What actually bothers me most about this, is since they won't rule out a Robert return by not recasting the role, the chance of Robert ever coming back and getting a damaged-by-prison story just got much slimmer now. And I really wanted that for Robert's return one day.

Also, they are trying real hard to tell us already that this guy is better. 'Openly gay' (so not a closeted bisexual) a 'damaged good guy' (not born evil then...) I just roll my eyes at this point 🙄

It's their attempt at recreating robron because Ryan won't come back. It's not going to work.

I'm switching between "this is going to be hilariously bad" and "they're delusional if they think putting Aaron with a randomer is going to bring back the robron fans" and just plain offended as a robron fan that they think we're so easily swayed that we'll come running back the second Aaron gets to kiss another man named Sugden.

It didn't work with doctor boring, it didn't work with kayak boy, it won't work with a Robert clone who just happens to be gay (instead of complicated bisexual like Robert).

All it'll do is prove there is no recreating robron, and they'll throw Vic (and probably chas) under the bus to push Aaron to go out with John.

(Though I heard the actor who plays John is staying in a hotel in Leeds and wants to go back to Spain where he *actually* lives so hopefully we won't have to suffer through the bullshit too long)
