Those wily French are at it again! He could feel his soul withering, fleeing from his body in a panic. But no matter. King has been stumped before and he has overcome his obstacles: he will rise to the challenge again. Frowning hard in concentration, he lifts up his pen again. Perhaps...could it be...well, he could try it, certainly, but who knows if it will work...well, it’s worth a shot...

Mission accomplished! Sighing in relief, he gets himself another horchata. After all, translating is such a subtle, complex, nuanced art requiring a great deal of contemplation and thought. So hard.

Who said “I love you” first: Mercutio. He had to. Romeo is so clueless all the time they would have just gone around in circles forever otherwise xD

Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background: ...I was gonna say Mercutio, but, honestly, the boy has at least some pride lol. But this is totally the kind of sappy thing Romeo would do, so Romeo.

Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror: Mercutio, because child.

Who buys the other cheesy gifts: Romeo.

Who initiated the first kiss: Mercutio.

Who kisses the other awake in the morning: They both do, but Romeo does it a lot more because he’s more of a morning person and is awake first far more often.

Who starts tickle fights: Mmm, they’ve both done this on at least on occasion, but usually Mercutio.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower: Listen, Merc doesn’t ask, he just does it. xD Romeo will actually ask.

Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch: So, usually, Romeo is the one to express affection with words and maybe like hugs and stuff and Merc is more of “practical acts of caring” type person. But this specifically? Is totally the kind of sappy-sweet, thoughtful, but potentially inconvenient thing Romeo would do.

Who was nervous and shy on the first date: Mercutio was nervous, Romeo was shy.

Who kills/takes out the spiders: Mercutio kills the spiders in that house because Romeo hates them but he also refuses to kill them. He’s always taking them outside, which certainly devolves into “They’re JUST going to come back, Romeo!” “I’m not going to like...murder a spider.” “No, you’re just gonna set it up to be eaten by the birds.” “....OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE?” “*sigh* Remind me again how I ever fell for you?”

Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk: Usually, Romeo, because love declarations are his jam, even when he’s not drunk, lbr.
