Going back to the Roman Polanski petition and the Epstein files, just the ones I’ve seen so far, it’s so incredibly disheartening seeing how many entertainers and people I generally held in positive regard are on these lists. There is, of course, the chance they didn’t know anything and were just shuttled around as being famous rich people, but...man. They’re on the same list as people we know are cretins, so there’s no way of actually knowing who is and isn’t good. It’s like trying to tell which porn is and isn’t consensual, you just can’t.

Happy 75th Birthday actor Brian Denis Cox born June 1st 1946 in Dundee.
It’s often said, oor wee country Scotland punches above it’s weight and it is certainly true with the number of quality actors we have, Brian Cox is certainly up their with them.
The youngest of five children, he was born on 1st June 1946 to an Irish and Scottish descent family in Dundee. His father, a mill worker, died when Brian was eight, after which his mother suffered a series of nervous breakdowns and was eventually hospitalised.
Brought up by his eldest sister and an aunt, Brian was drawn to acting after he got a job helping backstage at Dundee Rep. He worked there for two years, then trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. After a spell in regional repertory, he made his London stage debut as Orlando in As You Like It in June 1967.
Cox first came to attention in the early 1970s with performances in numerous television shows and films including the role of James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Bothwell in a TV movie Bothwell, the shows Sutherlands Law, The Master of Ballantrae, in the 80’s he was in Minder, Crown Court and Scotland’s Story, we also saw Brian head for the USA as the first Hanibal Lector in Manhunter and in Scotland he was in the excellent film Shoot for the Sun with Jimmy Nail.
His first big break was as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the aforementioned Manhunter . The film was not overly successful at the box office, although Cox’s career prospects and popularity continued to develop. Through the 1990s, he appeared in nearly 20 films and television series, as well as making numerous television guest appearances. Two Scottish roles in Rob Roy, as Killearn, then Braveheart as Argyle Wallace brought Brian to a much bigger audience.
Hollywood roles followed, the most notable were in The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy as well as Super Troopers and the sequal Super Troopers 2 as well as 25th Hour. Cox never turned his back on Scotland though, making appearances on our small screen in Bob Servant and Shetland, he was also in the film The Flying Scot about cyclist Graeme Obree.
I could be here all day giving all the shows and films Brian Cox has appeared in, in his personal life he has 4 children two to his first wife, and 2 his second wife, he is a patron of The Scottish Youth Theatre and an “ambassador” for the Screen Academy Scotland, he was twice elected Rector of the University of Dundee by students in his home town, as well as holding an honorary doctorate from Napier University in Edinburgh, awarded in July 2008. Finally on 14 April 2012, Cox was the 10th grand marshal of the New York City Tartan Day Parade
I could be here all day giving all the shows and films Brian Cox has appeared in so will only tell of his most recent. Last year he did a great monologue as John Rebus in a one-off short film set in lockdown Edinburgh, “Lockdown Blues. He has also been appearing in the American satirical comedy-drama Succession. Next up is a film called The Jesuit, co-starring Ron Perlman and Tim Roth and an Audio film series called Unsinkable with John Malkovich

OVER 100 RELIGIOUS LEADERS STAND FOR MAUNA KEA
WE who live in the Hawaiian Islands and call them home are challenged today and in the future to care for them so that those of Hawaiian ancestry as well as those of us who have affection for this special place continue to serve and care for the land and her people with authenticity and integrity.
The current test that we face for both the preservation and future use of Mauna Kea is but the latest of many that force us to take sides. To many, the choices seem insurmountable which is why we who lead and stand with our communities of faith must stand tall (Ku Kanaka) and provide the light of insight that will bring about peace and resolution to the stalemate of interests that present themselves on today on the Sacred Mountain.
Mauna Kea is a sacred space. It is wao akua—place of the gods, it is the mountain of God. It is understood asthe genesis point of the Hawaiian people, where sky father Wakea met with earth mother Papahanaumoku.
The controversy surrounding the TMT telescope continues to highlight the struggle of native peoples to protect and preserve their sacred sites from desecration.
We the undersigned have a responsibility not to stay silent in the face of injustice. We are not against science or scientific research. But it should be done in an appropriate location.
Building one more gigantic telescope on our sacred mountain might harm the natural environment, and the spiritual integrity. In light of recent arrest of kupuna, in the act of peaceful civil disobedience, the questionable telescope project is certainly harming the deep peace of our Hawaiian community!
Some may disagree, but we believe the mountain belongs to the Kanaka maoli. It is part of their homeland.
And they must have a say about what to do and what not to do on their sacred land! We offer our prayers in solidarity with all our kanaka maoli sisters and brothers who feel oppressed, bullied, and not listened to.
We pray for a deeper understanding of this very important issue. We pray for the people who insist to build in the midst of the loud outcry & the deep pain of our Kanaka maoli community. We pray for ourselves and all religious people and organizations to take action and join with others to right the wrongs.

Credit where credit is due, Dead Town is ambitious. However, neither the budget or talent matches it.

Buenas noches gente? en que están? ya planearon algo para hoy, mañana o el sábado? parece que hay mucho por hacer... pero se necesita tiempo y dinero! así que veremos que procede este fin de semana! yo acabo de almorzar en casa! me prepare un Omelet, chorizos, arroz y café bien cargado para pasar la noche escuchando música aquí en la caverna! así que ya sabes ! si me buscan ando en casa!
Novedades no muchas! Alfonso (Abogado y contador de mi Firma) esta tramitando algunos documentos de jurisprudencia civil y fiscal! con el Aval de Lord William y Lord Felipe! el a estado enviando algunos documentos a Gran Bretaña y Madrid - España, con permisos que necesita el Testamento aquí en Perú! de hecho estos folios son pasantías que necesita el testamento aquí en Perú para el tramite y traspaso de bienes! así que a esperar! ya esta semana... ah empezado el tramite! ya que los permisos ya estaban firmados pero necesitan la respuesta de el Rey para poder proceder a la lectura del testamento! así que nada a esperar... !
Bueno al parecer Ale ya regreso de Francia con regalos y nada van a organizar una recepción en el Castillo de Francisco (San Isidro) Belicka, esta en casa! llego de Bogotá, así que ya se queda en Lima en compañia de sus Primas y Amigas, la casa esta llena! bueno si se preguntan que será de mi? pues nada, voy por unas chils y me quedo en mi cavernita! haciendo platica y compartiendo con Daniel (Tutor y Rector de Bellas Artes) que es como mi padre y una de las personas que mas Quiero! así que nada a descansar que ya se viene el sábado! veremos que sale!
