King Tut made his first appearance in the Batman episode that aired on April 13, 1966. King Tut was the first villian completely created for the show. While Zelda the Great was technically a new character, her story completely mirrored a comic starring a different villian. ("The Curse of Tut", Batman, TV event)

Figaro's Famous Fanfare | 66 Brilliant Baritones Battle OUT NOW!
Gioachino Rossini’s opera Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville) remains one of the most beloved and enduring works in the operatic repertoire.
Among its many memorable moments, Figaro's entrance aria, "Largo al Factotum," stands out as a tour de force for the baritone voice and a cornerstone for both character development and comedic expression.
The famous "Figaro, Figaro, Figaro" section, performed unaccompanied, exemplifies Rossini's wit, musical humour, and masterful control of operatic timing.
This moment showcases the singer’s vocal precision, agility, and musicianship, while also highlighting their acting skills, characterisation, dramatic flair, and ability to engage the audience.

Zoomer Huey, I tend to see people saying why Gen z don’t have sex much.
Holy
Fucking
Shits
These journalists surprisedly have WORSE self awareness than there boomer relatives
Here a hint https://x.com/swannmarcus89/status/1762582001507323991?s=46
And gender dynamics are
nuked in the fields they are surveying. Women and girls are told that all men are predators and misandry is left unchecked
Also, why Hollywood act surprised about the sex abuse?
We all heard about the casting coach, and how suspiciously people from working class backgrounds like Micheal Jackson (yes his dad had his music connections. But essentially mj was a slave and was arguably was the first black child star unless I’m missing someone) and Walt Disney (though not as bad) are painted as monsters while the actual monsters are protected for decades
I mean look at Judy Garland, she was a sweet person and she did help the LBGT in Hollywood and supported the civil rights movement
But her “crazy” behavior makes more sense because she was sexually abused at a extremely young age
And she not the only one, Shirley Temple, the boy who played at the first LA Dennis the Manis
Oh and the Peter Pan actor (a lot of people leave out the part where ALL of Hollywood basically says he can choke and die because he was “too” Disney)
But sorry about the Gen stuff, but the false rape accusations, maybe if you guys didn’t view men (especially white ones) the same way Nazis viewed the Jews while saying all the working class men were Weinstein.
My Gen would have more sex
Tumblr media
Entertainment industry has been like that since the beginning of forever, probably less so when women weren't allowed to participate but still a thing I'm sure.
As for Judy Garland it was nice to see people come out swinging in her defense when someone tried to start shit over well
She was not in control of her carer, saying no was not an option for her with this, but dumbasses that can only think in terms of today's standards never think about that.
Jay North (Dennis the Menace) did ok, so did Shirley Temple, plenty of others not so much, more recently we can look at Drew Barrymore and RDJ who both had fairly public meltdowns and problems.
Drew was ruined since her first film was ET and Spielberg takes care of the kids on set, going beyond the legal requirements.
Bobby Driscol was the Peter Pan VA top of his Wiki article.
Robert "Bobby" Cletus Driscoll (March 3, 1937 – c. March 30, 1968) was an American actor who performed on film and television from 1943 to 1960. He starred in some of the Walt Disney Studios' best-known live-action pictures of that period: Song of the South (1946), So Dear to My Heart (1949), and Treasure Island (1950), as well as RKO's The Window (1949). He served as the animation model and provided the voice for the title role in Peter Pan (1953). He received an Academy Juvenile Award for outstanding performances in So Dear to My Heart and The Window.
He just fell into the child actor pit, where he wasn't "cute" anymore couldn't get gigs and couldn't adjust to not being in the spotlight, the way he went and nobody knowing is awful to think about still.
Jackie Coogan, on the other hand was a different story.
Tumblr media
His parents sucked and as a result there's a series of laws named after him California's Coogan Law all about protecting the earnings of child actors from their parents. % goes into a trust iirc.
He ended up OK in the end though
Tumblr media
The false accusation thing, #me too hurt women because #believe women was taken advantage of to such a degree that even this coming out to light
Tumblr media
has still probably not cleared up for the trooper, and men are opting to not mentor women because of not wanting to risk a false accusation, everyone screams about how rare they are, to which I say so what, why should they assume the risk even if it's minor
Former VP Mike Pence came out and said he won't be alone with a woman that's not his wife in order to ensure that there is no possibility of someone making a claim of impropriety.
And he got this response
Why is anyone going to put their neck on the line when something like what he said is going to get this kind of response.
Maybe instead of crying about how rare false accusations are they should focus on shaming the people making them and coming up with solutions to keep them from happening.
You know instead of blaming the victims of the false accusations.
All this and so much more going on that isn't in this ask goes to the I don't blame people for not having as much sex, it's actually kinda nice too, fewer std's this way.
I went on a couple tangents, hope that's ok

Just thinking about if Hollywood ever decided to do a prog biopic about a band (let's use Yes as an example) it would have to be the anti-Bohemian Rhapsody. It would have to paint the band out to be much raunchier than they actually were, and include a SHITTON of side-characters from other prog bands making guest appearances.
My outline for a completely non-serious, absolutely inaccurate and insane Yes biopic would look something like this: 1. Make them all ridiculously conventionally attractive and NOTHING like the musician they're supposed to be portraying. Guess what motherfuckers? Steve is now 6'2 and more ripped than The Rock.
2. Way gayer than it actually was. Way, way gayer. Bill leaves the band after his sexual tension is resolved, and immediately joins Fripp.
3. Robert Fripp makes several guest appearances. He is played by Weird Al.
4. Ian Anderson also makes several guest appearances and is also played by Weird Al. This is never addressed.
5. Excluding Bill, whenever a band member leaves, this is not addressed. When Peter leaves, for example, the same actor puts on a wig and starts going by Steve. The movie carries on without addressing this.
6. When Rick joins Yes, he walks into Bill and Chris in their fist-fight, and immediately joins in.
7. The most inaccurate part of the movie: there needs to be a TON of women at concerts.
8. Not sure about how we'll end the movie, but I'm thinking one of three ways:
a) Jon returns to his home planet after Tormato, leaving Steve, Chris, and Alan to team up with the Buggles.
b) Film just cuts out in the middle of the story, because it was getting too long and complicated.
c) Ends in the late 80s/early 90s with ABWH and Yes-West settling their differences in a Denny's parking lot.

hey momo! i finally finished one of those "omg i should put these together and put them in a post!" things! BE PROUD. [author's note and asides] @geronimomo-spd and i brainstormed a wonderful concept last night: The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society in BBC Merlin.
The Society lives in/comes from Cornley, a town near Ealdor on the borders of the kingdoms. They are a traveling theatre troupe, currently split up because Chris and Robert argued one too many times about the travel budget and role distribution. Robert arrives first at the court in Camelot, and is allowed to stay because Uther finds him amusing, and is first delighted (socializing as a contest and he is WINNING), but by the time everyone else arrives, he drags Chris in to bail him out. The Society is there to put on a play, but this is complicated by a. their usual problems somehow almost killing Arthur multiple times (which, b. makes Merlin spying on them to figure out their eeevil plan, because that many accidents can only be magic) and c. they are actually slightly less bombastic than usual in their rehearsals because the actual Big Bad of the week is trying to use their play to gain control over Uther (think: something like the twin bit in Most Lamentable). Merlin discovers that Chris has magic and convinces him to help; the spell needs to people to speak the counter-spell in unison. As such, in the climax Merlin can easily do this behind the scenes, but Chris delivers an ad-hoc "speech" across a distressed Vanessa (who did not expect CHRIS of all actors to go off-script for no reason!), having to shout the last bit over Robert who has come on stage to complain about Chris hogging the spotlight. Up until this point, their usual problems half-happen due to the BBEG helping them (aka: they are still wildly incompetent, but for their usual, it's going well! No one has been grievously injured/knocked out, lost their clothes, or destroyed the set). Once the spell is finished, though, everything falls apart Very Quickly [Maybe they start fires?] whilst they have to Leave Quickly to avoid being thrown into jail. Another episode would deal with the society discovering Chris' magic, reacting to that, and probably also discovering their own magic.
Chris: magic comes out as frustration despite a magical lock on his powers Robert: learns magic (excited to mind control people, doesn't want to be one-up'ed by Chris to whom he's all "ur not special") Dennis: most powerful one, part magical creature (distantly related to Kilgharrah), initially a druid, but adopted later by a poor farmer (doesn't know ) Sandra: glamour/illusions, druid child had a fairy neighbor that took her under her wing Trevor: alchemy [i totally forgot alchemy was a Thing in Merlin] elements especially metal!!! unexpected reactions, stuff either explode or grow in weird ways (he was so crafty he just. Got magic) Max: Telepathy (comp.: delight at the audience reactions in canon). Helped out an old lady with a severe case of bitchface, who blesses him to always know what people are thinking. Hasn't discovered how to talk to people telepathically, but he does know how to tune out Chris specifically when he is being shouty. Vanessa: does know she is a Druid, and trying to hide (hence her canon anxiety of spontaneity). Not a lot of magic because she hasn't used it in so long, really good at convincing people, street urchin druid kid Annie: most versatile, shape-shifting (comp.: stagehand AND actor training in canon), had magic when she was a kid. She is like
slightly suspicious about everyone else thinking they're maybe magic users? but it would be insane to have so many magic users in one spot ahahahha
Misc. notes I couldn't put in anywhere:
Dennis randomly stumbles across Kilgharrah (still trapped in the dungeon), no one believes him
Merlin initially assumes Jonathan is the mastermind behind the "murder attempts" because he never manages to get on stage
Robert: u gotta get Arthur in this i wanna impress Uther Chris: why do u wanna impress Uther he KILLED PEOPLE

On Johnny’s trans journey
cw for internalized and externalized transphobia, lesbophobia, alcohilism mentions, canon-compliant violence
Yeah so one day (this is my hc in my CP15 AU where Johnny doesn’t get to stay with the Aldecaldos the whole time between summer 2013 and the 2020s and instead goes back to Kerry NC, thus leading to a Reunion Tour that gets Victor hired by Samurai’s label), there's yet another quidproquo between Victor and him.
In a panic, he suckerpunches Victor rasping "I'm not a fucking tranny [unsaid: like you]"
And something clicks inside Victor's head (probably their chrome thinly-veiled skull rebuffing against the impact) and everything falls to place. As comprehension sets in, their response is instantaneous:
"Well fuck, damn you stupid bitch, I didn't say you were, but now I know you are!!"
And they look at him in disbelief like he's pulled the biggest bit they've ever witnessed, there's a blank where Johnny is pale as a fucking sheet, looking like a ghost that got killed twice more, starting to hyperventilate as he stares at them, and they righten themselves, rubbing and cracking their jaw back into place (that's also when Johnny understand how borged out they secretly are), and they look at him, eyebrows rising, and whistles out,
"Fuck, that explains so much."
—
Johnny once fell upon an entire fortune. Literally. While raiding an abandoned house the enemy forces had been hiding out at, the poor kid had collapsed right onto some corpse of a guy still clinging to a wad of cash. Johnny did what any shellshocked underage impulsive teen soldier would have.
He pocketed the money and hid it, the stress and fear of being caught with it making him sick. He had to get rid of it and quick. And he couldn’t waste it.
He’d gotten the whole premium package: he’d already had a medium shit quality T implant, so he got a mammectomy he paid a fortune for, a scrotum and penis transplant, and a few months later, he got back to the clinic using the rest of the cash plus the little military credit and health care he had for cosmetic surgery that erased his chest scars, rendering him unidentifiable as trans to the naked, cis gaze.
Robert Linder died for good with Johnathan Nauman, and he was a pre-op trans man hopeful for a future that had more colours to it than just reds and blacks and maroons.
—
Only Kerry and Denny knew. Kerry only did because he was himself a semi-closeted trans man. And Johnny acted with such disgust toward the subject anytime he’d brought it up, unless it was about himself and then suddenly it was fucking magically fine (it made Kerry feel special, so he did not question it- if only he’d know just how special he actually was, so special to Johnny that Johnny had to resort to violence to deny himself another chance at loving a man the way he wished he could-) and Kerry’d always just assumed it was just yet another Raised in The Bible Belt thing.
He’d not been entirely wrong.
Denny on the other hand, knew about it because one day, she’d been the only one semi-sober– to this day she does not understand how nor why it had to be her of all people to learn this about their cryptical, aggressive frontman.
He’d been curled up in a corner and mumbling to himself, which wasn’t unusual but rare, but he was also sobbing and clutching his head.
That, was not normal. It was fucking bizarre actually, and she felt even more mortified see this much from him than she’d been the first time she’d gifted a bouquet to a girl she liked (her name was Natasha, she had long auburn hair and a face like a gentle doll, lips pink like fruit) who’d then looked at her up and down and spat,
“I’m not a fucking lesbo.”
As if just the thought had soiled her.
Well somehow that was worse.
And yet she’d approached him, and kneeled beside him.
Now, everyone in Samurai knew about Johnny’s horrid war-induced C-PTSD, and the first rule of thumb about Johnny’s horrid war-induced C-PTSD: You don’t talk about Johnny’s horrid war-induced C-PTSD.
If it needs to be brought up, Johnny is more than capable enough doing it himself and then by gods he’ll only stop when he’s done talking about it.
Many-a-one jaws and noses and ribs and walls and chairs and tables and car windows had beared the testimony of what happened if you broke that rule.
So they didn’t talk about it.
Then the 2013 raid happened. And it somehow got worse.
But let’s not get sidetracked.
Denny had sat next to Johnny, and a decade later she wonders if she wasn’t on some acid trip after all, when he’d not only not slapped her hand off of him, but collapsed against her chest, in the most uninterested way, and wailed just a tad louder, a tad clearer, about some guy he’d stolen everything from, the man who’d taken a bullet from him, and how he was a fraud and one day they would all find out, how he could only keep lying to himself for so long, he’d always just be the delusional bitch his older brothers said he was.
She had not even thought it was possible for Johnny Silverhand to have brothers, much less plural, much less ones that would have abused him and won.
More things were said. Garbled and disjointed, but Denny knew how to speak tongues with men who’d been swallowed by the bottle.
Oh, everyone assumed she was so patient with Henry because she was naive and stupid, but what they didn’t want to understand is that she just knew better. She knew that beneath the violence and the smell of chemicals lied terrified boys who’d grown into broken men, begging for anyone to just understand.
Her father had been such a kind man before the incident.
And so, she’d learned a secret Johnny hadn’t told anybody else, not even Kerry, and that was when she knew.
It was bad. She could never fucking mention it to anyone.
But Denny was used to taboos, and one more didn’t shake her. She just kept on drumming, taking out her rage at the world for burdening her with the pain of everyone around her by beating the shit out of her drumset and making bank off it.
She just knew some things were better left unsaid. Sleeping dogs lying and all that, y’know?
—
And then Victor had to go and fucking ruin it, making Johnny have to come out and say it.
And Johnny’s fists could barely scuff their face, it only broke the skin and bled but nothing underneath got any real damage, so, seemed they were all fucked.
They were gonna have to talk about it. Or at least put words on it, thinking about it, now.
Johnny hated them even more for that.
(That must be why he slept at their place, in their bed, for the next few weeks following.
Sometimes, Kerry would stay over so they could work on their songs, Victor keeping themselves busy with what the fuck ever it was that their imp ass did during their free time, and he’d sleep into bed behind him, or as the little spoon when Johnny felt small like humouring him.
Victor would stay on the same side of the bed and latch onto him one way or another, kissing his scalp softly, and he’d fall asleep, and if he were lucky, he dreamed of cocoa butter scented hair tickling his face, strong lanky dark skinned arms around his frames, two sets of dogtags clinking together softly under the rustles of the sheet.
Sometimes there would be blonde hair falling in a halo around a pale figure, but most of those dreams ended up as nightmares, so that’s not what we’re talking about if we’re talking about the times Johnny got lucky dreaming.
And when he’d wake up, there would be no blood. No screams.
Just Victor’s stupid little hanging charms chiming softly as the AC droned on.
Just Kerry’s snoring against his neck.
Just peace.)

Lyrics:
Love and devotion, baby I can't get enough
Of all that love and devotion in my life
Love and devotion, baby love and devotion
You are the sunshine of my life
When a man loves a woman, a woman loves a man
Love and devotion gotta keep it if you can
A kiss, a smile, even when you cry
Everybody knows it we need it once awhile
So come on come on, you gotta keep it if you can
Love and devotion is the master plan
I'm talking about I'm talking about a wonderful emotion
I'm talking about a game called love and devotion
Tonight is the night
When love shines so bright
And we will be reunited
Love and devotion, baby I can't get enough
Of all that love and devotion in my life
Love and devotion, baby love and devotion
You are the sunshine of my life
Oh-la oh-la oh-la oh-la hey
Oh-la oh-la I want you baby, I want you baby
Oh-la oh-la oh-la oh-la hey
Oh-la oh-la I want you baby, I need you baby
Sweet little dreams as you can see
Easy come easy go but not for me
One life one love one family
Together forever in unity
So come on come on
You gotta keep it if you can
Love and devotion is the master plan
I'm talking about a wonderful untouchable emotion
I'm talking about guess, right
Love and devotion
Tonight is the night
Then love shines so bright
And we will be reunited
Love and devotion, baby I can't get enough
Of all that love and devotion in my life
Love and devotion, baby love and devotion
You are the sunshine of my life
Oh-la oh-la oh-la oh-la hey
Oh-la oh-la I want you baby, I want you baby
Oh-la oh-la oh-la oh-la hey
Oh-la oh-la I want you baby, I need you baby
When a man loves a woman, a woman loves a man
Love and devotion gotta keep it if you can
A kiss, a smile, even when you cry
Everybody knows that we need it once awhile
Love and devotion, baby I can't get enough
Of all that love and devotion in my life
Love and devotion, baby love and devotion
You are the sunshine of my life
