Aggie and Jac might be twin sisters, but lately they haven’t felt the same about anything. While Jac is excited about their move to Los Angeles and a chance to seem cool and mysterious, Aggie is worried her new locker won’t open, Jac could make new friends without her, and her friends from home will move on, leaving her all alone.

When the first day at school ends with an invite to join the neighborhood softball team, Aggie jumps at the chance to meet the other girls, even if she has to drag Jac along. Aggie is relieved to learn that each girl is dealing with their own problems and discovers that by being vulnerable, she's able to create strong friendships.

Jac’s interest in the softball team might have more to do with the captain’s older brother. But as Jac’s crush grows she worries that it’s just one more way she and Aggie have become different. And is it wrong if Jac wants to feel different from Aggie sometimes, even if there’s no one else she'd rather have for her twin sister?

Hiii @jokerislandgirl32 !! Thank you for the ask :D!! Although, brace yourself, I think I wrote an essay here lol :D

🌷I feel like the song that really goes with their relationship would be “Something that I Want” by Grave Porter :3

I think this song really fits since it fits their individual journeys and how they work together! :D Since, in their story, when she first joins the teens titans, which is the hero team the show Robin is in centers around, she’s trying to find her footing and maybe a bit naive but she has good intentions and learns to come into her own as time goes on with her on the team and they fall in love on the way 😊.

It really fits Robin too since through the show he’s trying to separate himself from Batman to be his own hero, and he leaves Gotham to grow somewhere else which is jump city where things eventually take place this goes with the lyrics “he’s a man of his own invention” and “he walked out the door” for him leaving Gotham :3.

As for how it works for them together, the chorus “something I want, something I tell myself I need”, is like how they are both trying to find themselves and do something that means something to them but they have to make sure not to fall into the trap of working themselves so much they pull away from their friends since something they both need is love from friends and eachother, as shown by the lyric, “Don’t you see that what you need is standing in front of you…?” but luckily they are both working on that.

For these lyrics, I represents how Robin tends to take being a hero as a core part of his identity, Skylark likes how much he cares about it but he can do it to a fault sometimes, especially when he isolate himself while investigating a case. But she adapts and makes sure he knows he isn’t alone, and even helps him open up to his team more. She also tends to have a pretty creative way of doing things in general which is where the “someone comes along and shows you a brand new way” comes in!

🌸A song off my playlist that I think reminds me of Robin is “One” from Sleeping at Last and “Elevate” by DJ Khalil since I feel like “One” shows how he wants to do good but is really hard on himself and how that causes him issues sometimes but that he’s learning to loosen up, and I feel like “Elevate” shows how he likes to push himself and takes pride in being a hero and I feel like its the sort of style of song he likes to listen to.

🍧Finally, for the song lyrics used in a fanfic title, definitely from the song “They stay down deep” by Giselle. “And in those ocean eyes of yours, sea monsters swim in cluttered drawers, I’m scared they’ll climb out when you weep, don’t fear my dear they stay down deep” or “I wish those ocean eyes of yours Would see I’m not afraid of flaws I wish those ocean eyes of yours would not hide behind closed doors”. Those hit particularly close to me when listening to the song since Robin has blue “ocean” eyes even though the mask covers them most of the time lol. I feel like these lyrics would highlight how he tends to hide his issues and problems and how Skylark wants him to give her the chance to comfort him and show that she’ll love him, flaws and all. Although, this can also work in reverse too when she feels insecure and trying to hide her issues and negative feelings from him while feeling doubtful or ashamed of herself. Luckily, he’s there for her too and will reassure her, and give her lots of tight hugs too which he knows she loves :D.

BBC Ghosts Bird AU

@m1nts and I cooked so have a bird AU

In this AU Alison is an ornithologist who moves with Mike into Button House and notices a really strange combination of birds that live by the lake so she decides to study them

Mike is your average person who just knows that birds are birds and that's about it and Alison has to constantly stop him from feeding them bread

The Captain is a pigeon (because messenger pigeons were used in the war), but since pigeons don't live that long he's a trained race pigeon that got left behind when the old owner moved (because this is his home dammit)

Also they look like they have mustaches

Havers is a Great Reed Warbler that migrates to Africa every winter

Pigeon Cap gets visibly depressed when his warbler bf is gone

Kitty is a Skylark who kinda just started following Cap around one day and does little head bops at the other birds to get them to dance with her

Robin is a tawny owl because moon and hunting, it's also very silly to see a big owl interact with all the little birds, especially Kitty

Mary and Annie are northern cardinal gfs (yes because the feathers look like fire)

Fanny is a duck and she has an absolute blast swimming around the pond and aggressively quacking at all the other birds for funsies

Pat's a dunnock cuz they're garden birds common to Yorkshire

Julian is a European Shag because YES that IS a real bird

Thomas is a nightingale whose mate got stolen by his cousin

After Allison and Mike move in, he warms up to her and sits on her shoulder singing all day, which confuses them both, especially when the tiny little nightingale tries to attack Mike, but hey, she's the bird whisperer now I guess

Humphrey is a chicken because they can survive with their head chopped off

The plague ghosts are a murder of crows that come by to visit (and steal the bird seed Allison puts out) every now and then

This looks fun!! Could I have 2 or 3 poses (if it isn’t too much trouble :D) for Robin (my f/o) and Skylark (my s/i)? Their dynamic is that they have a teen romance. He’s kind of awkward when it comes to affection and romance but he cares for her and likes to know he makes her feel safe. She’s a lot more affectionate but also a bit unsure of herself too but he reassures her. They both kind of grow in the relationship since she learns to become for confident in herself and her abilities and he learns to open up more and becomes more comfortable being affectionate overtime. They also spar, run, play videogames and do investigations or paperwork together sometimes and she can even rope him into an impromptu dance in the living room which isn’t his usual style but its more fun with her. She also sometimes sketches him with permission and he does some acrobatic moves for her and shows off his skills a bit lol. Sort of went on a bit of a ramble but really excited for this and thank you so much!!
