Lazarus Long by Robert Heinlein. I have read almost all the novels with this character. I really like R. Heinlein. But sometimes you want to read a series of novels about a character you like. Here is a selection of novels about Lazarus Long. I hope you appreciate it :) Here's a list of all Robert Heinlein's novels featuring Lazarus Long, also known as "The Lazarus Long series":
Methuselah's Children (1941) (serialized magazine version): This is the first appearance of Lazarus Long, although he is a minor character. The 1958 revised novel version expands on his role slightly. Time Enough for Love (1973): This is considered the main novel in the Lazarus Long series. It tells the story of Lazarus Long, a man who has achieved a form of immortality thanks to time dilation and travel. The narrative explores his life across centuries and his various relationships. The Number of the Beast (1980): Lazarus Long appears as a supporting character in this story, which focuses on a future society grappling with overpopulation and religious extremism. The Cat Who Walks Through Walls (1985): Lazarus Long plays a minor role in this novel, which features a telepathic cat and a heist set in a future with advanced technology. To Sail Beyond Sunset (1987): This is the final novel in the Lazarus Long series and serves as a sequel to "Time Enough for Love." It delves deeper into Lazarus Long's life and experiences. Bonus:
Robert A. Heinlein: Expanded Universe (edited by Robert James): This collection includes short stories written by other authors set in the Heinlein universe, and some feature characters or references to Lazarus Long. However, these are not directly written by Robert Heinlein himself. Reading Order:
There's some flexibility in the reading order, but for a chronological exploration of Lazarus Long's life, here's a suggestion:
Methuselah's Children (1958 revised version) (introduces Lazarus Long) Time Enough for Love (main Lazarus Long story) The Number of the Beast (Lazarus Long in a supporting role) The Cat Who Walks Through Walls (minor Lazarus Long appearance) To Sail Beyond Sunset (sequel to "Time Enough for Love") Enjoy your journey through the life and times of Lazarus Long!

Richard M. Powers cover art for the 1982 paperback edition of Robert A. Heinlein’s “The Number of the Beast.” Powers is credited with introducing elements of cubism and surrealism to sci-fi art in the ‘50s and ‘60s, a break with the comic-book and pulp-derived style that was prevalent. He died in 1996. . #richardpowers #richardmpowers #robertheinlein #robertaheinlein #numberofthebeast #scifiart #paperbackcover https://www.instagram.com/p/ByYxN5Rl2OS/?igshid=15zut03jjrakn

You know what drives me nuts? People calling Robert A Heinlein fascist based on a badly adapted movie that is not very much like the source material.

Robert A. Heinlein - Citizen of the Galaxy (1957) Heinlein's juveniles are pretty great and in this next to last one (if you don't count Starship Troopers, which isn't an official part of the juveniles) he tells a pretty great story. A tendency in this series has been to make the subjects more and more mature as the series goes on, and as the universe expands. There's a kind of a chronological order to these novels which start all the way back with plans to go to the moon and by this book we are already in a really far off-future where there's such a vast human expansion that some people in the farthest corners of the galaxy think of Earth as a kind of myth. As usual, this is a "boy's own adventure" story, we follow Thorby, a child, who starts off as a slave being sold on the stocks of a distant world, he is seen as so worthless that he is bought by a beggar for a pittance. This is probably the best that could happen to him, as there is more to this beggar than appears at first sight. The story moves on as a literal rags to riches tale, as Thorby discovers his path in life as well as who is real family is. Heinlein explores ideas about the wrongness of slavery, the evil of large corporations and the ability to find families which aren't blood related or are even from cultures which are initially alien to you. Thorby ends up moving from family to family and you can feel that this constant severing of roots is traumatic but necessary. Heinlein is much more concerned here with human nature and exploring how we build meaning than the nuts and bolts of science fiction, and that for me makes it one of his best novels in the series.
