Reading book one again and i'm still amazed with how you've written hand-holding/touching to be the most sensual thing in the world.

I'm going through Hadrian's scenes and i have to take breaks because my face gets too warm and i stop functioning as a human. Its unironically painful.

...and i love it so god damn much.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I think hand-holding is incredibly intimate. The soft brush of fingertips over knuckles, the held wrist, the interlocking of fingers... the warmth that lingers on your skin long after your lover has let go.

There's the intention of the touch, too. It's always deliberate and measured as if it's a part of an intimate ritual between two people.

Alessa brushes hands with you, and her whole being is on the cold skin of her fingertips, longing to steal away your warmth. Hadrian holds your hand in his palm and tries to bargain with God to stretch time so the moment can last for eternity.

How would your characters react if you tried to sneak into their bed bc you couldn’t sleep and wanted cuddles and to use them as a pillow/heater?

This ask is so sweet 😭😭😭 and in the middle of "cuddle for heat" weather!! I personally have trouble sleeping and staying warm, so oof ah my heart 🥺

Dax: Immediately wakes up and pulls you into his arms. Makes up stories and tells them to you in a hushed tone until you drift off, on your way to sweet dreams

Verik: Worried about why you can't sleep. Was it a nightmare? Anxiety? He can't protect you from your own brain but he wishes he could. He holds you quietly and stares into the dark, as if he'll scare off whatever was bothering you. Without realizing it he gently strokes your back until your nerves settle and you fall asleep feeling safer than you ever have

Shallow: They sleep curled up like a giant cat, or a dragon in an illustrated story book. You end up nestled against their belly with their tail wrapped around both of you. The sounds of their happy, sleepy purring putting you at ease

Sylas: He doesn't stir as you slip under the covers and wedge yourself under his arm. He pulls you close without waking up and his tail drapes over your legs. You sleep so deeply that you don't stir at all until he gently wakes you up and tells you that breakfast is ready

during the last solas regret memory, when you choose the sad option (he loved her and blamed her) and rook says: "when the other gods struck her down, he destroyed the elven empire to avenge her," they seem to be looking right at lucanis. (who is also the next person to speak and seems to be meeting their gaze during that). there are some times when the staging of a scene makes me feel slightly unfairly rewarded for being a lucanis romancer haha. (or rather unfairly rewarded for having the kind of unhinged brain I do while being a lucanis romancer, maybe.) guess who pretty consistently gets to sit at rook's right hand in most of the scenes where everyone is at the dinner table too :) just little lucanis privileges
