After Pine Grove Campground, and passing through Rock Creek Lodge where there was one couple at a cabin in a place that looked otherwise abandoned for winter, the trail had some sections of log planks through a dense pine forest. This helped keep me on the actual trail, which I was starting to lose once in a while by now.
