So before I continue my papa Adam staff and sisters exorcists I want to settle some of my headcanons on them + heaven in general (including some redesigns)

Birds of prey AU

How were exorcists created.

- Hell was growing. So was its power. Heaven began to feel threatened by Lilith and her kingdom.

- So they decided they needed protection. Seraphims wanted to create an invincible army to protect the citizens of Spheres. Army that would consist of utterly loyal soldiers.

- Exorcists were created in the likeness of birds of prey - beautiful, vicious and smart.

- Exorcist weren’t exactly a heavenborns. Technically, they were never born. They were created. But still, they’re not robots. Actually, all of them have personalities. Their own wishes, dreams and thoughts. But one thing they have - never doubt Heaven and orders. Never doubt Adam. They can question a lot of stuff in their lives, but never Heaven.

- They don’t have compassion, they don’t show mercy. They are supposed to be baby soldiers.

- Magic of Lilith can slip through Pearly Gates. And one of the newfound army was affected by that. One of the nestlings - so different from others - was created with a curse and a blessing - it was given the free will. A will to question, a will to show compassion, a will to seek knowledge and a will to have soul.

- Sera and Adam had their doubts about Vaggie, but decided to keep her, so the only thing left was to keep an eye on the broken child, preventing her from turning against Heaven.

Exorcists species.

For exorcists were created in the likeness of birds of prey, they vary from each other.

They have their own strengths and weaknesses. Their wings are different as well, they may look alike, but they function differently.

There’s only three exorcists who have different necklaces from the others - Vaggie, Lute and the killed one, so I decided to go with this number three.

I chose these three different orders of birds of prey:

1. Falconiformes - different species of falcons - really fast, agile, perfect eyesight.

2. Accipitriformes - hawks and eagles - strong, fast, vicious, perfect eyesight.

3. Strigiformes - owls - not as fast as other birds, but they can fly completely silent, perfect assassins, agile, perfect eyesight and perfect hearing as well.

No Cariamiformes, because they can’t fly, sorry birdies 😔

Vaggie is the only specie of Tytonidae, just to prove how different she is.

Other exorcists belonging to owls is species from Strigidae family.

- I have a headcanon, that Heaven is very technically advanced (we saw a glimpses of Heaven architecture and they had this cool looking microchips on the floor, LED masks, cool stuff). Whatever Vox is doing, Heaven is steps ahead. So I wanted to recreate this headcanon in exorcists redesign (don’t get me wrong, I like the original design, I do get that they supposed to look like demons with their horns, all grey and black, and like crusaders with this chain mail, yeah yeah yeah, but I like birds more).

- So, the exorcists army divided into three squads - hawks and eagles under Lute’s command, owls under Vaggie’s command and falcons under Dead exorcist command. And Adam is Harpy Eagle - the largest eagle and one of the kind.

- Exorcist are used for service in Heaven - babysitting, escorts to the other Spheres, guards, it’s not like Heaven needs guards, but my imagination ends here lol. It’s just, not like they need to train all 365 days a year.

- Winners know about exorcists, but not about the extermination. They know Hell and its threat, so Heaven never hides the information about its army.

- Exorcists can be killed and they know that. But they still act like they’re invincible, because in some way, they really are.

- An exorcist can be killed in two ways:

1. By other angels with angelic steel.

2. By sinners and hellborns with angelic steel.

3. But the difficulty - to kill an angel you need to rip off their halo. If the sinner or a hellborn touches a halo, they will just burn alive, killed by holy flames. (They tried to kill exorcists, didn’t work). Exorcists always fly. They never step on Hells ground. Always in the sky, deadly and unpredictable.

- They’re not stupid. They don’t leave their weapon in dead bodies. They don’t need sinners to have angelic steel. But still, steel can be gathered from arrows and bullets mostly - it’s a hard and dirty work to dig through all the bodies just to find a few bullets. This is exactly why Carmine’s angelic weapon is insanely expensive and difficult to get.

My bestie and I were hanging out today and I brought up the idea of fankids specifically for the Nightmare Mode characters and. We have some fun ones and I wanted to share. I would also like to note the only ship listed here I don't actually support is the first one

Abducius + Zoth + Yog: E. Bola, the Bloodletter (14/15, they/he) A very tall plague doctor looking guy who's "beak" does in fact open like a beak, and is full of razor blades. Their nails are also as sharp as razor blades, and they have like. A whole bunch of arms hidden under their cloak. They can drop and move like a centipede if they wish. They are very loud and annoying, finding everything to be a joke. They literally live in the walls. They mostly avoid their fathers as Yog doesn't seem to actually care about them, Zoth is rarely home, and Abducius is a little to eager to punish him. Very jumpy. Literally the worst instigator ever. Is very protective of the other kids (including Quachil).

Bryn Mawr* + Teutates: M11257403LY a.k.a. Molly (13, they/it) the Weapon. Molly outwardly looks like a bomb. They are made of grey steel and have no facial features except glass eyes that look welded on, and behind them the colour of their eyes shift in a warm colour spectrum. They wear a black military uniform with no medals, dog tags with the nuclear waste symbol painted on them in yellow, and a red beret. Molly is capable of flipping inside out, exposing all around it to radiation and risking an explosion, but that only happens under dire circumstances as it can only explode once. It rarely shows emotion other than extreme anger. It has a very strong bond to its parents and often goes out to help them. It has a robotic voice with no emotion behind it, and speaks like a soldier. It is also very susceptible to manipulation. This becomes important because Yan Luo Wang Diyu realizes they are a weapon and wishes to train it. It scares the other kids, but it isn't bad.

Shub + Ishtar + Lilith: Buggaboo (5, she/her) the Crop Carver. Buggy looks like a giant bug, specifically a cicada. She has big eyes, wings that are almost too big and antennae, as well as demon horns that stick straight up and red runes all over her body. She wears a little yellow and white sundress. Buggy is five. She is happy to do literally everything. She loves to "draw pictures" on farmer's fields and play hide and seek, even if she's bad at it because she gets very loud when she's happy. She's never seen without one of her mamas with her, they take very good care of her. Sweetums. She also is usually seen with E. Bola as he has claimed her as sibling no. 2.

Xezbet + Drugia: Amygdala, or Amy (17, she/her) the Trapper. Amy is a ghost with shackles around her neck and wrists, who is surrounded by floating hands. She wears a long, tattered white dress and glows blue. Instead of a face she has a black void, and she has flowing white hair. She helps her mother and father by creating labyrinths in people's dreams (with her mother's help) to trap them so her father can take their souls. She herself takes pride in her work, and she loves designing her traps to suit whichever poor soul she's tormenting. She's cordial to her neighbors and isn't all the agressive towards them.

Dagda + Izanami: Gl'bgolyb or Gloppy. (18/19, he/him) the Impersonator. Gloppy appears to be a wooden puppet body at first, being held up by something behind it. Its face is worn and scratched, almost unrecognizable as a face. The rest of its body is equally weathered and worn, splintering in off places and moving jerkily. Gloppy himself is actually a flesh creature behind the puppet, a mass of skin and eyes and mouths and ears and anything you can think of. Gloppy is a very jealous person, wanting to be seen as the most disturbing thing here but losing to Molly. Despite this he is the next reasonable of the kids next to Amy. He mostly just acts as a lure.

Chaugnar + Nyogtha: Mal (28, she/her) the Slaughterer. Mal wears a lamb mask with blacked out eyes and a simple red robe. Her hair can be seen, it's sort of fluffed out behind her head. She often visits her parents and helps out with rituals as she carries out sacrifices (she also works with Zoth). She usually babysits the younger kids, or teaches them how rituals work and how they are meant to be done. She's actually a very pleasant person!

Also important to note. Mal and Buggaboo have real world counterparts (Malinda Schmidt, and Sheila Bubbles (Margarette adopted her from one of her friends who couldn't take care of her), but no one else does. Amy and Gloppy may be based off of Roman and Lois' and Alf and Rafttellyn's kids but. Yeah. E. Bola and Molly both have absolutely no basis in reality and only exist in the nightmare.

*Here Bryn Mawr is Francis 2's nightmare form. Bryn Mawr is a spirit from Welsh folklore who goes from house to house during Yule, asking to be let in. If you let her in she'll eat for food and join your celebration, and if you refuse to let her in she curses you. So I feel it fits. Bryn has a pleasant looking face, quite cute actually, but wears a muzzle. He also wears torn clothes that show mouths all over his body, and he has claws and a cat tail. He is usually used as a hunting dog for whoever needs one.

If you don't like Lumity, how do you feel about Catradora and Rednid? 030

Well...

I don't truly ship any of these...

But I prefer Lumity over Catradora and I might prefer Rednid over Lumity...

Why?

Well for Catradora, Catra tried to destroy the world and she tried blaming Adora for it happening (thankfully, Adora calls her out).

As for Rednid, I prefer it over Lumity because they handled Red Action's story arc a bit better than Amity's, in my opinion.

You see, Red and Amity were both jerks at first.

Red:

After her own team viewed her as an enemy over a mistake and getting a terrible haircut, Red and her new friends go out of their way to be jerks to people.

Red and her jerky friends play a mean prank on KO (who only wants to help them) and then Red posts it online.

Despite this, KO forgives them and still helps them... KO's compassion and courage weirds out Red, but she does become a better person because of it, that she (and the rest of the plaza) later helps KO fight a giant robot.

Red treats KO decently from then on.

Red then begins her arc with Enid.

And her arc ends with Rad, who holds a grudge against Red for how she treated KO at first, including the online post, which everyone acts like it never happened.

When Enid and KO learn the truth, even Enid knows that what Red did was messed up (while KO looks back at the memory fondly for some reason) and Enid praises Rad for thinking about KO.

Then Red goes back in time to her past self, to prevent KO's prank video from ever being posted and she talks about how deeply she regrets it, thus Red and Rad get along now.

Amity:

*She was best friends with Willow, until her parents told her stop and be friends with stronger, richer and jerkier witches.

She allows her new jerky friends to pick on Willow and Amity sometimes would make fun of Willow as well, when Willow's abominations aren't working (her parents didn't tell her to do this).

And this happened for years, until Luz arrived to pretend to be Willow's abomination.

*Amity is angry that she's no longer the best student and yells at Willow, then Amity tries to get Luz dissected with the principal's help (it probably was a fake dissection, but it was never clear)... Amity tries to attack Willow and Luz with her abominations, while Willow uses her plant magic to fight back...

Later Luz meets Amity again and brings up how Amity tried to dissect her, which Amity ignores and insults Luz because of her lack of magic... Then when King trips and loses one of his cupcakes, Amity steps on it on purpose, causing Luz to challenge Amity to a witch's duel...

They also have a bet where if Luz wins Amity has to apologize to King for stepping on his cupcake and say that humans can be witches, if Amity wins Luz has to say that humans can't be witches and give up on training with magic forever and then Amity casts a handshake hex for extra measure... If you ask me, it's kinda unfair that Luz lose would lose a lot more if Amity wins; Luz should've said that if she wins, Amity can't be mean to Willow and King ever again...

During the duel, Amity smiles while she attacks Luz...

Then when after the duel and both girls learn that their teachers (Eda and Lilith) were cheating during the battle, Amity was upset that her teacher made her a cheater and runs away... Luz finds her and Amity takes her anger out on Luz... Amity talks about how hard she worked to be the best student and become part of the emperor's coven, then gets angry at Luz for not taking being a witch seriously and tells Luz to confess not being a true witch...

Luz reveals that she is working hard to be a true witch and shows off her light powers to Amity... Luz earns Amity's respect and Amity breaks their deal... Amity walks away and Luz returns to her friends...

Amity never apologizes to Luz or King for her actions...

*Later, Luz learns that Amity and Willow used to be friends, but Amity ditched Willow when Willow didn't have strong magic yet...

Despite learning this, Luz reads a book about a hero befriending an enemy and wants to do that with Amity...

Amity works at the library and tells Luz to leave her alone when Luz tries befriending her... Then Luz befriends Amity's older twin siblings instead and they play pranks on the library... Luz and the twins sneak back at night to play more pranks, then the trio find Amity's diary to show the embarrassing pages to the school tomorrow... But Luz is against the idea and tries to put the diary back... Luz learns that she and Amity both love the same fantasy book series...

Amity walks in outraged at the trio, calling the twins the worst, while calling Luz a bully...

Seriously?

She has the nerve to call Luz a bully?

Why does Luz want to befriend this girl again?

Luz runs after Amity to make amends, then the girls both defeat a corrupted book character...

Amity takes back calling Luz a bully and admits that she hasn't been the nicest witch either and she will try to work on it...

A proper apology to Luz for all her cruelty in the previous episodes would've been nice, but it's better then nothing I guess...

*Amity does slowly become nicer to Luz after the library episode...

But during the Amity episodes, both Luz and the cartoon seem to temporarily forget that Amity was still Willow's bully and ex-friend, which leaves a bitter taste in my mouth personally...

Until the episode where Amity accidentally burns all of Willow's memories and both she as well as Luz have to enter Willow's mind to restore them...

Luz doesn't even stay mad Amity for long, despite burning Willow's memories aka the person that is supposed to be Luz's first friend AND best friend....

Amity even has the nerve to later be angry at Luz for trying to convince Amity to talk about her past with Willow...

Then the Angry Inner Willow appears and tries to burn Amity, but Amity reveals the truth about her parents forcing her to stop being friends with Willow...

Keep in mind, Luz was befriending Amity BEFORE she learned about this truth, so Luz was baiscally trying to befriend Willow's bully because she read a character from her book befriending enemies...

Which makes Luz not a great friend to Willow...

Amity apologizes to Inner Willow, saying that she was too weak to be her friend and promises to protect Willow from Boshcha from now on...

It's ironic that Willow gets an apology for the bullying, yet Luz never does despite being Amity's love interest...

*Amity does protect Willow and later Luz from Boshcha for an episode...

However, they don't hang out again, unless Luz is involved...

Amity slowly becomes so obsessed with Luz, that it sometimes feels like she doesn't care about anything and anyone else unless it's Luz-related... By the time of Season 2, when Amity gets her hair dyed purple (like Luz's shirt), Amity became Luz's blushy number 1 fangirl... Amity lost most of her personality and doesn't even have her own dreams or goals anymore...

At least Red Action and Catra still have personalities...

At least Enid and Adora usually keep their backbones, when their love interests are being jerks...

The same can be said about Princess Bubblegum, when Marceline gave her a hard time...

Luz seems to lose her backbone, whenever Amity is angry at her...

No wonder Luz trusted Hunter instead of Amity with her Belos Secret...

But at least Lumity didn't go through any cheating and love triangle nonsense, like Korrasami did, I will give them credit there...

Anyway, my point is they could've handled Amity's character and the Lumity Story a lot differently...

Because whether you like Lumity or not, you gotta admit that Willow deserved better then constantly getting ignored like that...

Vaughn shivered just after being digistructed, never having gotten over the feeling a New-U station gives you.

Hyperion thanks you for choosing New-U!

The former accountant sneered before adjusting his pack, taking in the ship he had traveled to. Sanctuary was truly a marvel, the bandit having only caught a glimpse of the massive vessel's escape from Tyreen and her army. It's not too surprising to find it's a three-leveled ship, Vaughn staking out a claim in the form of a nook along an empty back stairwell before going to find his way to the bridge. He could see various Raiders going through incoming reports and sending out movements in return, Claptrap puttering around while humming as the robot checked their heading. His interest was in Lilith, however, the former siren talking with someone who Vaughn knew more than any other in this cursed universe, their voice haggard and borderline hysteric.

"I don't know how much longer I can keep Katagawa back, the COV just seems to keep coming."

"You've got to hang in there, the vault hunters are doing their best to help you." Lilith sounded as much as the leader Vaughn had heard over the years, clearly holding back her own concern. From what Vaughn had heard before stomping off to hitch a ride onto Sanctuary, Maliwan had been doing a merger war against Atlas for some time, and had nearly lost when the COV seemed to suddenly join their ranks. The swell of neverending bandits rolled over Atlas forces like a tidal wave, and their CEO was doing everything in his power to keep a hold on Promethea, lest the vault hidden on the planet was lost to the twin gods.

He hadn't expected to learn the CEO was none other than Rhys Strongfork, someone he thought was long dead.

Now, here he was, watching as the leader of the Crimson Raiders hung up after a few more comforting words and turned to find Vaughn right behind her.

"Figured you'd come up here."

"Heard you're going back." Lilith's nod is all he needs, and Vaughn stalks away to his alcove without a word to settle in for the long journey. Bloodstained khakis and the rest of his clothes get a wash in one of the bathrooms dotted around the ship, the bandit almost awed at seeing so much free-flowing water after a long seven years stranded on Pandora. Besides spending time cleaning his guns or crawling around the ship in boredom, Vaughn finds himself watching the swirling colors of hyperspace underneath the bridge. It reminds him of the stars he and Rhys could see out of their shared room on the Hyperion station, the closest he's been to the stars after they had caused it to come crashing down upon Pandora.

No, Jack had caused that.

Prometha is a beautiful blend of purples and reds when they finally come into orbit, Sanctuary taking cover from the ominous Maliwan fleet that hangs above the planet behind a large asteroid. Vaughn travels down to the planet's surface a few hours after the vault hunters had left, reconstructing in the middle of some sort of command center with Atlas soldiers scurrying around. A shirtless bandit covered in dried blood and a few guns catches eyes almost immediately, and a woman with blue hair and wild eyes has a gun trained on Vaughn before he can fully pull out his own.

"Who are you, and what the bloody 'ell are you doing 'ere?" The words are full of venom as they have a stare-off with Vaughn, who holds her gaze with a slight scowl.

"I came from Sanctuary, so not just a random dude. I'm here to talk to Rhys, and maybe help out with this war you bros seem to be stuck in." The other stared at him for a few more seconds before slowly lowering her gun, whistling for the others to lower their own guns.

"We can always use another fighter." Vaughn shrugs as he removes his hand from his own gun, adjusting his khakis before strolling forward with his most disarming grin.

"Tell me what to kill!"

The blue-haired commander is named Loreli, and they are a right riot to hang around with by the end of Vaughn's first day on Promethea. The former bandit chief didn't need much prodding where he was needed most, singlehandedly taking out a Maliwan squad that had tried to kill some civilians without drawing a single gun as he snapped necks with a whoop. Despite his slightly goofy exterior, Vaughn was wicked smart at who and how he attacked Maliwan invaders, especially when they started to panic at the loss of Katagawa a few weeks after he had arrived. Loreli never expected that a bandit could be so put together, but figured Rhys might know, given the way he'd spoken Rhys' name after late-night meals or patrols together. Despite the COV and plenty of Maliwan still on Promethea after Katagawa had died, the pressure was let off enough that the commander felt it was finally safe enough to escort Vaughn to Atlas HQ themselves. The shorter man took in the massive building with wide eyes as he trailed behind Loreli, clearly impressed to see Atlas back up and running after such a short time.

"Here we are, Rhys'll be up there." Loreli stopped outside a massive elevator, motioning for the bandit to get on. "Figure you'll need some privacy."

"Thanks, bro." With a click of a button, Vaughn was soon ascending the massive tower, the doors opening at the top to reveal a short hallway. When Vaughn headed inside, a massive aquarium was revealed, leading up and into the ceiling. He nearly let out a laugh when he remembered late college nights dreaming about such a thing, watching some fish swim by without a care in the world as he waited for the other man in the room to make the first move.

"Do you like it?" The bandit hadn't heard the CEO approach him from behind, but he wasn't worried in the slightest, a strange feeling after all of these years.

"It's nice." His voice was calm and steady, and his eyes tracked a fish until it left his view. His glasses had broken a long time ago, and Vaughn idly wondered if anyone would service bandits on Promethea. "Whole planet is, you did good here."

"I..." Rhys doesn't say anything, and they both watch the aquatic life until Vaughn finally turns and faces Rhys head-on.

"You grew a mustache?" It's not what he wanted to start with, but the carefully groomed facial hair was surprising, and Rhys blushed faintly under the scrutiny while ducking his head slightly.

"It's my siege-stache, though I've grown to like it." Whatever picture Vaughn had painted about Rhys being a supposed big and bad CEO crumbled into dust at the familiar gesture. "I like your beard, it's very rugged and murdery!"

"Thanks." An awkward silence descends on the duo as they both struggle to say what to say, and Rhys takes the first step.

"I only found out you were still alive just over a year ago, a-and I was going to come find you! But then, then Maliwan attacked..." The corporate war had taken too many lives, and the guilt was still very fresh at not being able to end things before the CoV had arrived. "I had to stay with my people, try and keep them safe."

"I get that." Vaughn could respect keeping one's people safe, knowing far too well that many Atlas graves were buried beyond the warzone once called a city that had been dug by his own hand. Even fainter memories of trying to help Helios survivors flicker in the background, but he tucks them away before they overwhelm the present. More silence settled between them, but this time, it was not as oppressive, both men struggling at what to say next, where to go from here.

So Vaughn decides to step forward, grabbing the loose silk tie around Rhys' neck to drag the CEO into a kiss, unsurprised to find himself pushed back against the cool glass behind him. Coffee and those strawberry candies Rhys had been mocked for flooded his mouth as they kissed each other almost desperately, weak at the knees for the first time since Helios had crashed for this stupid man he'd never forgotten. Said man had the goofiest grin on his face when they parted, tangling one hand in Vaughns hair.

"You're staying here, right?"

"Wherever you want me." The reply is breathless as Rhys' grin lit up the room, and Vaughn wanted to see that every day for the rest of his life. "As long as you stay with me."

"Always."

A bandit and a CEO kiss once again in an impossibly large office, the last seven years becoming an echo with each kiss.

ASHIOK. a powerful planeswalker of mysterious origin. their face seems to be slowly disappearing into a thick black mist that follows them. manipulates the nightmares of powerful individuals they find during their travels. not necessarily a villain, but certainly no hero.

BABYDOLL. institutionalized against her will. sweet girl but will not hesitate to end you if you're a creep. sincerely wishes to empower the other women around her. slowly losing herself to fantasy in order to escape from her unpleasant reality.

CAMERON "CAMMIE" MACCLOUD. a self-proclaimed "hacktivist" recruited into the military. now part of the experimental science unit, piloting a four story mech called a holon through gen:lock, which uploads her own mind into the robot. scottish, sassy, and a giant nerd.

CATIANA FREESPARK. swashbuckler rogue turned storm cleric. she's confused about how that happened too. died fairly recently, but she got better. will steal your shit. highkey feels like the divorce baby between procan and umberlee. 

CHROME DOKURO. a powerful illusionist currently in the employ of the vongola mafia family. occasionally shares her body with the criminal mukuro rokudo. learning to stand on her own two feet. a bit of a strange girl, but sweet and undyingly loyal.

EDALYN "EDA" CLAWTHORNE. the owl lady and most powerful witch on the boiling isles... or she was, before her curse took away her powers. occasionally turns into a large owl-like beast. keeps accidentally adopting kids but hey, guess she's a mom now. acts tough but actually a big softie.

FISH EYE. a fish given human form. yes, really. in search of a beautiful dream. performs as part of a circus troupe known as the amazon trio. really just wants to have a beautiful dream of his own and to live life as a human for as long as possible.

IMELDA RIVERA. matriarch of the rivera family. turned to shoemaking to make money for herself and her daughter after her husband disappeared. continues to look after her family from the land of the remembered.

KAGAMI TSURUGI. a recent transplant to paris from japan. loves fencing and being right. she can be a bit cold upon first meeting but she's actually just very bad at making friends. if you take the time to get to know her, she is fiercely loyal and dedicated and will fight for you.

LA MUERTE. the sugary sweet ruler of the land of the remembered. has a nasty gambling habit which tends to get her and her husband into trouble. she is benevolent, but will not hesitate to tell you what she really thinks. friendly, but still a goddess. handle with caution.

LIAN NICHANG. the white haired demoness. lives alone on a mountain. really only comes down to get rid of people who are harassing the village at the base of the mountain that leaves her the fuck alone. master swordsman. not actually a witch or a demon, no matter what people call her. 

LILITH CLAWTHORNE. once the head witch of the emperor's coven, now at half-power and trying to sort her life out. cursed her sister out of spite and paid the price. might come across as a haughty bitch, but she's really just a massive nerd doing her best.

LUNA. magical moon cat. has a crescent moon bald spot on her forehead. trying to keep the protectors of the universe on track but they're just teenage girls so it goes about as well as you would expect. really tired of being the voice of reason but this is what she signed up for. 

LUNASOL GALANODEL. honestly, the worst. burned down her abusive childhood home with her twin brother. basically sold her soul to the queen of air and darkness. pretends to be sweet but she is cruel and cold. typical elvish attitude toward other races, too. really, really likes flowers.

MAXIMILIAN CALYPSE. a small, stuttering lady of noble birth. married off to keep her father from having to go to war against dragons. considers herself to be useless and has a good deal of anxiety, but is generally one of the sweetest nobles you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. currently learning to use healing magic.

MICHIRU KAIOU. the soldier of deep waters, sailor neptune. a high school student with a mysterious destiny. spends her free time as a professional violinist. desperately wishes to embrace the ordinary life of a girl her age.

MIYU. vampire who tried to run from her destiny and made it worse. has to hunt down god-demons called shinma that she accidentally let escape. literally cannot die until she finishes her job, and she would very much like it to be over now. usually accompanied by her mask wearing servant, larva. she's cute and cruel in equal parts.

NATHALIE SANCOEUR. for fuck's sake she needs a vacation. and a raise. personal assistant to a supervillain. seriously questioning that relationship at this point. literally dying. trying to beat the current record holder for most akumatizations. she's pretty and could kick my ass. 

PERSEPHONE. our lady of the underground. literal goddess. known for bringing springtime and overseeing torture in the deepest depths of tartarus. the mom friend, she probably already loves you. does not put up with her husband’s bullshit. really loves her weird dog.

PIKE TRICKFOOT. gnome cleric of the everlight. she may be a holy woman but she has the spirit of a barbarian. will definitely try to drink you under the table. overestimates her own strength, but loves to surprise others when they doubt her. precious angel baby.

REINA "GLITCH" CROWNE. student at a prestigious art school with a focus on fashion design. acts like she's tough and untouchable, but she's actually just soft and trying to figure out who she is. loves meshing traditional fashion with digital media. known to the other students as "glitch" due to her first year freeze up.

RIZA HAWKEYE. military sharpshooter and right-hand-woman of the guy who wants to take over the military. likes like two people and her dog. usually smells like gun oil but it's not unpleasant. has no sense of self-preservation and will definitely die for the people she cares about. does not get paid enough. 

ROGUE. the poster child for "look don't touch." mutant and working on the proud part. literally too powerful for her own good. comes with the added bonus of her cajun husband who makes things explode by touching them. the og power couple. 

SIF. the unwaveringly loyal wife of thor, mother to magni, móði, and thrúd. trying desperately to hold what remains of her family together. can come across as somewhat cold. while not a warrior by any means, she will do anything to protect her children.

TABITHA DELAINE. monster hunter and general know-it-all. was part of a cult at one point but she doesn't want to talk about it. lowkey a witch but tries to use her magic sparingly. the biggest lesbian you will ever meet, next to her girlfriend van. lives in van's van. 

TIKKI. kwami of the miraculous of creation. has existed for as long as the universe has. sincerely loves humans and how wonderful they can be. helps to turn her current owner into the superhero known as ladybug.

VEX'AHLIA. ranger and rogue. sneaky and shooty. just trying not to die again, thank you very much. once stabbed a tree because it made moves on her. the champion of a god. will probably call you darling and wink at you. also, she has a bear named trinket and a husband with too many names for me to bother listing here.

I cried after the first season of The Owl House because I was just so happy for the queer kids growing up with these kinds of characters and showing all these kinds of love that help heal the world’s hurt. I cried because I didn’t have this growing up, but I felt like that little closeted gay kid again except it didn’t feel scary but normal and wholesome and safe.

Anyway this is what my brain has been dissociating to lately—Private/High School and College No-Magic AU:

* Because this is a kinda-real-world/no-magic au and I can imagine the Blight family in Connecticut (y’all the CHRISTMAS CARDS), all the Blights are blonde except Alador and Amity, but Amity dyes her hair blonde to look like the twins and her mother.

* Blight twins got into Yale early admission because they’re Blights and are assumed to take on Blight Industries once they complete schooling. Of course they’re both class president and vice president at Jonesborough Academy (Ed: “I’m here in case you die.” / Em: “You just don’t want to do as much work.”) and are captains of the school lacrosse, swim, and tennis teams. Ed enjoys claiming his senioritis is him “giving Em” the valedictorian spot. He’s still set to be the Salutatorian regardless of how much he actually slacks off. Em punches Ed whenever he says this though because she has a 4.2 because she filled any potential study halls with online coursework and took so many weight courses, she literally surpasses a 4.0.

* Amity doesn’t want to go to Yale but her parents went (as did her grandparents on her mother’s side—her Dad’s parents went to Columbia) and legacies are legacies.

* Odalia has a deep love for winning absolutely anything over an MIT or Harvard alum. Not to mention Odalia and Alador have donated hundreds of thousands (soon to surpass a million) to Yale’s mechanical engineering program, putting New Haven on the map for mechanical engineering and boosting their rankings—there’s a notable wing of the department named after them.

* Amity is on track for a mechanical engineering future like the rest of her family (Ed is more interested in the marketing of Blight Industries—like Odalia—so he’s likely minoring in business management/marketing or will pursue a masters), but she’s leaning toward biomechanical engineering and robotics—she wants to build things to help kids in pediatric care.

* Blight Industries however is focused on automotive and aerospace technologies and recently signed a contract with Tesla for a relatively small and very confidential project that, despite its supposed size, will bring the Blights up a tax bracket.

* Luz is a sophomore like the rest of the group and new to Jonesborough Academy. She maintains a good GPA but struggles with staying on task and tends to day dream but works really hard to keep good grades. Luz wants to study creative writing and literature and visual arts and… have fun? She just wants a good enough scholarship she can have fun for four years and hopefully find something she loves along the way.

* Willow obviously wants to study botany (archaeobotany). “Yale is my reach, but so are all the Ivy League schools.” Luz makes botany puns with Ivy League as often as possible.

* Gus loves theater and art, especially stage/set design—he also skipped a grade and was accepted into the Jonesborough Academy Arts program. His parents have already taken him for a campus tour of Carnegie Mellon. He’s also president of the D&D club.

* Eda is Luz’s Gen X auntie figure of course, and she owns the thrift shop in town. She also bartends on the side and takes the train from CT to New York regularly, where she used to live for 15 years. Lilith is of course head of the local historical society and is the history teacher at Jonesborough.

* Luz meets Eda because Eda’s vintage shop also has a weird used book selection and a section of witchy stuff she likes exploring. Also there’s a little cafe next door they both enjoy and they split the massive but delicious chocolate chunk cookie from there when Eda stays in CT on the weekend.

* Willow regularly volunteers after school to take care of the greenhouse and is part of the agricultural program at the school, and for “volunteer hours,” Luz, Boscha, Amity, and of course Gus (established friendship between Gus and Willow) show up. Boscha complains about the dirt and worms and when Willow tries to help, Boscha pretends to accidentally knock over a plant, breaking the pot. Luz stands up for Willow of course and Amity feels obligated to side with Boscha.

* Amity is Amity still so she’s furious with Luz for showing up and being all smart and charming and kind and—well, she can’t possibly risk her rightful place as Valedictorian.

* Amity briefly played rugby freshman year and made varsity, but she broke her clavicle halfway through the season and her mother made her quit the team. Odalia isn’t fond of the sport to begin with so she told Amity to find another extra curricular—Amity makes the soccer team sophomore year!

* There’s a classroom debate regarding some literary analysis and Amity is a cynic and takes a hyper-practical approach (she can’t show weakness) and Luz is the romantic and takes a more creative approach. Fists are slammed on desks. Very passionate exchange of words. Amity’s face gets red. Redder when Luz wins the debate.

* Gus, Willow, and Luz have a small slumber party and Willow explains how she used to be friends with Amity. Luz isn’t sure how to feel, but Willow just shrugs “Middle school was tough but at least I’m not afraid of my dads… Amity’s parents are… demanding.”

* Amity breaks her other clavicle in the first soccer game she plays of the season.

* Amity ends up being in a sling for 6 weeks and can’t play. Her mother makes her quit again and instead signs Amity up for debate team. Amity joins but also joins the robotics club. Her parents don’t really notice since they work so much and filled her schedule so much they assume she’s at one of several extra curriculars or getting in volunteer hours.

* Luz goes to the library after school one day and realizes Amity reads to kids there, and Luz can’t handle how cute Ami—THE KIDS are…

* Luz and Amity get paired together for a project—they meet at the library and Amity tries to say Luz doesn’t have to do anything and she’ll do the project herself, but Luz puts her foot down—“I know you don’t trust people to get things or do things as well as you, but don’t you ever get tired? Don’t you ever just… need some help? You can trust me. I wouldn’t let you down when I know how important this is to you—us, I mean.”

* Luz helps Amity carry her books while she’s got her arm in a sling between some classes, and at one point Gus and Willow join. Willow looks at the two of them talking and laughing even and then looks at Gus who can barely hide his reaction to the same realization.

* Amity has Luz over while her parents are away at a conference to work on their project. She has a tree fort (like the hideaway at the library in the series) that she can get to from the window of her bedroom—Alador made it when she was little. There Luz finds Amity’s Azura books and loses. her. shit. Amity tries to say, “I just liked them as a kid” and Ed & Em just APPEAR at the window to throw her under the bus, “So why do you read all of WarriorofReesesPieces fan fiction still???” And both Amity and Luz turn bright red. Amity mumbles something like “I thought I deleted my web history…” Amity has zero idea that Luz is her favorite fan fic writer.

* Boscha starts making fun of Willow in study hall and Amity shows up since her Anatomy and Physiology class got canceled and makes Boscha stop, deciding to sit with Luz, Gus, and Willow.

* Luz and Amity get an A on their project. There’s definitely the “WOOOO! TEAMWORK, BABY!” hug involved here.

Evangelion franchise: it's implied the moon is mixed (via gravity and debris) with the Black Moon during the First Impact. From there it depends on the timeline (aka movie) you watch because sometimes a base is placed on it to house Lilith, sometimes an escavation happens to find Lilith- regardless it eventually {because of the near Third Impact} grow in size even further. Not only does it become closer in size to Earth but it becomes black with red grid lines and Lilith leaves a massive blood stain. It also has a cloud filled atmosphere and it spins on its axis in seconds so that's why humans on Earth (that aren't trained to be in robots, build robots, or withstand space/high atmosphere fighting with angels) who aren't dead from high tide flooding are super inland, living in special walled off areas with limited supplies with clean water being a big issue. Everyone who isn't fighting is learning to adjust to living off the land, using slightly outdated technology, and participating in farming if they're not trained in medicine. Also it's implied the flow of time on Earth moves faster by how seasons pass {on top of the multi-verse/time loop implications the movies add} but most people miss these details because Shinji's pov as a super horrendously unreliable narrator and the movies do not solely focuse as much on the scarse remains of humanity outside of Shinji's friends.

Genshin Impact: The moon has no phases and technically everything isn't real because all of Teyvat is a dream made of the memories of those trapped in it and their reincarnations in a never ending loop. But also its fallen kingdom was the Lunar Palace. The fall is mentioned in a fairytale book that, due to story beats in Sumeru, heavily implies that the moon itself houses or is the corpse/corpses of the 3 sisters who used to rule it. They die due to one of their citizens falling in love with a non-moon kingdom outlander and an ancient calamity (heavily implied to be Celestia) punishing them for it; the 3 sisters die at each other's hands and the 2 lovers were caught + punished with memory erasure & eternal separation. Outside of the book however we don't know the specifics yet as to why an outlander & Lunar Palace citizen would lead to a whole extinction of a nation because of the vague and metaphorial way it's written in. Also the citizens of said kingdom are implied to have mourned their leaders to the point of losing their corporeal forms and becoming the seelies all across the world to guide any who seek their help and even find treasure because they've forgotten all their memories outside of the things they left behind/specifically know to guide people. Oh and before I forget Teyvat's time moves at such a rapid pace that the traveler/mc internal clock doesn't match up- it's implied they can stay up for way long than everyone and everything else in Teyvat and it's partially why Madame Ping gives them the teapot. Anyways the moon is a corpse/cementary just floating ominously at full moon everyday for infinity, it doesn't have any say in tides nor seasons, sunset/sunrise is never delayed, and you can interpret it either as a literal ball of corpses or a floating but lifeless abandoned island.

A howl could be heard in the Icy distance and they followed it and could see they were in fact following a wolf! Vallery spoke up "I am sorry I am not trying to stalk you. I am looking for Dr. Vyatt J Von HornyBurg "Mad-Scientist" hired by Doll-Inc. You can see it trying to crawl out as it screams in agony as it could feel it's skin melt from the "pain chip" developed by the Doll- inc corporation and designed by M.D. Vyatt J. Von HornyBurg.

There was a lonely merchant who had lots of serums and weapons like our estrogen in Epipens and a Dildo gun which shot 30 rounds a minute! They even managed to sell a gold cross encrusted in diamonds she found on a dead cultist!

There was also a small silver ring with a large diamond in it which was traded for grenades! Dykanthrope ran off into the shadows of the night as Vallery chased after her! She couldn't help herself after everything they had seen.... She was one of the only others who knew "The Truth" about all the things Which Doll-Inc had been developing deep inside the complex far from where the government could keep their nosey little faces on them!

There were many hidden levels of the complex only accessable to those connected to Von HornyBurg and the Israeli/Albanian Diamond Trust who were the owners of Doll-Inc. and their diamonds funded the entire facility and the assassination of anyone who stood in their way. They used the Cultist as a way if training them. To attack people like Lilith who didn't agree with company policy.

So this has me thinking instead of sleeping.

Hunter as Alador and Willow as Darius? Maybe I'm looking to deep into this but this gives us a deeper look at Aladors and Darius relationship. So, does this mean that Alador and Darius were close and pretty much crushing on each other? Was Darius the one that flirted with Alador and Alador was a blushing mess nerd. I think it does! Other wise they wouldn't be paralleling. So Alador amd Darius were just a couple of teens that were into each other, yet Alador ended up with Odalia? Who isn't even in the picture?

So, another thing in this picture is that Darius has the cape on. Most likely the Golden Guards cape. So was Darius the late bloomer of the group? Since he is the Willow in his group. If so, that gives us more details about his past. Late bloomer of the school but has powerful potential in one type of magic. The Golden Gaurd must've taken notice of this and took Darius under his wing and trained him. Cute, sweet, a fatherly kind if relationship. Here's what I think happened! And again, I may be reaching, and projecting of course.

When The Golden Gaurd died, there's no way Darius wasn't devastated. Darius must've been traumatized and broken. I know I would. He must've lost all his confidence at the moment and was weak and vulnerable for a good amount of time. And this caused a crack in his relationship with Alador. Since Darius still seems close friends with Raine, and Eda and Lilith don't seem to have any beef with him, it's safe to say they remained friends with Darius and were there for him. Good! Raine and Darius are theater mates! Theater kids stick together no matter what. Alador must've tried being there for him, because we know Alador is a sweet heart. But then we have Odalia. The little son of witch. Maybe Odalia did like Alador, she was blushing in that picture during the brawl. So of course she must've taken this vulnerable stage of Darius amd Aladors relationship to her advantage. Wedged herself between them. Some how, she must've taken this as an opportunity to make Alador cut ties with Darius or at least break their relationship. I've seen many people like her before who always manage to convince a person that someone else is bad for them and break ties with them. Heck, I almost lost a friend like that before she finally broke up with that guy!

So in summery, Alador and Darius did like each other. Darius experienced something traumatizing making his relationship with Alador vulnerable. Odalia took advantage of it and convinced Alador to break ties with Darius. And of course Eda, Raine and Lilith must've been hurt somehow during the situation. Watching the friend grouo get slowly destroyed. If this is the case...........

Ok, so if this is the case, I'm half a Alador x Darius shipper. 😅 Let me explain! As someone who was in this exact position before, I wouldn't want to get with Alador anymore. The fault does go both ways but the history is just too broken and rough to get together in the futuer. Recreate a friendship is possible but a romantic one? Not really. So I ship young Darius and Alador, not adult them. I like to head canon that they were a couple or one of those, friends but their dating without knowing it.

It would also be cute if Darius saw Hunter and Willow together and saw himself and Alador in them. Reminded of his relationship with Alador. So Darius does what he can to help Hunter keep his relationship with Willow and avoid it from breaking like his relationship with Alador. Besides, I enjoy the thought of Alador reconnecting with his kids first. And then he can try to fix his friendship with the others. Because let's face it, Eda doesn't seem very fond of Alador as adults. But that could be because Alador let his wife torment Luz with an Abomination robot.
