So, in the midst of scrolling through tiktok nd waiting for kubosai content, i stumbled upon sumn I should’ve watched back during quarantine.
Cherry Magic. ( or Cherry Magic! 30歳まで童貞だと魔法使いになれるらしい )
It never occurred to me that i should watch it until two days ago, when a video a close friend of mine reposted came up. Despite having told myself that i might watch it back in 2020 when it came out, i never actually got to watching it but now that i did, I want to say that, its a fkin masterpiece.
Adachi nd Kurosawa have such a lovely relationship, that doesn’t necessarily revolve around sex ( something that i try to put off from most BL’s ppl around me have introduced ). The side characters are all well written and really memorable despite the little scenes they have with the main protagonists.
My favourites are definitely Adachi, Kurosawa, Rokkaku and Fujisaki! They’re all so sweet to each other nd their dynamic makes it more or less sweeter!! The way they ( Adachi nd Kurosawa ) inspire both Fujisaki and Rokkaku in their own ways. But despite the little ( i mean, does it count as little?? They do have alot of screentime together??? ) scenes they have, they do make their scenes worthwhile to watch and man they are js so adorable everytime they come up 😭😭
Adachi and Kurosawa on the other hand, are rlly rlly cute. Their relationship makes me crumble and fold.
Kurosawa is such a green flag. The way he wants to hold and kiss Adachi but holds back from his urges bcs he cares more abt Adachi than his own urges. Sure its basic human decency but seeing it actually being well-portrayed in a BL show ( not that I rarely see it, its more of most Japanese shows being weird nd stuff ykwim? ) makes it so much more refreshing to watch. Also the way he cares so so much abt Adachi? He could sense if Adachi is more gloomier, picks up on the lil quirks Adachi has, makes sure Adachi is smiling most of the time bcs he enjoys seeing him happy more than he enjoys seeing him being upset etc etc. It’s js so heartwarming and Kurosawa doesnt even have mind reading powers to do that. He supports Adachi all the way, even spending days trying to help Adachi perfect his presentation skills nd stuff nd js ughhhhh-
Adachi, is incredibly cute as well, his little bedhead, the funny monologues he does in his head, his existential crisis’ everytime he hears Kurosawa’s thoughts, the amount of “ Ehs “ he says and the way he thinks so lowly of himself makes his character relatable and endearing. He gets so excited about the thought of being popular or being an inspiration but immediately turns the idea down due to some unforeseen circumstances or js bcs of his thoughts. He sees himself as a normal boring person, doing normal boring things in his life. Hell, even we see that Kurosawa thought of him that way too before he fell for him. Everyday is the same for him etc, at one point when Urabe-san, his senior, suggests dating Fujisaki-san, he instantly turns down the idea. Even after thinking abt it, he turns it down bcs he thinks it would be impossible ( to an extent ).
But despite all that, Kurosawa and the others genuinely think of him as an incredibly hardworking, reliable and kind colleague to have around their work place. Even though he used to pick things up through his mind reading powers, he does show that, even without it, hes still as kind and reliable.
The show is so amazing and im planning to watch the others ( eg. the movie, the manga, the anime?? ) because i just cant get enough of them!!
Also i cant do reviews for the life of me so this would be the longest you get out of me yet. I usually attempt to ramble a whole abt my fav shows or anything but whenever i try, my brain melts or get all woozy at the thought of them bcs I JUST LOVE THEM SO SO MUCHHHH !!!!
Anyways, I’ll do another Kubosai post soon.

Tysm I will gladly offload my rambling to you free causeI've realised that we seem to be on the same level of incomprehensible affliction of the body due to cherry magicism😭🫂BUT NAINAAA OH MY GOODNESS YOU'RE SO RIGHT THAT HAD ME ON THE FLOOR and it also stood out to me as well and because you mean to tell me rokkaku was observant enough to realise something was off between the two of them but couldn't tell they were dating):&:£ like DUDE!
Especially thinking about the fact that he probably regularly catches kurosawa at adachi's desk and kurosawa gets a bit Antsy whenever he's too close to adachi like he's so funny to me l'll always wish we got to see a live action reaction to them walking in with matching rings before the wedding like it must have been so funny watching the moment it clicked for him (at ALSO WAIT. you know when they're hugging and kurosawa is like I've been watching you all this time, magic or not you're still you' + the montage of their moments playing in the back and how he loves him all the same and then he laughed and was like 'you've been reading my mind so you should know anyway right?' I had to pause for a solid 6 minutes and just scream into my blanket because What The Fuck.
cm has bewitched our minds and souls now we share the same wavelength of undecipherable brainrot . peak method of communication honestly whats better than going RRGRAHAGAHG over the blorbos together
rokkakus literally the character of all time like he saw 1) kurosawa taking extra time from his already busy schedule to help adachi 2) krdc spending a lot of time alone even outside the office 3) them coming to work together that one time (and then everyday after they started living together) 4) them being off for those four days 5) kurosawa immediately taking a leave after finding out abt adachis accident and being gone for days 6) them both coming back one day w matching rings . in my head he still didnt piece anything together until they gave him a wedding invite and even Then he went "omg ur both having ur separate marriages on the same day wow u guys are such besties" until krdc have to tell him "No Listen We're Marrying Each Other" at which point rokkaku bluescreens and flashes through his entire mental directory of krdc observation notes for 5 hours straight rethinking everything in complete silence

Let’s make friends!
A little idea I had together with some accompanying headcanons~
Rokkaku has no data guys, although Ryou and Bane come close, they are both fundamentally useless. Seeing as none of them are particularly jimmi enough to infiltrate like a certain Rudolph, they decide to gather information with their only other skill: Friendship! Ojii arranges for a temporary exchange, or rather, sending out his boys all over the country! Schools are drawn by a lottery, one’s man dead is another one’s dead. Let’s follow the boys throughout their adventure:
Seigaku: Shudo Experience: Seigaku loves him, because most of the time, when punishment is due, the canister of Inui juice has already dissapeared. He gets along well with Momo, both being bantzy rascals that don’t back down from a challenge. Inui loves him too, for the obvious reasons.  Data gathered: His brain got wiped by the Inui juices.
Fudoumine: Ryou Experience: The start is a bit rocky, since Ryou doesn’t like making his hands dirty (or his hair for that matter) which really clashes with Fudomine’s daily Let’s-Build-A-Court schedule. He finds a somewhat kindred soul in Shinji, both bonding over hair. It’s only until the eating contest until they see what kind of persona Ryou hides under that cap... Data gathered: Full profile of every member, especially Shinji.
Yamabuki: Saeki Experience: Saeki has spend the least amount of time with the team than all the others. Why? Because his radiance killed them. Simply as that. Sengoku is manageable, because he is secretely jimmi. Saeki however scattered so much rays with the power of a 1000 winks that half of Yamabuki got wiped out. Data gathered: Dan was kind enough to tell him about stuff (At least Saeki is good with children)
Hyotei: Davide Experience: It’s hard assimilating inside a 200 man team when 100 of them have a personal vendetta against you. If looks could kill, Davide would be 100 feet underground, but because of his natural killer glance, he probably would have managed to wipe out another 50 of Hyotei fodder. As a fellow/better king, Atobe has no idea what to do with him. Data gathered: Gathered the most data, but all on fodder and it was useless anyway.
Rikkai: Itsuki Experience: If Itsuki was like a lobster, he would not have been thrown in a boiling pot, but more like an active volcano in the mountain range far from the sea while bound in extra Anti-Lobster nets with some good neurotoxic sauce. He cries. Sanada slaps. He cries more. Sanada gets confused. He usually hides, or runs to the great waves of Kanagawa, there where he belongs. Yukimura’s godly appeal is nothing against the God of the Sea. Data gathered: He knows what’s on Jackal’s father’s menu.
Higa: Aoi Experience: Life is not all that pep. That tall guy keeps spooking him. He doesn’t get to play tennis. He has to massage an old coach. However, his eternally positive attitude and pressure tactics enable him to survive, it’s not like he had any authority in Rokkaku either. He tried. Data gathered: Introspective new sight on why some teams act like they do
Shitenhouji: Bane Experience: It pains him to return to Rokkaku, but that’s where his mates are, and that’s what where his big heart belongs. Shiten was amazing, the comedy was amazing, Koharu was amazing, and the food was amazing. Only the captain kind of reminded him of someone sour. But he would definitely return. Data gathered: Forgot the purpose of the mission because he had so much fun.

revisiting the rokkaku arc (an analysis)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Listen, I will always love rokkaku arc for the sougo-focus and shippy reasons. In the same way, the Gintama Wiki says Sougo has only ever apologized to two women, Mitsuba and Kagura (though I’m a bit doubtful on this since he casually apologizes to people more or less, Kagura’s was in between a gag and serious, still hilarious though, sorry Sho-chan), I think he has only ever used keigo (polite speech) for Mitsuba, and Kagura. Though in Kagura’s case, it was after threats, but that’s it, that’s their literal dynamic. And this whole interaction is again just funny to me because rather than a wolf, Kagura has the guts to treat Sougo like a damn puppy.
But in all seriousness though. Sougo is always blank-faced or evil-faced. In Hijikata’s words, it’s as if he has no weaknesses. Whenever he interacts with any other character, he almost always comes out on top. Meanwhile, his sweet side is only reserved for Kondou and Mitsuba, and yet at the same time, interactions with Kagura have him shedding that blank mask. He gets casually annoyed like when he was a kid, when emotions would show more often on his face as compared to the deadpan face he dons on now (part of me thinks he became even more deadpan when Mitsuba died). You can see him get angry, and it’s always a tie between him and Kagura. If he embarrasses Kagura, she gets him back.
In this one conversation, Kagura says she hates him, but acknowledges his skill. More than that she cuts to the truth of the matter. She’s confident in saying that he’s not a murderer, so why is he pretending to be one? She wants him to tell the truth, not just for Kirie’s sake, but for his sake as well. For all that she says she hates him, the truth outs and instead shows her concern for him. (Which Sougo calls out-of-character for her; this later gets paralleled when Kagura calls him out-of-character for trying to say goodbye during the Farewell Shinsengumi arc. In conclusion, they’re both tsunderes ffs.) And for Sougo’s part, because Kagura isn’t someone he can easily intimidate, because she’s so annoying that he can’t easily shut her out, he ends up giving away pieces of the truth. This is a secret he’s kept for over two years, but one way or the other, he opens up to Kagura.
*Also I just really love the fact that he calls her ‘ojou-san’, even if mockingly, instead of his usual ‘komusume’ or ‘gaki’.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the same way, I think Kagura may be the only (?) woman (besides Mitsuba of course), that he’s given his gratitude to. Again for shippy reasons, I can’t believe they’re talking about how a woman’s heart easily changes, in this case Kagura’s heart. It’s serious fanfic fuel. Because in the same way, Sougo is opening up, Kagura’s opinion toward him also slowly changes. (I also love how between the both of them, Sougo is almost always the tsukkomi, which rarely happens otherwise.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this conversation is just so important. Sougo of course has the Shinsengumi. Even with Hijikata, and then later on with Gintoki, he shows a bit of vulnerability. But with Kagura now, he’s quite honest. He’s openly showing his vulnerability. And Kagura never exploits that weakness.
This, to me, is a really important aspect of their bond, shipping or otherwise. Because this conversation ties so well to the Shogun Assasination arc, and the Farewell Shinsengumi arc. Through this conversation, Kagura gets to know more about the Sadist, what makes him tick, what’s important to him. He’s not just a little shit, but someone with his own insecurities that he tries to fight against to protect what’s important. And Kagura can respect that, but more than that, Kagura is the person to reassure him about those insecurities. For all that Sougo admits he’s a killer, Kagura instead calls him a softie who can’t even stand the mere sight of a girl’s tears. This ties so well to when Kagura reassures Sougo much later on that Soyo didn’t hate him or wasn’t afraid of him.
But I disagree with Sougo when he says a ‘kid’ like Kagura wouldn’t understand. Because Kagura is an unbelievably intuitive person, and I love that so much about her character.
Kagura shies away from killing because she doesn’t want to lose to herself, and Sougo for his part probably sees her as someone clean or pure, and therefore someone who won’t be able to understand him, though it’s not her fault. Kids are supposed to be innocent after all. The Shinsengumi are supposed to dirty their hands so the innocent won’t have to. But that’s absolutely wrong. Kagura has Kamui as a brother. And though she shies away from killing, she absolutely understands what it means to protect something. And as someone who constantly fights to win against herself, Kagura is the one who can reassure ‘killers’ like Sougo, Kamui, and Nobume.
Sougo for his part, despite his reservations and his preconceptions about roles, still ends up unleashing his burdens to a ‘kid’ anyway. I guess in that aspect, Kagura is really an intriguing existence for Sougo. She’s not a fellow officer like Nobume whose hands are expected to get dirty. She’s not a villain like Kamui who he’s expected to defeat. She’s supposed to be part of the people he protects, a civilian, and yet he fights seriously against her, never underestimating her. By his own definition, she’s part of the people he’s supposed to get his hands dirty for, and yet despite his propensity to handle his problems himself, Kagura with all her bullheaded stubbornness manages to be there for him anyway, to support him one way or another. Maybe Sougo always thought he had to do it alone because he was the strongest, but he can’t pull that crap with Kagura because Kagura is as, if not stronger than him. Kagura doesn’t fall into a neat box or category for him. He protects and fights her, while she fights and supports him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
LISTEN, I WILL ALWAYS BE BITTER MITSUBA DIED. This arc also subtly ties with the Mitsuba arc I think. For one, Sougo mentions his aneue, although for gag reasons, Kagura still gets to find out that Sougo had an older sister who died.
For all that we joke that Sougo’s gag proposal answers Kagura’s wish to never have an empty house again, Kagura’s statements here answers Mitsuba’s words when she said Sougo was always alone because he was ‘selfish, obstinate, and stubborn’. I will forever and always be bitter that we didn’t get to see more of Mitsuba. She would have been reassured and unbelievably happy that Sougo despite the way he is, is no longer alone. It’s not even just his brothers in the Shinsengumi, but rather for all his faults, there are other idiots like him willing to fight for him, support him, and protect him. In Kagura’s words in the manga, ‘idiots travel in packs’. I just can’t even imagine what would have happened had Mitsuba met Kagura. I think somehow, she would have been deeply grateful for her.
I love Kagura so much. That care and sensitivity, not just towards Kirie, but also towards Sougo. She knows him so well, despite all of his efforts to guard himself and hide. All of their interactions thus far lead her to confidently say that he’d be happiest with someone there to fight and trying to kill him (and personally for me, I think he’s happiest when fighting Kagura, see: post-timeskip).
In other words, this was a great arc for character insights and relationship building, not just for Sougo, but also Kagura. It’s not even for entirely shippy reasons. That mutual understanding and constant support amidst that outward dislike (they’re tsunderes, I tell you) is just another thing that makes their relationship and interactions so compelling. For all that Kagura knows him so well, Sougo proves that he also knows her just as much as the Feigned Illness arc and Post-Timeskip arc would show.
And how many chapters and arcs later, it’s still Kagura who gives him the reassurance he needs, and with character development marching on, he even finds it in himself to be vulnerable for once and actively seek her out for that exact same reassurance that only she can give.
I just really love mutually hella supportive ships. And it’s for these reasons, that I really think they’re perfect for each other. I honestly think Kagura is a special existence for Sougo. She’s the recipient for so many exceptions and out-of-character moments for him, that I think even after the manga has ended, no other girl for him will do.

Explaining my JSR iceberg meme
I'm talking about this bad boy that started existing like 2 years ago.
There are other iceberg images, but they put all the info from the entire franchise in one image. IMO it muddles the focus and you can't put all the spicy trivia and theories in, so it's only JSR related. One game can hold a lot more mysteries(especially now, with 2 leaked prototypes).
Tumblr media
Before i begin, here's a lil' intro. This image is symbolic to me, as it's a sign of how i really got invested in this game and franchise, and got into archiving things all JSR related because unfortunetaly the situation related to it is not really fresh and missinformation is far and wide, but situation is improving.
Gonna try to explain as short as possible. So look at the OG meme because i won't write full entry names and i will joke around. Also look at TCRF arcticle for JGR( https://tcrf.net/Jet_Grind_Radio_(Dreamcast) ) because it has a lot of stuff that i can't include. If you want a more detailed explanation on some entries, you can ask.
Enough with the ramblings, let's begin.
Level 1
Hi-Scool! Seha Girls! - anime with humanised Sega consoles. It has various game themed episodes and JSR was one of them.
Jet Grind Radio GBA and JP names - self explanatory. Despite not being released in Japan, it uses Japanese character names for unknown reasons.
Regional differences - literally every version of of JSR that exists, from the first Japanese release to the remaster and to the Android port, has some kind of difference. This one refers to the more obvious one's - the original release, international release and the updated version of the OG release. The most major one is the inclusion of a new storyline, 2 new levels, new graffiti, the tutorial level and a different credits sequence in international releases. Even some censorship! A lot of music differences too. There are even unused voice clips indended for the English versions of the game, where DJ K doesn't use Japanese words. For this one an entirely new post will be needed to explain it all.
Darksuitmen and Burger Queen - first one is in-universe movie ad and another is a fast-food joint from Shibuya-cho. Both have been changed at some point. Pictures can be found at TCRF. Funnily enough, Burger Queen returns in the remaster, alongside Burger Joint.
Beat's face texture - despite never appearing without the glasses, he has a face texture. This fact is well known and in the fandom.
JSR Guidebook - refering to the Jet Set Radio Perfect Guidebook that was only released in Japan. It's mostly known here for some included profiles that reveal info like age and height of some of the characters.
Level 2
JP dub - this fact is often overlooked but yeah, every character except DJ K have a different dub. A lot of them give characters a different feel entirely. Like, Yo-yo doesn't say "yo".
De la JSR - JP exclusive port that combines aspects of the OG release and international one's with some bug fixes.
Typing Jet - a Java typing game released in 2001 for Japanese mobile phones. As of now, this game is lost.
Swatch bilboard - unused in the final game, but somehow got the chance to appear in the Seha Girls anime. Wild.
Benten Burning Easter Egg - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GoDxMX4xz4
Design differences and wrist watches - character designs are inconsistent in every art and game model. To list them all another post is needed. And the wrist watches that Tab, Gum and Beat have are very weird. Not only they don't appear in the art, but in early trailers they don't have them at all. What are they exactly?
Big Blackout - event caused by the Noise Tanks.
Dunny Boy Williamson Show - the most famous cut song from JGR.
Fictional brands and The Inu King - JSR features a lot of them. Rokkaku brands are plentiful and they show how powerful they are. A lot of ads and brands are parodies and have funny stuff. Some examples i compiled. The Inu King ad features Potts and maybe is a The Lion King parody. And the SB one is obvious.
Tumblr media
JSR slot machine- self explanatory. The most interesting part about it is unique animated footage that it has.
Love Trap intro - It shows Love Shockers dancing on a building and jumping off it. Where is that building and where do they jump off is unclear.
Lever 3
Noise Tank's records - JGR manual says that they record sounds of the city with the help of recorders that are attached to them.
GG's don't take Potts for walks - self explanatory info from the manual.
P.Jam can talk to animals - self explanatory info from the manual.
"paste long judge quote here" - this is Onishima's catchphrase from the JGR manual. He doesn't say it in game unfortunetaly.
Cube is dead - JSR GBA manual description reads: "This stylish goth girl may look dead, but not only can she skate, Cube can spray with flair!"
Unique voices and designs for rival gangs - in the JP release there are different sounds for each of the rival gangs during the tag battle. VA is the same, but the way the sounds are made are different. Play the game to hear them lol. Design changes are in all versions.
Tumblr media
Early Cube, Combo and Coin photo - in JGR a placeholder texture can be found for the photo that appears in Chapter 2. TCRF article has the texture. In Aug 22 proto you can actually see it in action.
Dreamcast Express Vol. 5 - a demo disc type thing. It heatures the earliest known JSR gameplay trailer. And it has the only appearence of DJ K shoes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmKUJkvKmpM&t=8s
Ereki and version texture differences - i decided to combine these two, since they delve into one topic. Ereki is an early name for Beat that was discovered from one of his textures that was accidentaly left in the cutscene. JSR was rushed(it took 10 months to make it couldn't be not rushed) so early textures can be found left in some places. As soon as the cutscene that plays after the tutorial, in fact. The more versions there are - the more differences there are. Here some of the character one's moslty featuring names and minor design changes.
Tumblr media
Cone - the apparent intended way of how Corn's name should be said. The proof is his logo and the pronunsiation of the name in Japanese, Kon.
E3 graffiti in the final game - a lot of assets that otherwise were replaced, still appear in the final game in the weirdest places like cutscenes or the Bantam Street train.
Slate in tutorial - in the demo that was included in Official Sega Dreamcast Magazine Vol. 8 and in the E3 demo, Slate replaces Tab.
DJ K rap - one of the many unused audios are rap numbers from the man. One is in English and the other is in Japanese.
P.Jam alt mask - in one of the vids from JSR slot machine, P.Jam can be seen wearing a mask with the letter P on it. Pic included in the meme.
The cat warehouse - everyone knows about the cat room from JSRF, but no one really talks about from one in JSR. There are less cats, but still.
Tumblr media
Potts in Grind City - what da dog doin in chaper 2 cutscene
Tumblr media
Towers in Bantam -
Tumblr media
Level 4
Noise 66, Code, Nuts, Reco, Plug(Pench), P. Jam Black - various early names for playable characters thay can be found in the game files, referenced in graffiti and in the prototypes debug mode. These are names for Noise Tanks, Slate, Piranha, Cube, Garam, Unmasked P.Jam respectively.
Angry Onishima and Goji - both of these have an angry expression and Goji only has this one on his cutscene model. Possibly these were made for some cut cutscenes, or a gameplay thing in Onishima's case. Fun fact: Onishima has an unused voice clip where he yells WHAT THE-!? so maybe these are related. Also don't ask what is going on with Goji's textures.
Tumblr media
Removed broken cop bike - a removed occurance that can only be found functional in E3 demo. Small pic is included in the meme. Bike that in the final game just crash into youand then rides away to despawn, actually were intended to fall over and stay in the level. The only reminence of the broken bike left in the final, is a texture. Rider is also depicted visibly injured there.
Unused spicy movie poster - look at TCRF article for more details.
e_mu_elec_001 - possibly unused audio that was intended to play in Grind Square. No matter what i did i couldn't trigger it in game. Also dude from the audio sounds like Hayashi. Listen to it here: https://youtu.be/NBCELA4IhGc?t=258
E3 2000 JGR stage show - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XUL3Mui-gc
Gum picture in DJ K studio - it's just there. Does it mean that Gum is famous? Why K has it in his studio?
K and taxes - DJ K description from the JP JSR site tells that he knows everything about Tokyo-to, except how to write an income tax return. Yeah right.
The Rokkaku movie - referencing the ad from Bantam street. There is a possibility of Goji documentary movie being real.
Pink poet - aka Pink no Shijin, DJ K informant from Benten-cho. The guy that first got the news about the Devil's Contract. He is sort of an inside joke to me bc no one remembers him, and my first journey in the wiki stuff was writing an article about him on the old JSR wiki.
P.Jam with bats - concept art from the JSR documentary. Look at the art from there here: https://dedtoot.tumblr.com/post/642133419186372608/jet-set-radio-concept-art-but-now-you-can-look-at
Aug 22 build voice clips - this prototype revealed that in the final game some characters had their voice clips trimmed. I only noticed it with Piranha and Tab. I didn't check other characters for this thing, but here the Piranha sound. First the proto, next the remaster: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hM2Y6SeA5M4
Aug 22 build loading screen - this random loading screen appears here and nowhere else.
Tumblr media
Unused breathing noises - like in JSRF, characters here have a voice clip with them breathing heavily. Maybe they are not unused, but i definitely didn't hear them in the remaster. Does anybody know how to trigger them?
Slate's face - i had a nightmare about how i found a texture with how slate's face actually looks like and it scared me very much. It's funny so i put it in the meme. It's not the only weird dream i had but puting the other one's would be too strange.
digi - one cool person from asked me to put them in the meme so they are there.
Final Level
Removed Golden Rhino car - the enemy that can be found in the E3 version. interestingly enough, it's not the only instance of the cut car enemy in this franchise. Watch it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C4Gr_udZd0
Aliens - mentioned in one of the DJ K cutscenes. Are they really real?
Onishima's problems - JGR manual says that he hates young people because of some past trauma. One line from the JP JSR website description, that was removed from the JGR description, says that he claims to be able to live for a week entirely on booze and cigarettes. He is not ok at all.
Noise Tanks experiments - whatever the hell they did on Potts???Why???
P.Jam kidnapping incident - JGR manual says that they tried kidnapping a pretty girl, but stole a mannequins instead. They were playing up the old monster movie cliche card to a tee.
Garam moment - The sonic skull he has.
Gouji Laboratory - a sign from Bantam Street. What the lab does? What it develops? Is it related to Goji's son? No one knows.
Fantastic HA HA HA HAAAA Band - E3 version includes some unused music tracks in it's files, specifically two songs from Fuzita Blender that didn't made it in the final game. Ripped audios can be heard here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9M1_kX8hiQ&t=6s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YemnBIbUJaQ&t=28s
(UPDATE: it turned out the Fuzita Blender music thing was mentioned way back in 2013 in one of the Hideki Naganuma's tweets.(https://twitter.com/hideki_naganuma/status/341608944495648768?s=21&t=LTdpJxzxzZKK2ce5cE1Zpw) So i guess some real hardcore fan could know about it.)
JSR demo voice clips and sukebo - the demo includes 3 voice files, m, f and sukebo. The first two may be placeholders, but the last one may be for a cut character, that used a skateboard. All 3 files, go in the order that i said here(volume warning): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQ7H9mJ-5RA
E3 version features more destruction - E3 version weirdly had more stuff related to destroyed enemies vehicles, instead of driving away and despawning, they stayed on the map. E.g. cop car from the first Kogame-cho level didn't crashed into a fence and fell in the water, but instead crashed and fell on the stairs and stayed there. The game is in general more chaotic. I assume that all of these were removed for optimisation and lack of time reasons. But it makes me wonder, what JSR could've been with more powerful hardware, experience and time?
ко рн без трусів - cmon now.

Hey love, I did mine here but I need to ask about this "mjjw cherry magic au" because I'm sorry? but that sounds amazing and I need to know more! 😍😂
Oh god yeah my cursed amalgamation of AUs xd
So to any who don't know the (frankly god tier) drama "Cherry Magic", it's a Japanese drama about Adachi who turns 30 while still being a virgin, and magically is able to hear other people's thoughts upon hearing them. Adachi finds out pretty soon that his extremely hot, perfect and charismatic co-worker at his office has got an intense crush on him and after a series of mildly unfortunate events (reference not intended) he slowly ends up falling in love too. 10/10 Very great queer romance.
Anyway, so I kind of headcanon Moonjo as either on the ace spectrum or he is a person who just never really prioritized losing his virginity, not when he was passionate about other things and hadn't found his true masterpiece yet. In this AU, he turns 30 and gets magical ability, which have him a little confused at first, but he soon uses them to his own advantage.
Rather quickly he manipulates his co-workers and bosses by reading their thoughts, achieves what he wants to and ascends to higher positions in the office hierarchy. Not CEO, but he's now got a lot of power over people and the company's decisions.
So, its 5 years later. He's 35, and quite literally stumbles over the new hire, Jongwoo. Upon touching, Moonjo hears heaven's bells a-ringing (jk, he hears Jongwoo bitching about Moonjo walking into him, and he's intrigued). Jongwoo is pretty too, and after "some research" (stalking) he figures out Jongwoo is pretty talented and intelligent as well. And the pursuit continues, but Jongwoo evades him a lot. It's really annoying, bc he always puts too much space between them, and Moonjo can't use his ability to his advantage.
Usually it's not a problem bc people love being around him, handsome face and all. But not Jongwoo. And it makes Moonjo want him even more. He feels like Jongwoo is like him, honest and strong-minded, and that he wants to gain power over others.
So okay, several months later, as they both get off work close to midnight, Moonjo finally manages to do touch Jongwoo (the younger is pretty tired and out-of-it and nearly runs into the street before looking).
And he finds Jongwoo's thoughts to be an odd string of "God that bastard is so fucking handsome I want him to choke me but also I want to punch him in the face because he's so perfect all the time, and also what is it with him grinning all the time and his stupidly pretty eyes, god i HATE HIM"
Also Jieun is his girlfriend but with the same rocky stance, maybe even a little on-and-off. Haven't figured out how to throw in the rest of the characters, but Jaeho is propably Jongwoo's superior who dunks workload on him and Moonjo gets mad about it at some point and politely confronts Jaeho about it. Seokyoon is definitely our sweet over-energetic puppy Rokkaku who's cockblocking Mjjw
AHH sorry for rambling lmao but I have a lot of ~Feelings~ about Cherry Magic and Moonjo and Jongwoo <33

~ reveal your watch & rewatch drama list ~
tagged by @stickers-on-a-laptop, thank you!!
I already know I'm going to be rambling a lot because I can't not do that, so I'll put it all under a cut.
Watching:
Honboshi: Shinri Tokuso Jikenbo: Honestly I just started this because Kiriyama Renn is playing a detective and it made me laugh for Shoutarou reasons... but he doesn't have much of a role and he isn't playing a dramatic yelling idiot nor kissing people (listen, he's one of the few who does that well), and the plot itself isn't doing much for me, so it might join the list of stuff I ended up dropping. His hair is good though.
Old Fashion Cupcake: I mean I started this because the idea that another member of the Kamen Rider Build cast would do BL was (and still is) hilarious to me - but it is also very much amazing. Takeda, you really are the senpai here lmao.
Senpai, Danjite Koidewa!: It's cute. Not groundbreaking for now, but cute, and we'll see how it turns out.
Rewatching:
Oretachi wa Abunakunai ~ Cool ni Saboru Keijitachi: I mean it's hilarious, and Suzuki's character would give Ichirou a stroke. A fun thing to rewatch sometimes when I don't feel like starting anything new.
Zettai BL: I am making my husband watch it so it counts as a rewatch lol.
KeixYaku: I am also making my husband watch it haha (but I mean, knowing him if we watch one episode per week I'll be happy) and also I constantly rewatch scenes for inspiration and because I love them and miss them.
Plan to watch:
SO MANY THINGS.
I mean, the Cherry Magic movie, for a start. One day. Maybe. The two Fullmetal Alchemist movies, also one day, maybe.
-50kg no Cinderella and Shin Shinchou Kouki because Inukai Atsuhiro owns my life watchlist. Actually I still need to watch No Call No Life, and maybe one day also I can watch Dancing in her Dreams.
Tokyo Revengers because I promised my friends and keep forgetting but I WILL. Also Kamen Rider Ex-aid is next on my Kamen Rider list.
Minato Shouji Coin Laundry because of all the Rokkaku jokes we'll be able to make, probably.
Imawa no Kuni no Alice season 2 because season 1 was amazing and I'm so excited for the second one.
I'm not tagging people because I'm lazy and I barely use tumblr except to check tags directly so I don't know who's posting what on this hellsite, but please consider yourself tagged if you want to do it!

Short recap
Okay, so everyone knows I’d rather sit and watch out for the first Myu of the new cast to go out before I announce my not-so-humble opinion on them, and I’ve just started watching Tenimyu 3rd Seigaku vs Rokkaku (It’s possible that my opinion is softer thanks to waiting to search for info on new cast after initial disappointment on 8th graduation passed), and since it’s not Shitenhouji, I obviously went straight for the defining moment of the Myu, aka Golden Pair involving moment, AKA Dream Pair match in this case (lol, that’s another reason why my reception is what it is- I get to judge my three favorite characters’ portrayers at once), and so, after watching it, i present you with my opinion on that, in a short and long format.
IN SHORT: They passed.
IN LONG:
-HOLY SHIT FINALLY FUJI WITH YOUNG LOOKING FACE. Please fix your hair/wig, tho, I don’t thing Fuji ever had a mullet. And your voice. You’re supposed to be higher one, but at this point I’d prefer Eiji to get that part. Oh well, you’re still learning, right?
- Their Eiji’s face weirds me out, but in a Shota-way (the nose^^). Still, he sounds really rough, but warm and cheerful at the same time, reminds me a bit of Koseki Yuuta’s vs Fudoumine Eiji, which makes a weird mix (Kosetaish? Yutasakiish? A mix between 5th and 6th Kikumaru, in any case.) but I like both included actors, even if Stronza is miles ahead of anybody in terms of childish, boyish Kikumaru portrayal. People who expected a copy of Reo might get disappointed, though; he definitely is athletic, but I don’t think Reo’s acrobatics will get defeated any time soon. Oh well, he’s got time. Nagata  Seichiro was his name, I think? 100% Worth remembering.
-I’ve told you I need a Golden Pair defining moment to judge the myu and its cast, and in Rokkaku, Oishi’s still benched, so it might be hard to get it. I worried for nothing here, they have their defining moment here, and I appreciate actors for it (appreciate camerawork much less, for cutting it off) since my headcanon is that Eiji indeed went to Oishi after every match he played while blackhead was benched, and it’s good to see Tenimyu is agreeing with me.
-Bonus points for Golden Pair secret handshake. Is that a new trend set by 3rd season?
-Matsumura Yuu is Oishi’s actor and he does send mother hen vibes. Good to see. Shun passed a worried partner role into good hands.
-Rest of Seigaku is only blinked upon rn, and Tezuka is eternally absent from now on till Higa, so I hope this cast will be kept at least until then so that I get to see his actor eventually...
-however the first impression is that: we get a decent Momo, Kaidoh looks like a baby (again), Taka can’t get past Oishi’s supportive boyfriend aura with his own, Inui looks like a grandpa, and acts a bit like this, but that’s probably because TERUMA’s Inui is forever stuck in my mind as the “he’s the tensai’ deliverer. Echizen is...a bit too mature, even compared to first season Tenimyu’s brats, but that might be only my impression (you’ve seen him delivering one line total, Ao, and it was “really like a cat” of all things, cut the kid some slack). Trio is loud and annoying, so I guess how it should be. I approve for now, let’s see if they give us good Kachiro and I might give them a +

My review:
I think I don’t really have to explain much, the title does a good job. This is going to be a little different than most reviews I do. I’m not going to comment every scene or comment on every step of the storyline, even though I will try to. For the most part I’m just going to ramble around for a bit. And try to write my thoughts down.
I remember when Cherry Magic fan edits popped up on youtube and it looked so cute I just had to watch it. During that time winter came into my town and another lockdown was around the corner. So, this show was really there to brighten my day once a week (or for a few days while I binge watched it).
The concept was really interesting, too. And here are my thoughts about it:
Adachi and Kurosawa
We start our story one day before our protagonsts 30th birthday. His name is Adachi. He has very low self esteem and and little confidence in himself (sounds familiar) but a big heart. It’s not always easy for him to say “no” (espacially to his co-worker). His life is mostly uneventful and repetitive. UNTIL one day on his 30th birthday he discover that the old wives’ tale that you develop powers if you are a virgin for 30years is actually true. He is able to hear peoples thoughts!
At the beginning he isn’t really sure if it’s just all in his head or if he really has this power. On his way to work he meets his co-worker Kurosawa. Due to a very crowded elevator, Kurosawa accidentally touches Adachi. Because of that, Adachi finds out that his super popular and super handsome co-worker is actually madly in love with him (relatable right?)
At first Adachi tries to ingore his powers. He can not be sure that the things he hears are really other people’s thoughts or just him making stuff up. He avoides crowds and Kurosawa. But fate just throws these two together again and again.
Since Adachi can read thoughts, every encounter he has with Kurosawa from now on excalates pretty quickly. Because our boy Kurosawa is just as horny as we all are. One day Kurosawa is being a “nice boy” and helps Adachi with the workload that his co-worker asked him to do. Totally selfless of course, not in any way him trying to be near his crush or anything noo. After hearing Kurosawa gushing over Adachi’s mole on his neck, that Adachi wasn’t even aware of, he is now pretty sure that his powers are real.
Adachi knows that - if the tale is true - he will only lose his powers if he also loses his virginity. And let me tell you something... Honestly, sex is probably really great and all but...you have powers. You are basically one step away of becoming a superhero. You can help people with that. Come one now, this show just proves that asexuals are above us all and are so powerful and deserve to be wizards. If you were able to life a life without sex to your 30s, it’s not that hard, you are almost halfway there. Just hold on.
This show follows mostly our two main leads, Adachi and Kurosawa, trying to manage their love for each other. But what makes Cherry Magic so sweet and heardwarming is the fact, that there are other topics being addressed besides same-sex-love. Like I said earlier, Adachi has extreme low self-esteeem and this is one of the biggest reasons why it takes so long for Adachi to realize and accept that he is not only in love with Kurosawa but also that he deserve this kind of love.
So many times, Adachi chickens out of telling Kurosawa how he feels and espacially when Kurosawa wants to take things to the next level, Adachi needs time. And Kurosawa respects that (bare minimum, but sadly the bar is so low) and gives Adachi time.
Kurosawa also suffers from some incecurities that he not often talks about, but since Adachi has his powers, we are often granted a quick look into Kurosawas head. And these little thought trains that we get tell us so much more about Kurosawa and fully flesh him out as a character.
We get to know about his fantasies, his wishes, his fears and insecurities. Sometimes, when Adachi reads Kurosawas mind, we get little fantasies. We see Adachi through Kurosawas eyes and it’s always a cute scene of Adachi smiling. We see how beautiful Kurosawa thinks of Adachi.
We get one episode from Kurosawas perspective, where we discover how Kurosawa fell in love with Adachi. He was always “aware” that he was there, but he never really “noticed” him. One day, when they both are having dinner with their boss and some random creepy lady, both realize pretty quickly, why they are really there (because of their looks). Kurosawa notices that Adachi does not drink alcohol and therefore he takes his glass and get’s drunk quickly.
Even though, it seems like a dumb thing to do, it tells you so much about Kurosawas character. How he wants to help people, even if that means he is the one to “suffer”. No matter the consequences, he helped his co-worker out there. The lady starts harassing Kurosawa and he turns her down in a very obvious way which was apparently something he wasn’t allowed to do. But fuck this lady and fuck his boss. Kurosawa, you did nothing wrong. She did.
He overhears his boss saying that Kurosawa is only a pretty face and apparently he can’t even do that right. This just gives him the rest and he leaves. Adachi, who was surprised by Kurosawa’s actions (drinking the alcohol for him), follows him outside to comfort him.
It’s a very touching backstory and it’s great that we get it in the middle of the show and not at the beginning, only allowing the characters to become more fleshed out.
When Adachi reads Kurosawa’s thoughts, he mostly thinks about how much he adores Adachi and how much he wants to help him becoming more confident. He often is pretty hard on himself and blames himself for things too often. He seems calm on the surface, but his inner-monologues show how much of a chaotic hopeless romantic he really is.
A reaccuring theme is Adachi being a little put off by how often Kurosawa get’s presents or just admiring looks or words. Because he get’s none and if so, he can’t really take compliments well.
What is really interesting is that through Adachi, we can hear that Kurosawa is not really enjoying all of this presents and kind words of his (mostly) female co-workers. He just wants to be praised for his work not his looks. Which is something only pretty people say. No, fr, I can only imagine that it’s super annoying that people only view you as “pretty” and therefore do not acknowledge your talents and skills. This show actually deals with that nicely. In Kurosawa’s episode he has this beautiful monologue: I had an advantage because of my looks. I hated that people only saw my looks. I knew it would annoy others if I talked about it. So, I pretended it didn’t bother me.
This show was not only about love, but also about loving and respecting yourself. Trusting yourself and gaining a little more confidence in yourself. What I loved so much about Kurosawa and Adachi is that they bring out the best in each other and help each other in so many ways.
At one point, Adachi tells Kurosawa the truth about his powers. Kurosawa tells him that he actually is happy that he has his powers, since they were the reason they got together in the first place.
But Adachi is not so happy about it. He grew used of the powers and now fears that his relationship won’t work out with Kurosawa, once he loses them. Since he wouldn’t be able to read his mind anymore, like he used to. The only option Adachi sees is: breaking up. And since Kurosawa respects his wishes, he leaves (hoping that Adachi would fight for him and maybe hold him back).
They make up in the end, when Adachi realizes that maybe communicating would be another option they have left. Because, guess what, that’s what most people do. So, they get back together and Kurosawa basically proposes to Adachi, which seemed...quite abruptly tbh. But hey, everyone has their own pace.
Tumblr media
Minato and Tsuge
Tsuge is Adachi’s best friend and also a virgin. Later, he becomes a wizard like Adachi, being able to read minds. He is a writer and spends his time at home 20/7, the 4 hours are probably just the hours he is willing to leave for grocery shopping and eating out with Adachi.
He has a really sweet cat and this cat will help him get him his future boyfriend. Minato, is his name. He works as a deliveryman. Tsuge doesn’t like Minato very much, since he is a so called “youngster” (oh gosh I think a brain cell just died while writing this).
Minato feels the same way about Tsuge “the old man”, but does love his cat. Tsuge develops feelings for Minato pretty quickly and even begins to stalks him, to find out more about him. He orders so much stuff from different shops just so this guy would show up at his doorstep again.
He finds out that Minato is actually trying to fullfil his dreams of becoming a dancer.
While it would’ve been a sweet idea, this couple couldn’t really win me over. First and foremost, how old is Minato supposed to be? The actor was at that point approximately 20/21 and he looks way younger than that tbh.  And in the show it’s never stated how old he is, his love interest states multiple times that he is “young” and refers to him as “the youngster(s)”. And it’s clear that Tsuge is 30. So...I just can’t ship them. Like, they are both of age and adults but it still feels weird for some reason. If the actor would at least look older...I guess that would maybe change my view on them. In reallife they are 6 (?) years apart which is still a lot but way less than what seems to be 8 or 10 years on the show.
It really didn’t help that Tsuge was the one initiating the relatioship and stalking Minato. Others called him even a pervert and honestly...he acted like one. Secretly talking pictures of someone, following them around, etc.
On top of that, their scenes often included cringy / over the top acting and triggered my second-hand embarassment, which...was that really necessary? Maybe, it was part of Tsuge’s character in the Manga, but you just can’t translate everything into a life-action show, because it looks hideous and awkward. In the more serious scene that Tsuge was in, he actually wasn’t all that bad.
I can take cringy acting, that’s how I survived most BL’s actually. But was it really necessary to have Tsuge kneel before Minato and scream at him how sorry he is in public? While people are watching? And Minato doesn’t really seem to be delighted by that. I’m sorry, but that’s where I draw the line, my cringe-o-meter exploded. I’m a very private and introverted person, so that just wasn’t it for me.
It actually hurts my heart that so many people think this is how socially awkward people behave, which - as a socially awkward person - I can’t confirm. We don’t flinch everytime people touch us, we don’t scream and shout and talk very fast, when we get nervous (at least not to that extent). And we don’t...ugh..back to the series.
I mean they had potential, they could’ve been cute and I don’t mind if anyone is shipping them, it’s just really icky to me and I can’t do that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Things I disliked
The actors ages. I mean, I know that most asians look very young, but come on. No one can tell me that these guys are supposed to be 30. I guess the actor of Kurosawa was about 29 (?) so he comes closest (he doesn’t look like he is 30 but I appreciate the attempt) but the others...They just don’t look like they are 30. And please, don’t cast some really young-looking dude as the love interest of a supposedly 30-year old.
Over the top “humorous scenes”. It doesn’t make me laugh, just cringe. But this happened only with scenes between Minato and Tsuge. Sometimes, I just skipped them. But yeah...not everyone’s tea I guess.
No kiss. I don’t need NC scenes or anything too intimate. But the whole no-kissing seems more like a “no homo” situation here. These guys are insanely in love and are basically married and you tell me that they didn’t even kiss on camera ONCE? Don’t tell me they are asexual or anything (even though I would love to see more representation like that, I mean if the actors don’t wanna kiss or the management is against it, why not create a little more representation while you’re at it?) because I would support that, they just didn’t want to show that or maybe the actors didn’t want to kiss. But then again I ask myself...why not cast actors who actually want to act out the role? Or was it a management issue? Whatever it was, defiinitely made it seem less believeable and it felt more rushed. Like, even if you give me the classic “fish kiss” with eyes wide open and it’s basically just them pressing their lips together...this treatment most Korean BLs get (thank you TMS honestly) it would’ve been better imo.
Also, Minato and Tsuge had a kissing scene (it wasn’t good but still). And that even further aligns with my theory of the actors or the management not wanting them to kiss. But this show is still cute and enjoyable, so I’ll let it slide this one time.
Rushed ending. Like I already said, this kind-of-proposal came out of nowhere for me and felt rushed. Sure, they know each other for years, but they only began to grow closer over the last couple weeks. Shouldn’t they start with dating first, then go to living together for a few couple of months and then - after really being sure that they want it and after talking it through - propose? But hey, I’m the single one here, so maybe I am in the wrong here.
Things I liked
How they handlded Adachi’s powers. Adachi was suddenly able to read peoples thoughts. One of the most private and intimate things. And Kurosawa was just like ‘“k, I’m actually glad you secretly kept reading my thoughts” which seemed a little too anti-climactic. Please, sweety at least pretend that you are a little hurt that your boyfriend kept reading your most private thoughts. It’s like someone reading your diary without your permission.
But apart from that, they handlded it actually quite well. Adachi wasn’t super okay with reading other people’s thoughts. He didn’t use it for revenge, there were no bad intentions. He always wanted to help and only used it as a way to help others or clear things up. When he did use it for his own advantage, he felt bad afterwards.
Miscommunication subplot. Overused, lame, just for the sake of plot, annoying - these are the first things that come into my mind, when thinking about miscommunication subplots. But Cherry Magic actually did a decent job at it. There was a miscommunicating subplot at the end and I expected to hate it, but I actually did like it.
It makes so much sense here, since Adachi was so used to his powers at some point, that losing them seemed like he was no longer able to understand people or their feelings. The “oh no I lost my powers and since I used them to understand Kurosawa better I don’t know if we can be together now that I don’t have them anymore” struggle seems realistic.
Tsuge only made it worse by saying: “I forgot how difficult it is to sense other’s feelings [without being ablte to read their thoughts]” after having a minor fight with Minato. And since Adachi is a person that worries and overthinks quite often and easily, he didn’t take it too well. It could’ve been so much better, if they did actually drag it out a little more. But maybe it’s for the better like that. They got the most important points across, even though they resolved it pretty quickly.
No happily ever after. This title is actually a little misleading, since the couple did get a happy ending. What I mean with that is that they didn’t give the couple a “they are now offically a couple so there story ends with that”. Most shows think that viewers only want to see the couple coming together and call it a day. In Cherry Magic the story doesn’t end with them getting together. We see them struggle with their relationship, going on cute dates, breaking up, resolving their issues and semi-propose.
It’s nothing new or groundbreaking, but it’s rare and refreshing to see. I do like that shows always try to give us the “and all was well” happy ending after they get together, but seeing storyline like Cherry Magic, where they actually deal with them being a couple and show us their ups and dows, I really appreciate that.
Special episodes. IIRC there are a total of 3 special episodes that are just the cherry on top of this cake. I really did enjoy them. They weren’t necessary for the story to work, but were a nice add to it. Pure fluff and comedy. Speaking of fluff-
Fluff and feel-good. This show in no way ITSAY or MOD and nowhere near them. It doesn’t make you ugly cry at 3 o’clock in the morning. And it’s not a mystery where you sit at the edge of your seat, trying to figure out who is the big bad guy. But - and this is important - this show is not meant for you to feel these kind of emotions. Cherry Magic is more of a rom-com. A feel-good show. Some sort of “grab your blanket and some hot chocolate and watch it and feel safe” kind of show. Espacially needed during whatever the hell is going on right now.
So, if you ever want a show, where the leads are adorable and relatable, where there is a little sprinkle of magic and a ton of fluff and you just wanna lay back and find a safe space to escape reality, this is the show for you.
I think this covers my thoughts on this series. Thanks for reading. Check out my other reviews.

Y’know I’m just going to ramble about some stuff because why not so Here’s what I think my egg’s relationships with other Sega villains (that I know enough about) would be anyway
Since it’s gonna get long I’ll just,,
Onishima (Jet Set Radio) Onishima is pretty much an almost normal cop with really weird orders from Rokkaku and anger problems. Since Eggman’s always trying to take over the world, Onishima would probably hate him. Really, Onishima would probably either make it his mission to take Eggman down, or he’d just offer his support to Sonic if they need it, but not do too much on his own just because he’s just a police captain, and just him (and his dogs, tanks, choppers, SWAT teams, and everything else) still probably wouldn’t stand much of a chance against Eggman. Not only that, but Onishima’s not really the greatest planner and would likely cause more damage for Sonic to have to clean up. Plus, he has the Rudies to worry about at the same time.
Eggman would probably relate to his anger issues and want Onishima on his side at first, but it’d become apparent that Onishima wants no part of his nonsense, and Eggman would either ignore him from that point on or personally drop little ‘hints’ (in the form of his own ‘Rudie’ robots) that he doesn’t appreciate Onishima’s refusal.
Hayashi (Jet Set Radio) Eggman would likely find an ally in Hayashi. After all, it looks like Hayashi only joined the cops when Rokkaku took them over and corrupted them. It seems like he’s seeking power and/or money. And Eggman would have both. It would probably take a bit of a battle between Eggman’s robots and Hayashi’s forces for a moment, but once Hayashi realizes what Eggman’s got, he would probably try to go with him.
Eggman would probably appreciate the Terror Drone that Hayashi has used a few times and ask for it from Hayashi as a bit of a way to prove that he wanted to work with him. Once the Terror Drone would be in his grasp, he would likely make an army of Terror Drone robots. As for Hayashi, Eggman would either be finished with him there and not do anything with him, or he’d let him pilot the more ‘experimental’ machines that he’s made and hasn’t tested. It wouldn’t be that Eggman hates him, it’d be more like Eggman wouldn’t be able to find any other use but Hayashi’s a loon and is absolutely okay with doing that even though it could be potentially dangerous, so he’d offer to do it.
Rokkaku (Jet Set Radio) Seeing Eggman’s army of robots would likely make Rokkaku want to add him to his own forces. Meanwhile, Eggman, seeing his influence in Tokyto-to, as well as his own forces (the police and the Golden Rhinos), would want to add them to his own forces. This would make things confusing, but they would probably form an alliance, both of them believing that they’re the one in control. Rokkaku is so out of it that he’s probably oblivious to the fact that Eggman believes he’s the one in charge, and so he acts like he’s in charge, and Eggman returns that act. Despite this, neither of them seem to care that the other thinks they’re in charge of everything. It would basically be an awkward friendship.
With this pact of theirs, Eggman would probably gain more enemies as well in the Rudies. The GGs, at the very least. But he likely wouldn’t be too afraid. If things get bad enough, though, Eggman might just take his forces out of Tokyo-to.
Dr. Bad-Boon (Super Monkey Ball) Despite Eggman’s hatred of animals in general, this monkey may have his attention and possibly his respect. This one is a scientist like himself who bothers other animals, after all. He’d probably use him for his technology, but tweak it to do more useful things than just change the flavors of bananas or suck up bananas.
Bad-Boon would probably be trying to do the same thing with Eggman and try to take ideas from the other doctor’s technology, perhaps trying to create more robots or stronger weapons. With Eggman’s technology, perhaps he’d finally get MeeMee’s love- by threatening her or those she loves with his newfound weaponry.
Wizeman (NiGHTS) With the horrifying powerful things he’s stumbled across before, Eggman would probably have to stumble across Wizeman eventually. Wizeman might actually almost like Eggman, but he’d likely think of Eggman as lower than him and more of a minion than anything else. And that’s how he’d treat him- maybe slightly better than most people, but still pretty badly.
Eggman would just put up with the treatment. After all, would you mess with something like Wizeman? But behind Wizeman’s back, Eggman would probably be trying to figure out a way to harness his power to use as his own. One way to do that would probably be to gain his actual friendship, but of course, that would be difficult. Another way would be to promise power to Wizeman, but Eggman doesn’t really do that without plans to betray whoever he promises power to, and Wizeman doesn’t seem to be someone to be betraying.
Dark Raven (Billy Hatcher) So, this raven is the boss of the crows and hates chickens. But that’s not what would be interesting to Eggman. No, this bird seems to have an apparent power over darkness. And that could be useful. Not only that, but he has his own forces and can have things trapped in golden eggs. And as the Eggman, what’s not to like about that? Like with Wizeman, Eggman would likely be trying to find out how to harness Dark Raven’s power- which could again be accomplished through achieving an actual friendship, but again, that would be hard to do, or, again, promising power.
Dark Raven probably wouldn’t find Eggman to be anything too special, but he might find him amusing and, if Eggman proves his intelligence, he might find him useful. Like Wizeman, he might just treat him like a minion, but that’s better than how he would treat his enemies.
Goldman (House of the Dead) With all of the weird monsters Goldman has under his control, Eggman might just want to join him, just to see what he’s going to come up with next. As usual, it would likely be one of his ‘but I’m still the boss’ type of joining people, though. Goldman would likely be just fine with it, believing that he could use Eggman’s robots and his own monsters for his purposes. At the very least, he would think that Eggman would be fine with destroying other people.
The thing is, Goldman is very for nature and not mankind. So perhaps, upon realizing that Eggman’s basically only wanting to benefit himself (which is a branch of mankind) and hates nature (but not quite as much as he once did), Goldman might just turn on him. That doesn’t mean that Sonic would likely appreciate Goldman’s ‘help,’ however. Goldman’s beliefs are so extreme that he doesn’t recognize when he’s taking things too far- which he often does.
#ooc#i'm sad that these are the only villains i know enough about to form an opinion on what their relationships would be#i might just be forgetting some though? i mean possibly#i mean there's also like reala but i don't know enough about him to really know#i couldn't find a list of sega villains that weren't all just sonic villains so i had to go by my own memory#there's so much sega stuff i should look into#long post //#also though why does house of the dead 2 feel like a parody of res.ident ev.il like i love it and re but holy d a n g dude#i mean you got the zombies the other horrifying beasts you got go.ldman who's like we.sker#also i need to play billy hatcher and nights i didn't get too far in either of em but billy hatcher was my childhood anyway#same with monkey ball tbh#anyways i guess there's sorta a will to write now since i wrote all of this#and i gained slight muse for a few of the villains here but i'm not gonna;; make blogs for them#because the muse is temporary and was only there because i wrote about em for a moment#though ngl i have thought about making a wizeman blog and i had an rp account for james from house of the dead on deviantart#although it was a hecking joke but still i like gold.man basically and wish i could write wes.ker who;; i also had an rp account for#asdgkjasdhg we ain't doing this nuh-uh#sorry for all of the speculation-speak btw i'm just guessing on everything and that's why there's like multiple 'outcomes'#like even if some of them are my muses and/or muses i wanted at one point i can't be too sure

Who wants some rambling Opinions on rokkakumyu?
So, new Seigaku babies. They’re all cute.
I really love Inui (who didn’t really do a lot, but he feels like he’s going down the Teruma route of Inui characterisation and he is my favourite Inui)
Ryoma and his breathy voice is so cute!! Ryoma doesn’t get to do much in this myu, but he does shine in the bits he does do so I’m really looking forward to rikkaimyu to see him have some matches and plot things to do.
I like Tezuka a lot too. Again, he barely does anything in this musical, which sucks hopefully this cast will stick around till Higa so that Tezuka can do things because it would really suck if he was cast to just to appear when Ryoma needs to be soothed by his voice.
So, that duet, huh? I do really love Road buuuuut Standby is a better song and I’d rather listen to Standby as the pillar duet part than Road. I mean, I would have loved another pillar duet->team song, but they did give us a load of new songs so I guess they didn’t have time to pander to me again lol, but yeah, singing Road and Standby back to back just shows how much better Standby is. I did enjoy the pillar duet, don’t get me wrong, but... it could have been a little better.
The only new song that really stuck with me was the new hyotei song and that’s only because of Atobe’s singing. The rest were good, but not as memorable than the old ones, but then again i have watched rokkakumyu A Lot and maybe the old songs are just so familiar to me that change is scary lol.
I did yell ‘Fine, I’LL SING FORWARD MY MEN MYSELF!’ at the screen and then they broke out into it. No hip thrusts though. Give me back my hip thrusts.

I loved this Rokkaku cast. a lot. I’m usually kinda meh on casting the characters they left out before just for them to sit around doing nothing, but man, Shuudoh, you are such a lad.
Bane’s bro-fists, I need more!
I could go on and on about how much I love Rokkaku, but I’ll spare you, they’re all amazing and every second they’re on stage is fantastic.
I swear Hyotei aren’t in this musical as much as the other ones. Like, they do all the same things as the other musicals, I can’t think of anything they’ve cut out or anything. Maybe tenimyu has learnt how to pace the hyotei parts.
I swear Rokkaku show up much earlier than in the other rokkakumyus.
Oh, replacing Forward My Men with a ballad does work but it’s waaaaaay less fun.
I love ballet Atobe. Give me more ballet Atobe.
Oh, Fuji is really pretty and comes across as a Fuji I’d like, but his match is very quick and he doesn’t get to put across Fuji (this makes sense in my head). Again, I look forward to seeing him in the next myu, although Fuji’s character starts to go weird in the latter half of the story.
Urm
I think that’s it
I love it. I utterly loved it.
Oh and because my folders are a mess, have some Rokkakumyu with Touken Ranbu myu subs
