Tartosan Basilica · 40 x 30 · CC Included
Tumblr media
Not going to lie, I had a lot of fun with this one! The interior is inspired by the Church of San Lorenzo in Collazzone, Umbria, with beautiful vaulting and pilasters in a mix of gothic and Greco-Roman influence. The exterior/layout is a mix of Renaissance and Romanesque architecture, something like you’d see in Italy or the Balkans. Originally I put a large wedding reception area in the back of the lot, but it didn’t quite look right, although I plan on starting a villa wedding venue too soon - you can always remove the gardens there and add your own wedding area, but the altar inside the church does function as a wedding arch thanks to TheJim07 (amongst their other beautiful CC used like the pilasters and religious statues).
Hopefully this will be a nice complement to my incoming Palazzo (July).

Sant Miquel de Cruïlles monastery and village around it. Comarques Gironines, Catalonia.
This monastery was built around the year 1035, and was abandoned after 1835 with the government confiscations of church possessions. As a result, some parts of the monastery have been completely lost, such as the cloister. The little village that grew around the monastery is still inhabited.
