Now That Robby's Back in Miyagi-Do!

Season 5 was a letdown in my opinion!

Robby may be Miyagi-Do, at heart, but he no longer has any connections to Daniel or his students (I still don't see Eli/Hawk as a real Miyagi-Do student), based on watching S5!

There are two things I would like to happen to Robby:

Daniel takes Robby to Mr. Miyagi's Bonsai tree on Devil's Cauldron from KK3

Daniel gives Robby Mr. Miyagi's truck

having the recognition as a fun, gorgeous film is one thing, but does no one else see the depth of that fun??? how, BECAUSE it’s so light and fun, we get to see these intense dark moments in contrast?

but the academy is men by a solid majority, and most men weren’t taught to see themselves in female stories like women are. they are the default, so when the story is something other than the default, it doesn’t connect with them. they don’t see that incredible darkness behind margot robbie’s eyes and i’m dying here in a pink car, wishing barbie got the oscars it deserved

SPOILERS FOR COBRA KAI SEASON SIX BELOW.

Well, there you have it, Robby won a fight, he beat Miguel and he became Captain. This was a small victory to appease Robby fans, as if we didn't already know that he's the better fighter. It all just feels lacking. And it is now clear, more than ever, that he won't be winning the Sekai Tekai, and the writers of CK will be handing it over to Miguel, as usual. Robby's character won't get the justice it deserves, Robby won't get the win he deserves. And Tory turning to Kreese, her "leaving" Robby proves he'll lose. Because if Kenny is Robby's weakness, then Tory is certainly his strength, his win against Miguel made that clear. During his fight, when he saw her, he gained on Miguel. Now, during the SK, my boy's got to lead his team to victory, fight against the best there is while his girl fights on the team against him. Tory and Robby not sticking together, not winning together, him not being able to be there for her in her grief, not being able respond to her violence with softness, him not being able to hold her down, her not being on "his side", her not being his strength, will cost him in the tournament. Why can't my babies be happy?

just rewatched Instant Family and there's this scene where the adoptive parents are fed up with their adoptee cause the kid's being difficult and the godsend that is grandma sally says to the adoptive parents (about the adoptee) "she doesn't hate you, she just thinks you don't love her." and this is so robby and johnny coded. robby has been abandoned by johnny over and over again, and it's led him to believe that johnny doesn't love him. and i'm crying cause no one cared enough about robby to tell johnny how much he really hurt his kid.

Robbie is such an underrated character. He deserves the best and I am slowly becoming an apologist for him.
