While Senritsus favorite meal is "Strammer Max" as a hearthy hangover-dish served in pubs and diners that the woman had lived on for years on her travels, her comfort dish in the manne rof a dish she knows how to prepare and always would be able to prepare is "Hasenpfeffer". "Hasenpfeffer is a traditional Dutch and German stew made from marinated rabbit or hare (Feet, chest, heart, liver: the parts of the animals that are not good for frying) , cut into stewing-meat sized pieces and braised with onions and a marinade made from wine and vinegar.Hase is German for "hare" and Pfeffer is German for "pepper" although in the culinary context it refers generically to the spices and seasonings in a dish overall, as with the German ginger cookies called Pfeffernüsse. Seasonings typically include fresh cracked black pepper or whole peppercorns, along with salt, onions, garlic, lemon, sage, thyme, rosemary, allspice, juniper berries, cloves, and bay leaf."

As a young girl Senritsu would hunt rabbits with a slingshot and bring them for the stew to her mother and as a adult she still is a very, very good Hunter in the literal sense of the word. She knows how to survive on her own in a lost place and it had never changed. Accordingly when she is out in the wilderness for her work, she very often would end up preparing the stew for herself and it is one of the only recieps that she actually can prepare.

Senritsus favorite drink is black tea with milk and rocksugar as it had been the tea her father would prefer for her and she also always find great comfort in it. However, another drink that gives her comfort? A cold bottle of dark beer ("Ein Dunkles") she can drink after work with her colleagues while joking around with them. Nothing tastes better.

Standing beside Kurapika Senritsu reached up and lay a small hand on his pocket on his clenched fist beneath. She did not said anything, but the way she loooked up to the younger with the worried line between her big eyes turning as deep as a scar, may was saying more than any words. Accordingly it did not needed any words when she accompanied him into the staff-kitchen and walked around swiftly to take two cups, set the kettle to boil and find teabags, sugar and milk for them. It was a warm afternoon- long, yellow streaks of sunlight fell through the small windows into the dark kitchen and turned the cheap kitchencounter made for usage by the staff into pure gold.

After a few moments Senritsu filled the black tea over the rocksugar in two cups and added a little milk before bringing the cups over to Kurapika- she had tilted her head to the side, listenign attentive when Kurapika sat down listening attentive for when he watched her preparing the tea, listening attentive when his hands grasped for the teacup, listening attentive when he took a sip. Only than she nodded slowly, answering her own question she had wanted to ask since they had stepped into the mansion. "You could still leave, you know." She said eventually, not watching Kurapika as her eyes looked at the dark tea in her cup where the milkdrops had opned like clouds into a dark autumnday. Instead she was listening. Listening attentive: "I know, you think that you have to work here, but you do not have to. There are other ways to find your peoples eyes. You could even work directly for the Hunter Association and climb up in the ranks to gain as much influence as you would have here in the Mafia. The Hunter Association has just as much influence as the Mafia, especially after the Dons had been murdered now. And you would be protected there. And also happy between people who think alike with you. I am glad you are here with me, but also you do not have to. Here it is easy-" She thought about her oldest sister. Kurapika suddenly felt enveloped in soft warmth. He smiled, a sincere smile closing his eyes for a few moments as they were on their way to the mansion "The feeling is mutual, Senritsu…" he mentioned in a soft voice. Kurapika felt warmth and emanated his own warmth

Arriving again at the human parts collector's mansion, Kurapika let her enter first and then followed her, however, as soon as he set foot inside the hall, that feeling of warmth faded in a second. The soft glow in his gray contact lens had disappeared. It was a lost, lifeless gaze, as if he were dead inside. At the end of the long hallway stood Neon, admiring her pair of (false) scarlet eyes. As if they were a toy. As if they had never been human with dreams, feelings and hopes.

"… Being here would be a real hell if I didn't have you by my side, Senritsu…" he mentioned sincerely. Kurapika held on, took a deep breath and held on as best he could. Finally heading over to where Light was "I got your message" his hands casually tucked into the pants pockets of his suit. Thank you for coming so quickly, in a few hours we will have a small party with higher-ups from other families, and I need you to protect Neon while we are there

The blond, slightly shaken by his words, tried to be as polite as possible "Excuse my boldness, but don't you think we shouldn't expose Neon to a party of that… category? … She's not even old enough to make… transactions" I know, I don't feel safe about her going either, but she's really insisting and I can't say no, if you can convince her I'll thank you, but if not, I need you to protect her tonight. "You can trust the life of your daughter in my hands, Mr. Nostrade" Finally saying goodbye to him, Kurapika let out a heavy sigh. "How about we go have some tea? This is going to be a long night and I'm going to need it" He hid his hands in his pockets again, trying not to make it obvious, at least to the rest of the members and workers of the Nostrade family, that he was clenching his fists firmly

Tea Newbie Tip #4 - Buying Tea Accessories.

Once you’ve picked your tool for steeping (infuser mug, tea makers, tea ball ect.) and you’ve picked your first round of teas to sample, the last thing you maybe tempted to purchase is accessories. Now I am primarily gonna touch upon the two most common accessories people often asked for during my time at Teavana. Tea scoops and sweetener options.

Tea Scoop

The tea scoop is a very handy tool for starting out in tea, as it will allow you to follow the brewing instructions on the package much more easily. Can you use a regular teaspoon? Yes, but it’s nice to have an extra, very inexpensive tool to help you get the perfect measurement of tea. Tea scoops generally measure out to a teaspoon, but they are also usually more rounded and deeper in order to better scoop large pieces of flowers, spice or fruit that might be in your tea.

They usually only run a couple bucks, and honestly in the end is well worth it.

Sweetener

Sweetener options vary store to store. At Teavana out primary sweetener was Belgian Rock Sugar, a type of sugar that added a nice sweetness to your cup without overpowering the flavor with a sugary taste. This can still be found in other tea shops like DavidsTea. However DavidsTea also carries natural sweeteners like agave and honey sticks.

These options are completely up to you. They are not something you absolutely need to start out, but might be something to revisit later after you have tasted a few teas. My recommendation though is taste your teas without sweeteners first. I find it allows you to get a better sense of the tea’s natural flavor. If later you feel a tea may need a dash of something to pull the flavor out a little more, then you do you.

What's one thing that instantly transports your muse back to their childhood? Why?

oc asks: childhood edition The one thing that will instantly bring Senritsu back to her childhood is a big, hot cup of strong black tea with rocksugar and cream in it. Her father studied music in the equivalent of Lübeck and had grown up in the equivalent of Ratzeburg so he had lived in an area in which frisian tea-ceremony is widespread. He had grown up with drinking black tea and while he left his life behind himself without looking back when he met Senritsus mother and joined the Traveling People (so appruptly and cleanly, that Senritsu does not know about her paternal grandparents or other familymembers as she doe snot even knows her fathers actual name), he kept the habits of what to eat and especially what to drink. When he had children, he would every morning brew a big kettle of black tea, fill six big cups with rockcandy, tea and cream and hadn them to his gaggle of children before breakfast to make sure they had warmed up properly with the tea an drank something. WWhen Senritsu and her siblings started Online-school, they would take the big cups with them to the first two lessons to drink from and after those two lessons they would have breakfast together with their parents and drink water or juice. h tea was therefor served to them to wake them up (it was strong balck tea after all) and fill their bellys (with hot tea, sugar and cream). Also Senritsus father had a lot of joy in taking care of his children and he especially loved having this tea-ceremony with them because it was as well as Lowgerman, specifically something only he and his children shared with eachother. Senritsu nowdays still loves to drink black tea this way and even, as someone who always has her belongings in check to make sure she only has light baggage for travels, has a teabox with assam tea with her on every journey.
