hii im the guy that plays the robot

Jay is probably my favorite character from the campaign, cool that you did this deep dive on him :D

As a follow up im going to be deep diving on my character cuz i am quite autistic about him

IO is an android developed by the company Doston Bynamics (funny name i know) as the newest machine of the Infinibot line (IO stands for Infinibot model O)

However, the apocalypse has had... an interesting consequence on it's AI, specially considering it had to be quickly remade after the company lost a lot of money as their hivemind AI project ended up becoming a digital monster

You know how robots are made to help people? Well IO... also wants to help, but not just out of good will or out of a coded in nessessity, but because of a sense of superiority. It thinks of all living species, sapient or not, as just little things that are dumb and stupid, however they created it, and they created it to help them with their troubles. At first this seems "fine" but this egocentric view of helping ends up making him more annoying than anything. Plus, he's not even that good at it. He keeps getting distracted or gets angry over the dumbest things and he lacks a lot of common sense.

However thinking of himself as "better" isn't that far off... he is probably the strongest person on the team and the one that becomes better the fastest. He's a machine, he can turn mechanical parts he finds into weapons or other upgrades, and in the wasteland the story takes place in there's lots of that, so he upgrades pretty quickly. Every time he upgrades his ego also grows and grows, sometimes it seems like he thinks of himself as some sort of angel born to save society from the hell of the apocalypse and destroy all the evil people that threaten peace, tho his usually distracted and "cute" attitude often hides his true thoughts

His main enemy is said runaway AI mentioned before, project Odstron. Odstron thinks people are dumb and stupid and inferior and should be exterminated. If you couldn't tell, IO and Odstron have the same motivation but literally opposite goals. This makes them rlly interesting since it forms a cool duality between them where they are both objectively wrong but neither can really think about it.

In terms of interacting with the team it's interesting. He's able to worry about other people like when they are hurt or he notices they feel bad, but other than hugging he can't really do much. He doesn't understand intricate feelings. He also thinks he's "protecting" them and that they don't need to do anything while he fights off monsters, even if he's needed their help multiple times.

Summary: robot thinks he's a god and thus has to protect what's left of civilization but doesn't understand people don't need him to do everything and that he's not perfect

Also i kinda want to just ignore his flaws sometimes and hug him cuz he's kinda cute y'know

ok not something I ever told Tumblr about but I'm in an rp campaign and I wanted to share my character's concept with you all

So, us TMA fans (and all the other fandoms I post about I guess but MAINLY TMA) absolutely know about the uncanny evil... I mean that's literally what the Stranger is. But I have something else to offer: Jay. Yeah uh, that's the character's name.

Just imagine you're wandering in the wastelands and finally stumble upon a group. A robot, a cyborg, a vampire, a small alien... nothing too peticuliar considering this is a fantasy world. And then there's the surgeon. A limp figure with an ample trench coat, painfully fake hair, leathery skin and a single, staring glass eye, whereas the other eye socket is empty, closed by the sagging fake skin on the right side of its face. Its movements are stiff as it walks to come greet you and lends you its hand to be shaken. It attempts a smile, but all it manages to really make is a grimage, with bumps forming and disappearing from its face. You can't help but notice the low hum that comes out from it. And how perfect, how flawless its voice is when it does speak. A voice without any impurities. It doesn't move its lips to talk. Obviously, it has a voicebox somewhere. But what even decided what it was gonna say? It's simple. Thousands of bugs, crawling onto one another to move around and form what calls itself Jay. One big hivemind.

But Jay isn't some cold and calculating creature. Jay isn't even an it. He's a man. Or so he wishes to be. Back then, he was created with the end goal of making any kind of animal have the same thinking abilities as a man; they've chosen to use bugs for this. I'll spare you the whole process of his creation but after years of process, Jay was born. He was teached everything within the same lab he was born in, everyone's attention on him, always. He was better made back then. His movements were more natural, the faux-skin actually looked lively and his voice box was more nuanced. But that was years ago. And even then, people noticed and his cover quickly got busted, shortly after finally being allowed out with other people. Back then, he didn't mind that much, being hidden away again in the basement of the place. But during his entire existence he was being teached everything, and that was good, he was smart, and his first contact with the actual world was medical school once he was finally ready for it. And then the apocalypse happened. He couldn't renew his "shell" and with the years it just deteriorated, and he found himself in an ever worsening mental state. He was created to be a man, wasn't he? And it's all he ever wanted to be. No, not only. He was set to become a surgeon, to save people's lives. After a few years, he found the group, and they definitely did not help his case. Especially the robot, who doesn't seem to understand that its "main character" attitude is hurting everyone else in the group. But for him it's a little different... it sounds more human than him. It sounds more human than him. And he lives off of validation and praise and just being useful. He's useless in the group. Completely and utterly useless. He can't fight, nobody that he was trained to heal ever got injured seriously enough to need his help and, well, despite him being legitimately the smartest out of the group, nobody listened to him and his advices, even when he is the one that's right. And it dragged him down morally so much.

He wanted to be a man. He's meant to be a man, to be a person, to be a human being. To help others, heal them. But he's not that. He'll never, ever be that. No matter how he wants to be. And he has to bottle it all up. He wasn't made to feel like that. At some point, one of the members, which was the only one he was close to, hugged him for comfort, but as much as he wanted it to help, it didn't do anything. It might just have been a punch and he wouldn't have felt it any differently. And that thought made him want to cry. But he couldn't. He doesn't have eyes. His entire mind aches to scream out its emotions onto his body but his body is not fit for conveying those emotions. The body isn't even part of him. Like the human is just a mask. But what he feels is very much real. It's in his ever growing despair that he decides to leave the group and continue his journey alone. Away from everything, letting his own identity decay away with time until all that's left is a feral swarm of bugs that just roam around the wastelands without a goal. Physically, it's there, but he's gone.

Summary: Uncanny hivemind in a skin suit longs to be human and is put into an indescribable state of misery by his fading identity and his body feeling like something entirely different than what he is :-)

Oh also he's kind of a jerk.

Okay so for most of the show everybody liked this kid. He's sweet and adorable and does his best. Then season 3 comes along and KO decides to lock away TKO, his "evil" alter ego and the fandom's favorite. Sooo lots of people started hating KO, up until the finale- nobody ever really realized "hm. Hating a 6-11 year old for making a not-so-great decision probably isn't that great" the fandom instead just sorta vaporized since we haven't gotten any content since the finale. It still makes me mad. TKO was my favorite too but KO did not deserve all that hate he was doing his best to deal with the circumstances, and yes he hurt TKO but TKO has also hurt him as well- they're kids, man. Nobody ever hated TKO so I submitted KO, because the hate was astounding.

Monaca Towa:

her existence makes the game and its world more interesting, when you think about it she is the one who manufactured and designed the evil robots. Basically funding the destruction of the world for the only person she thought understood her. And she knows she was being manipulated and just is ok with that because everyone in her life is manipulative. Reading her diary one of her last pages is about how much she wants to die.And for a game about how adults should protect children, she is the only child to not get saved. I’m not saying she should’ve been redeemed she’s a manipulative liar, abuser, and murderer but her existence shows the corruption of this world.

I understand most people don’t like her. That’s understandable she’s completely and purposefully designed to be hate able but I love her. And the game is more interesting with her than without

Berdly

Berdly is 18 years old and is the king of technoworld,based entirely on twitter. He has his own arcade and has ADHD, he has a chair / robot that can transform into several things, he is kim's 2nd best friend in chapter 2, however she still finds him a little annoying.

He is totally intolerant of homophobia, fatphobia, racism etc, to a point that it gets annoying, any joke he tries his best to say a text about how this is wrong. He currently knows almost all the games ever made and the history of each one of them, he has a giant robot called Golden Berdly / unit 00

which is totally inspired by evangelion (even the giant robot fight is totally a reference to evangelion)

berdly has an extreme attraction to acidic things (banana <-> lime)

one last thing, in the part where berdly, jen and kaio get inside the car (where the beautiful joke "kris, get the banana!")

berdly's chair transforms into a fast and very beautiful and technological car.

he makes a lot of jokes involving twitter trends and he uses things that people have said in the past as an argument,soo basically

Ping Pong may very well be the Evangelion of the sports anime genre, though, and it’s full of such surprises. Don’t let the unusual art style or the niche sport discourage you: This story is one for the ages. Daring, enigmatic, deeply human, it introduces us to a plethora of fascinating characters and pushes them (and us) to the limit.

Ping Pong punches so hard because it overcharges every frame, arc, and concept with meaning. Symbols grow before our eyes. We see Chinese superstar Kong Wenge surrounded by flying planes. We see Kazama, the captain from Kaio Academy, climbing a mountain and becoming a giant, a beast, a dragon. We see a giant robot fighting a flying hero all around Smile. These symbols are striking, but their meaning is not clear—at least not until the Christmas episode.

I suggest that it is Dan/Dante/(whatever name he is using now) in the ice. Ellie/Dani also works. OR they both do it just minutes apart.

Some other features:

Yamcha protocol: reads the users vitals and automatically sends a distress signal if they are about to die.

Kaio-what?: Temporarily disables the safety limiters on the arm. Warning this is hazardous both to the arm’s mechanics and the user.

Trunk’s folly: a tally that goes up every time the user encounters a new robotic opponent. This serves no other purpose

This isn’t even my final form (passive): The self-repairing nano bots are also capable of preforming minor upgrades/alterations to the arm. Dev 1 (Tucker) just needs to send the arm the schematics.

Gohan protocol: Arm drags user away from deadly attack while admonishing them for not dodging. (Stole this from another reblog)

Cell recharge: Arm is capable of absorbing energy to recharge itself. (Not life energy though)

Scraped feature:

POPO protocol: Dev 2 (Danny) started this feature after 72 hours without sleep and then shortly passed out. Later neither Dev 1 or 2 could work out the function of this protocol so it was scrapped. Every single patch note from the arm’s updates end with the line ‘removed POPO protocol’. There is no clear indication as to whether or not this is a joke.

i have an idea for an ok ko animatic that i rly want to do but idk if itd be worth it because

a) all my animatics so far have been memes and the longest one ive done was 15 secs long. the idea i have would probably be at least a full minute and def more serious so itd take a while

b) i think the fandoms dying and i dont want to spends weeks on something two people will see

I keep thinking about the Voxman family watching Our Flag Means Death... - Ven's daughter would love Jim. Fink would 100% want to cosplay them. - John (his husband) probably started getting a little misty eyed at the party scene, because he's been in a very similar situations of trying to fit in but failing. - Ven, on the other hand, would relate heavily to how Ed fakes it till he makes it with the Blackbeard persona. His anxiety really does feel like the Kraken sometimes. - Raymond would totally make his next fashion line based on the outfits of the show, also making really good cosplays for the family. - Oh and I think it'd be funny if his son hasn't seen the show, but once saw a picture of "a cool dude with a seagull on his head", so Ven has John make a robotic seagull for Kaio to carry around.

I finally colored Quincy...and then should have some sketch pages.

I'm still working on the story on how he...happened, but it involved the destruction of a novelty soap dispenser shaped in the shape of cowgirl. It's often remembered with the Sandwich Incident trumpet.

He had more talent for building weaponry than robots or bio-engineering. As a teenager, he tried to make improvements to Baguette Launcher Darrell, but accidentally inspired forty Darrells to go out on the street and perform an impromptu "Cette Tragédie Musicale Française".

His main goal for carrying on the tradition of attacking the plaza is for his half brother "Kaio" to be his ultimate arch-nemesis, but that isn't going well for him. He's the uncle to all the new robots at Boxmore, but is the adoptive father of Sasha, an alien who literally fell from the sky - and through the roof.
