kill each other if they ended up being together for they are used to do what they usually do. A best of friends thing, not best of lovers. But it’s just that I think she did love Laurie. It’s just that she’s too scared to give up her pride by admitting she loved Laurie.
I also loved the sisters’ relationship. Meg, Jo, Amy and Beth had the greatest bond I have ever seen. Their love for each other was lovely. Circumstances are inevitable, quarrels are part of having siblings. But developing a deep bond between your sisters are not that easy that is why I think them being close was so lovely and dreamy.
Beth March represented something more wiser. Her love of staying with her family was the thing I was certainly most happy about. Her contentment on playing for her family was beautiful. She never dreamt of going big, unlike her sisters despite being talented, because she was contented and happy that her family appreciates and love her music. Her character was simple but melancholic. Her kindness made her death even more sorrowful.
Meg March’s struggle of wanting something that she couldn’t afford was a strong symbol of how fragile women are to envy. Sallie being able to buy everything she wanted made Meg hope she was like that. Tired of being poor was all she felt but it was overcome by the strength of her love for his husband. It was a representation of how women are weak to envy but weaker to love. Women can forget all about material things because their love is much more stronger.
The story also showed the power of insecurity. Jo and Amy have showed a little bit of competition. Amy thought that she was always second to Jo when in fact she was the best in everything she is good at. She focused on something she lacked but wanted to possess that can be seen in Jo. It fueled her insecurities.
But then again, I was saddened when everything Jo had slowly became Amy’s. The trip to Europe and Laurie. I know Amy deserved those but Jo deserved being in the trip also! She was so happy when she heard that Laurie was from Europe and Aunt March would like to bring her as a companion to the capital. But when the Amy said that it was going to be her, the companion I mean, I felt Jo’s sadness. It was hard not to show sadness but she controlled it just to not hurt her sister’s feelings and spoil her fun. I almost cried for Jo. I really was sad.
I also loved how their mother cared for the poor and the pitied. The feeling of helping is fulfilling.
Of course, I will not forget that this is a movie review! So I have to praise the cast of Little Women! Saoirse Ronan, Timothee Chalamet, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh and the others, did an amazing job in portraying the characters. Their acting was superb!
The place of the shooting, it took my soul away! It was so pretty! The clothes, the transition, everything in the movie was good. But the story, A GODDAMN MASTERPIECE!
It is definitely my number 1 list on movies as of now hahahah! Or I will give it more thought. Which one do I like best, CMBYN or LW?
Anyway, I’ll give it a 10/10 for I really love this story!
