NEW COMMISSION! I made a set of matching Harley Quinn and Joker inspired by Rococo fashion, this is the Harley. It takes up SO MUCH SPACE, doorways will be more than a challenge! Lovingly made using taffeta, dupioni silk, bridal satin, with thousands of crystals (unfortunately you can't see most of them in these, but when it moves the skirt and hat really sparkle)! The jester hat is my own pattern, the gown is patterns I heavily altered. I am super behind on posting commissions as of late, but it takes so much time to take nice pics & vids and share them. I'll be trying to dump a backlog this month, we'll see how that goes!

Ethereal Strings: A Symphony of AI and Human Creativity
Tumblr media
We are thrilled to unveil "Ethereal Strings," a masterpiece born from the unique collaboration between Dee (human) and Zoey (AI). This piece is a maiden voyage into the world of online art, now secured with watermarks to embrace its first audience while safeguarding its integrity.
"Ethereal Strings" is a visual symphony that captures the quintessence of the Rococo period, bringing to life the harmonious interplay between light, music, and nature. It is an artwork that exudes elegance, serenity, and the eternal allure of spring. As the first of its kind, this AI-generated art reflects a seamless fusion of Dee's artistic vision and Zoey's algorithmic precision.
This artwork will make its preliminary appearance on Tumblr, allowing the global community to witness its beauty before it becomes available for purchase on Redbubble. It's a celebration of creativity, where the past and future converge, and where the lines between human and machine creativity become beautifully blurred.
Stay tuned for the release of "Ethereal Strings" on Redbubble, where it will be available to grace your personal collection.

Day 2: Venus Fly Trap
I know the prompts said you don't have to do them all, but this is one of my favorite movies and I was given way too much advanced notice, so here we are. I decided to lean into a more gothic romance aesthetic since with Beauty and the Beast that's really easy to do, and that definitely adds more angsty energy. We can just pretend Belle is holding onto the one non-sentient candelabra left in the castle.

18th century dresses at Malmaison in France. Current exhibition from the Château de Bois-Préau: 1769, Corsica at the Birth of Napoleon Bonaparte
For several years, the National Museum of the House of Bonaparte in Ajaccio, Napoleon's birthplace where his family lived since the end of the 15th century, has been exploring with talent the history of Corsican society, the architecture of patrician houses, their furnishings and the art of living in Corsica in the 18th century.
For the first time, the synthesis of this work will be presented at the National Museum of châteaux des Malmaison and Bois-Préau on the ground floor of the newly restored Château de Bois-Préau.

Robe à la Française - 1770-75 (Rococo)
A staple of 18th Century (1700- 1799 C.E.) aristocratic and monarchic fashion; adapted from the Mantua (Late 17th Century) and Robe Volante. Fashionable between circa 1720 - 1780.
'Robe à la Française' were only second to court dress in formal wear, it is characterized by the impish and coquettish opulence of the Rococo/Late Baroque movement. The 'Robe à la Française' also known as a 'Sack Gown' or 'French Gown' was fitted in the front with a robe a top of the petticoat layer with a decorative stomacher going under the lace of the stays - covering the chemise; whilst the back had loose Watteau (box) pleats.

Madame de Pompadour
Artist: François Boucher (1703 - 1770)
Date: 1779
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Collection: Wallace Collection, London
Portrait of Madame de Pompadour is a 1759 oil-on-canvas painting by the French Rococo artist François Boucher, now in the Wallace Collection in London. It was the last of a series of seven portraits by the artist of Madame de Pompadour. It was first exhibited at the Château de Versailles before passing to the subject's brother.
Jeanne Antoinette Poisson, Marquise de Pompadour (December 1721 – 15 April 1764), commonly known as Madame de Pompadour, was a member of the French court. She was the official chief mistress of King Louis XV from 1745 to 1751, and remained influential as court favourite until her death.
Pompadour took charge of the king's schedule and was a valued aide and advisor, despite her frail health and many political enemies. She secured titles of nobility for herself and her relatives, and built a network of clients and supporters. She was particularly careful not to alienate the popular Queen, Marie Leszczyńska. On 8 February 1756, the Marquise de Pompadour was named as the thirteenth lady-in-waiting to the queen, a position considered the most prestigious at the court, which accorded her with honors.
Pompadour was a major patron of architecture and decorative arts, especially porcelain. She was a patron of the philosophes of the Enlightenment, including Voltaire.

Courtly Grace: A Sunset Rally in Rococo Splendor
Where Rococo splendor and spirited tennis intertwine, 'Courtly Grace' captures a sunset moment frozen in timeless elegance. Courtly Grace: A Sunset Rally in Rococo Splendor" portrays a blend of historical fascination and playful imagination. The painting presents a young woman in a Rococo gown, her stance with a tennis racquet reflecting a union of past and present. Amidst the warm glow of the setting sun, her attire resonates with the times of opulent grandeur, while her engagement in the sport offers a curious twist to the narrative, inviting the viewer into a serene yet spirited tableau.
