Thanks for your sane takes on Blitz and Stolas. I’ve seen a lot of hate but if I’m being honest I relate to Blitz on I know how bad self hatred can fuck with your view of yourself. Granted Blitz’s reactions and decisions are a tad more dramatic than mine would be lol. However I know how fucked up you feel when you assume you are only worth what you can give to someone and how much of a shock to the system it is when people demonstrate they love you for you. Which is exactly what Stolas did saving him at the cost of his title and powers. How Sinsmas will go I’m not even sure I can guess but I sure as hell am excited to find out.

Tbf, it's a cartoon, so Blitz is more over the top in general no matter what he does (and we love him for it).

But also mood. I am like... this weird mix of Stolas, Blitz and Octavia (frankenstein these three together and that's me). Blitz's self-hatred/self-destructive nature is definitely one of the things I relate to most with him.

And being legally disabled (as in, acknowledged by the goverment I'm disabled) definitely doesn't help with me feeling unlovable and like a burden to everyone.

I really really doubt the obvious parallels we’ve seen up to this point for destiel are anything less than deliberate choices on Jensen and Robbie’s parts. I have no idea what it might lead to but the neon arrow they are building with this storytelling points to something at the very least.

Yes, and isn't it interesting how the show spoon-feeds this het pairing, hitting mark after mark that's increasingly obvious paralleling to destiel. Almost like they want to make a point here as one of their story goals. To further dismantle some perceptions, following in the wake of Bobo's boiling frog approach of turning the heat up slowly instead of all at once, getting audiences attuned to the idea. This is carrying on that approach, only doing it via another pairing. Not to mention Ada's interspecies love story as well.

It's like they put up a board with every anti-destiel argument and are X-ing out each one. Oh they can't because Cas isn't human? Here's an interspecies love story. Which the mothership did too but people didn't listen then either, and so the new team is keeping at it. Until such time as...gee willikers, we just can't think of a reason why they'd make these Destiel parallels so loud.

Heteronormative goggles will auto categorize John and Mary is romantic and canon just because it's m/f, while with Dean and Cas some autoslap denialism on it, call shippers delusional, and think they won. Yet Dean and Cas have even more storybeats, plot points, that code romantic, and if they were a m/f duo no one would question a romantic reading.

Anti-Destiels are so desperate they'll cite non-con demon deal kissing as proof of romantic canon interest and that Destiel can't be romantic and isn't meant to be read as romantic just because we haven't seen them kiss.

To all my followers and melendaire shippers get ready for me to be sappy af 💕💕 I tried to keep this short but y’all know me everything ends up way too long

Not to be a dramatic bitch or anything and be that person who stops watching because of a ship but I don’t know if I can do it next season guys I really don’t.

I was getting ready to change my url to Claire Browne and make a fanvideo after the season ended because I knew we’d get more melendaire content in the finale but after this I’m just done. This show made me so happy especially with everything going on in the world today and the fact that it got taken away from just like that and I’ll be bitter about it forever sucks. The fact that all it changes now depresses tf outta me the show actually got me to be active on tumblr and now it’s over

I know it shouldn’t be about the ships but they just did the character and the fans so fucking wrong okay they really did.

So this may be one of the last posts I make myself about the show so I just really wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to this fandom and these shippers. We’ve been through fucking hell and supported and each other and have been there for each other through every mishap and shared so many theories back and forth and I’ve never been that deep into a ship or fandom on here and I fucking love you all so god damn much.

Despite what the writers did to us tonight I still wanna thank the show for bringing these amazing fucking women in my life and introducing us to each other and be the first few to openly ship melendaire way back in the beginning of season 2 and starting a group chat because of it.

So to my girls:

@pinkobsessedfreak the baby and the pessimist of the chat I love you so much katie and I don’t know what I would’ve done if you hadn’t reached out to me in season 1 about melendaire and I will forever appreciate that. After three solid weeks of absolutely no communication from tumblr whatsoever, I am finally forced to admit that the odds of ever getting my old blog back are looking.... bad. @universallongings​ KATIE! Where do I even begin? To say that I feel blessed by our friendship is an understatement. I’m so glad I’ve met this beautiful soul and to share so much of my work with her. It’s so comforting to have someone that understands the struggles of a writer, and a positive one especially. Literally, everything Katie writes is what I’m thinking. It’s truly so comforting. And to know someone that cries just as easily is a genuine gift because for a really long time, I felt alone in that, but thank Jesus for Katie. It sucks, but at least we’re not alone in our sincerity. I love this girl tremendously and her work is seriously unparalleled. She can take things on that no one else could and she’ll handle it with such grace and wisdom. 23. Most anticipated upcoming books?

I’m going to go with fics for this because do you really want to know about the book I’m writing/researching about Auschwitz for work right now? (I’ll tell you; you don’t...even if the history nerd in me is super excited about it.)

The fic I’m most excited to share (and that I think most people seem excited to read) is all about Tim and Lucy in Las Vegas for Angela and Wesley’s bachelorette/bachelor parties, and let me tell you, these two are VERY into PDA when they’re tipsy. ;)
