reader can look however you want her to, there are no physical features mentioned, the images are for vibes only
Synopsis: Din is mesmerized by the changes your body has gone through after giving birth to your first child. He's taking special interest in your boobs this fateful evening.
Words: 1.7k
THIS IS ACTUAL, EXPLICIT SMUT! MINORS DO NOT INTERACT, THIS IS YOUR WARNING!
A/N: I blame unhinged discord convos for this. My first proper smutty smut. This was interesting to say the least. Yeah, the images are medicore photoshop, they display the vibes perfectly, though. Thank you @evolnoomym for beta-ing and encouraging me that this filth is not utter shit.

Having children sounded so hard in theory. Exhausting, long days and short nights with constant disturbances. Long recovery, emotions, pain. In reality, you were fortunate to say, it turned out so much better.
The physical part was easy. You were a Jedi after all, so your body could bounce back pretty fast – thank the force for healing powers. Although, it was only made possible because of the devotion of your husband to support you where he could. Now that his son was here, he was glued to the newborn whenever you needed to rest, ensuring ‘mama’ was healthy.
To be fair, Mand’alor Djarin enjoyed boasting about his son and how proud he was of you enduring all of the discomfort during your pregnancy, all of your pains and cravings, and even the birth. You were the strongest warrior he’s ever known. He had told you more than once.
He loved you deeply and dearly, as he loved the child you had given him. A little mix of him and you. While babies were mostly soft and squishy and their facial features were barely visible, your son had his father’s eyes. And his nose looked suspiciously like your own, just smaller and still a little chubby. Every time you saw Din with your son, how in love he was with this small human, you wanted to do it all over again.
And you would.
With the child fed and sound asleep, you and your husband finally had some much needed time for yourselves. Time to focus on the little joys of marital life you had craved for so long.
You sat on his lap, his cock deeply embedded in you, as you rolled your hips against his. He was propped up against some pillows so he was halfway upright, both of your hands on his chest while his held onto your hips. Perhaps it was too soon to return to having sex, but your body was technically healed, no matter how recently you might have given birth. It couldn’t be soon enough, you had been yearning for him ever since your belly had become too big to find any comfortable position to make love in.
As good as it felt to finally get what you wanted, Din’s demeanor was off-putting, to say the least. Usually he was very vocal, blessing you with moans and little praises, which were completely missing this time around. As soon as you had sat down on him and lifted your shirt, it was like he was somewhere else entirely. You had hoped he would fall back into his ways, but no matter how hard you squeezed him, nothing besides a single grunt had escaped his lips.
Frustrated, you sighed, halted your movements and looked down to his face. »Do I not feel good?« you asked and rested a hand on his cheek. Like he was shaken out of his trance, his dark eyes found you and he furrowed his brows. »I’m sorry, cyar’ika. I’m…« He didn’t finish his sentence, unsure what to tell you.
Something was wrong and it stung a bit that he didn’t tell you. »Do you want me to stop?« you asked. His hands detached from your hip to caress over your skin, his thumbs tracing over your upper belly. »No.« You huffed and tilted your head to the side. »I’m getting mixed signals, cyare. What are you thinking about?«
His hands wandered upwards until they rested just under your boobs. He lifted them gently, well aware that you were probably sensitive. They had grown significantly now that you were breastfeeding, but the weight that temporarily lifted off of you made you sigh and lean into his touch.
You felt his cock twitch inside of you when he touched your supple flesh. »Do you like them?« you asked when you finally connected the dots. You felt him scan every last bit of your chest and continued »I’m sorry, I’m a little lopsided. Ad’ika only really latches onto the left one.« »Do they hurt?« His eyes were glued to your breasts while you talked. You didn’t mind as you finally had his attention. »The nipple is a bit sore. And the right one … well. I feel like it’ll burst soon. I’m a little afraid I will get an obstruction if he doesn’t accept that one soon.«
Din carefully squeezed your breasts, but flinched when you whined. He just wanted to feel them, their weight and how tight they were, it was never his intention to hurt you. Still, that little squeeze made him groan. »Does an obstruction hurt?« he asked. You nodded. »It hurts and I could get an infection from that. Not necessarily life threatening but I’d like to avoid it at all cost.« His eyes were still staring at your breast and you chuckled. »Do you want a taste, my love?« His eyes shot up to yours again, shimmering, reminding you of a puppy. »You’re joking, right?« You shook your head. »I know a hungry baby when I see one, believe me. Besides… if that’s what’ll keep me from being in pain, go ahead.«
»But… I’m not…« Din stammered, flustered by your offer. Maybe you were a little more relaxed about that than he was. You were terribly horny and if that’s what got him off, why not? It’s not like you would tell anyone.
You placed your right hand onto his, effectively guiding him to massage your boob until you felt a drop of milk collecting on your nipple. You picked it up with your index finger and guided it to his mouth. »Open up,« you purred and watched in delight as he parted his lips. Your finger slipped past and touched his tongue. You felt another twitch in his cock as you pulled back. A second drop of milk fell from you and dripped onto his stomach.
»How is it?«
You were curious. It’s not like your son could tell you what it tasted like. And to be fair, tasting yourself is nothing that had come to your mind until now. »You’re sweet,« he groaned. Undeniably, that turned him on, to have you dripping for him from more than one spot now. He straightened his back to kiss along your collarbone, slowly working his lips down your breast. »Sweeter than your cunt. Intoxicating.« The stubble on his face was a little rough for your skin, but you liked the subtle burn it left. His tongue dragged over your nipple before another drop could fall, and you both softly moaned.
»Please, fuck me cyar’ika,« he pleaded as he latched onto your breast, sucking until you felt some of the pressure release.
As if you were distracted by the situation and needed to be pulled back to reality, his hands grabbed your hips again and guided you to move while he growled against your flesh. Now you twitched around him, earning another groan and a »move,« before he practically buried half of his face in your breast.
Holding onto his shoulder and the back of his head, you lifted your hips and moved as best as you could without making him have to detach from you. Something about him hanging onto you for dear life, holding onto your hips so hard it would leave bruises and growling whenever he feared you’d unlatch him made your heart flutter and your orgasm approach so much faster.
You weren’t the only one affected by this situation, as his deep moans vibrated into your chest and you felt him writhe underneath you. His hands practically slammed you down onto his cock, the tip kissing your cervix just how you needed. You wouldn’t last long like this, and he wouldn’t either. As much as you might regret the roughness you were subjecting your body to in this current moment, something primal took over. You were too sensitive and feeling every breath he took, every little noise he made, on your skin sent shivers down your whole body. You felt the tense buildup in your core, your breath quickening as more and more noises stumbled from your puffy lips.
»Cyar’ika I won’t last long,« you managed to press forward in between moans, only hearing grunts from him in response. »I love you so much. So much,« you whined, overtaken by the sensations and tears forming in your eyes. You’ve never felt so overstimulated before. »Please give me another baby, Din. Please,« you begged your husband in desperation, not able to stop the babbling as you feared you would lose your mind.
That was it. His nails dug into your skin as he pulled you down, reaching as deep as he could, pushing his hip up from the mattress to nudge himself right into your cervix as he pumped his seed inside of you. The noises he made were feral, somewhere in between a growl, a whine, and a muffled moan, increasing in volume with every twitch he made inside of you.
You didn’t come, but you were fine with that for the time being. Your thoughts raced around the little confession you had made just now. You knew it was too soon to try for another baby and this was the first time you had ever spoken that wish out loud. Judging by his reaction he was on board, but you needed to talk about that in earnest.
With a pop he unlatched from your breast and looked up at you. It seemed like tears were sparkling in the corners of his eyes as well. »You want another baby?« he whispered. His voice was so soft and fragile, it almost made you cry. »When the time is right,« you replied and cupped his cheeks in your hands, resting your forehead against his. »I doubt I can get pregnant again so quickly.«
He straightened his back to kiss you. You tasted the remainder of yourself on his tongue, and he was right – you were sweet. When your lips parted, he sounded a little more like himself again, warm and raspy. »You didn’t cum, my love.«
»It’s okay,« you reassured him and pressed another kiss onto his lips. »But I want you to,« he groaned and pressed more kisses along your jaw, nibbling on your skin in between kisses. »I want to fuck another baby into you right now,« he whispered against your skin. »I’d like to see you try.« »Oh I will try, I promise.«
little translation for the Mando'a phrases:

Savannah Squad Presentation Night Headcanons/Drabble [3/3]
I totally didn't forget about this, I don't know what you are talking about (I'm sorry, I suck at finishing things & I don't know how to write for these two ;_;)
Part 1: Taylor & Logan Part 2: Ben & Tyler Part 3: Aiden & Ashlyn
Start of the drabble:
Thankfully, with Aiden's good laptop, there were no more technical difficulties for the rest of the night. But that in no way means the rest of the night is calm, and that is simply because Aiden has gotten up to the front of the room drip drying while setting up his presentation. Logan is then left mopping up the previous puddle he left from when Tyler dumped the entire contents of the spray bottle on him. For the betterment of the final two presentations, and Logan's floor, the spray bottle was retired for the night.
When Aiden is finished setting up, the TV practically demands for the attention of the rest of the group for none of the right reasons. It is horrendous. Astronomically so; the title of the presentation is somehow even worse.
Aiden Clark
(off topic, looking at my old art makes me want to vomit)
You see the title. That's not the bad part. The bad part is the fact that the slideshow is like thirty slides with multiple images per slide. The worst part is the fact that it's volume one. Check this man's storage, I promise you there is absolutely nothing left.
I want you to imagine you are just in a dark room with friends only lit by the TV and a small laptop screen. Imagine that, and then imagine this flashbang of a presentation popped on screen and each slide only gets progressively worse. Aiden is capable of making good presentations, he strikes me as a more artistic type, this is poorly made on purpose. Because why not.
This presentation is pretty much just going through his camera roll, but its categorized by person and gets progressively more deranged as they're section goes on. Which means the person with the longest section gets the worst of it. Which means Tyler gets the worst of it.
Like Ash got off pretty easy, Logan too. Taylor, gets the next longest section because I can see her and Aiden enabling each other to do dumb shit (one of the videos is her stuck in a traffic cone trying to get Tyler to help her out (spoiler: he didn't)), he lives with Ben so he absolutely has material on him, mainly his shit cooking. Then there's Tyler... half of the photo's aren't even of him!!! He just made dumb ass bottom text memes. They're not even funny ;_;
Aiden put his photoshop skills to work cause he is pulling up pictures like this:
He also screenshots texts too. I want to give you examples, but everything I can think of can't be put here cause I don't want to be considered weird. It's nothing bad, it's just like teenage humor. like ironic stuff.
Just think teenage boy humor, but if it was made by a decent person and wasn't problematic. Like how people would jokingly flirt with their friends and the other person is like "bro, wtf 💀"
so the presentation is just Aiden avoiding things being thrown at him while he exposes the group
(I had to tone this down because teenage humor does not translate to written word without sounding like a creep! I'm banking on the fact that you've just seen teenagers interact with each other cause then you'd get it)
Group's Reaction
the only reaction that matter's is Tyler's and you know why. You know why.
Everyone is having a good, grand ol' time laughing at each other being dumb, then there is just Tyler being raked through the mud.
The majority of the group think "yeah, my pictures are bad, but at least I'm not Tyler".
tbf, I also headcanon that Aiden shares a PE class with Tyler so he has more material. Cause exercising is somehow more embarrassing in PE. It doesn't matter how athletic you are, no one looks good when you are struggling not to face plant when doing a wheel barrel because your partner is just hauling ass across the field.
Ashlyn Banner
I need Ashlyn to drag everyone. desperately. In good fun obviously, but it just goes to show how odd everyone really is.
These are teenagers. Even though they are in awful circumstances, they still do stupid teenage shit. This is mainly revealed in the arguments that take place during hang outs and study sessions.
Her presentation is split up by how dumb she considers each conversation. Most of the conversations involve Aiden and Taylor, not because they are dumbasses, though is does play a part, but because they enable each other's dumbassery.
Ben only makes up about a slide... for obvious reasons. Part of him is relieved, but the other part wishes that he could say more to be included.
One of her favorite moments that she put in the presentation is when she overheard Logan having to explain to Aiden that 1.) the North Pole does, in fact, exist and 2.) that it is not the same thing as Antarctica when they were doing pair work in science. It took... painfully long, for the point to reach Aiden. She's not convinced it has. (I had this argument with my friend during senior year...)
^^ The argument gets brought back up because Tyler started shitting on Aiden cause of it.
Another big chunk of the presentation is just when she caught the group baby-talking Logan's cat (he has a cat cause I said so). You'd think it be Taylor, considering her general demeanor, but Tyler's the one who talks to the cat most of the time. And the cat absolutely loves him. The cat is sitting on his lap as we speak.
Logan is a person to play first person shooter games. With mic. Need I say more. (He doesn't say anything bad, but he can shit talk. It's easier since they don't know who he is lmao).
Taylor gets off easy because everything dumb that she says is on purpose. She is absolutely the person to just go with the bit, so everything she says just goes with the flow of the group. What's that? It's because Ashlyn has more of a soft spot for Taylor! What, no! I don't know what you are talking about, Aiden. Such accusations. (he is 100% correct)
Group Reaction:
Since the presentation was pretty balanced with who got made fun of, excluding Ben (ToT), everyone's having a pretty good time.
Since Ben barely had anything in the presentation, Logan had the bright idea to scroll through this guys social media posts. Mainly twitter. He struck gold at the expense of Ben.
Regarding cat point in the presentation, Ashlyn had some videos as proof. Is Tyler embarrassed? Yes. Can he do anything about it? No, he has the cat on his lap.

deny me (lovesong) — kim seungmin. ·˚ ༘♡
↝ pairing: kim seungmin x reader ↝ genre: humor, fluff, established relationship!au ↝ word count: 4k ↝ warnings: general menace behavior, you and seungmin are in love but pretend not to be, gross sickening fluff, jisung obviously doesn’t have the paboracha brain cell this week (don't mind that the banner isn't a gif my photoshop subscription expired.......)
↝ summary: the only thing you love more than your boyfriend seungmin’s smile is his obsession with fucking around with his friends. or, after one too many fights between his two best friends who can’t get along for the life of them, han jisung isn’t sure he can handle it anymore (who’s going to tell him that they don’t actually hate each other and are, in fact, dating?)
Thursdays have always been your favorite day of the week.
“Hi babe.”
To be fair, any day that you get to see Kim Seungmin is your favorite. But for the six months that the two of you have been dating, Thursdays have always been your day because it is when you get to see him the most, free of any distractions.
The two of you met through your mutual friends, and although you love them (well, you love them sometimes), they can be demanding. Early on in the friendship, back when you were all itty bitty freshmen with a thirst for the party life, Changbin claimed Fridays as your going out nights. Saturdays, then, were reserved for movie night at Hyunjin and Minho’s after a few too many Marvel marathons sophomore year. Sundays eventually ended up being taken by weekly brunch with Jeongin, and every other day of the week—well, those ended up occupied by one clingy, over-attached Han Jisung.
But Thursdays? Those Seungmin kept clear just for you.
“Ew,” you wrinkle your nose as your boyfriend leans down and plants a sloppy kiss on your forehead.
He raises a brow before flopping into the seat next to you and wrapping his arm around your waist.
“Say that again,” Seungmin mutters as he peppers more kisses on your face.
Somehow, he manages to make the words sound both threatening and endearing at the same time. His lips trail their way down your cheek, along your jaw, to the corner of your lips, until you can’t take it anymore.
“Okay, okay,” you relent with a laugh. “I missed you too.”
“That’s what I thought,” he says triumphantly. You tilt your head up, ready for the final kiss, but he pretends not to notice the way you pucker your lips.
“Now get away from me.”
Seungmin dramatically pushes you off, but the smirk playing across his face tells you that he is just joking.
“Okay, loser,” you sniff, taking a sip from your coffee.
“How was class today?” He asks, shrugging his bag onto the ground.
“S’alright,” you sigh, pushing a cup towards him. You had ordered his iced Americano when you had arrived a few minutes earlier. This was your favorite café, and it had become a tradition to meet here after classes—it was a bit far from campus, sure, but you never minded, and neither did Seungmin.
He takes a big sip from his drink, grinning happily.
“Are you finally done with that project Professor Cho assigned?”
“Yes, thank god,” you roll your eyes.
“Good,” he laces his fingers with your hand on top of the table.
“Now you can focus all your attention on me again,” he bats his eyelashes.
“Awww, was my Minnie jealous of my biology class?” You coo.
“Never,” he wrinkles his nose. “I don’t get jealous.”
“Riiiiiiight,” you nod. “So what do you call that time you ignored Jeongin for two weeks because, and I quote, he was ‘breathing too close’ to me?”
“I just didn’t want any of his stupidity to rub off,” Seungmin says sincerely. “You need every brain cell you can get.”
You scoff and try to break free from where his hand holds yours, but his fingers just tighten their grasp.
“Okay, well what about that time you blew up on Changbin because he fell asleep in my lap?”
Your boyfriend’s eyes narrow at the memory.
“That was, like, a week before we made it official,” he insists. “It wasn’t jealousy, it was anxiety.”
“And who’s fault is it that it took us so long to get together?” You tease.
“Jisung’s,” Seungmin says immediately.
“Okay,” you admit. “That’s like, half true.”
Before you and Seungmin started dating, before the two of you were even friends, there was Han Jisung.
You met him on the first day of college orientation. He latched onto you immediately, claiming that you were the only one who seemed nice enough to be friends with someone as annoying as him. You thought he was just trying to be funny, but after three days non-stop with hi, you learned the hard way he was being dead seriously. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), he was annoying in the exact same way as you, so the two of you got along splendidly.
Seungmin on the other hand had no choice in his relationship with Jisung. Neighbors by chance, childhood friends by force, the two of them were attached at the hip all throughout middle school and high school. In what your boyfriend describes as a cruel twist of fate, Jisung even ended up following Seungmin to university a few towns over. He jokes about how he’ll never be free of him, but you know Seungmin does actually care a lot about Jisung, even if he refuses to admit it.
Once it became apparent that you were a permanent fixture in his life, Jisung made it his duty to connect the bridge between his two best friends. Unfortunately for him, however, you and Seungmin don’t have the smoothest of starts.
The day that Jisung tries to introduce you is probably the worst day possible. You are irritated and sleep deprived, and Seungmin is a week out from the deadline for his biggest presentation of the semester. In short, the two of you are teetering on the edge of sanity and are a little more than a bit exasperated with Jisung himself.
After staying up all night studying for an exam, the last thing you want is to get wasted and stay out past 2am, and yet that is the most likely fate you face when Jisung drags you out to a party against your will.
You really don’t want to be here, but—well, you figure that since you have nothing else to do, you might as well take a chance to de-stress. The party is still in its first leg and hasn’t grown into the rager that it undoubtedly will be, so it is relatively easy to venture into the kitchen and grab a drink.
The first time you lay eyes on Kim Seungmin is when you make your way back to Jisung. The two of them are standing in the backyard, locked in a tepid conversation as you approach.
“Seriously, Jisung,” Seungmin says, running a hand through his hair. “This is why you dragged me out of the library?”
The first thing you notice is how hot he is. Tall, strong jawline, angular face, chocolate eyes.
The second thing you notice, almost immediately after, is how unhappy he looks to be here. Even more unhappy than you.
“C’mon,” Jisung whines, tugging on Seungmin’s arm. “It’s just for a little bit, and I promise Y/N is cool! Is it a crime that I want my best friends to be friends?”
“It is when I have a ten page paper due tomorrow,” Seungmin mutters.
You don’t blame him for being pissy, but something about the way he says it, with such clear disdain in his voice, rubs you the wrong way.
“Nice to meet you too,” you say sarcastically as you come to a stop next to them.
“Y/N, there you are!” Jisung exclaims happily, latching on to your arm too.
You take a sip of your drink, pushing down the wince that threatens to spread across your face at the taste of pure battery acid jungle juice. And the entire time, you maintain eye contact with Seungmin, never breaking even as you swallow.
To his credit, Seungmin stares back with no hesitation. If you hadn’t been annoyed with him, you probably would have found his confidence insanely attractive. Instead, it annoys you even more.
And while the two of you are locked in an intense staredown, Jisung stands in between you, one arm still linked with yours and the other with Seungmin’s.
“Y/N,” Jisung begins excitedly. “This is Seungmin. Seungmin, this is Y/N.”
“Right,” Seungmin says dryly. “No offense. I’m sure you’re great...”
The rest of the sentence is implied: “...but I have better things to do right now.”
“You too,” you can’t resist jabbing back.
“So nice to meet you,” Seungmin says briskly. It’s not rude, but it’s not not.
“Not sure if I can say the same,” you respond, a smile stretching across your face despite the acid in your tone.
“G-Guys...” Jisung interrupts nervously, but neither of you notice.
“Right...” Seungmin says again, nodding slowly.
Despite your abrasive remark, he doesn’t show much reaction. His apathy is like an itch under your skin; in the end, that is what annoys you the most.
(Now, you love how cool and collected Seungmin can be. But back then, when you first met him, you hated it.)
“Well,” Seungmin turns to Jisung, who has gone as pale as a sheet by now.
“We met. I’m going to go now.”
“W-What—?” Jisung stutters. Before he can intervene, Seungmin nods once at you and turns, taking three long strides away from you.
By the time Jisung finally finds his words again, Seungmin has already disappeared.
The next time you meet Seungmin is at one of the first movie nights at Hyunjin and Minho’s. It has been a few weeks since Jisung’s failed attempt to introduce you, and you are already cozy on the couch next to Felix when Seungmin walks in.
Jisung is in the middle of telling a very animated story to Minho when he spots Seungmin and immediately freezes. The color leeches from his face so fast that you think he might pass out, but it is only when he looks quickly between you and Seungmin that you realize exactly why he looks so nervous.
“Min,” Felix says happily. “You made it!”
Seungmin nods, his eyes briefly passing over you before he spots the empty spot next to Chan and makes a beeline for it.
After a little time and a lot of sleep (and maybe just a tad bit of reflection) you have come to the realization that maybe your reaction to Seungmin at the party wasn’t warranted. After all, he was entitled to be annoyed at Jisung and the situation in general, and it wasn’t you specifically that he was irritated about, so you have no reason to take it personally or hold a grudge.
Which is why you’re not annoyed at Seungmin’s presence. tonight. Instead, you can’t help but feel a little bit... awkward. Chagrined, maybe?
You might feel calm but Jisung is two seconds away from pissing his pants. In fact, he’s so desperate to clear up any misunderstandings that halfway through the movie he texts you for an emergency rendezvous in the kitchen.
“IpromiseIdidn’tknowhewasgoingtocometonight!” Jisung blurts out in one breath once you two are away from the rest of the guys.
“Okay...?” You raise a brow.
“So, like,” he blabbers, “don’t hate me! I love you both and I’m sorry for forcing you guys to meet—”
“—Jisung,” you interrupt. “It’s okay.”
“Really?” He asks uncertainly.
“Really,” you affirm.
“Okay,” he nods, and you feel the overwhelming urge to give him a paper bag to breathe into. Not because that is the proper treatment for hyperventilation—precisely because it isn’t, and maybe if he passes out then he’ll stop worrying.
When you walk back into the living room, Seungmin doesn’t even look up at you, but you have the strangest feeling that he knows exactly what you and Jisung were talking about.
Later that night, you loiter around the apartment a little bit longer than you usually would, just to avoid leaving at the same time as Seungmin. Your plan backfires, though, when Jisung has to leave early. You try to hang around a little bit longer, but then Minho and Hyunjin start to wonder why you are still there, and you have no choice but to leave.
Which is how you end up trailing awkwardly after Seungmin on your walk back to your apartment. It takes him precisely two minutes to notice that you are behind him, and then three more before he comes to a halt.
“I’m not following you!” You insist immediately. “My place is just in this direction too.”
“Okay.”
“Okay...” you parrot back awkwardly.
“So,” Seungmin begins a moment later. “I just... I wanted to apologize.”
“What?”
“For that night at the party,” he clarifies. “I was kind of... no, I was very stressed. And rude. It wasn’t cool for me to treat you like that.”
You are so stunned you don’t know what to say.
“Jisung speaks very highly of you,” Seungmin continues. “And I swear, if it had been any other day, I wouldn’t have been such a dick. Not that it’s any excuse...”
“Well,” you begin, a warm blush spreading over your cheeks. “I don’t think that’s really your fault. I was kind of a bitch, too.”
His serious facade cracks and a small hint of a smile peeks through.
“Either way,” Seungmin says. “I did actually want to make a good impression, believe it or not, so... Do you think we could start over?”
You don’t even have to think before you respond, “I’ll gladly erase that version of Y/N you met for this one. I promise, I’m not always that rude.”
His face breaks into a bigger smile, and it almost takes your breath away.
“Well,” he says. “That makes two of us.”
That is the beginning of your friendship with Seungmin. After that first movie night, you start to see him more frequently on campus. Then, the new semester starts, and you find that the two of you share an intro to film class.
Almost naturally, the two of you start to hang out more and more, and you begrudgingly realize that maybe Jisung was on to something when he insisted that the two of you meet.
It is only when you’re too deep in and the feelings (romantic, of course) for Seungmin have really started to take root do the two of you realize—even though you rehabilitated your relationship, Jisung still thinks you hate each other.
This realization hits on a Friday at a party that Changbin drags the entire group to. This time, thankfully, both you and Seungmin do want to be there, and the night is going well.
(At least, as well as it can when you are grappling with the complicated newfound feelings you have for a recent friend-slash-study buddy.)
Then, in the midst of a tequila the midst of a tequila-induced haze, Jeongin finds you and Seungmin on the dancefloor.
“Hey!” he shouts. “You guys are friends, right?”
Seungmin looks at you, then shrugs.
“Yeah!” You shout back.
“Then why,” Jeongin asks, “is Jisung about to have a mental breakdown about you two?”
“What do you mean?”
He keeps whining to Changbin about how horrible it is that you two hate each other!”
“We don’t—” You begin.
The realization hits you and Seungmin at the same time, and it’s like you can see the lightbulb go off in his head.
“Oh...” you mutter.
“Oh,” he agrees.
“You guys are weird!” Jeongin shouts, eyes flitting between the two of you as you stare at each other.
“Heyyyyyy!” Jisung shouts even louder, his voice anxious as he comes to a stop between you and Seungmin.
“How are you both doing?”
His nervousness is almost laughable, but when you look at Seungmin, there is a devious twinkle in his eyes.
By now, you know him pretty well. And that look? It tells you only one thing: that he’s about to do something to fuck around with Jisung.
“I’m fine,” Seungmin says primly. His tone is such a stark contrast to how he was speaking only moments ago—it is guarded and prickly, and you catch on immediately.
“Who knows,” you mutter a moment later, going along with Seungmin.
“So you guys—” Jisung begins wearily.
“He keeps following me,” you point out.
“She keeps following me,” Seungmin rebutts.
“R-Really?” Jisung asks nervously.
“Whatever,” you roll your eyes. “I’m going to find Felix.”
Seungmin averts his gaze quickly, but not before you see the way he is biting back his laugh. And when you turn on your heel and head outside, a smile is plastered to your face as Jisung begins to badger him with questions.
The smile remains glued in place as the sound of Seungmin fibbing fades into the background.
That is the first time you pretend to still dislike each other in front of Jisung. The next time it happens is right before Hyunjin’s birthday when Felix ropes everyone into baking brownies for him. After that, it is when you and the guys go paintballing and you and Seungmin end up on opposite teams.
The fun of it is always how flustered Jisung gets. None of your other friends actually believe that you and Seungmin dislike each other—they know better than that. But Jisung, with his whole chest, thinks you and Seungmin hate each other. (Never mind the fact that you can’t look at him without hearts in your eyes...)
Once the charade started, you and Seungmin never clarified how long you were going to play along with it. Eventually, months have passed, and then when he finally works up the guts to ask you out officially, the face remains firmly in place.
Which is how you wind up here, six months later and happily dating, with your mutual best friend under the assumption that you guys actually hate each other.
“What are you thinking so hard about?” Seungmin asks as he takes a sip from his iced Americano.
“How irritating you were when we first met,” you say wistfully, tapping your fingers affectionately on the back of his hand.
“Hmmm? I recall you being just as irritating,” Seungmin tells you.
“Me?” You gasp. “I’m an angel. I could never.”
“More like a devil in disguise,” he rolls his eyes.
“If I’m a devil, what does that say about you?”
“What can I say? I love charity work,” he declares dramatically. “You’re my community service project.
“I’m telling your mom,” you attempt to pull your hand out of his, and this time you succeed.
A pout stretches across his face, and it only takes a few seconds for you to break and lace your fingers with his once again.
“You’re scared of my mom,” Seungmin challenges, a lazy smirk stretching across his face.
Butterflies swim through your stomach, but you shove them down at the obvious jab.
“I’m not scared of her!” You insist. “I’m scared of meeting her. There’s a difference.”
“Sure, babe,” he nods solemnly.
“I’m serious!”
“I’m sure you are,” he placates.
“Stop looking at me like that,” now it is your turn to pout.
“Like what?” He asks innocently.
“Like you think I’m cute.”
“But I do think you’re cute,” Seungmin points out.
“Well,” you say, flustered. “Stop!”
“It’s your fault for looking like that,” he says. “I’m not making you do that. In fact, don’t you think it’s more unfair for me?”
“How?” You narrow your eyes.
“I should be the cute one in the relationship,” he says like its obvious. “It’s not fair that you’re more adorable than me.”
“Awww, Seung,” you light up.
“I think you’re very adorable, and—” you coo, but stop short when something outside the coffee shop window catches you by surprise.
“—And I hate you,” you finish shortly, shoving Seungmin’s hand out of yours and crossing your arm with a huff.
“What?” He mutters, confused. “Wait, what just happened? Did I do something wrong?”
You roll your eyes, scooting your chair away from him. A distinctive chime rings, indicating that the door has been opened and then closed.
“Babe—” He begins, but then he stops too.
“Bab-y,” Seungmin says derisively, arranging his face into a mask of cool disdain.
“I’m calling you a baby.”
“Nice save,” you mouth, and Seungmin sticks his tongue out at you.
“Y/N,” Jisung’s voice comes behind you. “Seungmin! What are you guys doing here... Together?”
He sounds equal parts shocked and horrified, and for a moment you feel bad for him.
Then you remember that time last month when he woke you up at the ass crack of dawn and dragged you on a hike up a mountain, only to abandon you halfway up because he got a call from the girl he’s been hooking up with to come over, and you suddenly don’t feel bad anymore.
“Our professor assigned a group project,” Seungmin fibs seamlessly. “Y/N and I got paired up.”
“No need to sound so annoyed,” you say sweetly, kicking him under the table.
(It’s less of a kick and more of you playing footsies with him, but it has the desired effect when Jisung’s eyes flit nervously around and Seungmin’s finger twitches ever so slightly towards your hand.)
“Who said I’m annoyed about it?” Seungmin asks, a serene smile stretching across his face.
“You did,” you tell him. “Many times, actually.”
“I’m more than annoyed. Exasperated, maybe, or incensed.
“Anyways,” you roll your eyes, barely able to keep your laughter at bay.
The funniest part about this conversation is that Seungmin isn’t completely lying.
Although the two of you aren’t currently working on anything, you were paired up a few weeks ago. Throughout the project, he couldn’t stop complaining about how annoying it was to be paired up with you—he claimed you were a pretty distraction, and that he couldn’t be expected to get any work done around you when he could kiss you instead.
“What are you doing here, Jisung?”
“I was just passing by!” He says shrilly, a little bit too fast.
Your raise an eyebrow. Recently, any time Jisung finds you and Seungmin in a (fake) argument, he can’t seem to escape fast enough. Individually, he has no problem being around you two. But it’s like he’s afraid to be standing in the blast zone when it comes to you and Seungmin together—which, in your opinion, is hilarious.
The farce, then, is both amusing and beneficial, which is probably why you and Seungmin have dragged it out for so long. Because god knows, if Jisung knew that you and Seungmin actually liked each other, he would never give you any alone time.
His two best friends being friends is his dream. His two best friends dating? Frankly, you’re scared to see how he would act...
“Passing by?” Seungmin asks. “This far away from campus?”
“Yup!” Jisung exclaims cheerily. “And would you look at that? It’s already 4pm. I’ve got to go! I’ll see you later, bye!”
He is already inching towards the door before he begins speaking. By the time he has squeezed all the words out, his hands are on the door.
You barely have the chance to say a quick “bye!” before he swings the door open and rushes out.
You and Seungmin watch through the window as Jisung speed walks away from the coffee shop, his fingers gripping his bag tightly.
And then, when he is out of sight, you both burst into laughter.
“Sorry babe,” you pout, reaching for Seungmin’s hand once the coast is clear. “I don’t actually hate you.”
“Well, unfortunately,” he clicks his tongue. “I was actually calling you a baby.”
Your pout deepens.
“But you’re my baby,” Seungmin amends, giving you a little kiss on the cheek. You sigh happily, scooting close so you can link your arm through his.
“D’you think we should tell him sometime soon?” You ask.
A moment of silence passes.
“Nah,” Seungmin says finally.
“Really?”
“He was a menace to me throughout high school,” he says. “This is my revenge.
“Okay...” You say uncertainly.
“And, if you think about it,” Seungmin goes on. “It’s his fault that he still hasn’t noticed after all this time. All the other guys know. Even Hyunjin knows.”
“You know, that is a good point.”
“Thanks babe,” he kisses your cheek again, a smirk on his face. “I know it is.”
“Oh, hush,” you mutter, not entirely happy with how smug he looks.
But then, he leans in and finally kisses you on the lips, and you forget why you were annoyed with him in the first place.

Test Multiple Designs: You can experiment with various layouts, color schemes, fonts, and images to see which combinations work best for your target audience. This iterative process can lead to more effective ads.
Resize for Different Platforms: Ad banner mockups come in various sizes and dimensions, making it easier to adapt your ad for different advertising spaces such as websites, social media, email newsletters, or mobile apps.
Client Presentations: If you’re an advertising agency or a freelancer, mockup templates can be used to showcase potential ad designs to clients, giving them a better idea of how their ads will look in real-world settings.
Pre-launch Assessment: By using mockups, you can review and refine your ad content, ensuring that it fits perfectly within the designated space and complies with platform guidelines before launching your campaign.
Save Time & Resources: Instead of starting from scratch, you can build upon existing mockup templates, saving time and effort in the design process. This is especially valuable for tight deadlines.
Consistency: Mockup templates help maintain visual consistency across your ad campaigns, reinforcing your brand identity and making it easier for viewers to recognize your brand.
Now that you’ve got plenty of banner mockups to pick from, it’s time to choose the right one for your project and power up Photoshop. Demonstrate your credibility, give your designs a new dash of excitement, and show your clients what makes you amazing!

Kingdoms of Arcanon - Development Journal: Overview & Basic Rules
Development Journal Entry #1
GAME OVERVIEW
Kingdoms of Arcanon is a Trading Card Game (TCG) designed and developed by Kieran Ponsonby and Published by RealmCraft Studios. Kingdoms of Arcanon brilliantly fuses elements of traditional TCGs with those of battle-strategy and tabletop war games to bring a unique and dynamic gameplay experience.
In a game of Kingdoms of Arcanon players will choose to play as one of nine kingdoms, all locked in a gruesome war with one another, and battle it out for victory. Each kingdom has its own unique play style and player race as well as banner colour, ideology, and resource export, offering a multitude of choices for players to utilize.
At the beginning of each game, players will choose their battlefield and draw a starting hand of six cards from their Player Deck. The Player Deck is a player-constructed deck of 60 cards (in a standard format game) and contains their kingdom’s heroic and mighty Character Cards that make up their army along with other cards such as; Attack, Defense Cards, and Item Cards. Each player also has a player-constructed Resource Deck of 40 cards which they draw from to add to their Resource Pool to pay the cost of cards from the Player Deck.
Kingdoms of Arcanon is a turn-based game, meaning players take turns drawing a card from their Player Deck, rolling their Resource Die and adding to their Resource Pool, and attacking and defending against one another. The objective of the game is to defeat your opponent in battle in one of three ways; life drain (reducing your opponent’s total Life Points to zero), resource drain (depleting your opponent’s Resource Deck to zero), and ruler knockout (attacking the Ruler Card when no other cards are in play). In Kingdoms of Arcanon, players will create and execute diverse and dynamic strategies to get the upper hand in battle and defeat their opponent.
With its complex and unique mechanics and gameplay, Kingdoms of Arcanon is a game that combines strategy, tactics, and luck, while providing an engaging and challenging experience for players. With nine kingdoms to choose from, each with its unique playstyle, and a vast selection of cards, players can experiment with different strategies and approaches to achieve victory.
INTRODUCTORY NOTES
Like many new Tabletop Game Developers and Designers, I started Kingdoms of Arcanon at the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic back in 2020. After being laid off from work and forced into isolation, I began and created the first renditions of the game. The first iteration of the game was called Quest TCG, and then Abaddon's Gate, before eventually landing on Kingdoms of Arcanon. There were also many iterations of the card templates (see below), rulebook, website, etc. which is totally normal for any new game or game designer (or so I'm told).
Over the years, the game evolved into what it is today. And it's still evolving. Sometimes months go by without much change or evolution, and sometimes there's so much that gets done in a week that it seems to be an entirely new and improved game!
Today we will focus on the basics on how to play the game, and will mostly be an excerpt of the Rulebook along with some development notes and a quick overview. But every week, sometimes multiple times per week, I'll be providing more and more Game Development Journal updates for Arcanon, so keep checking back in for more updates and info on the game and its production.
To be honest, I started with the first version of the rulebook, a 30-ish page document typed up over a couple days after a dream led me to come up with the initial game concept. This rulebook has currently been through about fourteen solid and thorough revisions to become what it is today, which is "Version 1.0" (The first publicly published version of the rules, but I'm sure they'll be revised another fourteen times).
Next, I was quick to hop on Photoshop and start playing with ideas. I knew there would be Nine Kingdoms, therefore, nine colours of character cards. As you can see, the card layouts have changed drastically over the years into what I have decided on to be the final templates.
There will be standard (bordered) base cards, borderless artist cards and other rare variants such as holographic foil and limited edition chase cards to improve collectibility and rarity among cards.
The final design features a unique border and template to it that fits the game's theme and lore quite well. I'm quite happy with how the cards turned out, even though I'm always tempted to try and make yet another rendition of the card templates just for good measure...But! Until then, this is what we're sticking with!
RULES OVERVIEW
Objective
The objective of the game is to emerge victorious in battle against your opponent. There are three main ways to do so, as well as some powerful cards and combinations that can also end the game. The three main ways to win are life point depletion (life drain), war of attrition (resource drain), and ruler knockout.
Life Drain
The most common way to win is to make your opponent’s Life Points (LP) reach zero while defending your own. Each player begins with 3,000LP in a standard format game. The first player to reach zero Life Points loses the game. If both players reach zero Life Points at the same time, the player with the most Character Cards on the battlefield wins.
Players lose Life Points every time one of their Characters Cards is defeated and discarded. Players lose Life Points equal to that of the discarded Character Card’s Defense Level. For example, if you started the game with 3,000LP but your Character Card with 300 Defense was defeated in battle, you would have 2,700LP remaining.
To defeat a card in battle, the attacking card must overpower the defending card. To do this, the attacking card must have a Damage Total (DMG) that is higher than the defending card’s Defense Level. For example, if the attacking card has an Attack Level of 50 and an Attack Die of 1xd4, and the result of the die was a 3, the Damage Total (DMG) would be 150. If the Defense Level of the defending card was 150 or lower then that card is defeated and discarded. If its Defense Level was 200 or higher, the card would remain intact and on the battlefield.
Resource Drain
The second most common way to win is to deplete your opponent’s Resource Deck. This is called a Resource Drain or a War of Attrition. If a player has no more resource cards to draw from their Resource Deck at the beginning of their turn they lose the game. There are several ways to drain your opponent’s resources including special items cards and certain abilities and effects.
Ruler Knockout
A ruler knockout happens when there are no more Character Cards on the battlefield to defend the Ruler Card in play. Players may choose to attack their opponent’s Ruler Card directly if there are no other cards in play on their opponent’s side of the Battlefield, including the Holding Line. You cannot perform a Ruler Knockout until turn 6 or later. You keep track of turns using a turn counter (d6 die).
SETTING UP A GAME
Basic Setup
At the beginning of the game players will start by choosing their battlefield and setting it up with their Player Deck and Resource Pool. Players then shuffle their deck thoroughly and draw a starting hand of six cards. Players flip a coin to see who goes first. The player who goes first does not draw on their first turn.
Mulligan’s (Redrawing Your Hand)
If a player does not like their starting hand they may take what is called a “mulligan,” in which they may shuffle their hand back into their deck and re-draw a new hand of cards, however, they must draw one less card per mulligan that they take.
CARD TYPES
In the world of Kingdoms of Arcanon, there are six main types of cards that players can utilize in battle. These are Character Cards, Attack Cards, Defense Cards, Item Cards, Resource Cards, and Ruler Cards.
Character Cards
These are the cards that players use to attack and defend against their opponents on the battlefield. Character Cards are divided into three Classes: Fighters, Spell-Casters, and Creatures. Each card has unique attributes, such as Attack, Defense, Level, and Resource Cost, as well as an Attack and Ability as indicated on the card. Additionally, each card has Movement and Range Levels that determine that card's ability to move and attack from a distance.
Attack Cards
These cards are used to add an Attack Bonus to a Character Card, increasing the Damage Total (DMG) dealt when attacking. Attack Cards can be attached to cards on the battlefield, excluding the Holding Line, and each Character Card can only have one Attack Card attached to it at any given time. There are three main types of Attack Cards: Weapons, Spells, and Special Attacks. Weapons can only be attached to Fighter-type Character Cards, whereas Spells can only be used by Spell-Casters and Special Attacks can be used by any Character Card. Creature Cards cannot use Weapons or Spells.
Defense Cards
These cards are used to boost a Character Card's Defense when blocking enemy attacks. Like Attack Cards, Defense Cards can also be attached to a Character Card on the battlefield, excluding the Holding Line, with each Character Card only able to have one Defense Card attached to it at any given time. There are three main types of Defense Cards: Armor, Barriers, and Dodges. Armor can only be equipped and worn by Fighter-type Character Cards, whereas Barriers can only be used by Spell-Casters and Dodges can be used by any Character Card. Creature Cards cannot use Armor or Barriers.
Item Cards
In a game of Kingdoms of Arcanon, players can make use of a variety of Item Cards to gain an advantage in battle. These cards can provide bonus actions or powerful effects, as well as allow players to draw additional cards, add resources, and restore Life Points. Each Character Card on the battlefield, excluding the Holding Line, can have up to three Item Cards attached to it, and there are three main types of Item Cards: Tools, Artifacts, and Potions. Tools are only able to be attached to Fighter-type Character Cards, while Artifacts can only be attached to Spell-Caster-type Character Cards. Potions, on the other hand, can be attached to any type of Character Card. Creature Cards cannot use Tools or Artifacts.
Resource Cards
Resource Cards are a crucial component of gameplay in Kingdoms of Arcanon. These cards are used to pay the Resource Cost of other cards, such as Character Cards and Item Cards, and enable players to bring them into play on the battlefield. There are nine different types of Resource Cards, each corresponding to a specific kingdom and region in the world of Arcanon. Players must have exactly 40 Resource Cards in their deck to play the game, with a maximum of three of any given Special Resource and one of any Legendary Resource that adds more than one resource cost to the Resource Pool.
Ruler Cards
Ruler Cards play a central role in the gameplay of Kingdoms of Arcanon. These double-sided cards represent the official ruler of a kingdom on one side and the leader of a rogue faction within that kingdom on the other. When playing the game, players must choose which side of the Ruler Card they wish to use, each of which has its own attributes and abilities. You can choose whichever side of the card you please, however, if you are facing off against a deck of the same colour as you, one player must play as the kingdom’s ruler and the other as the rogue faction leader.
Ruler Cards also grant unique benefits and abilities that can be activated once per game. These abilities can range from defensive measures to offensive attacks and can provide a significant advantage in battle. Players must carefully consider which side of their Ruler Card to use, as it will shape their strategy and approach to the game. Ruler Cards also determine the Resource Cost for building barricades.
BATTLEFIELDS
Preparing For Battle
In Kingdoms of Arcanon, players have access to a variety of battlefields to choose from when playing a game. With a variety of battlefields at their disposal, players can tailor their strategy to the specific conditions of each match and strive for victory.
Deck
Each player must have a deck of exactly 60 cards at their disposal. In addition to this deck, players also have a Ruler Card. Before each game, players must shuffle their decks thoroughly and place them face-down on the battlefield.
Discard Pile
The Discard Pile is where players place any cards that become defeated or discarded during gameplay. This pile is kept face-up on the battlefield for easy reference.
Resource Pool
The Resource Pool is a separate deck consisting of 40 Resource Cards that players can draw from to pay the Resource Cost of other cards. The types of Resources included in this deck are determined by the kingdom and region that a player is representing in the game.
Ruler Card
The Ruler Card is placed on the side of the battlefield and represents the leader of a player's kingdom or the leader of a rogue faction within that kingdom. Rulers do not advance or retreat on the battlefield and remain in this location for the duration of the game. Players may activate their Ruler's special ability once per game.
Lines of Combat
Front Line
This is where players should place Character Cards that have only one Range Level, as they are not able to attack from a distance. This line is also suitable for powerful creatures and any other cards that players wish to engage in close combat.
Defense Lines
These two lines are suitable for Character Cards with higher Range Levels, such as two or three, as they can attack from a distance. Players must also advance from the Holding Line through the Defense Lines to get to the Front Line.
Holding Line
Cards in the Holding Line are being prepared for battle and cannot attack or defend until they are advanced onto the battlefield. Players may place up to six Character Cards in their Holding Line on their turn, but may only advance one card from the Holding Line per turn. To play cards into the Holding Line, players must first pay the Resource Cost associated with that card by discarding the indicated amount of resources from the Resource Pool. If you do not have enough resources to pay the cost of the card you cannot place them into the Holding Line. Additionally, cards must remain in the Holding Line for one turn, unless otherwise noted, until they can advance onto the battlefield.
RANGE & MOVEMENT
Range Levels
The Range Level of a Character Card determines how far it can attack from on the Battlefield. A Character with a Range Level of one can only attack from the Front Line, whereas a Character with a Range Level of two or three can attack from the Defense Lines or the Front Line. Each Line of Combat counts as one Range Level.
Movement Levels
The Movement Level of a Character Card determines how far it can advance or retreat on the Battlefield during the Movement Phase of a turn. A Character can move forward or backward lines of combat equal to or less than its Movement Level. When moving through spaces on the Battlefield, each space takes one Movement Level to pass through unless there is difficult terrain activated in that space, in which case it may take more than one Movement Level or restrict movement altogether.
Retreating
Players may move cards back Lines of Combat, which is called Retreating. When Retreating the Character Card can only move back Lines of Combat equal to that of its Movement Level. Additionally, when Retreating, the Character Card must discard all attached Attack, Defense, and Item Cards equipped.
Barricades
During the Build Phase of combat, players may choose to build Barricades using any remaining resources in their Resource Pool. To do so, players must refer to their Ruler Card, which determines the Resource Cost for building Barricades. Different Ruler Cards have different Resource Costs associated with building Barricades.
For example, if a player enters the Build Phase with 4 resources remaining and wants to build a Barricade and their Ruler Card indicates a Resource Cost of 3, they may build a Barricade and place one Barricade Token in any unoccupied space on the battlefield. It is important to note that Barricades take up a card space on the battlefield. You may discard your Barricade at any time on your turn.
Barricades provide an additional 100 DEF (Defense) per resource card paid to build it. For example, if the Barricade cost 3 resources to build, it would provide an additional 300 DEF. Players may also pay additional resources to “fortify” their Barricades (add more Defense) or repair them if they are damaged at the cost of 1 resource per 100 additional DEF with a maximum of 1,000 DEF.
Unlike Character Cards, which must have their Defense Level beaten outright in combat, Barricades take damage over time. Players may have to keep track of their Barricade’s Defense Level as it goes up and down throughout the game. To do so, players may choose to write it down or use 1xd10 as a Barricade Token and adjust accordingly.
ATTACKING & DEFENDING
Attacking Your Opponent
During their Attack Phase players have the option to attack their opponent. Players may only attack with one Character Card per turn unless otherwise stated, such as an effect or ability.
To attack players must first decide which card they are attacking with as well as which card they are attacking. The attacking player then rolls their Attack Die and multiplies it by their Attack Level to determine their Damage Total (DMG). If the DMG is equal to or higher than the defending card’s Defense Level, that card is defeated and discarded. If the result is less than the Defense Level, the defending card remains intact and on the battlefield.
You’ll usually want to attack your opponent at some point in the game, but it may not always be wise to attack at every opportunity you can. Players must strategize and decide when is the best time to attack.
Defending and Countering Enemy Attacks
When you are being attacked by your opponent there are a few ways you can defend yourself or even counter enemy attacks. Certain Attack, Defense and Item cards allow you to deflect, counter or disarm your opponent’s attacks. Barricades also provide an extra level of defense when guarding against your opponent.

Opponent’s Turn
During your opponent's turn, they will follow the same phases of combat. You will also have the opportunity to use various counterattacks and effects to disrupt their strategy and protect your Character Cards on the Battlefield by using special attack cards, dodge cards, and barriers. It's important to anticipate your opponent's moves and plan to effectively use counterattacks and effects to your advantage. Keep in mind that your opponent also can use counterattacks and effects to defend against your attacks and protect their Character Cards.
Damage Totaling
Players use their Character Cards to attack and defeat their opponent’s Character Cards on the battlefield. When attacking a player must first find out their Damage Total (DMG). To do so, multiply the Attack Level or Base Attack by the result of the Attack Die roll. For example, if the Character Card attacking has an Attack Level of 80 and rolls a 6 on their Attack Die, they would do 480 DMG in total. (80x6=480).
Resource Costs
In Kingdoms of Arcanon, each card has a specific Resource Cost that must be paid to play that card onto the battlefield. These resources are determined by the region and kingdom that the card belongs to, and can be found on the top banner of the card. When playing a card, you must discard the indicated number of Resource Cards from your Resource Pool equal to the Resource Cost of the card you wish to play. For example, if you wanted to play a Dwarven Barbarian from The Sunstone Empire on the battlefield, you would need to pay a Resource Cost of 3 Stone Resource Cards.
You may also sacrifice cards that are already on the battlefield to pay the Resource Cost of a new card. When a card is sacrificed, you may draw cards from your Resource Pool equal to half of that card's Resource Cost, rounded down. This allows you to strategically play and sacrifice cards to obtain the resources you need to play your most powerful cards.
Special Conditions
In the world of Kingdoms of Arcanon, special conditions can arise during gameplay, altering the trajectory of battle and shifting the advantage between players. Some of these conditions are beneficial to the character experiencing them, while others can be detrimental to their opponent.
SUMMARY NOTES
I already feel like I could go on so much more, but I'll have to do that in another update. This one's getting kind of long. But please check back for more updates. I'll post them as often as I can!
