Time to question our lifestyle, look how we live; Smokin’ weed like it ain’t no thing, so even kids Wanna try now, then lie down and get ran through - Nobody watches ‘em clockin’ the evil man do. Faced with the demons, addicted to hearin’ victims screamin’; Guess we was evil since birth, product of cursed semens. ‘Cause even our birthdays is cursed days; A born thug in the first place, the worst ways.

The Isley Brothers have sold over 18 million units in the United States alone. With their first major hit charting in 1959 ("Shout"), and their last one in 2001 ("Contagious"), they are among the few groups ever to have hit the Billboard Hot 100 with new music in six different decades. Sixteen of their albums charted in the Top 40 and thirteen of those albums have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum by the RIAA. The brothers have been honored by several musical institutions, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which inducted them in 1992. Five years later, they were added to Hollywood's Rockwalk, and in 2003 they were inducted to the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. They received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.

by Marlon West (FB: marlon.west1 Twitter: @marlonw IG: stlmarlonwest Spotify: marlonwest) Happy Black History Month, you all. Now it might seem counterintuitive to use my February offering to feature and honor Burt Bacharach, who died on February 8 at age 94. Isley Brothers Co-founder Rudolph Isley Dies at 84
Rudolph Isley, who co-founded the Isley Brothers with his siblings in 1955, has died.
Isley was 84; no cause was given.
“Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Rudolph Isley,” band co-founder Ronald Isley and Ernie Isley, who joined in 1969, said in a statement.
“ … Remember to hold your loved ones close. We will miss our brother but we know he’s in a better place.”
The band, which also included the late O’Kelly, Vernon and Marvin Isley at various points, scored hits across several decades, including “Shout,” “Twist and Shout,” “This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You),” “It’s Your Thing” and “That Lady.”
“The (Isley Brothers) navigated every cultural shift with skill, responding to emerging styles and trends with new sounds and always another hit,” the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which inducted the group in 1992, said in a remembrance.
Rudolph Isley left the band in 1989 to become a preacher, leaving Ronald and Ernie to carry on. They released their most-recent album in 2002 and continue to tour.
“May Rudolph Isley rest in peace and love,” Todd Rundgren’s Spirit of Harmony Foundation said.

Soul musicians also like to do the similar things in their late careers as their peers in the other genres. Sometimes they even find a way to do something together with the latter. For instance, the Isley Brothers collaborated with Santana recently and while this doesn't sound like a bad suggestion – Santana does work well with R&B singers –, their Power Of Peace didn't bring both of these groups outside their current comfort zones, i.e. the facsimiles of their best years with some moments that do capture them. A major reason here might be that the cooperators are protective of their brands at this point, so they don't attempt to do anything drastic, though that might've been the best option. They've achieved so much, why do they have to lose at that point in a case they go crazy?
