"I just don't want to use those words, 'isolated' and 'fear' and 'paranoia. I just think its not the correct way to go about the fortune and blessing that it is to work, whether they ring true or not, and bring attention to that kind of feeling-state. Even if it's valid, it's not really somewhere I want to go."
-Timothée Chalamet discussing fame in Rolling Stone’s December 2024 cover story

Taylor Swift talks to Rolling Stone about Ice Spice:
“I love when I meet a new artist who takes a keen interest in not just the music, but the music industry and how it works, I’ve seen how our industry tries to convince artists that they’re better off just being creative and making music and letting the labels and the management do the rest. Seeing Ice lean into the strategic, financial, and business aspects of her career is really exciting for me. The more artists learn about the inner workings of the music industry, the more power they can have in their creative world. I knew based on the questions she asked and the observations she made that she didn’t just want to be a passenger in her own career. She wanted to be the driver of it.”

For Timothée Chalamet’s December 2024 Rolling Stone cover, in which he discusses portraying Bob Dylan in the upcoming biopic A Complete Unknown, stylist Taylor McNeill took a replica bouquet from Dylan’s hat maker and placed it on his Yankees cap.

“It works with the movie because Hugh Grant goes on a spiel about religion and Christianity, [and how] they’re all iterations of each other. And the same goes with music. He goes on this tangent about Radiohead. ‘Creep’ comes from the Hollies’ ‘The Air That I Breathe.’ They were sued. And then Lana Del Rey’s ‘Get Free’ copies ‘Creep.’ So it’s this ongoing discussion where there are only so many chord progressions. And within this cover, it was essentially ‘Fade into You’ but ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.’ It was clever, and it works well at the end of the movie to put a little ribbon on it.”

Every time I come across old pics of Taylor from debut era I’m always grossed out when I remember all those many times borshitta and other industry executives repeatedly said quite a few times “ you couldn’t tell if she was 15 or 21” and openly saying Taylor “appeals to young girls and grown men” 🤢
That’s gross enough when you know she was a child regardless of how she looked, but it’s even wilder when you look at pics of Taylor around that time. She looked like a child

"I like Sinéad. She’s a passionate little singer. And I understand her saying, “I hate this job.” It’s a horrible job. People don’t realize how horrible it is. Making music is great. The exploitation of it is horrible. And I think you’ve got to be hard as nails. Maybe that’s where Madonna has the edge on us. Maybe she doesn’t think it’s horrible. I think it’s degrading, humiliating — so does Sinéad. Whereas Madonna’s above being degraded or humiliated. She flirts with it. And perhaps that bravado is in some ways to be applauded, but at what cost to her soul, is my question."
—Joni Mitchell interviewed for Rolling Stone, October 1991.
"How do you feel about another new queen of rock, Sinéad O’Connor?"

Ice Spice talks to Rolling Stone on getting to collab with Taylor Swift and their friendship:
“I was living in my first apartment in Jersey, and [producer] Riot was there recording me, and I remember my manager called me, and he usually texts, but he called, and he’s like, ‘You ready for this one?’ And I’m thinking it’s going to be some bad news or something. He’s like, ‘Taylor Swift has a record for you to get on from her album. I’m playing it cool on the phone. I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s cool. Super cool.’ And then I hang up the phone and I’m hysterically crying. I’m in my walk-in closet, and I’m like, ‘Bro, this is not real life.’ Riot definitely filmed it. That’ll probably be in a documentary one day.” Some saw Swift’s decision to work with Ice as a calculated attempt at clout, as if she were borrowing some of Ice’s cool. “Which is so rude to me, [because] why would she not want to be my friend?” Ice says. “Taylor f*cks with me. She’s so funny. I think our personalities mesh really well.”

“I don’t know if this is setting the bar too high or if I’m allowed to say this, but people should be expecting answers,” she says. “It’s coming back to where the pilot was, which I think is perfect timing for that. It’s just becoming more and more unhinged, and Natalie goes through more than anything. And I said this last season, but I’ll keep saying it: Now you see what has made Natalie so messed up. There’s a bit more of that connection between me and Juliette now, even though now she’s gone. It was a fun season, but it was really fucking draining.”
