Stu Macher (Scream)

The BEST Ghostface to ever Ghostface. A BIT underrated just because people will sometimes give Billy more credit. But like- hot man. Has no actual motive for killing, Billy was like "Hey, dude, let's kill people" and he literally needed nothing more. Thought up of some of the key parts of their plan, definitely gutted Casey and Steve, probably put Kenny on the van by himself (Billy wasn't around, so-) . Definitely top 3 or 4 strongest Ghosties to date. And the humor-- okay, I could go ON AND ON about Stu, but I'll stop here. Matthew Lillard really took the character from boring in the script to one of the only parts of the original film me and my mother (who's TERRIFIED of horror films and would rather forget them) remembered from our first watch when I was 13. (She said she'll never forget his laugh and that she hates him. ... She then got me a t-shirt of him not 3 weeks later for Christmas. Sorry, Mom-) Great job, man! Stu stole my heart, LOTS of my money, and a large part of my brain, so it's safe to say he'll always be my fave and an icon in my eyes. (Literally wearing my Stu shirt as I type this, what a fun coincidence LOL-)

2. Charlie Walker (Scream 4)

I said what I said. People either adore Charlie or despise him, and I love him DEARLY. Yes, he's very attractive, but on top of that, he racks up one of the highest kill counts by a single Ghostface alone in the entire franchise, beaten only by Roman, I believe. From Olivia Morris, which was obviously his kill, to tossing Rebecca Walters off a building, to Jenny and Marnie... definitely Robbie... Kirby... Kate Roberts... man just went crazy with the kills, and I respect it. He had loyalty, some great lines, a HILARIOUS deleted scene ( ), and he kept cool under pressure, never revealing himself until absolutely necessary. Do I relate to him? Yep. Is that bad? Probably, but I love him anyways.

3. Jill Roberts (Scream 4)

Another maybe controversial ranking, but I love Jill! I think her motive is fantastic, the way that she uses Charlie to get what she wants, and as someone who has acted innocent in situations where I'm definitely not, her acting is spot on. I never thought about it being her until her reveal, and it's still one of my favorites of all time. She is also, I believe, the Ghostface who got closest to the goal of killing Sidney and getting away with it, so congrats, girl! You had the whole world fooled till the hospital! She's a great take on what I think is the modern version of Billy Loomis, and she nailed the innocent act, truly. Did she kill anyone? Probably, but I can't think of anyone who I know is 100% a Jill Kill. Either way, good for her for not getting her hands dirty, or FOR getting her hands dirty! Impressive no matter what in my mind.

4. Billy Loomis (Scream)

Dont worry, Billy fans, he's still in my top 5! The only reason he's not my third is because I think he's just a BIT overrated. If the movies weren't constantly making him seem like he was the only killer and completely alienating Stu (I think there's a reason for that, but I won't explain that here), then I'd put him above Jill. I know that's a weird reason, but it's my reason. Billy is a fantastic manipulator who knew how to get exactly what he wanted from Sid, and also was a repressed drama queen, which I relate to a lot. While Stu was openly crazy, Billy hid behind the stone cold semi-facade. I don't think Billy would ever have gotten as crazy as Stu did, but he definitely showed the drama in several ways that make me smile and laugh every time. Falling down a flight of stairs? Fucking up Stu's couch cushions? Comedy gold every time. I give Billy credit for stabbing Casey, killing Himbry, and killing Tatum. I think the rest were Stu's because of the gutting and where Billy was at the time. I also think he killed Maureen, so a nice 4ish kills for him! Anyways, top tier Ghostie, another one I'll always respect respect and love.

5. Amber Freeman (Scream 5)

I'm gonna be honest, I hated her when I first watched Scream 5. Hated Richie too, but he's still terrible. Fuck him. I thought Amber was a trashy, third rate version of Stu that was extremely fake and her turn from cold to goofy seemed extremely forced. Then I took a deep dive and figured out why. (If you want a full explanation, let me know, I'm trying to stay short here.) So I believe that Richie is this movie's Stu and Amber is the movie's Billy. From her plans, her using the house, just her very cold, calm demeanor in the beginning, she just gives Billie energy, while Richie is just... well, he's the Netflix guy. He makes jokes left and right. But Amber, I think she was trying to be the Stu while Richie was trying to be the Billy. Everyone forgets that Stu was a boyfriend too, (Billy's) Tatum's boyfriend. Amber was supposed to be Tara's girlfriend in the original script. So now, I see her third act as more of her desperate attempt to look like her idol instead of sticking with the persona that served her well for the rest of the film. That really made me appreciate her more, and made her feel even underutilized, as did the Macher house. (I LOVE THAT HOUSE. I LOVE IT. Well, the actual actual house, not the Scream 5 version.) So yeah. Amber was a cold blooded killer trying to be just like the Macher before her, even if that wasn't the part she was meant to play in her movie. Taking credit for Dewey's kill? Absolutely. She was in the cult and she just wanted to piss Gale off by saying she did it. Fantastic lines, wonderful creep factor! Her death- *chef's kiss* Lovely homage to Sidney shooting Billy. And that's my top 5!

6. Quinn Bailey (Scream 6)

The only member of that damn family who did a good job killing. Richie included. Funny? Check. Didn't see her coming? Check. Ruthless? Double check. I don't think she did Gale's attack either, I think that just like Amber, she took the blame for someone else's work just to keep them hidden. Besides that, she was a good character, someone you thought was long gone until she wasn't. Bonus points for her saying Stu was her fave and definitely being the one to stab Mindy on the subway. Maybe not the greatest Ghostie ever, certainly low on kills, but I enjoy watching her a lot.

7. Nancy Loomis, aka "Debbie Salt" (Scream 2)

Another hidden killer who deserved more screen time after her reveal, and more backstory. I love her motive of "good, old-fashioned revenge", and I can see her killing Randy out of rage. Killing Mickey? Nice way to keep things in her favor! Debbie Salt was eh. Don't remember her much tbh- I would've liked to see Nancy more as herself, she just had great potential. Did she take some kills? Absolutely. Got her hands dirty to honor her son. But that's what I don't like. She leaves Hank, then suddenly after Billy dies, she's like the best mother ever?? Killing for the son SHE left?? Her leaving is the reason Scream happened, paired with Maureen and Hank's infidelity-- that's why she's a solid 7 in my book, and the best of the worst. Only goes downhill from here, folks.

8. Mickey Altieri (Scream 2)

GREAT in the Act 3. Other than that? Um... he was okay, I guess? He had some funny lines, but where I really like him is in the possibility possibility of what he's done. He definitely killed for Nancy, he was insane and just wanted people to see him that way. He DID talk to Matthew Lillard in the background of the sorority party... Mickey and Stu working together?? His Act 3 was good, he showed he could be a good Ghostface, scared Sidney, killed Derek... but that's where this ranking and my positive comments about him stop.

9. Wayne Bailey (Scream 6)

Classic parent who wants revenge, angry, pulls it off decently. He has some good moments, funny, a definite suspect, and nowhere near as good a cop as Dewey. Points for trapping the Core 4 (minus Mindy) and Kirby in the second coolest location in the franchise, but that's where my positivity stops. Sam killed him easy, he was a shit parent until Richie died I bet. Did he get his kids to murder? Oh yeah, I think he's the one who made this whole plan up with Quinn and Ethan's help. He doesn't really stand out. Did he kill?? Even wear the fucking mask?? I honestly don't think so. I would put him lower, but compared to the next three... yeah, he's fine at 9.

10. Richie Kirsch (Scream 5)

WHYYYY. WHY. The only goof thing I can say is that like 5 of his lines made me laugh, and he also hates Stab 8. Me too, dude, that looks BAD. Motive? Pretty good, solid movie motive, getting with Sam to get the job done. Ruthless? Yeah. But he's sloppy. He's a Stu without the magic, just trying to make a movie. Him dating Amber?? *vomits* KILL ME NOW. He was 100% manipulated by her, I know he was. A sad attempt of Billy Loomis that leaned more towards Stu, and his cheesy shit throughout the film made his "true colors" seem kinda dull and not very scary. I don't like him. I don't.

11. Ethan Landry [Bailey] (Scream 6)

Like father, like sons!- all in my least favorite 5 of legitimate Ghostfaces. How much screen time did he have?? Not enough. Innocent guy, "I was in Econ!" to "HAHAHA I'M INSANE NOW!!"? I hate it. His transition was too forced, he was bland and stupid, his attempts at faking his knowledge about everything were embarrassing and made him look worse as a character. The easiest Ghostface to spot. I don't know, I mean I get people like him because he's insane and attractive, but I don't. Sorry to all of you who love this guy and his family. His best scene? When Tara stabbed him in the mouth. You go, queen!!

13. Roman Bridger (Scream 3)

Fuck. FUCK. I hate him, I hate this movie, I hate it all. His motive is pretty solid, I actually like it a lot... but he was stuck up, whiney, and underutilized. Like Ethan, low screen time, unbelievable shift from loser to villain- did he even share a scene with Sid?? Talk to her?? And this makes Billy and Stu look like lackeys. I HATE IT. I would've much rather had the Stu leading a Ghostface cult film, but I know why they went this route instead, and I respect that. Like Ethan, the best part about him, and of this movie, is his death. Dewey missing his head like 5ish times before finally hearing Sid and going for the head Thor in Endgame style?? Comedy. GOLD. I love Dewey Riley. But yeah, I just don't like Roman at all. His strengths are his motive, his INSANE kill count (I think he had an accomplice.), and his physical strength. Besides those? Useless. Sorry, Roman die-hards.

14. Jason Carvey (Scream 6)

Not bad for a Ghostface killed in the first 15 minutes. He had the makings of a good killer, definitely in the cult, but his time was just extremely short. Nothing much to say about him, but his only kill was a fantastic start to the film. I would put him higher, because I think he WAS a good Ghostface, but... 10 minutes or less of screen time? Sorry dude, don't know you well enough.

15. Greg (Scream 6)

Who?? Saw him a fridge. That's it. What's his last name, I don't remember- No screen time, not even alive on screen. Nothing more to say. He was probably pretty good though, if he was anything like Jason.

My Controversial(?) Scream Opinions

• Scream 5 is the weakest Scream movie because of the characterizations of the new characters. Most of them were either mean for no reason or literally just boring to watch

• Speaking of Scream 5, it makes no sense for Sam to be Billy's kid. She should've been Roman's because he 1) was a whole ass adult before his death 2) had the time before becoming Ghostface to have a kid which Billy really didn't timeline wise 3) also has a close connection to Sidney and was the catalyst for the original Woodsboro massacre

• Past Ghostfaces should stay dead, bringing one back this late into the franchise just feels like lazy fanservice

• Scream 4 has very little impact on the Scream franchise BECAUSE it released so late after the original trilogy and had no real follow up since Scream 5 shifted to a new main character

• Scream 3 doesn't diminish Stu and Billy's actions, yes Roman convinced Billy to kill Maureen but Billy is still the one who chose to go through with it and went a step further with the Woodsboro Massacre (I genuinely don't understand why people call Roman's existence/motive a retcon to Scream 1996)

• Mrs. Loomis is a solid Ghostface. It's a fun reference to Friday the 13th part 1 and the number of kills shouldn't determine how good a Ghostface is. Plus she looked good doing it, her act 3 outfit is incredible

• Tara is the worst member of the Core 4, not going to explain this one because it'd take too

• I have mixed feelings about Richie's siblings avenging him in Scream 6. Mostly because I don't think most people like their sibling enough to justify them murdering people and grooming someone. But I also get that just having Richie's dad would be too similar to Scream 2

Why is Tyrian a better fighter than Neopolitan?

Ok, a week ago I did a poll for fun about who would win in a Vs between Tyrian and Neo, however the result left me a little perplexed. So to complement it, I would like to offer my own point of view and why I think Tyrian could beat Neo in a fight;

(Small Warning: English isn't my native language, so if there are any grammar errors I'm sorry and I would appreciate it if someone would tell me)

First of all, I won't allow myself to be corrupted by fanaticism, I know and emphasized that Neo is a skilled fighter and shouldn't be underestimated in the slightest. Outside of her amazing semblance, as revealed in the novel Roman Holiday, she briefly received training from a special assassin training program shortly before joining Roman and also receiving his tutelage. In addition to the fact that throughout the show, she demonstrated that she could stand up to characters like Yang or Cinder, who as we know shouldn't be taken as a joke either, and in recent volumes she also demonstrated that she has a certain manipulation skill, which combined with her semblance, makes her especially unpredictable against vulnerable opponents, as seen in his fight against Team JNOR and, above all, in Volume 9 with Ruby.

However, there is a crucial detail in his record that is the reason why I believe he wouldn't emerge victorious in a fight against Tyrian. Most of his combat exploits and victories were against fighters in training, also skilled but young after all. The closest thing he ever faced to an experienced fighter was Cinder; At the beginning of this fight, Neo was on par with Cinder mainly because she was taken by surprise, but as the fight progresses you can see how Cinder is progressively gaining ground, even when she is holding back since, in addition to having not interest in fighting her for being out of his priorities, in between he tried to talk to her before resorting to using weapons and his Maiden powers.

But when we get to the V8 E5 something quite unusual happens. In her brief fight against Maria Calavera, a veteran and widely experienced huntress, María proved to be able to overcome her without problem and was even able to mock Neo like she usually does with others, and everything seems to indicate that he could have won if it hadn't been for Cinder's distraction.

Now speaking of Tyrian, while we don't know how he acquired his abilities, it has been made very clear as the story progresses how formidable and lethal he is, both implicitly and directly: As revealed in V7, he was a criminal and serial killer who became recognized and feared outside his kingdom, to the point that it was necessary to carry out a joint operation between Atlas and Mystral to stop him. Until his transport was intercepted by Salem, who generally prefers others to do the legwork and has only been seen personally gone out to take over the Kingdom of Atlas once the scene was secured, to recruit him herself.

Already from volume 4 you can see his incredible skill. In episodes 6 and 7, we can see how he was able to track down Team RJNR in a matter of days and once he reached them he was able to subdue them without any problem, even being able to easily stop a hammer blow from Nora loaded with his semblance, which was previously able to knock out a entire team and was then able to send Hazel flying.

He practically would have won if it hadn't been for Qrow's intervention and when they get into a fight, Tyrian proves to be on par until the end with Qrow, sober and serious, a member of Ozpin's inner circle and who is considered one of the best, if not the best huntsman in Vale and even with the external intervention of Ruby, Ren and Nora. The only time where he seems to have the advantage is when Tyrian is distracted by Ruby's gunfire. To explain this moment, there is a theory that Tyrian, as he is a scorpion faunus, has poor eyesight or is directly blind, since in real life scorpions are myopic, especially in light, and therefore depends on his other senses as well as his ability to feel the pulsations of movement, which could actually explain his great reaction time and how he was able to stop Ruby's shots without even looking, among others. Although theories aside, despite this brief moment of disadvantage, Tyrian recovers the moment Qrow retrieves his weapon, even to the point of weakening his aura.

Then, in episode 11, when she suffers a mental breakdown and attacks an Ursa, we can see how Cinder's expression is one of absolute horror, which says a lot if we talk about Cinder precisely; megalomaniacal psychopath who doesn't tremble the time to kill and confront opponents like Raven (who had previously made Neo retreat), who has only been afraid of Salem and who later confirmed to us that she knows Tyrian's capabilities and therefore, it is not unreasonable to think that her reaction is It owes, in addition to the impact of the scene, to the extremes to which it knows it can go in its maximum madness.

(I'll pause for a moment to say that I personally love this sequence. It clearly has its questionable decisions, but in addition to being wonderfully choreographed, it perfectly exemplifies Salem's main modus operandi: Divide and conquer)

In general, this isn't the only display of emotional intelligence on Tyrian's part, it could also previously be seen in his talk with Mercury and Emerald in Volume 6, being able to identify the true connotations behind Mercury's words and mocking his insecurities not recognize.

Making a more direct comparison between both fighters, Tyrian far surpasses Neo in terms of strength, speed, reaction and durability: he was able to support from an impact that caused him to destroy a house without being minimally affected, he was able to easily stop a charged hammer blow from Nora, he withstood an explosion in the mouth that weakened him but he didn't knock him out, he moved fast enough for Penny to lose sight of him, and he demonstrated enough combat awareness/reflexes to fight in the dark, catch projectiles or casually block a sniper's bullets without looking, as well as having an absolute and versatile control of his 5 limbs.

He was also able to take down an angry Mercury, who had previously been able to pick a fight with Pyrrha and Yang while he was holding back and was literally able to dodge lightning bolts from the previous Autumn Maiden, and he was shown to be able to hold a fight against multiple targets at once as seen in his fight with Qrow and Team RJNR and later, against Qrow, Clover and Robyn for a time.

Neo on the other hand, it wasn't until Volume 8 that she was shown to be able to defend himself against more than one fighter as before that, she was unable to secure the relic against JNOR until Atlas' agents created a distraction. Her perception in combat isn't bad at all but she was taken by surprise when Ruby opened his umbrella and took her out of the airship at the end of V3, she was unable to dodge the badly injured Oscar's blow when she encountered with the JNR and it was also shown that she isn't immune either to manipulation, since during his fight with Ruby at the end of V8 where she was able to trick her into attacking her and then make her fall over the edge using his semblance.

His durability hasn't proven to be a big deal either due to the lack of feats, at most he could resist Yang and Cinder's fire projectiles although for this required Hust and also depended on the setting and context, not like Winter, for example, who had to withstand direct blows. As for speed, it is somewhat doubtful since at first, she was able to evade Yang's attacks in V2 but when she fought against Ruby armed in V3, she proved to have more difficulty until she was assisted by Roman and couldn't keep up with Cinder when she went completely on the offensive and even without using her semblance, powers or weapons, although she was then able to defend herself against Ruby and Blake at the same time, which implies an improvement but going back to her fight with Maria, despite being an old lady, she was able to stop all of their blows and even return a couple.

In terms of fighting style and weapons, Neo has shown a preference for blocking and dodging blows, when he has tried a more direct combat he has shown that he loses advantage, Tyrian on the other hand is someone who is direct in his attacks but also very agile and brutal in his movements. Neo has a Hust but Tyrian has the Queen's Servants and his stinger that give him range options that Neo doesn't have, in addition to Neo usually taking advantage of his combat style to tense his opponents, taunting and making them impatient so that they lose focus but knowing since he is Tyrian, it would hardly affect him and he is more likely to continue fighting without loss his mind (more, I mean) unless she managed to hit accurately him like Qrow.

Now here comes the main course: Neo's semblance, the reason why I think she won the poll. In itself, it was already amazing but with the evolution it had in Volume 9, as I said, it makes it super effective against vulnerable opponents like Ruby or Curious Cat but it also depends on the context. Ruby was caught by surprise being alone while she was going through her lowest moment, it is assumed that Cinder was the one who provided her with information about her history with characters like Pyrrha or Clover, while Curious Cat had just been crushed by Team RWBY, leaving them in a state of weakness and vulnerability where theirs would have succumbed to anyone's attack. [PLUS]

Even if Neo would create clones to help him, again, Tyrian has proven to have not problems fighting several people at the same time, he has a 360° defense thanks to his tail, his long-distance weapons would allow him to ward off or even destroy opponents and surely it wouldn't affect him to slaughter someone just for looking like his companions, at most Salem could make him doubt but Tyrian isn't naive, as I have said, he is more cunning and perceptive than he appears, for not to mention that we don't have indication that Cinder may have shared information about him with Neo as he clearly did with Ruby, so even if he became aware of his devotion to Salem, he hasn't way of knowing the lengths to which he goes or his previous failures to use against him.

Honestly, I think that a fight between these two could be very interesting because, without a doubt, both are notable in their own right: both are cunning, agile, sadistic and very maneuverable but not exempt from being carried away by their emotions, but returning to the initial topic my conclusion it would be this;

If Tyrian and Neo had a fight before the events of Volume 9, Tyrian would win without a problem, perhaps with more or less resistance but in the end he would overcome her, especially if he uses his own semblance with her, since then he would only need to land an accurate blow to Neo to leave her defenseless, injured or out of combat.

But if they were to face each other after Neo's semblance evolved, things would become more complex as additional factors would now have to be taken into account, such as the context of the scenario, as it could be a great advantage for Neo if he managed to catch Tyrian off guard as happened in his confrontation against Qrow, Clover and Robyn, but it depends on the strategy he applies as he could progressively lose that advantage as happened with Cinder if he doesn't take proper advantage of it, so she would have a better chance of putting up a longer fight.

Still, based on all of the above, I still hold my position and consider Tyrian a superior fighter in almost every aspect. This is just my opinion so if anyone wants to add anything else, they are free to do so as long as they are respectful.

Guys I did infact watch the last two movies so far and god I thought they would be trash because they are the newest but dang they really aren’t bad. So here is my official ranking off of what I can remember.

1.Scream 1996- you can’t beat the original

2. Scream 4- kinda eats the house downnnn

3. Scream 6- just literally everything about having the relics and the past coming back. I love the whole conflict with Sam and the killer inside. Billy hallucination slaps everytime. I love him. I honestly kinda wanna see Sam go crazy lol.

4. Scream 3- it gives the vibes and the ending is great. I think it lives up to the Scream legacy. I love the story with it. It gave great reasoning and everything.

5. Scream 5- I feel like it was good and all I loved the Billy hallucination bits. But overall not as memorable. I still lived it it just didn’t give as hard.

6. Scream 2 -The movie itself was great up to the end scene just didn’t feel that great and kinda lack luster. Was missing a lot story wise especially with the motives since they felt bland. And it could have been great but I just wasn’t buying that Nancy Loomis really cared all that much about getting revenge for Billy. I mean the actress was great. But the dialogue didn’t really work.

for 3,4,and 5 place I kinda feel like for me it could go anyway for those places will Scream 5,3, and 6 but either way they were all great. And even though I gave 2 a lot of hate I genuinely think it was good and I’m glad they released it.

❈ they’re still very humble despite them getting everything they want

❈ you and Billy made sure to teach them values

❈ when they’re teenagers, they’re drop-dead gorgeous, which makes Billy nervous

❈ he’s definitely the dad who threatens the boys who date your daughters, even though you tell him to be smart

❈ but, knowing Billy and his past, you know for sure he would definitely kill for his girls

Stu:

❈ Stu is also a girl dad

❈ when your daughter is born, he’s a mess

❈ Stu has this huge smile he can’t wipe off his face every time he looks at your daughter

❈ he takes her everywhere with him when she’s a toddler and buys her any toy or candy she points out

❈ when school starts, you don’t who cries harder, Stu or your daughter

❈ prom and graduation are also very emotional times for Stu as his daughter is now grown up

❈ Stu is protective of his daughter, but not so much that he’d go into a murderous rage

❈ but he still scared the boys in her life enough to where they never hurt her too badly

❈ Stu is ecstatic when your daughter gets married and has children of her own

❈ just as he was a cool dad, he’s now a cool grandpa

Mickey:

❈ Mickey has always wanted a son to teach everything to

❈ so when you find out your baby is a boy, Mickey is beside himself with excitement

❈ he has a whole list of names picked out already

❈ when your son is born, Mickey stares in awe at him and how much he looks like the both of you

❈ he has your eyes and Mickey’s nose and smile

❈ Mickey is the perfect father, getting up to take care of him at night when it’s his turn

❈ sometimes he’ll do it when it’s your turn, too, so that you’ll get more rest

❈ and he’s just enthralled with his son and loves spending time with him

❈ skin-to-skin contact is Mickey’s favorite part of your son being a baby

❈ when your son is old enough to do things, Mickey is over the top with getting him into sports, art, music, and so on

❈ he wants his son to be happy no matter what he chooses to do with his childhood and his life

Roman:

❈ you have both a boy and a girl a few years apart

❈ the girl is older and very sassy, just like her father

❈ the boy is very shy and to himself, also just like his father at times

❈ Roman loves teaching the kids about art and film

❈ your daughter picks up photography, much to Roman’s delight, while your son is into costumes and designing them, which also makes Roman excited

❈ you both decide to send the kids to an art school, and Roman is upset that he won’t see the kids as often as he’d like during their teen years

❈ but he knows they love what they do and need the necessary education for those subjects

❈ once your kids are no longer kids and have graduated university, Roman makes sure that they get good jobs in the industry in Hollywood

❈ watching your little family be so close and working together makes you incredibly happy

Charlie:

❈ Charlie was very terrified when he found out you were pregnant

❈ but god, does he love his son more than anything

❈ your son looks like Charlie spit him out, with his large, round eyes and rosy lips

❈ your son is just like Charlie personality wise

❈ but your son can be very outspoken sometimes, which can make Charlie a little mad

❈ however, Charlie is very patient and learns how to handle your son and his attitude

❈ when your son struggles in school due to attention problems, Charlie researches and does everything possible in order to help his educational needs

❈ when your son graduates high school, he decides to go on to college for something Charlie isn’t a big fan of

❈ but upon seeing how skilled your son is in the career field, Charlie grows happy for him

❈ once your son has a family of his own, Charlie helps him a lot with raising his own son

Richie:

❈ at first, Richie wasn’t too keen on the idea of having children

❈ but when you both find out you’re infertile, his attitude changes

❈ suddenly, he wants to do anything to make you happy, including having children, even if they aren’t your biological ones

❈ you both decide to foster kids for a little while

❈ Richie is surprisingly wonderful with every kid who comes through your household

❈ one kid specifically holds a dear spot in your and Richie’s hearts, so you decide to adopt them permanently

❈ soon, you adopt a few more kids, making your family grow larger

❈ once all your kids have completed school and the house was empty, you realize just how much your unluckiness with fertility changed everything in your and Richie’s lives

Ethan:

❈ when your last living parent falls ill and is no longer able to take care of your little sibling, you have to step up and have temporary guardianship

❈ you and Ethan have been together for a while, but kids haven’t really been brought up quite yet

❈ so it’s weird suddenly having the responsibility shared between both of you for a child

❈ but the weird dynamic quickly becomes habit and routine

❈ Ethan takes your sibling to school, makes breakfast and packs their lunch, helps with their homework, and just about anything you can think of

❈ you and Ethan discuss having children of your own once your parent gets better and has your sibling back in their household

❈ but when your parent doesn’t get better, and it seems your sibling living with you is permanent, life throws another curveball, and you become pregnant

❈ so you and Ethan raise your sibling and child together very happily

❈ Ethan is great with kids because of his personality, and it definitely has reflected onto the kid he helped raise as well as his own child

Season 2 is a great season, arguably the best season of 911. It is the season I saw the potential for Buddie and my slight obsession with shipping Buck and Eddie.

The way these two characters were written and how they interact establishes an amazing foundation for a slow burn friends to lovers trope.

During my rewatch I took notes specifically regarding character development for Buck and Eddie. Individually and as a couple.

What this rewatch has taught me is that Season 2 was more intense than what I remembered it to be and Buddie cannot just be an accident or a delusion the fans made up. If the writers did not mean to develop a gay romance between these two characters, they definitely overlooked key details that have us Buddie shippers come to this conclusion. There are multiple scenes/scenarios that captivate the ship’s potential.

If I have the energy to share my notes with you all, I will. Maybe break it down per episode or every few episodes, but for now, I will state that season 2 only lays down the foundation for Buddie. Buck and Eddie don’t have their “oh” moment in this season. It established a mutual attraction towards each other and a start to an amazing friendship.
